이 에피소드에 관해
Three incredible guests discuss building inspiring careers despite facing significant barriers. Maya Kashif shares her experience navigating the classical music world whilst managing invisible disabilities including Type 1 diabetes and visual impairment, explaining how asking for what you need isn't a weakness but a necessity. Jocelyn Si from Walt Disco discusses staying authentic to your taste, their songwriting practices, and why they believe the music industry rewards those who are true to themselves.
Mobo Agoro talks about creating space in the Scottish music scene when you don't see yourself represented, the importance of building community, and finding like-minded people who may not share your exact barriers but understand the feeling of not belonging. Together, they explore how to advocate for your needs, manage performance anxiety, support other freelancers, and create opportunities when traditional doors don't open.
