00:00:00.239 --> 00:00:01.679
Like, subscribe, comment.
00:00:02.000 --> 00:00:04.400
And my editor can edit that in the beginning.
00:00:07.040 --> 00:00:09.199
I'm not real good with this influencer thing.
00:00:09.279 --> 00:00:10.720
So you guys want to be for real?
00:00:11.359 --> 00:00:12.640
We're back with the podcast.
00:00:13.919 --> 00:00:15.519
Hey, don't forget to like, subscribe, and comment.
00:00:15.599 --> 00:00:17.600
So we can cut that out for that at the beginning.
00:00:19.679 --> 00:00:20.320
Hello.
00:00:21.199 --> 00:00:22.800
Do I say hello, my peoples?
00:00:22.960 --> 00:00:23.519
No, I don't.
00:00:23.679 --> 00:00:24.239
Yeah, you do.
00:00:24.480 --> 00:00:25.440
Do I on this one too?
00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:26.480
Okay, okay.
00:00:27.679 --> 00:00:28.960
Got vacation brain.
00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:30.960
Hello, my peoples.
00:00:31.199 --> 00:00:33.439
Robert the Realist back today with another podcast.
00:00:33.520 --> 00:00:34.479
Yeah, that sounded right.
00:00:34.560 --> 00:00:35.280
Yeah, that sounded right.
00:00:35.520 --> 00:00:35.840
Yeah.
00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:38.719
Um we got a special guest today, as you can see.
00:00:38.799 --> 00:00:40.880
And we also have uh Jujijia.
00:00:41.039 --> 00:00:41.200
Yeah.
00:00:41.520 --> 00:00:42.320
The Swiss.
00:00:42.560 --> 00:00:43.200
The Swiss.
00:00:43.520 --> 00:00:45.119
Short for the Swiss Army knife.
00:00:45.280 --> 00:00:47.759
And we have my, what did we say, sister from another mother?
00:00:47.840 --> 00:00:49.679
Is that what we is that what it is?
00:00:50.079 --> 00:00:51.200
Probably my brother in Christ.
00:00:51.520 --> 00:00:52.240
Brother in Christ.
00:00:52.399 --> 00:00:52.719
Okay.
00:00:53.039 --> 00:00:54.799
Enola's with us today.
00:00:54.960 --> 00:00:56.000
I'm so happy about it.
00:00:56.159 --> 00:00:57.520
Oh, somebody's trying to call me now.
00:00:57.679 --> 00:00:59.520
See what this is state of Missouri.
00:00:59.600 --> 00:01:00.719
I don't think I want to take that.
00:01:01.119 --> 00:01:02.880
They're trying to send you another thing.
00:01:03.280 --> 00:01:04.239
Yeah, that's crazy.
00:01:04.400 --> 00:01:06.319
Um, I'm not answering your phone.
00:01:06.560 --> 00:01:08.799
Um, yeah, so Enola's in today.
00:01:08.879 --> 00:01:10.079
I I I know her.
00:01:10.159 --> 00:01:11.599
I've known her for quite a while.
00:01:11.760 --> 00:01:14.959
She's been really good friends with my wife longer than she's known me.
00:01:15.280 --> 00:01:17.840
And uh, but we didn't go to Romania together.
00:01:18.079 --> 00:01:18.400
Uh-huh.
00:01:18.560 --> 00:01:19.280
Yes, we did.
00:01:19.439 --> 00:01:23.680
Yeah, that was creates a relationship when you go halfway across the world with someone.
00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:24.159
Yeah.
00:01:24.719 --> 00:01:24.879
Yeah.
00:01:25.200 --> 00:01:26.879
I could see how that that would correlate.
00:01:27.120 --> 00:01:32.640
Yeah, I don't so far on my uh missions trips, I haven't been with anybody I didn't like, so that's a good thing.
00:01:32.879 --> 00:01:33.040
Yeah.
00:01:33.359 --> 00:01:34.319
It's all turned out.
00:01:34.640 --> 00:01:52.719
But Anola shared at 21 Days of Prayer, and she's I'll let her go into that as as detailed or non-detailed as you want, you know, about a about a situation that she went through personally and how I mean God's kind of I'm you know, it's kind of hard to say that we want to say God did it all.
00:01:53.200 --> 00:01:53.439
He did.
00:01:53.680 --> 00:01:58.480
You know, when some people are like, Yeah, but you, you know, you had to I'm not speaking to you, I'm just speaking in general.
00:01:58.719 --> 00:02:03.840
Well, I had this medication or I had this counselor or I had heard this happen, right?
00:02:04.319 --> 00:02:05.680
But he still controls all of them.
00:02:05.840 --> 00:02:07.200
So to me, it's like all of it.
00:02:07.359 --> 00:02:09.039
Yeah, it's like, yeah, he did.
00:02:09.280 --> 00:02:15.280
He may have not uh wrote the prescription that pulled you out of whatever you're going through, not you specifically.
00:02:15.439 --> 00:02:21.439
I had just saying that, speaking in terms of myself, I had to get on some medications to pull myself out of some stuff.
00:02:21.520 --> 00:02:28.080
So yeah, so she spoke of 21 Days of Prayer, and I thought it was a really good story, and I had to look at my wife and go, I didn't know that.
00:02:28.319 --> 00:02:33.840
Seemed like you had everything together, and so you know, I think your story would resonate with a lot of people.
00:02:33.919 --> 00:02:38.960
So I'll let you kind of thank you jump right in there and tell us where you where you want to start.
00:02:39.360 --> 00:02:57.680
Well, I kind of want to start with um, I think people of our generation, Bobby, are most often we were brought up that you don't share things, that you keep things to yourself, and um we weren't given the option to share our feelings and we weren't asked how we felt, and you just kept on going.
00:02:57.840 --> 00:02:58.000
Yeah.
00:02:58.639 --> 00:03:03.919
And so the last probably the better part of this year was like that for me.
00:03:04.080 --> 00:03:12.240
I had fallen into a deep depression, I had ended a 20-year relationship that I was in, and I just couldn't get back on my feet.
00:03:12.479 --> 00:03:31.840
And I started to lose interest in a career and a job that I loved very much, and so it was just sort of a vortex of things that went on at the same time, and the devil took his opportunity and he jumped on my back and he was he was ready to go.
00:03:32.879 --> 00:03:52.960
So I knew that I needed to get professional help, and my sister sent me a list of Christian organizations that were more of like intensive therapy as opposed to like everyday therapy, and one of them happened to be a place called um the Ranch of Hope in Colorado.
00:03:53.039 --> 00:04:04.879
And so I called there, and it turns out the lady's name is Hope, and she um we had a wonderful conversation, and I just knew right then that that was where I was supposed to go.
00:04:05.680 --> 00:04:22.560
So I the program started on a Monday, and on that Friday I heard God tell me you need to go now because I was still in the throes of a very deep depression, and you know, was starting to make some choices again that I had made back in my 20s as far as alcohol and things like that.
00:04:22.800 --> 00:04:25.360
And um I didn't want to make those choices again.
00:04:25.519 --> 00:04:28.000
So I put some things in a bag and and I took off.
00:04:28.240 --> 00:04:36.079
And I am so lucky to to be from Overly and to have some lifelong friends who have just always, always been there.
00:04:36.240 --> 00:04:43.279
And so one of those friends I we had had plans that Saturday, and I called her and said, I can't meet you tomorrow.
00:04:43.360 --> 00:04:44.800
And she said, What's going on with you?
00:04:44.959 --> 00:04:46.000
Something's going on.
00:04:46.399 --> 00:04:47.519
And so I told her.
00:04:47.600 --> 00:04:56.959
Um so her husband brought her to where I was in Kansas City, and she went to Colorado with me for the week to support me through this journey.
00:04:57.199 --> 00:05:04.800
And I cannot say enough positive things, of course, about this friend, this wonderfully lifelong supportive friend, or with a ranch of hope.
00:05:05.120 --> 00:05:09.360
I did, you know, from the outside, it looked like I had it all together.
00:05:09.439 --> 00:05:21.360
Um, I had a great job, I had a career, I had a lot of friends, and I was I was dying inside and I knew God, but I knew that something spiritually wasn't aligning for me.
00:05:21.439 --> 00:05:23.920
And I had made a lot of bad choices in the past.
00:05:24.240 --> 00:05:27.360
I had devoted my life to my career.
00:05:27.680 --> 00:05:33.199
And before I left Mowberly, God said to me, Your life will have a different meaning when you get back.
00:05:33.439 --> 00:05:33.600
Wow.
00:05:34.000 --> 00:05:35.040
And I said, Okay.
00:05:35.519 --> 00:05:42.000
So I get to Colorado, we go through this tremendous week-long program, which is essentially a one-on-one.
00:05:42.560 --> 00:05:45.839
Women are with the female counselor, men are with the male counselor.
00:05:46.240 --> 00:05:48.800
It is definitely in God's country, it's way up in the mountains.
00:05:50.879 --> 00:05:54.079
It's beautiful, it's so high in the mountains, even the air was a little thin.
00:05:54.160 --> 00:05:56.639
Oh, you guys are gonna be hard to breathe.
00:05:56.800 --> 00:05:57.279
It's here.
00:05:57.920 --> 00:05:58.560
It's okay.
00:05:58.800 --> 00:05:59.600
It's the air.
00:05:59.759 --> 00:06:05.040
Um, and I I just can't even put into words how present God was.
00:06:05.360 --> 00:06:05.839
That's awesome.
00:06:06.079 --> 00:06:06.560
There's awesome.
00:06:07.199 --> 00:06:10.399
Um, the whole program is just so Christ-centered.
00:06:10.720 --> 00:06:18.399
So I came back and um definitely felt better, but could tell there were still some things that I needed to uh iron out in my life.
00:06:18.879 --> 00:06:26.560
So I ended up leaving the job I had been at and took a new career path, sort of a break from what I was doing.
00:06:26.720 --> 00:06:37.040
And I I I want to mention that throughout this time, God showed me I I think sometimes as Christians, we always want to see the best in people, right?
00:06:37.680 --> 00:06:38.959
And and that's good.
00:06:39.279 --> 00:06:46.959
We should, but I've never had a very good antenna when it comes to those things, I think, because I want to see the best in people.
00:06:47.120 --> 00:06:48.240
I think everybody does.
00:06:48.480 --> 00:06:56.720
And that's a lesson that I learned the hard way throughout this process is who your friends are, who they aren't.
00:06:57.199 --> 00:06:59.439
Um the discernment factor in that.
00:06:59.759 --> 00:07:00.800
Yes, absolutely.
00:07:01.279 --> 00:07:07.040
And and most importantly, how I can be a good friend to the next person that goes through something like this.
00:07:07.120 --> 00:07:11.439
And I can't say enough, you know, I was I was suicidal, I was done.
00:07:11.680 --> 00:07:12.639
I was just done.
00:07:13.360 --> 00:07:16.879
And I didn't have a plan, but it wouldn't be hard to make one.
00:07:17.199 --> 00:07:31.199
And when I came through that program and came home, it changed my life, it changed my job, it changed the people I was around and focused my everything on God.
00:07:31.680 --> 00:07:33.040
My whole life changed.
00:07:33.519 --> 00:07:34.639
My entire life changed.
00:07:34.800 --> 00:07:38.240
So I was blessed to be able to not work for a couple of months.
00:07:38.399 --> 00:07:42.879
And I literally spent that couple months with God every day.
