00:01:30
Speaker 3: Yeah it's a whole new team and like these people are like it was weird because I'm a professional speaker yes you are but when it comes to something like this it ain't no ad living it ain't no crowd work it ain't no like like look you gotta submit it to them And this is what you got to say. And you might be able to throw some stuff in here every now and then. But for the most part, this is what you got to do.
00:01:56
Speaker 2: Yeah. And I'm over here, man.
00:01:58
Speaker 3: I got four pages, dog.
00:02:00
Speaker 2: Ask me how much I got memorized, dog. Ken, how much you got memorized for your TED talk? Man, the first three sentences. Look. Dang. Look here, man. Look at me. I want to know something, though, man.
00:02:13
Speaker 1: At what part in your TED Talk do you ask the question, what that butt do?
00:02:17
Speaker 2: Man, right in the middle. Right in the middle.
00:02:21
Speaker 3: Right in the middle when I bring out my alien ventriloquist dummy.
00:02:25
Speaker 2: Yeah. And you're like... I'm like, yo.
00:02:28
Speaker 3: What you doing here, E.T.? He like, I'm trying to see what that butt do in the audience, right? You know what I'm talking about, lady? You, I saw your ass when you sat down. All them buns, I saw it. Hey, by the way, mouth moves and everything. I don't even do the, hey, terrible ventriloquism. They like, yo, your mouth moving.
00:02:48
Speaker 2: No, it ain't. You don't know.
00:02:50
Speaker 3: Nothing about ventriloquism. My mouth ain't moving at all. The dummy mouth moving. Stop playing with me. Tell them, dummy. They so stupid. They gonna let me know what their butt do, though.
00:03:01
Speaker 2: Oh, that's funny, man. That's hilarious, man. I want to say thank you also, Ken.
00:03:07
Speaker 1: Not only do I want to congratulate you on your TED Talk, man, but thank you for posting a brother's.
00:03:11
Speaker 2: Headshot at the club. I'm going to be in a little bit.
00:03:14
Speaker 1: I appreciate that, man. I appreciate the love. Not everybody does that. And I want to say thank you.
00:03:18
Speaker 2: I walked past. I was like, yo, that dude's adorable. I was like, y'all done changed on. I said, that dude is adorable, man. Who is that? I said, that's my dog. It's been a long time.
00:03:35
Speaker 3: You know, and we love that club, man. It's one of our favorite clubs. Shout out to Vasani Sports Yard. The audiences are always great. They don't know how to work the AC in there, but bro, we have five.
00:03:47
Speaker 2: Okay, so let's get to the show. Talk about it, man. Talk about who you're with.
00:03:52
Speaker 3: Wednesday, though, it was me and Mike Hurley. Me and Mike Hurley was co-headliners. I'm going to start with this, bro. And if you're a young comic and you're listening, Don't take this the wrong way. Take this as an OG helping you out so you can get future work. When you are the host, the master of ceremonies, can you do some damn jokes? I don't know what it is that all these new hosts that just want to do crowd work and talk to the audience. Bro, it drives me insane. So you ain't set them up for nothing. They ain't set up for no comedy.
00:04:32
Speaker 2: At all, bro.
00:04:34
Speaker 3: Like our host, and shout out, I ain't trying to mess on the comic, but I'm like, yo, do some material, bro. This is the thing, though, James.
00:04:46
Speaker 2: Talk to me.
00:04:47
Speaker 3: They have this thing where they're like, well, I do this club all the time so they know my material. I do the improv all the time. I do the same material. Yeah.
00:04:56
Speaker 2: Somebody here has not heard you.
00:05:00
Speaker 3: You think everybody in this audience know your set back before?
00:05:04
Speaker 2: No. Come on. And it ain't about you as the MC also.
00:05:09
Speaker 1: You're supposed to be setting up the people behind you that come on that stage when you get done.
00:05:13
Speaker 2: And you can't do that if you get on stage and your whole thing. Who's celebrating? Is you married? How long you been married? Who's dating? Like, yo, do some jokes, bro.
00:05:26
Speaker 3: And I know a lot of people are like, my host ain't got to be funny.
00:05:29
Speaker 2: If you're hosting for Ken Miller, you got to be funny. Thank you. Who said you ain't supposed to be funny as a host? People have that.
00:05:36
Speaker 3: Because, you know, people have these, everybody got their comedy, great comedy works, you know, because it's the host, and then the feature gets better, and then the hair, like the show gets better. No, I need the show to be up here at all, the whole show. I don't want the show to start down here and work as well.
00:05:53
Speaker 2: No. I want that thing to be leveled. Bro, I'm going to.
