We need Mongrel - Episode 31

The case file is open. The evidence is mounting. And something is seriously missing at Adelaide.

In Episode 31 of Attempted Murder, we investigate the latest losses at the Adelaide Crows, with Butts and Pedler leaving the club and questions mounting about what happens next.

But this investigation goes deeper than departures.

We’re asking the uncomfortable question: what is actually missing from this football club?

The answer might be sitting right in front of us.

Mongrel.

That nasty, uncompromising edge. The refusal to lie down. The instinct to hunt when the game is slipping away. Because when Adelaide is five goals down, where is the flight? Where is the desperation? Where is the bloke who says, “Not today. Not on my watch.”

Other clubs seem to have it. Adelaide, right now, doesn’t.

So we dust off the crime scene, examine the evidence and ask the big question:

Can you build a successful football club without mongrel?

Or is this the one piece of evidence that finally cracks the case?

The Crows are under investigation. The charge sheet is growing. And the verdict is far from in.