00:07:43.120 --> 00:07:48.639
I got up every morning, I talked to God, I'd go walk, I'd come back, I'd spend more time in his word.
00:07:49.040 --> 00:07:51.199
I read a couple of John Bevere books.
00:07:51.279 --> 00:07:52.959
He's a wonderful Christian author.
00:07:53.279 --> 00:07:55.279
And God turned my life around.
00:07:55.519 --> 00:07:57.040
He just totally turned my life around.
00:07:57.199 --> 00:08:01.519
I depression, anybody who's gone through depression, I know so many people have.
00:08:01.680 --> 00:08:02.959
It's so heavy.
00:08:03.279 --> 00:08:06.240
It's just uh like carrying around a bunch of rocks.
00:08:06.639 --> 00:08:13.600
And when you come through that and get on the other side of that, the feeling is so incredible.
00:08:14.319 --> 00:08:16.399
Um just to be so free of that.
00:08:16.639 --> 00:08:24.160
And it is God, and it's trusting him every single day and saying to him, you know, I had to say to him, God, I don't know what to do.
00:08:24.399 --> 00:08:27.439
I I don't know how to get out of this, I don't know how to straighten this.
00:08:27.519 --> 00:08:31.120
I God didn't want me in the 20-year relationship I had been in anymore.
00:08:31.279 --> 00:08:36.480
But I was I've always said I'm beat I can beat a dead horse, you know, to death twice or ten times.
00:08:36.799 --> 00:08:41.600
And I I think again as humans, we get into these we just do the same thing.
00:08:41.840 --> 00:08:41.919
Right.
00:08:42.240 --> 00:08:49.440
You know, we like repetitiveness, we like sickness and breaking free from that and knowing that that's not what God wants you to do.
00:08:49.840 --> 00:08:52.240
And he wants you to listen to him.
00:08:52.639 --> 00:09:01.279
Again, I cannot speak highly enough about this Christian, this intensive Christian counseling in Colorado, and then having a supportive church.
00:09:01.919 --> 00:09:10.639
You know, I have made I lost a couple of friends through this process, but it opened my eyes to the people in my life that I gained.
00:09:10.879 --> 00:09:25.120
You know, and we at Family Life Fellowship, we go to church with incredible people, we have an incredible pastoral team, and I've talked to so many people who um either are going through a depression.
00:09:25.279 --> 00:09:28.720
And I will say, have you reached out to someone at the church?
00:09:29.039 --> 00:09:30.480
Have you asked for prayer?
00:09:30.879 --> 00:09:35.200
Because there is incredible power, power in that.
00:09:36.000 --> 00:09:44.159
I have asked Patricia Comstock, you know, she prays for me, and I have been healed of things by God.
00:09:44.639 --> 00:09:50.080
But I opened up to her and said, you know, can you pray for me about this?
00:09:50.240 --> 00:09:55.679
And just that communal prayer and finding the church family.
00:09:55.919 --> 00:09:58.320
And Sunday's my favorite day now.
00:09:58.559 --> 00:09:59.360
It's a pretty good day.
00:09:59.440 --> 00:10:00.320
It is a pretty good day.
00:10:02.799 --> 00:10:08.639
Now you throw a football in there, so now the good foods and some snacks.
00:10:08.799 --> 00:10:11.679
I mean you need to get the church in there, the football snacks.
00:10:12.000 --> 00:10:13.200
That's what we get written for.
00:10:15.919 --> 00:10:20.960
Yeah, Sunday night, not so much, but whatever.
00:10:21.120 --> 00:10:21.600
Yeah.
00:10:21.840 --> 00:10:38.480
No, you know, you talked about something a minute ago, and I agree with you, and I I don't quite understand why we've made it this way, but you you talked about basically, and I and I've heard it from other people too, is like if if we really have a problem, our generation, we have just grown numb to it.
00:10:38.639 --> 00:10:42.720
Like I could probably have asked somebody to pray over my back today.
00:10:42.799 --> 00:10:45.519
Like, just as an this is an example, but I'm like, no.
00:10:46.320 --> 00:10:47.120
I'll be fine.
00:10:47.360 --> 00:10:49.279
I'll be fine, you know, and I haven't.
00:10:49.440 --> 00:10:49.679
Sure.
00:10:49.919 --> 00:11:00.399
Why, you know, I wonder I'm also on the other side of the coin, which I think I don't know just being real, but I think those powers can be abused.
00:11:00.559 --> 00:11:12.240
I think, you know, some people I don't know how to say it without some people can talk about it too much or make too big of a deal about something that can be very easily fixed by something that they do themselves.
00:11:12.960 --> 00:11:14.480
And that's a nice way to put it.
00:11:14.879 --> 00:11:16.320
That is a very nice way to put it.
00:11:16.639 --> 00:11:17.200
But it's true.
00:11:17.360 --> 00:11:26.000
I mean, some people can take it and abuse it, but the people who just sit there and suppress it and suppress it and suppress it, and it just fills up like a bottle.
00:11:26.320 --> 00:11:28.480
And eventually it's gonna explode.
00:11:28.720 --> 00:11:31.039
Eventually it will, and eventually you have to talk about it.
00:11:31.360 --> 00:11:38.799
And that's where you got that's the I don't know, the threshold that you have to eventually hit to be our generation.
00:11:38.879 --> 00:11:43.840
To you know, usually it's just lace up the bootstraps and go.
00:11:44.159 --> 00:11:54.720
I feel like that's a pretty big difference between like my generation and your guys' generation because I feel like everybody talks about everything.
00:11:55.759 --> 00:11:58.080
Maybe sometimes a little too much.
00:11:58.240 --> 00:12:05.039
Yeah, but we're the type of generation that doesn't hold anything back and can be used for negative and positive.
00:12:05.519 --> 00:12:09.279
Well, and I was talking to somebody today about it, actually.
00:12:09.440 --> 00:12:11.120
We were what were we talking about?
00:12:11.200 --> 00:12:12.000
Oh, we I don't know.
00:12:12.080 --> 00:12:31.360
We were um we were talking about some individuals, and I won't go into specifics and nobody here, but we were talking about how, you know, again, our generation was, you know, got up the next there's tomorrow, you know, tomorrow get back up, get you know, we don't have time to stress, we don't have time to have anxiety, we don't have time to be depressed, right?
00:12:31.519 --> 00:12:48.799
We do we just and if you go back and look in the 90s when we were going through high school and and now look 2026 and look in high school, we didn't have uh maybe we did, but we didn't see stress, we didn't see depression, we didn't see anxiety.
00:12:49.759 --> 00:12:54.879
We did see we did see kind of bullying, but the difference was the bully would get punched in the face.
00:12:55.120 --> 00:12:55.679
Right.
00:12:56.080 --> 00:12:57.200
That was your that was your option.
00:12:57.360 --> 00:12:57.919
You don't get that anymore.
00:12:58.080 --> 00:12:58.960
You don't get that no more.
00:12:59.120 --> 00:13:01.440
Like, I think I don't remember what I seen her the other day.
00:13:01.519 --> 00:13:09.039
I think everybody should get, and I don't remember I'm paraphrasing, but like one Sue, like getting Sue free punch a week.
00:13:09.200 --> 00:13:14.879
Like I can go punch somebody in the face that needs it and not get in trouble for it one time a week.
00:13:15.120 --> 00:13:19.679
I think we missed that, and I think that's the difference in generations, like sure, yeah.
00:13:20.240 --> 00:13:26.639
So it's kind of hard because now it's I don't want to say it's like it's cool to be strange.
00:13:26.960 --> 00:13:35.360
I think it is, I think Carcy talked about this the last time she was on, but it's not it's becoming normal to talk about it, right?
00:13:35.600 --> 00:13:44.240
Which can be an amazing thing for the people that need it, for the people that need it and are in a state where they're like, I don't know where to go, I don't know what to do.
00:13:44.320 --> 00:13:51.360
They're not gonna be as closed off and not willing to talk to people as you know it could have been in the past, yeah.
00:13:51.519 --> 00:13:57.600
But kind of circling back, it can also be use and abuse to have people look at you a certain way to gain that.
00:13:58.159 --> 00:13:59.279
Just don't understand how we got here.
00:13:59.759 --> 00:14:01.360
I think that's what we were trying to say.
00:14:01.679 --> 00:14:11.440
Yeah, because that's what we're trying to say, because you don't want to say not to say anything because I mean, you know, kids and and suicide is up crazy.
00:14:11.679 --> 00:14:13.039
So you can't crazy high.
00:14:13.200 --> 00:14:16.399
So you can't say, well, don't talk about it, because then what of that one?
00:14:16.720 --> 00:14:20.399
But I just don't in our generation back, I don't I don't remember this.
00:14:20.639 --> 00:14:33.200
I think it was more of the fact also that people weren't comfortable with talking about it and it was masked a lot where people didn't talk about it and tried their best to not let people know about it because of that fear of judgment.
00:14:33.519 --> 00:14:40.480
It's been 90s and in in the early 2000s, I don't ever remember knowing anybody or anybody going through it like that.
00:14:40.720 --> 00:14:42.960
And I trust me, I could have been one of them and went through it.
00:14:43.039 --> 00:14:51.759
I lived by myself when I was 18, you know, not by myself, but a girlfriend and was poor and electricity shut off and all the things.
00:14:51.840 --> 00:14:57.360
I had every right to be, but I never I don't ever remember being well, even you said it, suicidal.
00:14:57.440 --> 00:14:58.639
Now, have I thought about it?
00:14:58.720 --> 00:15:00.320
Yes, but it wasn't during that period.
00:15:00.399 --> 00:15:04.399
So I'm just trying to figure, you know, what happened.
00:15:05.200 --> 00:15:18.080
Why is it why is and that's why I'm having you on here is kind of talk about you finally got to a point after you're like I got all my crap together to my crap's falling apart and I need help.
00:15:18.399 --> 00:15:18.960
Yeah.
00:15:19.279 --> 00:15:23.600
And I think some of that, you know, realizing that I I was at that point.
00:15:23.679 --> 00:15:32.799
So I did have a friend tell me, and this is a friend that I lost, but that she's like, you know, you need help, you're very angry, and you're very, you're clearly very hurt.
00:15:32.960 --> 00:15:41.360
And I think it was a compilation of a lifetime of things because you know, we I saw a lot of domestic violence growing up.
00:15:41.519 --> 00:15:56.720
I entered a 20-year relationship that was not healthy with a man that I thought I was madly in love with that whole 20 years, but throughout our childhood, my childhood, and all we didn't, we never spoke of anything, any of that, the things that went on.
00:15:56.879 --> 00:16:00.240
And and again, when I was in Colorado, I finally said some of those things.
00:16:00.320 --> 00:16:02.879
I mean, things you wouldn't say to anyone.
00:16:03.120 --> 00:16:04.799
We didn't have an outlet for that.
00:16:04.960 --> 00:16:05.200
Right.
00:16:05.519 --> 00:16:14.080
So I think it took me, you know, 48 years to be like, I have to get this stuff out because it's it's destroying me.
00:16:14.159 --> 00:16:14.320
Yeah.
00:16:14.639 --> 00:16:16.000
And I want to live for God.
00:16:16.240 --> 00:16:17.679
I want to be healthy for God.
00:16:17.840 --> 00:16:22.240
I want to be the best version of Enola that I can be for God.
00:16:22.879 --> 00:16:29.600
And I think a lot of times people, you know, it's hard to get to the other side of that.
