MENGENAI EPISOD INI
In this episode, Rev. Chris Gordon and Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan tackle the pervasive issue of controversy within Christian circles. They discuss the rise of 'hot take theology' mentalities, exemplified by figures like Joel Webbon, and the dangers of mistaking attention-seeking for 'bold Christianity.' The conversation delves into the detrimental effects of anonymous online attacks, citing the Josh Buice situation as a stark example. They emphasize the biblical importance of face-to-face confrontation, character in pastoral ministry, and the slow, deliberate process of church discipline, contrasting it with society's demand for immediate justice. The pastors also examine the role of 'watchdogs,' the perils of platforming controversial figures like Corey Mahler, and the ultimate futility of chasing headlines over the evergreen truths of the Gospel and the ordinary means of grace. The episode concludes with a powerful call to appreciate faithful pastors who quietly labor for the Kingdom.