00:05:58
Speaker 1: Tell y'all right now, Real Laughs does shows together, and any one of us can go in any order to make that show good. We don't just have anybody up there that's not been a, you know, we pride ourselves on having an all-headliner cast, man. So when you come see us, you'll see either one of us, all three of us, either one of us close the show out. There's no particular order, but that show is good from the start to the finish.
00:06:22
Speaker 2: I'll be damned if it ain't. You got to be able to run with the big dogs. Yeah, you got to be able to run with.
00:06:28
Speaker 3: And we might have a dip if Jeff do a guest spot.
00:06:31
Speaker 2: But other than that, we up. All the way up, baby. Shout out to my dog, Jeff, man.
00:06:40
Speaker 1: Speaking of Jeff, man, let's give a shout out to our official sponsor from Kauffman & Lynn.
00:06:44
Speaker 2: They are your personal injury attorneys.
00:06:45
Speaker 1: They've been representing and winning for the good people.

00:07:07
Speaker 2: We got a letter, a welcome letter from Jeff's law firm. We already on one. We already on one.
00:07:12
Speaker 3: So we actually using Jeff. So he ain't even a, he ain't.
00:07:15
Speaker 2: Just a sponsor. He actually our lawyer.
00:07:17
Speaker 3: Lawyer, for real. Like I've used him too. Like I ain't lying about that. This is actually my second time using Jeff's law firm.
00:07:24
Speaker 2: Bro, facts. He good at what he do. I'm going to tell you all that right now. He good at what he do. You know what he doing, man.
00:07:31
Speaker 3: So, the Wednesday night show, the host doesn't do any material, so Mike goes in. Now, me and Mike co-headline him.
00:07:36
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:07:37
Speaker 3: And Mike goes up and Mike bomb it. It's like an up and down. Like, he'll get him, he won't get him. It's not the bomb where he's terrible. No.
00:07:46
Speaker 2: It's just the audience isn't ready for stand-up. Correct. You know what I'm saying? So, he got to, you know... Play with it a little bit for me. You know what I mean?
00:07:55
Speaker 3: So he finally get him. He finally get him.
00:07:58
Speaker 2: He fluffer. He finally got him.
00:08:01
Speaker 3: And I go up and same thing, bro. It's just that room just not like ready. Like me and Mike said, we ain't bomb, but we was tickin'. We was taking something like somebody cut the green wire. Somebody cut the green wire. I was down to the green or the red. And they cut the green wire. Thank God they didn't cut the red because that whole room would have exploded.
00:08:25
Speaker 2: Got it.
00:08:26
Speaker 3: So Thursday through Saturday, we had the WIC shows. The WIC shows are always amazing. They're sold out. They're great shows. But I don't know what it was with this club.
00:08:35
Speaker 2: I don't know.
00:08:36
Speaker 3: Their AC bill wasn't paid. Boy, it was so hot in there.
00:08:40
Speaker 2: Hot.
00:08:41
Speaker 3: Like like like hot like a black church bro it was black but white people and his you know wick's audience are white well them white folk was in there like you looked down the audience like who gave you a martin luther king at one point we asked for a collection for the building fund it was so hot yeah the building fund It was hot in there, bro. And so we got through the weekend. It was dope, man. And shout out to Wix, man. It's, you know, right now we're at, we did 49 shows. And if you add these last five, last four, yeah, five shows, we're at 55 shows, over 16,000 tickets sold.
00:09:28
Speaker 2: That's wild. They love him.
00:09:31
Speaker 3: Yes. Yes. Like, his audiences love him, man. And I've said this on this show before. I've never seen anything like it when it comes to ticket sales. You know what I'm saying? And Gary Owen, Michael Blackson, Marlon Wayne, Mojo. Shout out to Mojo Brooks, man, killing it. Like, those dudes, 85 South, like, they sell tickets where it's sold out.
00:09:55

00:10:02
Speaker 3: Wicks sold a show out. We added another show. It sold out.
00:10:06
Speaker 2: We had, we doing a two o'clock show. A matinee.
00:10:11
Speaker 3: Yeah. The day before Valentine's day, the day before the Superbowl, that boy sold out three shows.
00:10:18
Speaker 2: Damn. Shout out to Wicks, man. Most big headliners won't even do the Super Bowl weekend. No, they won't. Because of low ticket sales. Yeah.
00:10:31
Speaker 1: This is amazing, man. And it doesn't look like he has any intentions of stopping. It's a train, bro.