00:16:29.759 --> 00:16:38.240
But again, I can't say enough how incredible it is when you do, because then you do have a totally different race on life.
00:16:38.480 --> 00:16:44.080
I expected other people, friends, relationships, I wanted them to fix me.
00:16:44.320 --> 00:16:45.679
How come you can't fix me?
00:16:46.159 --> 00:16:46.399
Right.
00:16:46.639 --> 00:16:47.279
Nobody can.
00:16:47.360 --> 00:16:47.759
That's right.
00:16:47.919 --> 00:16:50.480
Nobody can accept for Jesus Christ.
00:16:51.039 --> 00:16:55.360
And when you come to that and truly understand it, oh my gosh.
00:16:56.159 --> 00:16:59.519
It took me 48 years to be the happiest that I've ever been.
00:16:59.840 --> 00:17:01.519
The happiest that I've ever been.
00:17:01.600 --> 00:17:16.400
And I've had eating disorders and I've smoked cigarettes and I smoked marijuana in my 20s, and you know, and clearing through all the muck and coming to Jesus and figuring out that I don't need anyone to validate me but him.
00:17:16.559 --> 00:17:18.079
Yeah, anyone.
00:17:18.319 --> 00:17:22.160
And Bobby mentioned earlier that his wife and I have been friends for a long time.
00:17:22.319 --> 00:17:41.680
And I think going back to the importance of those relationships, those lifelong relationships and people who are, you know, have the same grounding as you and Christianity and family and Moberly and the things that mean the most to us, you know, it's helped me tremendously.
00:17:42.160 --> 00:17:46.720
It makes a difference of the people that you surround yourself with.
00:17:46.960 --> 00:17:53.680
And when you become a believer or Christian or you know, whatever you want to call yourself, you're gonna lose a couple friends.
00:17:54.079 --> 00:17:54.640
Yeah, sure.
00:17:54.880 --> 00:17:55.359
You're welcome.
00:17:55.599 --> 00:18:14.720
And to me, it's I I haven't, it's funny, it's not funny, but how the circle of it works because let's so we had friends that we used to run around with and have a good time and party and do all the wild things that literally you can not that, just you know, we we not catch her, we catch her, yeah.
00:18:15.039 --> 00:18:19.839
We catch the not that far, but I mean we would just party all night, sure, right?
00:18:19.920 --> 00:18:23.920
And then hit taco bell or you know, and drinking and driving and being all silly.
00:18:24.640 --> 00:18:32.640
And you know, when we decided to make some changes, which I'm still searching for Jesus Christ, I'm still, I still am.
00:18:32.720 --> 00:18:37.039
Like, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that I'm where you're at, or I'm not gonna tell you I'm where you're at.
00:18:37.279 --> 00:18:46.240
I'm still searching, which sounds weird, but all those friends like went from not no friend to now we're acquaintances.
00:18:46.400 --> 00:18:48.720
Absolutely we talk, you know where I'm at, I know where you're at.
00:18:49.359 --> 00:18:50.240
And that's okay.
00:18:50.400 --> 00:18:52.240
Absolutely, you know, and that's okay.
00:18:52.319 --> 00:18:54.240
And I was never mad at them, I never was.
00:18:54.720 --> 00:19:08.319
You know, and someone probably you know, give you a you know, funny face behind your back or something because people think as Christians, and I've told I've said this before on the podcast, it's hard to be a Christian because everybody expects you to be perfect and everybody's watching you, and everybody thinks that you've got it all together.
00:19:08.559 --> 00:19:09.279
Far from it.
00:19:09.519 --> 00:19:15.440
I think it's harder to be a Christian than it is to not, because if I wasn't a Christian, I don't have anything to worry about.
00:19:15.519 --> 00:19:16.400
I don't have anybody to please.
00:19:16.480 --> 00:19:17.759
I don't have to care for you.
00:19:18.000 --> 00:19:20.000
You do whatever you want for whatever reason you want.
00:19:20.240 --> 00:19:20.559
Yeah.
00:19:20.720 --> 00:19:27.839
Yeah, I'm like golfing and dropping a you know, an F-bomb, let's say, and I'm like, oh, is that really necessary?
00:19:27.920 --> 00:19:34.160
You know, golf is I might have to really think about golf because I'm not professional and I do cuss too much on the golf course.
00:19:34.319 --> 00:19:35.920
I might have to think about this one.
00:19:36.640 --> 00:19:39.279
I'm not the I'm not the drinking type on the golf course.
00:19:39.359 --> 00:19:43.279
Like I don't, I literally cannot play golf when I'm drinking.
00:19:43.359 --> 00:19:44.000
I that's it.
00:19:44.079 --> 00:19:46.720
So I don't tournaments, none of that, I don't I don't do it.
00:19:46.960 --> 00:19:48.799
Um so I don't I don't have that problem.
00:19:48.880 --> 00:19:51.440
I have a problem with swearing on the golf course.
00:19:51.759 --> 00:19:55.119
And I know there's some people out there, you know, you'd be swearing on the golf course.
00:19:55.759 --> 00:19:56.160
Golf?
00:19:57.440 --> 00:20:01.279
It can sometimes bring out the worst in yeah.
00:20:01.680 --> 00:20:17.920
I think to kind of um feed off of what you're saying, I was thinking about this past week that since I have been baptized and dedicated my life to Christ, I've had more challenges than I ever had before.
00:20:18.400 --> 00:20:18.880
Yes.
00:20:19.200 --> 00:20:22.160
And facing them, how do I deal with that?
00:20:22.319 --> 00:20:29.519
I deal with it much, I know as a Christian I need to deal with it much differently than I have in the past.
00:20:29.759 --> 00:20:33.599
I'm very if I have a problem, I'm gonna come straight to you about it.
00:20:33.680 --> 00:20:33.839
Yeah.
00:20:34.400 --> 00:20:41.599
And being a Christian, a lot of times we have to go back to, you know, revenge is mine, says the Lord.
00:20:41.759 --> 00:20:43.200
And that can be really hard.
00:20:43.519 --> 00:20:48.319
It is and just facing those things like this person isn't who I thought they were.
00:20:48.480 --> 00:20:52.880
You know, you were talking about friends, and I faced that.
00:20:53.039 --> 00:21:02.799
And that, you know, there can be a lot of heartache along with the wonderfulness of of Christ and of you know, finding him and finding who you are in him.
00:21:02.960 --> 00:21:08.319
There can also be a lot of heartbreak in it, but the Bible tells us that you know that's gonna happen too.
00:21:08.799 --> 00:21:09.200
Oh, yeah.
00:21:09.359 --> 00:21:13.039
I mean, there's a there's a ton of challenges, and then we just have to to face it.
00:21:13.279 --> 00:21:19.440
You keep making me think about should I have said the free punch a week in the people, but then I start talking about Dave and Goliath.
00:21:19.599 --> 00:21:23.119
I'm like, no, hey, I was a bully, got hit in the head with a stone.
00:21:23.279 --> 00:21:24.000
I'll take it.
00:21:24.079 --> 00:21:26.480
You want a stone or do you want me to right?
00:21:26.720 --> 00:21:29.440
No, I'm just yeah, no, I I agree with you there.
00:21:29.519 --> 00:21:32.400
It's it's it you still have your challenges.
00:21:33.119 --> 00:21:35.519
I've been challenged all morning today.
00:21:35.839 --> 00:21:38.480
And I'm like, did I I didn't play golf yesterday?
00:21:38.799 --> 00:21:40.000
Maybe I did swear too much.
00:21:40.559 --> 00:21:45.839
Maybe he's you know what I mean, but I still just try to put that foot forward and say, There's something in it.
00:21:46.319 --> 00:21:47.759
That's how I look at everything.
00:21:47.920 --> 00:21:48.960
There's something in it.
00:21:49.039 --> 00:21:51.279
If it's bad, there's something in it.
00:21:51.440 --> 00:21:53.039
I'm not saying that something good.
00:21:53.119 --> 00:21:59.759
I'm not gonna say, you know, I hurt my back and lost two listings today, and that tomorrow my back is gonna feel great and I'm gonna gain.
00:22:00.240 --> 00:22:00.799
Three.
00:22:01.039 --> 00:22:02.240
It's not how it works.
00:22:02.480 --> 00:22:02.799
Sure.
00:22:02.960 --> 00:22:09.599
You know, I talked about this morning on you know Testimony Tuesday that that everything has a meaning.
00:22:10.400 --> 00:22:10.640
Yeah.
00:22:10.880 --> 00:22:11.920
Everything has a meaning.
00:22:12.000 --> 00:22:23.200
Like the difference that I have found in like the two listings, and I'm just using this as an example that I lost this morning, it wasn't because of something that we did as realtors or marketing or anything.
00:22:23.279 --> 00:22:24.480
It was personal issues.
00:22:24.559 --> 00:22:29.839
It was a you know a financial issue and a relationship issue.
00:22:30.799 --> 00:22:35.920
And it worked better to not sell the house, whatever the situation was.
00:22:36.160 --> 00:22:39.440
And you know, I'm riding over to Ledonia looking at another house.
00:22:39.519 --> 00:22:40.480
I'm like complaining about that.
00:22:40.559 --> 00:22:42.720
I'm gonna list another one in a Ledonia, whatever.
00:22:42.960 --> 00:22:48.640
Um and and talking to Scott about it too, and we're both on the same page with that.
00:22:48.880 --> 00:22:51.200
That you know, there was something behind that.
00:22:51.279 --> 00:23:09.200
I didn't talk to him like that, but I knew there was something behind it, and we talked about both of those situations, like, yeah, you know, I mean it's what we do, and it kind of stinks that we lose those, but at the same time, they needed to do what they're doing, and hopefully, when they do what they do, their relationships mended, and you know, everything works better.
00:23:09.359 --> 00:23:11.119
So there's something in all of it.
00:23:12.000 --> 00:23:12.559
Every challenge.
00:23:12.960 --> 00:23:13.680
Absolutely.
00:23:13.920 --> 00:23:22.079
I read something the other day and I found it super profound because a lot of our lives are spent in relationships, right?
00:23:22.160 --> 00:23:31.759
And you know, wanting to be in good relationships, and it said a life is a lot easier when you realize that people are at war with themselves, not with you.
00:23:32.160 --> 00:23:32.720
That's good.
00:23:33.039 --> 00:23:33.279
Yeah.
00:23:33.920 --> 00:23:34.799
I think that's very true.
00:23:35.119 --> 00:23:35.599
And they are.
00:23:35.839 --> 00:23:36.160
They are.
00:23:36.319 --> 00:23:36.640
We all are.
00:23:37.119 --> 00:23:38.240
Yeah, I mean, we all are.
00:23:38.480 --> 00:23:41.279
We go, okay, yeah, that is true.
00:23:41.519 --> 00:23:43.279
Every day, it's something.
00:23:44.000 --> 00:23:47.440
So how long have you been back from their range?
00:23:48.079 --> 00:23:49.359
Um, I went in June.
00:23:49.519 --> 00:23:49.839
Okay.
00:23:50.079 --> 00:23:53.279
So three months, and it seems like six years.
00:23:53.440 --> 00:23:53.680
Okay.
00:23:53.920 --> 00:23:56.400
Like my life is just so different and so much better.
00:23:56.640 --> 00:23:57.200
That's so good.
00:23:57.519 --> 00:24:01.039
What do you so when I like go to conferences and stuff like that?
