Shōjo

We read a bunch of Shōjo manga Content Warning: Most of these have trans & gender nonconforming individuals who, whilst handled well by the standards of the era their respective books, are not great by modern standards. Fushugi Yugi also depicts rape and other forms of sexual violence in particularly regressive ways. We don't delve too deeply into this subject in the episode but if you were considering reading the subject matter before listening to the episode please be aware.