00:10:39
Speaker 3: At first, he was like, yeah, I'm just going to do this. I'm going to do it this way. And then when them checks start coming in, he was like, so I was on chat GPT and they said there's a theater.
00:10:53
Speaker 2: And he gives me the address. I said, that's James house. Yeah.
00:10:55
Speaker 3: James said we can perform there. James Michelle said, Michelle said, Michelle said we get 800 people in here.
00:11:02
Speaker 2: Yeah. Bruh.
00:11:04
Speaker 1: I'm not mad at that because if anyone deserves that kind of success, is that dude. We've said it time and time again. Wait till y'all meet him in person. He is one of the nicest human beings I've.
00:11:15
Speaker 2: Ever met in my life. And they love him. Yes, they do.
00:11:22
Speaker 3: When we did Lakeland, Polk County, that meet and greet was three and a half hours long.
00:11:27
Speaker 2: And he stayed for every single one of them. He stayed for every single one of them, bro. Yes, he did.
00:11:34
Speaker 1: And we've seen it. Me and Ken have been at the A-Clubs. They charging.
00:11:40

00:11:41
Speaker 1: The comedian is charging for y'all to take pictures with him.
00:11:45
Speaker 2: Y'all want to get certain things. Wicks is just like, nah, I'm just going to do it.
00:11:49
Speaker 1: I'm just going to wait for everybody to get through, man, because these people pay good money to see me.
00:11:53
Speaker 2: I'm going to give them the time that they deserve.
00:11:55
Speaker 1: I salute that. Thank you for doing that. But not everybody does that, bro.
00:11:59
Speaker 2: Yeah. You pay your $ 35.
00:12:01
Speaker 3: And that's to pay you. That's your meet and greet is the ticket.
00:12:05
Speaker 2: Everything, bro. It is. And just hanging out with him outside of the show. He's fun. He's funny.
00:12:12
Speaker 3: His people are cool. His audiences are cool. You know what I'm saying? Now, I will say a lot of them have never been to a comedy show before, so they don't know.
00:12:20
Speaker 2: How to act. But I straighten them out because I tell them to shut their ass up. Do you really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Do they yell stuff?
00:12:29
Speaker 1: Because a lot of Wicks' stuff has to do with Publix. Are they yelling Publix references out the whole time? While he's on stage, now when me and Mike get on stage, they.
00:12:39
Speaker 2: Know what's up. Okay. All right. They scared of me and Mike. Okay. Because I know Wicks always got some kind of Publix snack in.
00:12:47
Speaker 1: His hand and his flip phone and whatnot. And he's known for Publix. And I love Publix. I know, who is it, Miguel? Me and him go back and forth about he don't like Publix subs. And we're going to have to disagree on that because I love you. I do now.
00:13:02
Speaker 2: I hated him. You knew I could stand them things, bro. It was the bread. It was the bread. Now they got the salt bread. Now they got the salt bread. I'm with it. I'm with the salt bread. All day, baby. All day. Pause. Boy's head. All day. Pause.
00:13:20
Speaker 3: But yeah, it was a it was a dope weekend. Next weekend, we're in Lake City, Lake Lake City chick. And then we'll take a couple weeks off because me and my wife got we had to reschedule our vacation. And that's what the whole lawsuit is coming up about. So, yeah.
00:13:38
Speaker 2: Oh, really? So y'all can talk about it on air. I can talk about it, yeah. In between, like, we go to break. I might need to know what's going on. Yeah, like, I got to pause it. You got to pause.
00:13:48
Speaker 3: I don't even want Casey to hear because he.
00:13:52
Speaker 2: Might be a snitch. And I might not be able to get my money. I want to be on the billboard. Like, yo, Kaufman got me. You want to be on the billboard with him?
00:13:59
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:14:00
Speaker 3: Kaufman got me $ 117.

00:15:42
Speaker 2: That's so good. It's funny, man. Just living life and meeting people in life.
00:15:50
Speaker 3: Did you ever thought in your almost 50 plus years on this earth that you would have a lawyer as one of your friends? No.
00:15:57
Speaker 2: No. No. Not at all, man. No.
00:16:03
Speaker 3: That we can literally call. So when the thing happened, I hit him up about it. And he was like, why didn't you call me first? Why did you email the company? I was like, man, I don't want to be bothering you. He says, it's not a bother.
00:16:20
Speaker 2: It's my job. That's what he says. And I was like, okay. I got to give him credit.
00:16:27
Speaker 1: Jeff Kaufman is a real friend. Jeff Kaufman will want to help you when it comes to legal matters because he says he's seen the other side of that where you don't get the proper representation and then you end up having to eat certain things in life. And he don't want that to happen to his people.