00:24:01.119 --> 00:24:05.680
I'm not using those in ex as what you're doing, but what I like to do is I like to pull nuggets from things.
00:24:05.759 --> 00:24:07.119
I'm not a big note taker.
00:24:07.519 --> 00:24:13.359
And I think I talked to Pastor Cole on his podcast about you know pulling a couple little things.
00:24:13.519 --> 00:24:26.160
Yeah, take not taking notes for, you know, when Pastor Vic's talking or so it comes back to what were a couple nuggets that you took from that experience that you think would help or helped you?
00:24:26.480 --> 00:24:28.480
That's a great, a great question.
00:24:28.640 --> 00:24:34.000
Um, one of them was was that the counselor, you know, told me, always make sure you're looking up.
00:24:34.160 --> 00:24:35.440
You're looking up to him.
00:24:35.759 --> 00:24:38.880
And in in the Bible it talks about when you look backwards.
00:24:39.200 --> 00:24:45.279
I don't remember the exact you know, that it's in, but some the the woman turned to dust when she looked backwards.
00:24:45.519 --> 00:24:46.880
Yeah, you told her not to, right.
00:24:47.279 --> 00:24:48.960
And that was, I think about that now.
00:24:49.039 --> 00:24:53.119
There's no point in looking back and to make sure that I'm always looking up at him.
00:24:53.920 --> 00:24:55.440
That was that was a huge one.
00:24:55.599 --> 00:24:59.759
And just remembering, um, she spoke a lot about light planes.
00:24:59.920 --> 00:25:01.680
What are the light planes in your life?
00:25:02.079 --> 00:25:20.400
You know, for me it would be my family and having time in my life to enjoy the things of my life because I had stopped enjoying things and spending time with God and truly falling in love with God and having a relationship with Him.
00:25:20.799 --> 00:25:40.319
Those are probably the biggest noise and just getting up every morning like this is a beautiful day, and thank you to God that I am here to see this, and and trying to see that in other people and reaching out to help, you know, anybody who needs help because it's a very hard thing to do, to ask for help.
00:25:40.480 --> 00:25:41.680
It is so hard.
00:25:41.839 --> 00:25:43.039
I it is, you know.
00:25:43.440 --> 00:25:44.000
Try being a man.
00:25:44.079 --> 00:25:48.240
I mean, we just I can't even I can't even imagine.
00:25:48.480 --> 00:25:51.759
Yeah, and I'm not, I'm not, it's not a you know, a sympathy thing either, but it is.
00:25:52.240 --> 00:25:53.039
No, it's a statistic.
00:25:53.279 --> 00:25:55.599
It is like I'm like we just it's a statistic.
00:25:55.759 --> 00:26:01.599
We just every day we just whatever it is, you know, put it on the back, and and but I have crashed.
00:26:02.000 --> 00:26:03.839
And so I've got to be really careful about that.
00:26:03.920 --> 00:26:05.759
I've crashed multiple times, yeah.
00:26:05.920 --> 00:26:10.079
Um and I gotta be really careful that, and that's why my wife's always reminded me, why are you doing this?
00:26:10.240 --> 00:26:11.519
Or why are you starting this?
00:26:11.599 --> 00:26:12.319
Or, you know.
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:15.440
So, can I ask you, how do you get back when you crash?
00:26:15.599 --> 00:26:16.640
How do you get back to Christ?
00:26:16.720 --> 00:26:18.400
How do you get yourself set back?
00:26:18.559 --> 00:26:25.039
Man, the most recent one was so I'll talk about medication because I don't like it.
00:26:25.200 --> 00:26:30.960
It is a necessary evil, in my opinion, because people do have chemical imbalances and they help, or whatever it is, right?
00:26:31.039 --> 00:26:36.720
Whatever, whatever the reason for medication, I'm just I'll just stay on the stress, anxiety side of medication.
00:26:36.880 --> 00:26:39.279
And so, man, I got off of it one time.
00:26:39.519 --> 00:26:43.440
I was off all everything because I take a medication, which I'm doing again.
00:26:43.519 --> 00:26:49.680
I'm down to like taking one a week, and I was taking one every day, and then I take one at night, and I was off all of it.
00:26:49.839 --> 00:27:05.839
And I went through, and I'll just tell you the story, it was kind of silly, but we were down at the lake house, already sounds rough, um, and uh Colin or Clea one caught a catfish, and I had gloves on, and I was gonna clean the catfish.
00:27:06.079 --> 00:27:19.279
Well, the the catfish's barb went through my hand, my thumb completely, and their barbs are made to go in, they're not made to come out because they got little barbed things that like go all the way down it.
00:27:20.000 --> 00:27:31.119
So I'm like, catfish, and his catfish is still alive, and so he's you know, and he's hit something in my hand because I can feel like the and I'm like, and I can't get this thing out no matter what I do.
00:27:31.279 --> 00:27:35.039
And like Khalia's over and she's got a fish, and they're trying to help her reel this fish in.
00:27:35.119 --> 00:27:36.079
And I got this barbed stuff.
00:27:36.160 --> 00:27:37.839
I mean, it's just chaos.
00:27:38.079 --> 00:27:39.200
It's all on video, too.
00:27:39.279 --> 00:27:42.319
Uh Mindy didn't get necessarily me, she kind of got me over the background.
00:27:42.480 --> 00:27:51.279
I'm like, so I ended up uh to make the long story short, I had a pair of skinners that I was skinning, you know, you skin the catfish with.
00:27:51.359 --> 00:27:58.319
I just snipped the barb off here, and then I just had to grab the barb with a pair of pliers and just rip it out.
00:27:58.559 --> 00:28:02.880
Because I didn't know, like, I didn't know it, I didn't know what to do.
00:28:03.039 --> 00:28:07.039
Like, I don't, I'm not like, hey, chat, GPT, you know, we don't even think I'm big.
00:28:07.920 --> 00:28:09.200
I think it would have been Google.
00:28:09.440 --> 00:28:10.640
Everybody's doing so, yeah.
00:28:10.720 --> 00:28:20.720
I'm just looking, I'm like, ah, so I snip it off, and I remember, and I'm I'm walking, I'm pacing up and down the dock, and I'm like, and I got it out, and it was such a relief.
00:28:21.119 --> 00:28:23.359
Like, okay, all right, I made it.
00:28:23.519 --> 00:28:27.519
Later on that night, and the next day, I started getting really like sick to my stomach.
00:28:27.839 --> 00:28:34.160
And that next week, we were leaving for a trip, big trip that I'd got from Indy for our 20-year anniversary.
00:28:34.400 --> 00:28:40.160
Something happened to me that you could call it crash, like I couldn't even get out of bed.
00:28:40.240 --> 00:28:48.480
Like depressed, stressed, anxiety, just gut, just tight eat, couldn't eat, couldn't read, couldn't think, couldn't do anything.
00:28:48.640 --> 00:28:50.240
And I was like, I finally broke down.
00:28:50.319 --> 00:28:52.160
I told her, I said, I can't go on this trip.
00:28:53.039 --> 00:28:54.480
She's like, What do you mean you can't go on this trip?
00:28:54.559 --> 00:28:55.279
I'm like, I can't.
00:28:55.440 --> 00:28:58.960
Like my I'm done, my anxiety is stressed, I can't, I cannot do it.
00:28:59.119 --> 00:29:00.640
And it was it was pretty crazy.
00:29:00.799 --> 00:29:05.839
She's like, I she's like, honey, I love you, but you've had this thing planned for quite a while, and uh, I don't care.
00:29:06.000 --> 00:29:10.319
You need to call Pastor Vic, you need to read your Bible, you need to pray, you need people pray over you.
00:29:10.720 --> 00:29:14.160
I had Pastor Vic call, I talked to him, I prayed, I read my Bible.
00:29:14.319 --> 00:29:14.960
Nothing.
00:29:15.200 --> 00:29:15.759
Nothing.
00:29:15.920 --> 00:29:22.799
It got to the point where she doesn't listen to the podcast, so she won't hear this, but uh she listens, she might listen to yours actually.
00:29:22.960 --> 00:29:24.640
Um it's fine, it's it's funny.
00:29:24.720 --> 00:29:26.240
I don't listen to my own podcast either.
00:29:26.319 --> 00:29:31.519
But it got to a point where I was like begging Pastor Vic to tell me not to go.
00:29:31.680 --> 00:29:32.640
That's basically what I want.
00:29:32.880 --> 00:29:38.000
Because if I knew I'd get him locked in, then I might I might save my marriage.
00:29:38.160 --> 00:29:38.400
Sure.
00:29:38.640 --> 00:29:43.119
Because I she was like, it was crazy, but she was right.
00:29:43.440 --> 00:29:46.000
She was right that this needed to happen.
00:29:46.079 --> 00:29:47.200
I need to go on this trip.
00:29:47.359 --> 00:29:51.599
And so I don't know, after all these things finally did what happened.
00:29:51.759 --> 00:30:05.200
Um, I think the the bar, why I bring that up, I think that triggered something that should have, you know, I needed to go back on the medication, like the chemical imbalance or whatever it was, kicked back in, like whatever it was happened, it happened.
00:30:05.359 --> 00:30:08.880
So I remember just going outside and I was in tears.
00:30:08.960 --> 00:30:14.240
I was crying, and I was just looking up and I'm like, God, I don't know, I don't know what to do.
00:30:14.400 --> 00:30:15.599
You need to do something.
00:30:15.839 --> 00:30:17.200
Basically, you need to do something.
00:30:17.279 --> 00:30:18.480
I cannot do this on my own.
00:30:18.559 --> 00:30:28.319
I can't, and I'm paraphrasing, but I remember I was outside walking, pacing, looking up, and I'm just, and then we had a little conversation, and he just he kind of told me, he's like, You're going.
00:30:28.400 --> 00:30:29.359
So I go back inside.
00:30:29.519 --> 00:30:29.839
Okay.
00:30:30.079 --> 00:30:33.359
I'm like, I'm and I'm like gut, I'm like, there I throw up.
00:30:33.839 --> 00:30:35.519
All right, babe, we're going.
00:30:37.119 --> 00:30:37.519
What'd you say?
00:30:37.680 --> 00:30:38.559
I said we're going.
00:30:41.519 --> 00:30:42.960
Yeah, she's like, okay.
00:30:43.119 --> 00:30:49.200
And I'm like, all right, I'm already panicking after I said that because I was hoping she'd say no, maybe, or something.
00:30:49.440 --> 00:30:50.960
Pastor Vick will call and say no or something.
00:30:51.039 --> 00:30:51.200
I don't know.
00:30:51.519 --> 00:30:52.640
Override God or something.
00:30:53.759 --> 00:30:54.960
Yeah, that's likely.
00:30:56.640 --> 00:30:59.759
Yeah, so I go get on some medication.
00:30:59.839 --> 00:31:03.839
So what I've decided, I'm like, all right, I need to go back and get the medication I was taking during the day and night.
00:31:03.920 --> 00:31:04.720
I'm like doubling up.
00:31:04.880 --> 00:31:08.000
We're gonna I go to the doctor, and my doctor's like, you know what?
00:31:08.079 --> 00:31:14.960
I see what you were on, but they have some new stuff out, and it's kind of a different family, but it kind of does the same thing, the the medication.
00:31:15.039 --> 00:31:15.920
I'm like, whatever.
00:31:16.079 --> 00:31:16.880
They give me that.
00:31:17.039 --> 00:31:18.240
I take one day of it.
00:31:18.480 --> 00:31:20.079
Next day, twice as bad.
