We welcome animator and fangirl (and fellow Israeli) Leigh Lahav to the show, to speak to us about the success of her fan-based creations, and how their popularity paved the way for her to work and succeed in the industry. She tells us how she got started, how her art school experience was the opposite of what she needed, and how she got her groove back when she started making videos for her own fun.
We also chat about many fandom-ish things, including:
* Doctor Who: How excited we are for a Doctor generating into a different gender. Leigh shares different theories around the question: Did the former Doctor know or even chose to regenerate into the form of a woman?; How much do we love Billie Piper?; (a lot.)
* Stars Wars: The Last Jedi: Rey, the flawless hero that still has flaws; shipping Rey and Kylo Ren, that oh-so-problematic ship;
* Fanfiction as exploration, and why it's the place where it's okay to explore different taboos, including things you'll never accept in mainstream media; Fan-art and fanfiction for your own creation as the ultimate form of complement and the height of success;
* And much more!