00:16:42
Speaker 2: So I will give him credit. Shout out to you, Mr. Kaufman and Kaufman and Lynn. Y'all do take care of people. They care. They actually care.
00:16:49
Speaker 1: Like you can call there and you can talk to Jeff directly. You can't talk to them other guys on billboards.
00:16:53
Speaker 2: They'd be like, who? Nah, he ain't here.
00:16:56
Speaker 3: That brother's in Columbia or something. He on a private jet somewhere. He's somewhere making commercials.
00:17:02
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:17:03
Speaker 3: That brother's playing golf in Mar-a-Lago right now. He on the back nine. Jeff would pick the phone up.
00:17:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Jeff would pick the phone up. He a loser.
00:17:13
Speaker 3: He doesn't want to be around his girlfriend. She want to go out, hang out. Jeff ain't got no.
00:17:19
Speaker 2: Friends but us. That's funny. That's all he needs is us, though. That's it, man. That's it.
00:17:25
Speaker 3: But shout out to him, man. Her birthday got ruined, so, you know. But we're going to make it up.
00:17:30
Speaker 1: And I want to say happy birthday to sis, man. I'm sorry it got ruined, but just want to make sure. Hey, happy born day.
00:17:37
Speaker 3: Happy birthday to our dog, too, B.
00:17:39
Speaker 2: Yes, today.
00:17:40
Speaker 1: Now, we record early, y'all. This is Sunday for us, but it's Monday when you're listening. It is Miguel Colon Jr.
00:17:47
Speaker 2: 's birthday. So, of course, he is not on the radio with us. He is out enjoying life as he likes to enjoy life.
00:17:54
Speaker 1: And I'm going to leave it at that. You never know what Miguel's up to. It might be illegal in two states, but hey.
00:18:01
Speaker 2: Hey, hey, hey. Also, too, it ain't here with me, but let me see. Let me see if I can. I'm going to just use this, yo. Shout out. Ruthie made birthday. Her ass is in here, baby. Shake them up. Shake them up. Shake them. There you go. Yo, y'all.

00:18:28
Speaker 2: Bro.
00:18:29
Speaker 3: Oh, man. I had to wish 17,000 people happy birthday on Facebook the other day. Y'all be making them Christmas and New Year, baby. Oh, all these other days y'all can have sex. We don't need no more September birthdays, bro.
00:18:42
Speaker 2: We good.
00:18:42
Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you like some of them players be telling them women, I ain't Santa, but here's something for your stocking.
00:18:50
Speaker 2: Let me put something down your mistletoe, baby. I'll get something for you. Come on. You know what happens, man. You get a little drink in you on Christmas. You feeling good, man. You and wifey ain't fighting that night. Come on, man.
00:19:03
Speaker 3: You know, my daughter's birthday is September, and me and my ex was fighting. Yeah, yeah.
00:19:11
Speaker 2: That one day, though. Nine months later, I'm like, this... Hey, I was almost out. How old is baby? How's baby girl now? Just be 21, 21, 21. Yeah. She's going to take a, she's going to take a drink though. Yeah, man. We already got, we're going bowling and everything. We're going to hang out. Okay. Yeah.
00:19:33
Speaker 3: I already know it's going to be on me. And I just, I just ready for her, you know.
00:19:39
Speaker 2: They're not like us. No, Ken, no. They not like us. They don't want to work. They don't want to get no driver. license. They don't want to move out.
00:19:53
Speaker 1: They don't want to drive. They don't want to go outside their room. They want to play video games, cosplay.
00:20:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, bro. It's different. We wanted freedom. We wanted that license so we could get out. We could go. Kids today are like, I ain't going nowhere. Well, I need to go somewhere. I just ride with you, dad. Yeah, bro.
00:20:14
Speaker 3: So hopefully, you know, hopefully, you know, she should get it together and decide what she want to do with her life at 21. But I ain't rushing the, you know, you know, her brother. Her brother's big thing was, hey, you know, let them live their life and figure out their life.

Speaker 3: Go buy us an urban wear outfit, bro, and lay that thing on the bed and just be like, yo.
00:21:19
Speaker 2: Look at it. Like, hey, Ken, remember that conversation you had with yourself? You're like, ooh, I'm going to kill him in school tomorrow. I'm going to kill him in school. I'm going to kill him tomorrow. You had your shoes next to it?
00:21:29
Speaker 1: Bro.
00:21:30
Speaker 2: The ones that matched? Yeah.