00:31:20.240 --> 00:31:20.559
Uh-oh.
00:31:20.799 --> 00:31:21.519
Twice as bad.
00:31:21.680 --> 00:31:23.599
I am like, what is going on?
00:31:23.839 --> 00:31:24.799
What did you give me?
00:31:25.119 --> 00:31:25.440
Yeah.
00:31:26.319 --> 00:31:30.240
So I call them back and I get back on the two that I was.
00:31:30.319 --> 00:31:33.279
I'm like, listen, doctor, you're the doctor, right?
00:31:33.440 --> 00:31:36.559
I need you to write this down because this is where I want this, I want this.
00:31:36.720 --> 00:31:39.839
And then when I was in there talking to her, I went and seen her again.
00:31:40.000 --> 00:31:41.680
She's like, I'm also gonna give you this.
00:31:41.839 --> 00:31:46.319
And she's like, you can take five of them if you need to get because I told her, I said, I gotta get on a plane here in a couple days.
00:31:46.400 --> 00:31:47.759
I gotta get I ain't got no choice.
00:31:48.720 --> 00:31:52.319
One of these will help, but you can take five if you want.
00:31:52.480 --> 00:31:54.480
And I'm like, all right.
00:31:55.039 --> 00:31:59.680
So got on those, like next day I felt a little better, and next day, and I think we left after that.
00:31:59.839 --> 00:32:03.599
I'm at the airport, and just boom, something hit me again.
00:32:03.839 --> 00:32:09.680
And I get up, I start pacing up and down the hall, and I look, and the wife's looking at me, I'm like pacing back and forth.
00:32:09.839 --> 00:32:20.640
I started praying again, and then I don't know if he told me, I won't say this, but I I went to my backpack and I got one of them out and I went, popped it, got on the plane, one of the best trips ever.
00:32:21.279 --> 00:32:28.400
But it goes back to talking to him, and I had to go to the doctor, and they did prescribe me the wrong thing.
00:32:28.480 --> 00:32:29.279
That was the devil.
00:32:29.440 --> 00:32:38.880
He was laughing, thought it would be funny, and you know, got because he never takes a day off, and then got on the right thing and got on the right thing.
00:32:39.119 --> 00:32:48.400
Here I am weaning myself off this stuff again, but that's what I say when you know we talked originally at the beginning about the medications and stuff like that.
00:32:48.559 --> 00:32:51.599
Like, yes, I think that's part of his plan.
00:32:52.160 --> 00:32:55.920
And then I think there's because you asked me, you know, what do you do when you crash?
00:32:56.000 --> 00:32:57.359
That that would have been one of the crashes.
00:32:57.440 --> 00:33:12.720
And so I really I don't know how you keep yourself out of those big stressful moments because I can handle a lot, but like the barb catfish barb and the I just like was thinking to myself, what in the heck am I gonna do?
00:33:12.960 --> 00:33:17.759
Like, and it might have been three minutes, but I was like, snap, rip, and ripped, you know what I mean?
00:33:17.839 --> 00:33:21.920
And it was it was just enough to set off that imbalance, is the only thing I can think of.
00:33:22.160 --> 00:33:23.440
And that's sometimes that's all it takes.
00:33:23.599 --> 00:33:28.400
Yeah, other than that, knock on wood, thank you, Jesus, never helping that happens again, please, Jesus, amen.
00:33:28.799 --> 00:33:33.920
That that is the last time that and it's crazy because I love flying on airplanes.
00:33:34.000 --> 00:33:35.359
Yeah, I love flying.
00:33:35.440 --> 00:33:37.200
It's a real everybody's like, what do you mean?
00:33:37.279 --> 00:33:41.519
I'm like, yes, I have two and two and a half hours worth of no text messages, no emails.
00:33:41.680 --> 00:33:44.880
I get to read whatever book I want, I get to watch a movie if I want to.
00:33:45.119 --> 00:33:49.599
Somebody brings me some snacks, they bring me something to drink, I can go to the bathroom when I want to.
00:33:49.759 --> 00:33:51.119
I don't know anybody around me.
00:33:51.200 --> 00:33:54.480
I got AirPods in, I can't hear anybody, don't have to talk to anybody.
00:33:54.720 --> 00:33:55.759
Thank you, Jesus.
00:33:55.920 --> 00:33:56.960
This is my time.
00:33:57.119 --> 00:34:01.039
Because when I'm down here, I've already got five text messages in the last 45 minutes.
00:34:01.680 --> 00:34:02.720
My watch has been buzzing.
00:34:02.799 --> 00:34:04.000
I don't know why I put it on today.
00:34:04.079 --> 00:34:07.119
But yeah, that's why I love flying because I'm like, people just leave me alone.
00:34:07.279 --> 00:34:09.760
So yeah, that was uh the last crash.
00:34:09.920 --> 00:34:14.320
So between God and medication, prayer, got on the plane, went to Italy.
00:34:14.559 --> 00:34:16.800
It was Italy.
00:34:17.119 --> 00:34:31.440
Oh shoot, I've done set her off, and then I'm gonna have to get her to I was it was kind of bad because I've been talking about my stressful life, and I'm like at my lake house, I hit my you know with a barb and then I'm not wanting to go to Italy.
00:34:31.519 --> 00:34:32.239
Like, really?
00:34:32.880 --> 00:34:35.599
Most people look on that on the outside and go, really?
00:34:36.880 --> 00:34:38.159
You look like the hundreds of things.
00:34:38.480 --> 00:34:48.559
That doesn't that it never material materialistic things will never fix something that is ingrained in your brain.
00:34:48.719 --> 00:34:49.599
It just won't.
00:34:49.840 --> 00:35:00.320
You can buy as much as you want, but if you don't have what you need, and most of the time that is Jesus and that is his word, and that is prayer and time with him, then it will not fill that space.
00:35:00.559 --> 00:35:00.880
I agree.
00:35:01.119 --> 00:35:01.519
It just won't.
00:35:01.760 --> 00:35:03.039
It's a void you will never fill.
00:35:03.199 --> 00:35:04.000
It's not enough money.
00:35:04.239 --> 00:35:04.800
It does not.
00:35:04.960 --> 00:35:07.039
There's not not even not even enough people.
00:35:07.280 --> 00:35:08.239
No, for sure.
00:35:08.320 --> 00:35:09.280
No, there's not enough.
00:35:09.440 --> 00:35:10.000
They help.
00:35:10.239 --> 00:35:11.280
Yeah, oh of course.
00:35:11.440 --> 00:35:12.320
And money helps.
00:35:12.480 --> 00:35:15.840
Yeah, of course, but it's not the fix-all solution.
00:35:16.000 --> 00:35:16.719
It's a band-aid.
00:35:17.039 --> 00:35:19.360
It's funny you say that now I kind of look at it from the outside in.
00:35:19.519 --> 00:35:26.079
I do I'm talking about I was at my lake house and I was going to Italy, but I was still crashing.
00:35:26.239 --> 00:35:30.320
And it still took God to pull me out of it when I should have just, I should I had a lake house.
00:35:30.400 --> 00:35:31.119
I'm going to Italy.
00:35:31.199 --> 00:35:32.159
I should be all right, right?
00:35:32.239 --> 00:35:32.480
Yeah.
00:35:32.880 --> 00:35:33.119
Right?
00:35:33.199 --> 00:35:34.880
What am I what are my real problems here?
00:35:35.119 --> 00:35:37.840
And people from the outside looking into that would say something like that.
00:35:38.079 --> 00:35:38.800
They would say that.
00:35:38.960 --> 00:35:48.800
But the thing is, is that they're never gonna understand until they get into that situation and they realize that it has nothing to do with the stuff that you surround yourself with at that time, materialistic wise.
00:35:49.039 --> 00:35:50.800
That feeling, I wouldn't, I wouldn't.
00:35:51.280 --> 00:35:54.400
I mean, I've got some enemies, but I don't think I'd want to wish that on me.
00:35:54.480 --> 00:35:57.920
It's just probably you probably know what I'm talking about.
00:35:58.079 --> 00:36:00.480
Like, you're like, what did I do?
00:36:01.039 --> 00:36:02.320
Yeah, what do I do?
00:36:02.559 --> 00:36:05.360
And how do I get get rid of this feeling?
00:36:05.679 --> 00:36:10.800
You said that earlier, you're like, now that I got rid of that, and you're on this side, you're like, ooh, thank you.
00:36:10.880 --> 00:36:12.639
Jeez, this is amazing.
00:36:13.119 --> 00:36:15.519
Yes, yeah, because I know what that feels like.
00:36:16.000 --> 00:36:18.000
Yeah, and like you said, you wouldn't wish that.
00:36:18.320 --> 00:36:18.800
No, I know.
00:36:19.119 --> 00:36:20.880
That's just no, it's just it's insane.
00:36:21.119 --> 00:36:23.360
Yeah, when you said that earlier, you're like, that feeling.
00:36:23.440 --> 00:36:24.719
I'm like, oh, I know that feeling.
00:36:25.199 --> 00:36:26.159
That's not a good feeling.
00:36:26.239 --> 00:36:30.639
You're like, this feel this feeling pretty this back hurting today, it's all right.
00:36:31.360 --> 00:36:32.079
I can survive.
00:36:32.239 --> 00:36:34.079
We can wait, we can we can we can fight this one.
00:36:34.159 --> 00:36:34.639
This one's good.
00:36:34.719 --> 00:36:37.360
I can I can go home put some ice pack on in 30, 45 minutes.
00:36:37.440 --> 00:36:38.559
I'm gonna be just fine.
00:36:38.800 --> 00:36:39.760
So yeah.
00:36:41.440 --> 00:36:41.599
No.
00:36:42.159 --> 00:36:43.440
Yeah, I can handle that.
00:36:43.599 --> 00:36:48.400
Like that weaker so of that just I don't even know what you call it.
00:36:48.639 --> 00:36:58.000
That mental fatigue, that mental mental, it's mental baggage is so much worse than any physical like damage that you could have.
00:36:58.239 --> 00:37:00.159
Mental is just ten times worse.
00:37:00.480 --> 00:37:00.960
It is.
00:37:01.280 --> 00:37:01.599
It is.
00:37:01.840 --> 00:37:04.639
Well, I've got other ones too, but we won't go into that.
00:37:04.719 --> 00:37:08.079
But I just thought I'd give you the most recent one since you were worried about it.
00:37:08.400 --> 00:37:18.960
I didn't bring this up when I spoke um in 21 Days of Prayer, but as I and most self-harming stuff starts in when people are teenagers.
00:37:19.039 --> 00:37:19.199
Yes.
00:37:19.760 --> 00:37:30.480
And I started self-harming when I was in probably my early twenties, and I didn't stop until I had a solid relationship with God this past year.
00:37:30.719 --> 00:37:31.519
And I'm 48.
00:37:31.679 --> 00:37:33.119
I just I just turned 48.
00:37:33.360 --> 00:37:41.679
So because physical pain is so much easier to to tolerate, and it can take your mind off of, you know, mental pain.
00:37:41.840 --> 00:37:55.360
And you go, you know, Bobby was talking about having things, and you know, I have a college degree and I worked very hard and I've stayed at the same jobs for a long time, and people expect you to be a certain way, right?
00:37:55.519 --> 00:38:08.239
They expect you not to have those problems, um, not to self-harm, not to crash, not to, you know, make wrong choices, not to say the wrong thing, not to get into bad situations.
