In this episode of The Mindset Podcast, Coach Sally Allen dives into one of the biggest career challenges professionals face: how to gain visibility without feeling like you're self-promoting.
Using the story of one of her coaching clients, Sally shares how a talented engineer transformed from quietly contributing behind the scenes into confidently advocating for a leadership role. Together, they worked through the mindset barriers that held her back, built lasting confidence through intentional action, and discovered that true visibility isn't about talking more about yourself—it's about highlighting the impact you've made through others.
Sally breaks down the practical strategies that helped her client earn recognition from senior leadership, receive a clear roadmap toward a Senior Director position, and step fully into the leader she was already becoming.
This episode is a powerful reminder that confidence is built, not born—and that waiting to be noticed is rarely the path to career growth.
