The Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers are both 0-2, but Kyle Crabbs and Garret Greenlee believe the reasons for those slow starts go much deeper than the standings. On Second Down of 4th & Football, the guys first take a closer look at Indianapolis and ask what the Colts can realistically do to fix their problems with the roster they currently have. The Colts have allowed 37 points per game through the first two weeks and have surrendered more than 500 yards in each of their first two games. Kyle and Garret discuss the lack of high-end talent across the roster, the pressure surrounding Daniel Jones, the linebacking corps, the wide receiver situation and the long-term consequences of the franchise's recent decisions. They also discuss the Colts' ongoing quarterback situation after Anthony Richardson failed to develop as hoped, and whether Indianapolis is stuck in a cycle of remaining competitive enough to avoid a complete reset without having enough top-end talent to seriously contend. The conversation then shifts to Los Angeles, where the Chargers' 0-2 start has raised much bigger questions. Kyle and Garret debate whether the Chargers' problems are simply early-season growing pains or whether something more systemic is happening. Los Angeles has scored just 28 total points through two games while losing the turnover battle 5-1, and the upcoming schedule includes road games against Buffalo, Seattle and Kansas City. A major focus is new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. The guys examine whether the Chargers are running many of the same concepts, formations and sequencing that contributed to the problems McDaniel experienced during his time in Miami. They also discuss Justin Herbert's early performance, the offensive line, Cole Strange, the team's sack rate and whether responsibility for the offensive struggles should be shared between the quarterback, offensive line, receivers and coaching staff. Kyle ultimately argues that the Chargers have essentially recreated the "Mike McDaniel experience" from Miami in just two weeks. Are the Chargers' problems fixable, or is their 0-2 start a sign of something much bigger? And can the Colts find a way forward with their current roster? This is 4th & Football from A to Z Sports with Kyle Crabbs and Garret Greenlee. 00:00 Second Down: Colts & Chargers 00:29 Is The Colts' Season Already Over? 01:07 The Colts' Lack Of Top-End Talent 01:26 Indianapolis Has Allowed 37 Points Per Game 02:17 The Colts' Sense Of Urgency 03:19 The Wide Receiver Problems 03:42 Daniel Jones And The Colts' QB Situation 04:33 Indianapolis Is Stuck In Limbo 05:18 Anthony Richardson Didn't Work Out 06:18 Chargers: Blip Or Bigger Problem? 06:35 Kyle Says The Chargers' Season Is Over 07:18 Did The Chargers Lose Their Best Coach? 07:44 The Chargers' Brutal Upcoming Schedule 08:23 Justin Herbert And The Offensive Problems 09:03 Mike McDaniel's Chargers Offense 10:01 The Same Problems From Miami? 11:03 Chargers' Offensive Line Issues 12:01 Why The Mike McDaniel Problems Persist 12:25 Why McDaniel's Offense Doesn't Travel 13:14 Why Wasn't McDaniel Hired As A Head Coach? 13:36 Is Herbert Also To Blame? 14:20 The Chargers Speed-Ran The Miami Experience 15:04 The Schedule Gets Even Worse 15:42 Are The Chargers Done?