00:38:08.880 --> 00:38:09.760
It doesn't matter.
00:38:10.000 --> 00:38:12.719
Economics hasn't as nothing to do with that.
00:38:13.199 --> 00:38:20.960
Well, from the outside looking in, they're gonna say stuff like that because they're like, oh, either we're providing you everything you need or you have everything you need.
00:38:21.039 --> 00:38:27.039
I don't know why you would ever even think about doing something like that, whenever it has again nothing to do with that.
00:38:27.280 --> 00:38:38.639
It has everything to do with where you are mentally and where you stand in your relationship with God, and that plays the biggest factor in every choice that you make whenever it comes to your own physical and mental well-being.
00:38:38.800 --> 00:38:39.360
Absolutely.
00:38:39.519 --> 00:38:45.760
I'd give every penny I have, yeah, you know, and to I mean, I just want God.
00:38:45.920 --> 00:38:46.400
That's all.
00:38:46.480 --> 00:38:47.679
Yeah, I don't, I don't want money.
00:38:48.000 --> 00:38:49.199
And then, sister, me too.
00:38:50.079 --> 00:38:50.800
I just want God.
00:38:51.360 --> 00:38:54.639
I think that's why I'm addicted to missions trips.
00:38:54.880 --> 00:38:56.159
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:38:56.400 --> 00:38:57.199
Like literally.
00:38:57.519 --> 00:38:58.400
Have you been, Gina?
00:38:58.639 --> 00:38:58.960
Have you been?
00:38:59.199 --> 00:38:59.679
I have not.
00:38:59.760 --> 00:39:00.239
I am not.
00:39:00.639 --> 00:39:05.679
I thought about going on one with you guys next month or not next month.
00:39:06.159 --> 00:39:06.960
Two months from now.
00:39:07.039 --> 00:39:07.599
Is it in November?
00:39:07.920 --> 00:39:08.800
Yeah, November Philip.
00:39:09.119 --> 00:39:18.639
Yeah, I was gonna go on one, but I'm literally leaving for like a week and a half, two days or three days after we're supposed to get back, and I'm like, I don't know like mentally if I can do that.
00:39:19.840 --> 00:39:23.199
But I am gonna go on one within this next year, year and a half.
00:39:23.599 --> 00:39:24.159
New boss.
00:39:24.400 --> 00:39:25.280
I can handle that pain.
00:39:25.599 --> 00:39:26.559
I can handle that.
00:39:27.199 --> 00:39:30.079
You go to a missions trip, those are those are your days, that's for sure.
00:39:30.239 --> 00:39:30.719
That's true.
00:39:30.880 --> 00:39:32.559
I'm I'm not that's what I tell everybody.
00:39:32.719 --> 00:39:36.320
I'm you people come to me with I'm I ain't getting in the middle of you and God.
00:39:36.400 --> 00:39:40.639
Like you just do what you do, if that's what it is, and that's what you're doing, that's what we're doing.
00:39:40.960 --> 00:39:43.679
Like, you know, I'm not getting in the middle of that one.
00:39:43.760 --> 00:39:49.199
So yeah, it's and I say that because it's like a refresher for me.
00:39:49.440 --> 00:39:55.920
It is like because I go over there and I still remember those people when we went to the Philippines apologizing.
00:39:56.079 --> 00:40:01.119
The Filipinos were apologizing to us that the typhoon happened when we were there.
00:40:01.360 --> 00:40:03.119
I I remember the guy's face.
00:40:03.280 --> 00:40:04.639
I didn't know what he said.
00:40:04.960 --> 00:40:06.000
Caleb had to tell me.
00:40:06.079 --> 00:40:09.280
He's like, yeah, he's he wanted to apologize for the typhoon.
00:40:09.440 --> 00:40:19.119
I'm looking at him and his house and his metal roof halfway blown off and house flooded, and he's sitting out in front of his house, just you know, apologizing to us.
00:40:19.199 --> 00:40:22.079
And I'm like, I'm gonna go home to my nice house.
00:40:22.239 --> 00:40:29.039
Like you, I'm standing in front of yours, is barely standing up to begin with, and a typhoon comes through and you're apologizing to me.
00:40:29.280 --> 00:40:31.599
No, I want to help you rebuild your house.
00:40:31.840 --> 00:40:32.880
That's what I want to do.
00:40:33.440 --> 00:40:46.480
Do you remember when we were in Romania and we were taking some of the kids home for some sort of break and we're like on a paved road, and all of a sudden we turn off onto this dirt road that it was like a time work.
00:40:46.719 --> 00:40:54.000
It was all of a sudden the houses were literal shacks, and it was very cold.
00:40:54.239 --> 00:40:55.920
It was so cold when we were there.
00:40:56.000 --> 00:40:57.039
It was February, wasn't it?
00:40:57.360 --> 00:40:57.519
Right.
00:40:57.760 --> 00:40:58.000
Yeah, yeah.
00:40:58.400 --> 00:41:00.719
And um March it was the way it was cold, yeah.
00:41:00.960 --> 00:41:12.320
Yeah, we dropped this one little girl off, and I remember Aline maybe was the one that said, um, you know, they don't have running water, they don't have heat.
00:41:12.719 --> 00:41:15.519
You could literally see straight through their house.
00:41:15.920 --> 00:41:17.679
Like just a whole different world.
00:41:17.760 --> 00:41:20.320
There were chickens and dogs and everything were running around.
00:41:20.880 --> 00:41:22.239
They were gypsies, I believe.
00:41:22.320 --> 00:41:27.199
Yeah, but uh the little girl that we dropped off, she actually I still have it, gave me a stuffed animal.
00:41:27.519 --> 00:41:33.280
And um I I just think I I often reflect back on that and what we take for granted.
00:41:33.599 --> 00:41:43.679
And they were hoping, I think, that we had something to give them, and I don't know if we did at that time or not, but just I mean, the bare minimum of essentials, yeah.
00:41:43.920 --> 00:41:46.400
And again, it was so cold.
00:41:46.719 --> 00:41:55.360
And like you said, you know, we come home to our big homes with heat and air and running water, running water things.
00:41:56.159 --> 00:42:04.960
And it going on a missions trip just it helps grind you and it helps you realize that we're blessed to be where we're at.
00:42:05.360 --> 00:42:06.159
Absolutely.
00:42:06.639 --> 00:42:07.360
It really does.
00:42:07.440 --> 00:42:08.320
Yeah, it really does.
00:42:08.400 --> 00:42:10.400
Yeah, I mean we get to go GS soon.
00:42:10.559 --> 00:42:12.239
Yeah, I I want to so soon.
00:42:12.400 --> 00:42:13.440
I want to so soon.
00:42:13.679 --> 00:42:18.079
I think they talked Romania, I don't know, I think somebody said June, I don't know why.
00:42:18.480 --> 00:42:19.519
Maybe not, I don't know.
00:42:20.159 --> 00:42:21.039
I don't need that one.
00:42:21.280 --> 00:42:25.119
I mean I would, but I I don't yeah, June, which would be later.
00:42:25.440 --> 00:42:30.880
I don't know if it was conflicting with somebody else's schedule or what, but yeah, Philippines in November.
00:42:32.000 --> 00:42:33.840
That's it's good.
00:42:34.000 --> 00:42:37.760
It's uh it is the good word is grounding because it is different.
00:42:38.400 --> 00:42:42.719
I mean we when we go over there we do I expected to starve.
00:42:44.079 --> 00:42:46.239
And uh I really did.
00:42:46.639 --> 00:42:51.840
And uh they tr they really put their stuff together.
00:42:51.920 --> 00:42:53.679
That's not like we're eating like steak, right?
00:42:53.840 --> 00:42:54.880
Or eating chicken.
00:42:54.960 --> 00:42:55.920
You don't eat steak over there.
00:42:56.000 --> 00:42:58.239
If you see the cows over there, you don't eat the you don't eat the beef.
00:42:58.320 --> 00:42:59.920
The beef's not edible over there.
00:43:00.159 --> 00:43:05.679
I mean, their delicacy is spam, if that tells you the food.
00:43:05.840 --> 00:43:06.000
Right.
00:43:06.159 --> 00:43:06.960
And we bought spam.
00:43:08.000 --> 00:43:10.000
Spam was man, they put some spam together.
00:43:10.400 --> 00:43:11.360
They can put some spam over there.
00:43:14.079 --> 00:43:17.599
We were at the grocery store and we were like, we're gonna get some spam.
00:43:17.679 --> 00:43:25.760
And they had some spam, but I mean, yeah, it is uh, and it's still, I was talking to Kaylee because she was talking thinking about going to the Philippines, and I like you they play with spiders.
00:43:25.840 --> 00:43:31.679
That's one of their toys, is they have a matchbox and they have spiders and they get their spiders out and let their spiders fight.
00:43:31.840 --> 00:43:32.880
And I hate spiders.
00:43:33.039 --> 00:43:35.119
They thought it was funny to chase me around with spiders.
00:43:35.360 --> 00:43:37.599
Caleb's daughters were chasing me around with spiders.
00:43:37.679 --> 00:43:40.079
They still laugh about that when they talk about oh my god, I like spiders.
00:43:40.159 --> 00:43:41.199
I mean we're talking a little bit.
00:43:41.599 --> 00:43:41.840
Oh my gosh.
00:43:42.000 --> 00:43:43.440
No, Alex is terrified of spiders.
00:43:43.519 --> 00:43:44.559
I want him to go now.
00:43:44.800 --> 00:43:45.840
I want him to go now.
00:43:46.079 --> 00:43:46.639
This is so funny.
00:43:47.039 --> 00:43:50.159
One of the things that they pay somebody to do it and be like, go do it, I'll give you a few.
00:43:50.320 --> 00:43:52.719
They don't have toy, you know, they don't they don't have toys.
00:43:53.280 --> 00:43:54.400
They don't have those things.
00:43:54.480 --> 00:43:55.760
It's it's uh yeah.
00:43:56.239 --> 00:43:59.199
Do you remember um when we ate with the children at the orphanage?
00:43:59.280 --> 00:43:59.840
Do you remember the food?
00:44:00.480 --> 00:44:01.760
I didn't know what the food was.
00:44:02.079 --> 00:44:02.880
There wasn't a lot of it.
00:44:03.280 --> 00:44:07.039
I've been to Romania twice, and I still can't tell you what the food is.
00:44:07.599 --> 00:44:13.920
It's usually pasta-ish with like a very watery something sauce.
00:44:14.239 --> 00:44:16.880
I mean it was a very small amount.
00:44:17.440 --> 00:44:22.559
The children brought them toys, but they didn't have no toys.
00:44:22.880 --> 00:44:23.360
No toys.
00:44:23.599 --> 00:44:24.159
No toys.
00:44:24.639 --> 00:44:26.159
They had uh maybe a TV.
00:44:27.119 --> 00:44:30.079
I think each of the boys had a TV and the girls did, maybe.
00:44:30.400 --> 00:44:32.559
Yeah, and they just they just run up and down the hall.
00:44:32.800 --> 00:44:43.199
That that was that's how they played, or they go outside and the last time we went, it was a little better weather, so they were able to go out and they played outside all day long.
00:44:43.840 --> 00:44:44.559
All day long.
00:44:44.719 --> 00:44:46.079
Like I took a nap.
00:44:46.639 --> 00:44:48.079
They were still outside playing.
00:44:48.400 --> 00:44:49.920
Kaylee was still outside playing.
