243. I Started a Substack. Here's Why It Will Change My Life

In this solo episode, I share the heart behind launching my Substack, Good Girl Prophet. It's a reclamation of voice, trust, and creative sovereignty after two decades of online sharing across blogs, brands, and social media.

I speak honestly about what led me here: from chasing the algorithm to listening deeply, from creating to be liked to creating from truth. This episode is about choosing resonance over performance, depth over dopamine, and remembering that you are the main dish… not just a bite-sized piece of content.

Whether you're plotting a creative escape, ditching the algorithm hamster wheel, or just tired of shrink-wrapping your soul for social media, this one's for you.

• Why Substack feels like the right next space for deeper expression

• How years of blogging, TikTok, and Breakfast Criminals shaped my creative path

• A look behind the name Good Girl Prophet — and what it means to unbrand my voice

• Why freedom doesn't come from the platform, but the energy you bring to it

• How social media can become an altar, not an algorithm

• My reflections on content, motherhood, money, style, business, and self-trust

• "It's not Substack that's freeing me. It's me bringing freedom to Substack."

• "There's no one platform that saves us. What matters is the energy we bring to it."

• "Stop pretending you didn't hear the download. Just make the thing."

• "This is my bet on myself. On nonlinear paths. On truth as a business model."

• "You are not the appetizer. You are the main dish."
