Luke Sutton: Leveraging LinkedIn Effectively

Most professionals are unknowingly sabotaging their LinkedIn results with profile mistakes and weak content. Find out how to fix both so your ideal clients come to you ready to talk.

In this episode, Jennie and Luke Sutton discuss:

• LinkedIn as a professional relationship-building platform
• Common profile mistakes and benefits-focused positioning
• Structuring high-converting LinkedIn posts and hooks
• Effective calls to action and lead magnets
• Authentic, trust-building communication in DMs and sales

Key Takeaways:

• LinkedIn works best when treated as a professional relationship-building platform, not just another social network.
• Profiles that lead with clear benefits instead of titles and credentials are far more likely to attract interest and clicks.
• Strong LinkedIn posts start with a scroll-stopping hook, tell a relatable story, and end with a strategic call to action.
• Direct messages should focus on genuine curiosity about the other person, building trust before ever mentioning an offer.
• The energy behind your communication—authenticity, sincerity, and a true desire to help—is what people actually feel and respond to.

"No matter how you're communicating with people, people also smell desperation." — Luke Sutton