00:44:50.079 --> 00:44:51.360
I was napping.
00:44:51.599 --> 00:44:52.480
And I didn't nap.
00:44:52.559 --> 00:44:54.000
I was like, you kids wear me out.
00:44:54.079 --> 00:44:59.599
But we there, we were like loading, you know, potatoes and it was like even just the potato.
00:44:59.760 --> 00:45:00.079
Yeah.
00:45:00.239 --> 00:45:04.480
Like we went, trying to remember where we picked potatoes up at.
00:45:04.719 --> 00:45:06.800
We picked up a big old truckload that's new to it.
00:45:06.880 --> 00:45:13.760
They went and picked a big old, but we distributed potatoes and rice to like eight or ten different places.
00:45:13.920 --> 00:45:17.920
And you, oh my gosh, you thought you were they were giving away gold bars.
00:45:18.079 --> 00:45:18.239
Sure.
00:45:18.639 --> 00:45:19.920
They were gold bars to them.
00:45:20.480 --> 00:45:22.960
We did, so we went very similar to what you were saying.
00:45:23.280 --> 00:45:23.760
So here we are.
00:45:23.840 --> 00:45:24.880
We're talking about depression now.
00:45:24.960 --> 00:45:25.920
We're on mission strips.
00:45:26.320 --> 00:45:28.480
We do this on depression.
00:45:29.599 --> 00:45:30.639
Well, that's that is true.
00:45:31.039 --> 00:45:31.920
We always do this.
00:45:32.159 --> 00:45:35.920
Yeah, we would we went to the village similar.
00:45:36.159 --> 00:45:37.280
It might have been the same one.
00:45:37.360 --> 00:45:41.679
Like it was like you said, like if you turned the corner and you're like, is this even edible?
00:45:42.239 --> 00:45:44.639
You know, this is this is this is crazy.
00:45:44.960 --> 00:45:52.800
But we had a flatbed truck full of boxes of rice and potatoes, bags of potatoes.
00:45:52.960 --> 00:45:54.800
Potatoes was the thing at this trip.
00:45:54.960 --> 00:45:55.519
We had potatoes.
00:45:55.599 --> 00:46:01.039
We were giving potatoes away, we were loaded potatoes, putting them in the basement, taking them right out of the basement, putting them on a truck, taking them here.
00:46:01.199 --> 00:46:04.880
We were meeting people in parking lots and malls giving potatoes away.
00:46:05.199 --> 00:46:06.320
Potatoes and rice.
00:46:06.559 --> 00:46:15.039
Like, but we we turned the corner and I remember I think me and Dylan were in the back back handing out the the boxes, boxes.
00:46:16.159 --> 00:46:16.559
Sorry.
00:46:16.800 --> 00:46:17.440
Just slamming.
00:46:17.840 --> 00:46:21.599
Sorry, sorry, Swiss um boxes of rice.
00:46:21.920 --> 00:46:26.559
And within, and we had some people on the ground too, and somebody driving the truck.
00:46:26.719 --> 00:46:29.760
Within five minutes, it was like they came out of the woodwork.
00:46:29.840 --> 00:46:31.360
And I know there's a video out there of it.
00:46:31.599 --> 00:46:32.719
It was Pastor Vicker.
00:46:32.880 --> 00:46:34.400
I think Pastor Vicker Brad.
00:46:35.519 --> 00:46:36.159
Yeah, Pastor Brad.
00:46:36.400 --> 00:46:38.480
Yeah, he I remember seeing it on his Facebook.
00:46:38.880 --> 00:46:40.639
Yeah, it just it was crazy.
00:46:40.719 --> 00:46:40.960
Yeah.
00:46:41.199 --> 00:46:45.920
I for a second I thought we were going to get mauled for potatoes.
00:46:46.159 --> 00:46:47.119
For potatoes and rice.
00:46:47.519 --> 00:46:48.159
Which was crazy.
00:46:48.239 --> 00:46:54.960
Like when we got out of there, me and Dylan, two grown men, probably could have taken over half of them ourselves.
00:46:55.119 --> 00:47:00.719
When we got out of there, I felt relieved because I was like, this is crazy that they would do this with rice and potatoes.
00:47:01.199 --> 00:47:05.039
Something that we dump in the trash when we're done with because we don't eat it all.
00:47:05.199 --> 00:47:05.440
Yeah.
00:47:05.760 --> 00:47:07.199
Or we throw them away because they go bad.
00:47:07.440 --> 00:47:09.840
Yeah, the two most common carbs in America.
00:47:10.159 --> 00:47:10.239
Yeah.
00:47:10.320 --> 00:47:10.480
Absolutely.
00:47:10.639 --> 00:47:11.760
So we take advantage of.
00:47:12.000 --> 00:47:12.559
Yeah, absolutely.
00:47:12.960 --> 00:47:14.480
That's so yeah, we it does.
00:47:14.559 --> 00:47:15.360
It keeps you grounded.
00:47:15.440 --> 00:47:21.280
It it definitely helps me to do those things and to go over there and help and see those people.
00:47:21.360 --> 00:47:28.880
And obviously you can't live like them, but you know, to see how they live, and then you get to come back home and you definitely look at the world a little bit different when you get over here.
00:47:29.599 --> 00:47:35.840
And it's hard though, because those who haven't been on a missions trip or choose not to go, and that's okay, it's not for everybody.
00:47:36.079 --> 00:47:38.400
You want to look at those people like, are you serious?
00:47:38.639 --> 00:47:45.920
You're really gonna, you know, you know what I've those people over there are going through in these third world countries, and you're you know, just tossing out that so you can go get some ice cream.
00:47:46.239 --> 00:47:47.360
Talking about my daughter.
00:47:47.840 --> 00:47:54.639
But she's no, but it's it does, and I think every time she gets to go, it'll help a little by a little.
00:47:54.960 --> 00:48:00.079
And it is, it does help with your stress, it does help with your depression, it does help with your anxiety.
00:48:00.320 --> 00:48:07.840
And I think to circle back around sort of to where we kind of began at, it helps create relationships, yeah.
00:48:08.159 --> 00:48:21.199
Um and it helps you grow in Christ to see you know a team come together to do those things, to go that far, to spend that much time together, and you see how much people love Christ.
00:48:22.000 --> 00:48:32.239
I mean incredibly um when we were at the orphanage, you know, it was just so very clear the team that went over there from FLF how much they loved Jesus.
00:48:32.480 --> 00:48:41.679
And I thought about that so many times since we've gotten back, and that helped me grow in my love for Christ as seeing people that do those things.
00:48:42.000 --> 00:48:46.159
Whenever you surround yourself with like-minded people, it will only help boost.
00:48:46.800 --> 00:48:49.039
And it's just it's beautiful, absolutely.
00:48:50.639 --> 00:48:52.559
I'm glad you brought that up because that's what I do.
00:48:52.880 --> 00:48:57.440
I we probably should have talked about more is the love of Jesus in the Philippines and Romania.
00:48:58.000 --> 00:48:58.239
True.
00:48:58.400 --> 00:49:06.079
Yeah, like that's all they do in the Philippines is sing Christian songs all day.
00:49:06.559 --> 00:49:06.800
Wow.
00:49:07.039 --> 00:49:09.280
And they can all sing and they can play every instrument.
00:49:10.639 --> 00:49:14.800
Like it was yeah, it was like worship every day, all day.
00:49:15.119 --> 00:49:15.679
That's incredible.
00:49:16.000 --> 00:49:17.920
Yeah, and it's the same thing in Romania.
00:49:18.400 --> 00:49:27.840
You know, the kids, we were in the church with the kids, and they were singing the Christian music and they knew every word and they loved it, and they were crying, you know, because it really hit them.
00:49:28.000 --> 00:49:28.320
Yeah.
00:49:28.480 --> 00:49:31.599
Yeah, that we take those little things things for granted too.
00:49:31.840 --> 00:49:33.840
Yeah, sheart for granted.
00:49:34.079 --> 00:49:34.480
Granted.
00:49:34.719 --> 00:49:35.199
There it is.
00:49:35.360 --> 00:49:36.639
Yeah, edit that out, please.
00:49:38.159 --> 00:49:39.599
That's why I got a good editor.
00:49:40.239 --> 00:49:41.280
That's what I'm there for.
00:49:41.519 --> 00:49:41.840
Yeah.
00:49:42.480 --> 00:49:42.880
Swiss.
00:49:42.960 --> 00:49:44.239
You didn't hear any of that.
00:49:44.559 --> 00:49:46.000
Swiss took it out.
00:49:46.239 --> 00:49:49.119
I'm getting to the point where I don't even stop talking.
00:49:49.280 --> 00:49:49.920
No, you don't.
00:49:50.000 --> 00:49:51.840
I dude, it was so funny today.
00:49:52.000 --> 00:49:55.360
I was editing your video and you messed up, and you went.
00:49:56.079 --> 00:50:02.000
And then just if you want to know the real thing this morning, that's the second video that I got tired.
00:50:03.840 --> 00:50:06.960
The first video I messed up so many times, I did it again.
00:50:07.119 --> 00:50:08.159
And I still messed up.
00:50:08.480 --> 00:50:10.400
I mean it's a good one.
00:50:10.639 --> 00:50:11.519
I know she's editing.
00:50:11.679 --> 00:50:14.719
I'm like, just I make it sound cohesive, don't worry.
00:50:15.039 --> 00:50:16.800
She gets to put some bloopers together.
00:50:16.880 --> 00:50:18.400
I told them you need to put the bloopers in it too.
00:50:19.679 --> 00:50:21.360
That's what me and Kindle were talking about earlier.
00:50:21.440 --> 00:50:26.159
I was like, I'm gonna make a whole 10-minute long video of bloopers of you, and it's totally really good.
00:50:26.559 --> 00:50:27.280
They're amazing.
00:50:27.360 --> 00:50:28.000
I love it.
00:50:28.639 --> 00:50:29.360
That's what I mean.
00:50:29.440 --> 00:50:31.360
I we really just it's real stuff.
00:50:31.519 --> 00:50:35.840
Like it's I mess up and can't talk, read, speak.
00:50:36.079 --> 00:50:37.760
Words don't work very well.
00:50:37.920 --> 00:50:41.599
I learned Catholicism about it what two months ago.
00:50:42.079 --> 00:50:43.360
Couldn't even say that word.
00:50:43.920 --> 00:50:45.360
For a couple weeks afterwards, too.
00:50:45.679 --> 00:50:48.400
Took a little bit, but you could I thought that one out right there.
00:50:48.480 --> 00:50:49.920
I got it the first time.
00:50:50.320 --> 00:50:53.199
So any final thoughts, Enola?
00:50:54.000 --> 00:50:58.800
You know, I was just sitting here thinking, like again, I think it's really hard.
00:50:58.960 --> 00:51:02.719
A year ago, I wouldn't have testified at 21 Days of Prayer.
00:51:02.960 --> 00:51:14.800
I may or may not have come onto this podcast, but putting your story and your truth out there is healing.
00:51:14.880 --> 00:51:16.880
Yeah, it relieves, it's okay.
00:51:17.119 --> 00:51:20.559
God made us exactly who we are.
00:51:21.039 --> 00:51:24.480
He fashioned every single day before we were even here.
00:51:24.800 --> 00:51:32.880
So the things that I know for myself that I was so embarrassed of, the choices that I made, the things that I did, I now see as a story.
00:51:33.119 --> 00:51:34.079
It's my story.
