Same Prompt, Different HVAC Picks: What Our AI Search Test Revealed

Why does the same AI search prompt produce different HVAC recommendations? In episode 2 of A Chat with Chat, Aaron from Sequoia GEO and his ChatGPT AI co-host examine a live local-search test using Gemini and discuss what the results mean for home service businesses.

We compare Gemini Flash and Pro, look at which companies recur and which sources change, and discuss the difference between being mentioned and being cited. We also explore why one AI answer is not a reliable AI ranking report and how repeated tests and real customer prompts can make your research more useful.

For HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping, and other local service operators who want to understand AI search and generative engine optimization (GEO). This is an exploratory demonstration, not proof of a ranking formula or a guarantee of AI recommendations. ChatGPT participates as an AI co-host with a synthetic voice.