00:21:33
Speaker 3: And you wasn't even supposed to put shoes on the bed. He had his shoes on the bed. Like, just looking at it like, I'm about to kill him tomorrow. Stop.

Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, man. Shout out to Jazia.
00:21:43
Speaker 3: Jazia was making fun of me because I still had skinny jeans on. I didn't know the trend changed. She was like, Daddy, don't nobody wear them no more. James, do you not just buy six pair of jeans? Damn, you wouldn't got them? No, I went about all my skinny jeans gone. So I went about regular.
00:22:00
Speaker 2: Jeans, bro. Let me tell you, you know I'm on that Manjaro, right? Yeah.
00:22:04
Speaker 1: I'm on one of the medications. So now all my skinny jeans fit a little baggy. yeah safe for a little bit they about to be back i'm about to look like a crackhead out here real real looking like no they ain't baggy coming back they got the 90s baggy pants old navy bro but i was telling this story because me and sean was out gap and old navy are my favorite jeans i just love gap so we were at the gap and they had a jean jacket outfit Let me tell y'all something, bro.
00:22:35
Speaker 2: Nah. Let me tell y'all something.
00:22:37
Speaker 3: Let me tell y'all about a young Ken Miller, 1997, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. My first credit card. I drove from Fort Huachuca to Dillard's in Phoenix, Arizona. That's a three-hour drive because we had no mall. Drove up to me and my boy. I bought a Sean John jean jacket outfit. It's the first thing I ever bought on my credit card.
00:22:59
Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, bro. I wore that thing to the club every Friday for six months. Amen. Bruh. Talk to him, Ken. I was so proud of myself.
00:23:09
Speaker 3: I've got my own. I got my first credit card. buy my first little urban wear. Me and my homeboy would swap. Saturday, he'd rock it. Friday, I'd rock it.
00:23:19
Speaker 2: That's how we used to do it. Bro, hey, he had an outfit. I had an outfit. That's how it worked. We were so proud, man. I'm taking it back to when we was kids.
00:23:28
Speaker 3: We would buy something and just be so proud that we bought it with our money.
00:23:33
Speaker 2: With our money, bro. We earned it, man.
00:23:35
Speaker 3: I got to a point. I think when I started working at Parker Brothers... I can't tell you if.
00:23:41
Speaker 2: My mama ever bought me anything else. Because you bought it yourself.
00:23:44
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:23:45
Speaker 2: And you took pride in that, man. Hey, I bought you. Took pride in it. And when you buy it yourself. Go ahead. You work all summer so I can get my school clothes.
00:23:53
Speaker 1: Yeah. And couldn't wait to spend that money I had, man, because I saved it up. It meant something because I put in work to get that. But we different. Like, I still got stuff that I had in high school. just because it lasted that long. My wife thinks I had to get rid of it finally, but I just had stuff in here that never just went bad because we didn't have growing up. We were poor, so the things I worked for and I got, I took care of them, brother. I had sneakers from back in the day, jeans from back in the day, but then they took baggy.
00:24:23
Speaker 2: Ways, so I got rid of all that stuff. Hey, man, you know my story. I still got my original Nintendo. Bro.
00:24:32
Speaker 3: I showed up to basic training with that thing. They was looking at you like, where'd you get that from?
00:24:38
Speaker 2: I told them, I said, I'm not going back home. No, I'm not going back home. I'm with you.
00:24:42
Speaker 3: I said, I'm not going back home. I said, I brought everything with me. They locked that thing up in the car. It was weird because one of my drill sergeants, I had a white drill sergeant and I had a black drill sergeant.
00:24:56
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:24:56
Speaker 3: And the black drill sergeant, the white drill sergeant was my guy, but the black drill sergeant understood. He was like, I got you. I got you private. Locked my stuff up and I went through basic training. And when I left there, I left there with the clothes that I came from Greensboro with, my Nintendo. I went to my next duty station and my next duty station. And I said, I'm not going home.
00:25:18
Speaker 2: I'm not mad at you, Ken. I'm not.
00:25:19
Speaker 3: Matter of fact, when I got to D.C., When I was about to re-up, because I was doing 20 years.
00:25:25
Speaker 2: I was going to do 20 years. That was your plan. That was my plan.
00:25:29
Speaker 3: And then my first wife was like, nah, we're moving to Orlando.
00:25:35
Speaker 2: I said, cool. Long as I ain't going to Greensboro. But you know what?
00:25:41
Speaker 1: That is another part of being a Gen Xer. When we left the house, we wasn't going back.
00:25:47
Speaker 2: We done. I love y'all, but no, I can't go back. I ain't coming back. I ain't coming back. I ain't coming back. Because you know what?
