In this celebratory episode of The Weekly Beat with Matoma, Matoma reunites with Connor Ball from UK band The Vamps to mark ten years of being an artist, and reflect on their global hit “All Night.” The two revisit how that unexpected pop-rock x EDM crossover changed their lives and careers, recalling late-night sessions, label doubts, and the slow-burn success that followed. From the first time they performed live together to the backstage moments that solidified their friendship, it’s a genuine look back at a song that became much more than just a hit.
But this episode isn’t just about the past — it’s a turning point. With The Vamps on hiatus, Connor reveals plans for his new solo project, stepping into new creative territory for the first time. Matoma champions his evolution, encouraging him to explore freely and embrace the unknown. It’s an honest, uplifting conversation about growth, risk, and the power of long-term artistic connection.
