이 팟캐스트 소개 🔗
Time Ram, a Doctor Who podcast which randomly selects a mismatched Doctor and story from 60 years of the show and attempts to ram them together.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but if you've ever wondered how 'Mummy on the Orient Express' would have looked in the Colin Baker era, or how 'The Caves of Androzani' would work starring Peter Capaldi, then Time Ram is the podcast for you.
The regular hosts are Rupert Booth, Paul Ferry and Barry Williams.

Well, well, well... that's the episode we're tackling this week -The Well - only we'll be swapping the flamboyant Ncuti Gatwa for the differently-flamboyant Colin Baker. Along the way, we'll meet the galaxy's most unlikely space marines, and find Eric Sykes, trapped in a garlic mine run by the Gast…

Time Ram flexes its mighty... arts... to bring you tenth Doctor David Tennant starring in the Sylvester McCoy Dr Who story 'Battlefield'. It's time to bring the Brigadier out of retirement one last time, but which one? There's also mother issues, dubious archaeology and plenty of Arthuriana to enjo…
It's a landmark episode for Time Ram, as we take the Fourteenth Doctor David Tennant's 'The Star Beast' and reinvent it for (checks notes) the First Doctor William Hartnell. And since it's a first story, that makes it THE first story. Who is the mysterious old man watching unearthly teenager Susan …
Time Ram faces the ultimate dilemma: Hinchcliffe or Williams? Find out what happens when we take the sixth Doctor story 'Vengeance on Varos' and place it in the era of fourth Doctor Tom Baker! Along the way we take in George and Mildred, Betamax and looking like... erm... rude parts. But that's how…
Clip! Clop! Clip! Clop! Watch out for that ghostly equine figure behind you as we take the Capaldi classic 'Heaven Sent' and reimagine it with Ncuti Gatwa. Get the tissues ready (no, not for that) as we have emotional reunions with Susan, Inspector Macra and a certain horse. Hmm, it feels like we'v…
Time Ram has a hard day's night as we take 'The Devil's Chord' and harmonise it with the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. Starring Tegan 'Ticket to Ride' Jovanka, drug-peddler Nyssa of Traken, and 'Magic' Adric (aw bless). Oh yeah, and the Beatles. Come together!
Guest-starring Jon Arnold.
Gween! The colour for this episode is gween! Join Time Ram in an expedition into the steaming jungles of Central London, as we take Peter Capaldi's 'In the Forest of the Night' and reimagine it with the Second Doctor. Who is Johnny Morris, and does he mean the Doctor and his friends any harm? What …
Time Ram finds itself in Davey Jones' locker as we take Matt Smith's 'The Curse of the Black Spot' and update it to the Ncuti Gatwa era! In the process we discover dodgy story logic, characters who should be dead, characters who shouldn't be dead and a CGI Eileen Way. It's another one of our surpri…
All the Gateways are one - which must make for a terrible crush when everyone needs the loo after their largely pickle-based lunch! Join Time Ram as we journey through Warriors' Gate in the company of the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory, exploring Romana's sexy arms, and the galaxy's most impractical…
Time Ram rides for missing 60s Dalek episodes as we examine 'The Power of the Daleks'. But leave the Patrick Troughton, it's Sylvester McCoy we want as we adapt this story to 1987! Prepare yourselves for blue tinsel, Sabalom Glitz and playing the spoons on governor Hensell. And also... Y-Fronts.

► Tell us about you and your podcast
Our 3 aging hosts have been Doctor Who fans, writers and creators for many years, now. We enjoy Doctor Who from all eras, but would be the first to admit that it has changed a great deal in that time. We enjoy mixing different eras of the show, and hope that our listeners do, too. The results are often surprising, sometimes revealing or hilarious, but always interesting.► Why & how did you start this podcast?
The idea to podcast came about during lock down, when seeing each other in person became difficult. We've listened to many podcasts, and particularly enjoy those which bring humour to their subject matter. Doctor Who podcasting seems like a crowded marketplace, but we felt like we could bring something fun and new to it, while having fun ourselves. We started recording episodes in mid-2021, but it took us nearly 6 months to start releasing them - haven't looked back!► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
We release an episode every 2 weeks. We all have lives and day jobs outside of podcasting, so finding the time is hard. We can record an episode in a single night, but editing, adding music and effects takes much longer. We fund this podcast ourselves, so spending is kept to a minimum. We beg and borrow equipment!► What do you gain from podcasting?
We make no money from this podcast. At this point, it is a fun project that we get to do together. If it can't pay for itself, maybe a time will come that we have to give up, but I can't see that happening for some time yet.► How does your podcasting process look like?
We're spread across the UK, and can't really meet in person very easily, so we record episodes over Zoom, and then edit on free software Audacity. Some of our episodes have guests - so far these have been mates that we've made during years in the Doctor Who fan community, but we'd certainly be open to spreading our net a bit wider. Our first guest was writer Jon Blum, who has been a pal for years, now.► How do you market your show?
We advertise each new episode on Twitter and Facebook as well as our website, timeram.com. Most of our listeners seem to be on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, but we're available on a wide range of platforms, including Google Podcasts and Amazon Music.► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Parts of this process have been a steep learning curve. I would advise new podcasters to think about the equipment and software that they're using, and to understand what it's capable of. It took us a few weeks to realise that Zoom could record a separate track for each speaker! But mainly, I would say have fun with it. Whether it picks up an audience or not is less important than having a good time.► Where can we learn more about you & your podcasts?