00:25:56
Speaker 1: It's different because kids nowadays will come home and it's all good. But we wanted the freedom to make our own decisions. I didn't want to live under nobody's rules anymore. I wanted to be gone. I didn't do nothing different. I just wanted to be gone. Like, I thought I was going to.
00:26:10
Speaker 2: Do all this stuff. I ain't do nothing different, man. For real. I just stayed out a little later. Ain't what I wanted. Yeah. If you meet a lot of Gen Xers.
00:26:20
Speaker 3: I can guarantee you a big group of Gen X as you meet, they do not live in the place they grew up at.
00:26:27
Speaker 2: Nope.
00:26:28
Speaker 3: If you meet a Gen X and say, where are you from? I'm from Charlotte, and you'll be in Sanford, Florida. Yeah, a lot of Gen Xers, we like, man, we left our city. Or they might still be in their state. They ain't living in the city they grew up in. They might be like, I'm from Greensboro, but live in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte.
00:26:46
Speaker 2: Like James. James from Tallahassee. Tallahassee. Tallahassee. James from Tallahassee. Right here in Orlando. I had to go. I had to go, man. Dude, my wife.
00:26:56
Speaker 3: My wife lived in Atlanta 20 years and only came home because her parents passed away.
00:27:01
Speaker 2: Correct. Correct, man. We usually go.
00:27:05
Speaker 1: I was looking at a post today that was explaining what a Gen Xer was. It says you're 40 to 45 years old right now. You still listen to the same music. You ain't afraid of nothing. And you will still throw hands.
00:27:18
Speaker 2: That's us. We might get whooped, but we will throw hands. We will do it, people. We don't play. Hey, man. We might get beat up. Y'all might beat us up. But you're going to remember that fight. You're going to remember that fight. Yes, you are. I'm going to get my lick in. I sure am.
00:27:35
Speaker 1: You sure are, man. Shout out to all the Gen Xers out there, man. Shout out to all the people with knee pain in the morning. They didn't do nothing in their sleep. Still waking up with.
00:27:44
Speaker 2: Their back hurt. Hey, shout out to y'all, man.
00:27:46
Speaker 1: Shout out to people who are getting, what do you call that? You pull a cramp reaching for the remote.
00:27:52
Speaker 2: Shout out to all y'all, man. Man, getting them charley horses, bro. Bro. Getting them charley horses, man.
00:27:59
Speaker 1: My wife has been coming out to Disney with me because, you know, I go all the time and she want to go. Like, oh, yeah, I see you go all the time. She learned a valuable lesson. She learned that she is not 21 anymore. Let me tell y'all something about that heat out there. The heat in Florida in the summertime is disrespectful.
00:28:16
Speaker 2: Yeah. It will whoop your whole ass, people. It will whoop.
00:28:20
Speaker 1: My wife's like, how do you do this four times a week? I'm saying because I'm trying to make this money.
00:28:24
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
00:28:27
Speaker 3: The heat in Florida is like a white kid named Connor yelling at his mama.
00:28:31
Speaker 2: Disrespectful. By the first name. Disrespect. Connor yelling at Carol. It is disrespectful, bro. Correct. For real. It's so disrespectful in Florida, it called me the hard-arm. I'm just telling y'all. That's the one thing in Florida, let me tell you something, Dave. AC?
00:28:52
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:28:53
Speaker 2: Nah, dawg. Nah.
00:28:54
Speaker 3: Hey, if I didn't have money for AC, I'll go tricking to get that money.
00:28:59
Speaker 2: You ain't lying. I sell some booty. My AC went out. I had to pay for it. You know how I end my show in the thong? I be right on OBT in that outfit. Hey, y'all, don't go anywhere. We'll be right back.
00:29:15
Speaker 1: This is Real Lives on Real Radio 104.4.
00:29:39
Speaker 2: Welcome back. everybody.
00:29:40
Speaker 1: You are still listening to Real Lives on Real Radio 104.1.
00:29:44
Speaker 2: I'm your host tonight, Mr. James John. Join the studio with my good friend, Mr. Ken Miller, a.k.a. the godfather of Orlando comedy, a.k.a. he making his money on these streets, people, the legal way.
00:29:56
Speaker 1: All right, Ken, I just wanted to shout out somebody real quick that we both know who is doing such wonderful work out there for her community.
00:30:03
Speaker 2: I'm talking about Robin Hoffman, who is a.
00:30:06
Speaker 1: Filmmaker, producer, director. She has celiac disease and so does my son. And she's trying to bring awareness to it. So she made a documentary and she.