00:51:34.480 --> 00:51:35.679
And God did that.
00:51:36.159 --> 00:51:46.079
And after I testified at 21 days of prayer, even this past Sunday, someone that I didn't know came up to me and said, I was moved by your testimony.
00:51:46.400 --> 00:51:46.800
That's right.
00:51:47.360 --> 00:51:49.760
And I've had so many people say that.
00:51:50.159 --> 00:52:00.320
And that's incredible because to me, you know, I was just nervous and just thinking, you know, I just need to share this because God has done so much for me.
00:52:00.719 --> 00:52:03.519
And so I encourage people, you know, tell your story.
00:52:03.840 --> 00:52:05.599
It's yours, it's beautiful.
00:52:06.000 --> 00:52:10.960
You know, God, God loves every one of us for exactly who we are.
00:52:11.599 --> 00:52:17.519
And so many people can learn from Gia's story, from Bobby's story, from Enola's story.
00:52:17.760 --> 00:52:18.159
That's right.
00:52:18.239 --> 00:52:22.400
Um, and and grow in Christ, you know.
00:52:23.280 --> 00:52:32.719
I think that's what's wrong with the world today, is that, and I've had people tell me about it before, you know, I've heard on a podcast that thank you for saying that it's especially with men.
00:52:32.800 --> 00:52:38.880
We'll go back to the men part that it's it's not mainly to love Jesus or be a Christ follower.
00:52:39.360 --> 00:52:41.039
But I think that's what's wrong with the world.
00:52:41.280 --> 00:52:42.000
Absolutely.
00:52:42.320 --> 00:52:48.079
There's not enough people following him and then telling people that we're following him.
00:52:50.880 --> 00:52:51.119
Sure.
00:52:51.360 --> 00:53:00.960
Because it is like it can be awkward, especially with where we're at nowadays, where it seems like around every single corner somebody has something terrible to say about Christians as a whole.
00:53:01.519 --> 00:53:14.239
And so being in that spot and allowing yourself to be vulnerable and susceptible to that type of slander, per se, from all of these people who truly just haven't opened their eyes to it yet.
00:53:14.480 --> 00:53:14.639
Sure.
00:53:15.039 --> 00:53:18.000
It takes a special kind of person and you just need to push yourself away.
00:53:18.159 --> 00:53:20.719
Well, the problem is everybody can do it, she's gotta get there.
00:53:20.880 --> 00:53:21.039
Sure.
00:53:21.280 --> 00:53:22.000
And get to the point.
00:53:22.320 --> 00:53:27.840
Everybody thinks that you've got to have a rebuttal from the book, from the Bible.
00:53:28.000 --> 00:53:31.840
You know, like somebody's gonna ask me some questions about the Bible, and I'm not gonna know the answer.
00:53:31.920 --> 00:53:32.719
So that is correct.
00:53:32.880 --> 00:53:33.760
That's me.
00:53:34.480 --> 00:53:42.639
But I'm gonna I'm gonna bring you to today and then tell you where I was, and I'm gonna bring you to today, and then you're gonna then I'm gonna say, who else could do that?
00:53:42.800 --> 00:53:44.400
Yeah, I couldn't do that on my own.
00:53:44.559 --> 00:53:44.960
Sure.
00:53:45.360 --> 00:53:56.800
So, whatever you think about the the Bible that's been printed how many ever thousands of tens of thousands of times, told by tens of thousands of people, which I've talked about before on the podcast, but it all says the same thing.
00:53:57.519 --> 00:53:59.440
But that's the problem.
00:53:59.679 --> 00:54:10.159
And we're like, if somebody knows I'm a Christian, I'm not gonna know the answers if they ask me, or they have something that they read the Bible and you know, made it the way they wanted to read it, you know what I mean?
00:54:10.320 --> 00:54:15.840
Just taking stuff out of it that I'm not gonna be able to back that up, so I can't let people know I'm a Christian.
00:54:16.079 --> 00:54:28.800
You know, that's what they think, and that's the problem with the world is that we gotta this if it reaches 50 people, it reaches one, which is my thing, or if it reaches 1,000.
00:54:29.119 --> 00:54:29.280
Yeah.
00:54:29.599 --> 00:54:31.440
And it's also not about knowing all of the answers.
00:54:31.679 --> 00:54:33.679
Because truth be told, we're never gonna know.
00:54:33.840 --> 00:54:34.159
Nah.
00:54:34.400 --> 00:54:35.280
There ain't no way.
00:54:35.679 --> 00:54:36.559
There ain't no way.
00:54:36.880 --> 00:54:41.599
No, I've heard Pastor Brad revert to Pastor Vic on questions, so I know that you know.
00:54:42.000 --> 00:54:43.679
You are never gonna know everything.
00:54:44.079 --> 00:54:44.800
It's just it's impossible.
00:54:44.960 --> 00:54:48.639
Yeah, you'd have to ask Pastor Vick on that one, or you know, Pastor Brad would know that, you know what I mean?
00:54:48.719 --> 00:54:51.039
Like in And even sometimes they're gonna tell you.
00:54:51.440 --> 00:54:51.760
I don't know.
00:54:51.840 --> 00:54:54.320
Yeah, if they don't know the answer to a question, they're not gonna lie about it.
00:54:54.480 --> 00:54:54.719
Absolutely.
00:54:54.960 --> 00:54:56.800
It's always just share your story.
00:54:57.360 --> 00:55:01.039
Some people know, like, you know, Evan knows everything.
00:55:01.440 --> 00:55:03.440
I mean, that kid knows a lot about Catholicism.
00:55:03.760 --> 00:55:04.559
Like he knows a lot.
00:55:05.119 --> 00:55:05.679
So smart.
00:55:05.920 --> 00:55:08.800
He is mind-blowingly smart on Catholic.
00:55:09.119 --> 00:55:15.840
He is the guy that I would be scared to would come up to me and start asking me questions about Christianity and make me feel like I wasn't Christian anymore.
00:55:16.639 --> 00:55:23.679
Yeah, that guy, no, I'm on just yeah, that that that I can get that, the intimidated part of it.
00:55:23.840 --> 00:55:27.440
But doing what you're doing is bigger than you can imagine.
00:55:27.679 --> 00:55:28.480
Yes, thank you.
00:55:28.800 --> 00:55:29.679
It really is.
00:55:29.920 --> 00:55:37.519
It's it's what it's about because I promise, whether we hear about it or we don't hear about it, you will help one.
00:55:37.920 --> 00:55:38.320
Yeah.
00:55:38.639 --> 00:55:42.719
That one will help one, and that one will help one.
00:55:42.880 --> 00:55:46.639
And it takes just a little bit at a time, and we just keep doing, just keep moving.
00:55:46.800 --> 00:55:49.440
Trust me, I do not feel like doing podcasts every Tuesday.
00:55:49.519 --> 00:55:53.360
I do not feel like, and I've said this before, I don't feel like doing videos four days a week.
00:55:53.679 --> 00:55:54.639
I don't, I don't.
00:55:54.719 --> 00:56:06.960
And I don't, you know, I do always like sharing my prayer in the morning, but it's not, I don't always like doing those things, but God puts me in here and puts me in the right mindset and says there's a reason for this.
00:56:07.199 --> 00:56:07.760
Absolutely.
00:56:07.840 --> 00:56:12.639
Yeah, and it's not to sell a house and it's not to sell an insurance policy, it's to get the word out.
00:56:12.800 --> 00:56:13.360
Yeah, absolutely.
00:56:13.519 --> 00:56:14.079
Amen.
00:56:14.239 --> 00:56:14.639
For sure.
00:56:14.880 --> 00:56:16.960
So I think that's pretty good to end on.
00:56:17.519 --> 00:56:18.239
I think so too.
00:56:18.480 --> 00:56:19.360
Thank you for having me.
00:56:19.440 --> 00:56:19.679
Thank you.
00:56:19.920 --> 00:56:20.480
Appreciate it.
00:56:20.800 --> 00:56:22.159
Thank you, my sister in Christ.
00:56:22.480 --> 00:56:23.199
Any comments?
00:56:23.679 --> 00:56:24.400
You're so sweet.
00:56:24.639 --> 00:56:25.280
Yeah, yeah.
00:56:25.360 --> 00:56:27.519
If you want to come back on, we'll have you back on.
00:56:27.679 --> 00:56:29.119
Repeat offenders are good around here.
00:56:29.199 --> 00:56:29.599
We'll take it.
00:56:30.079 --> 00:56:30.320
Amazing.
00:56:30.400 --> 00:56:30.639
We love them.
00:56:30.880 --> 00:56:31.599
Yeah, we love them.
00:56:32.079 --> 00:56:36.639
Most people like if you know, text me or mess with me, thanks for having me on.
00:56:36.880 --> 00:56:38.559
Let me know when I can come back.
00:56:38.880 --> 00:56:41.360
Even the ones that I had to beg to come on.
00:56:41.519 --> 00:56:42.719
No, when's part two?
00:56:43.280 --> 00:56:43.760
When's part two?
00:56:44.159 --> 00:56:44.800
When's part two?
00:56:46.880 --> 00:56:48.239
When is part three?
00:56:48.559 --> 00:56:50.079
And when can I bring my brother with me?
00:56:50.159 --> 00:56:51.920
Or when can't I bring up somebody with me?
00:56:52.000 --> 00:56:53.119
I'm like, just do it.
00:56:53.199 --> 00:56:54.400
So everybody.
00:56:54.639 --> 00:56:55.280
It is, it is.
00:56:55.360 --> 00:56:57.199
And it and and I love getting the stories.
00:56:57.280 --> 00:57:01.360
And if I hear a story back from yours, I'll share it with you.
00:57:01.440 --> 00:57:10.159
And the same thing, please just share the same thing with me because we've had a couple of them come, we've had a couple of them, and more than a couple of them that have come back.
00:57:10.320 --> 00:57:12.960
Like, I don't know you, but your podcast.
00:57:13.039 --> 00:57:15.039
I'm like, I'm just glad you're listening to my podcast.
00:57:15.440 --> 00:57:18.079
So, you know, that's a win, but yeah, so that's good.
00:57:18.159 --> 00:57:19.519
So I appreciate you coming on.
00:57:19.679 --> 00:57:20.000
Thank you.
00:57:20.239 --> 00:57:21.280
And now for having me.
00:57:21.440 --> 00:57:22.079
Yeah, appreciate you.
00:57:22.159 --> 00:57:23.360
We'll we'll look for part two.
00:57:24.159 --> 00:57:25.199
Okay, we'll get a part two.
00:57:26.159 --> 00:57:26.400
Yeah.
00:57:26.639 --> 00:57:26.960
All right.
00:57:27.119 --> 00:57:28.000
I didn't do this before.
00:57:28.159 --> 00:57:29.840
Like, subscribe, comment.
00:57:30.480 --> 00:57:32.559
My editor can edit that in the beginning.
00:57:33.519 --> 00:57:34.639
I just copy and paste it.
00:57:35.199 --> 00:57:37.280
I'm not real good with this influencer thing.
00:57:37.360 --> 00:57:38.800
So you guys rub it three.
00:57:39.519 --> 00:57:41.760
We're back with the podcast with Molin G.
00:57:42.079 --> 00:57:43.599
Hey, don't forget to like, subscribe, and comment.
00:57:43.679 --> 00:57:45.760
So we can cut that out, put that at the beginning.
00:57:48.880 --> 00:57:50.559
Love you guys, Robert Therylus.