00:30:15
Speaker 2: Had me be a part of it, man.
00:30:17
Speaker 1: And we got to see the world premiere last night at the Ritz Theater in Sanford. Shout out to everybody who came out and supported. It was an amazing event. My wife, who is, I think, really tough. critic when it comes to entertainment. Like she will tell you, you know, my wife can't, if she don't like something, she will tell y'all the truth. If y'all don't believe me, this is a short story about my wife. I did a comedy contest one time. It wasn't doing well. She grabbed the light from the MC and lit my ass to get off the stage.
00:30:48
Speaker 2: That's my wife.
00:30:49
Speaker 1: If you know, Michelle death, her, I was looking at her the whole time and she was laughing.
00:30:54
Speaker 2: She was crying at parts and.
00:30:55
Speaker 1: They would bring up my comedy that I was doing in between all the different serious parts. And she was actually enjoying it. She said, baby, that was absolutely amazing. So shout out to Robin Hoffman and Lisa Goldman, the executive producer for producing Gluten is a Joke. It's a great documentary about people that have celiac and how so many people don't understand it and just dismiss it. And they don't understand how these people suffer each and every day. It's something that my son's going to be proud to see because he has celiac as well. She already has it distributed on three different platforms, but she didn't reveal what they are yet. So I can't wait for her to tell us. And I can't wait for people out there to see it, man. So I just want to thank her again for letting me be a part of it.
00:31:35
Speaker 2: This woman's amazing. She did a great job. So it's a joke. We love Robin, man. Shout out to Robin, bro. Yeah. Great person, man.
00:31:42
Speaker 1: Since the first time we met her, man. Nothing but good comedy fan, by the way.
00:31:46
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:31:46
Speaker 3: Oh, man, I can't wait for the come out so we can check it out, man. We got to bring on the show to talk about it, man.
00:31:52
Speaker 2: Bro, she would love that. Yeah, please do, man. In her own right. Yeah. Yeah.
00:31:56
Speaker 3: And she loves comedy. She loves stand up comedy. She's been around us for a while. Matter of fact, I did this thing about right before COVID about true stories.
00:32:06
Speaker 2: And she recorded it for me.
00:32:08
Speaker 3: And we never released it because the only reason I didn't want to release it because we took so long to get it out. And then every 40,000 comedians were doing these true story things.
00:32:18
Speaker 2: I was like, I don't want to be there.
00:32:20
Speaker 3: But now I'm like, yeah, but now I want to go ahead and do something with it, man. I've been trying to get my fan page up. And so I think I'm going to start doing it on my fan page, man.
00:32:30
Speaker 2: But, but, but, but speaking to comedy, dog, where the hell you be? We don't talk about me. Where the hell your black ass be? They've been on this show for two weeks. Where your black ass be at?
00:32:42
Speaker 1: My black ass was working on that cruise ship. Shout out to the Norwegian getaway. Had a great time. And it's still wild for me, Ken. I get on the cruise ship and people know me from theme park comedians.
00:32:56
Speaker 2: They be like, where's Devin? I'm like, if y'all don't, he don't live with me.
00:33:01
Speaker 1: People think that me and Devin, for real, let me tell you something crazy, Ken. Shout out to everybody who supports theme park comedians, but me and Devin are not a couple. I posted in one of our groups a picture of me and my wife, and they're like, we thought.
00:33:15
Speaker 2: You and Devin were gay. No! Devin is not my husband. That is not my boyfriend. I am married to Michelle, y'all. That's so funny. They're like, we thought that you... Hey, dawg. thought you and Devin were a couple. No!
00:33:33
Speaker 1: Now, do I spend more time with him than my family?
00:33:38
Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. But anyway. Yeah. No, we're not a couple, man.
00:33:44
Speaker 1: But yeah, it's weird to go places and they know you from something.
00:33:49
Speaker 2: Bro, we've worked, how long, man? We've been doing comedy for so long, Ken. You know how it is.
00:33:53
Speaker 1: I've been fighting this social media thing for years, trying to figure it out, post stuff, see what people like. And I ain't had a lot of success at all Until now, man. So, God bless. Thank y'all so much.
00:34:03
Speaker 2: I appreciate y'all. And what makes me.
00:34:04
Speaker 3: Mad, the stuff that I think should go viral doesn't.
00:34:08
Speaker 2: Don't! Kid!
00:34:10
Speaker 3: Yo, this new videos, you peeing on yourself.
00:34:14
Speaker 2: Yes. Thank you, man. Thank you, kid.
00:34:19
Speaker 3: Let me tell y'all something. That video was so funny. I called James.
00:34:25
Speaker 2: You did.
00:34:25
Speaker 3: Shout out to my brother. I said, in words, Yeah. I had to get up from my desk. I watch reels and stuff at work, by the way. I had to get up from my desk.
00:34:37
Speaker 2: Nobody got internet. Nobody.
00:34:39
Speaker 3: Internet just out. Whole mall of California out. That whole fiber cut, I was supposed to be fixing. I was watching James P.O.
00:34:47
Speaker 2: Himself, bro.
00:34:48
Speaker 1: Bro, I thought it was funny, too, but it's not what you think is going to go viral, though, man.
00:34:53
Speaker 3: Bro, dog, Miguel the other day posted him eating the car at John's time. Yeah!
00:35:01
Speaker 2: Hey, dog. Hey, man.
00:35:05
Speaker 1: Bro, the funny part was at the end, he's like, what did he say?
00:35:09
Speaker 2: Apology, sir. Apology.
00:35:13
Speaker 1: Because I will tell you, I am always amazed when Mr. Child Time don't make a mess. Don't make a mess at all.
00:35:18
Speaker 2: I'm like, bro.
00:35:19
Speaker 3: To the point where I'm thinking like, maybe he changed shirts during church.
00:35:23
Speaker 2: Bro.
00:35:24
Speaker 3: But man, those two videos that y'all posted, I was cackling.
00:35:29
Speaker 2: But let me tell you what, it will go viral.
00:35:32
Speaker 3: I will reshare somebody else's video of a funny thing that happened.
00:35:37
Speaker 2: And I go, look, I said, a video of mine got 170,000 views? And it won't be my video. You're like, damn.
00:35:44
Speaker 3: It'd be some kid getting hit upside the head in the cookout by a flip-flop.
00:35:49
Speaker 2: Bruh. You know, I got it.
00:35:51
Speaker 1: Okay, you know who is great about sending videos of people getting hurt and he thinks it's the best thing ever?
00:35:55
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Kermit. Bruh. That's all we do.
00:35:59
Speaker 3: I told my Kermit, I said, it has to be a... Word for that. Because we really enjoy watching people get hurt. I love it, bro.
00:36:08
Speaker 2: I don't know what it is. I love it, bro.
00:36:13
Speaker 3: Man, it's a video I'm about to post this week. The dude is doing Michael Jackson and the speaker fall on him.
00:36:20
Speaker 2: Stop.
00:36:21
Speaker 3: Angel said that boy was performing so bad. Michael Jackson sent that speaker for me.
00:36:29
Speaker 2: From the grave. From the grave. Michael Jackson puts that speaker over.
00:36:33
Speaker 5: Hey, man.
00:36:35
Speaker 2: Oh, my God. I love watching people get hurt. I like people.
00:36:39
Speaker 3: Anybody get hurt. Anybody get cussed out. You know, Mangy is my favorite man. When that dude called that man Mangy and he went off.
00:36:51
Speaker 2: Bro, I love it. You were loving that. You, Dwayne, were loving that for months. Hey, it's one right now.
00:36:57
Speaker 3: This bull, this dude on the bull, and he gets thrown off the bull and his shoe gets stuck to it.
00:37:04
Speaker 2: What's that little thing at the bottom of the boot? That little spur?
00:37:08
Speaker 3: And so, Jay, he hanging on the wall with one of them.
00:37:13
Speaker 2: Bro, stop.
00:37:14
Speaker 3: He had to drag this dude up because the bull about to hit him on the wall like a bullseye.
00:37:20
Speaker 2: Damn, man. Dave, I said it to you. Hey, man. Have you seen the other one, though?
00:37:26
Speaker 1: The bull, the guys in the little gate before they open it, he's getting ready, he's getting ready.
00:37:30
Speaker 2: Yeah. As soon as they open the gate, he get tore up in the end. Hey, dog.
00:37:35
Speaker 3: They said, Angel said, that boy threw that dude up against the wall like he was testing spaghetti.
00:37:46
Speaker 1: As soon as the gate opened, he went through the gate with the bull.
00:37:50
Speaker 2: Hey, man, I love it. Bro, it's one of the other ones, too.
00:37:53
Speaker 3: It's these Indian kids messing with this dude on a bike.
00:37:57
Speaker 2: And he picks the kid up and he throws him. Bro, I love it, bro.
00:38:06
Speaker 1: I love it. All the karma videos. They're like, here comes instant karma. You messing with somebody. Hey, man.
00:38:13
Speaker 2: Going about your business. Hey, man, I told you. Going about your business. And then, boop, boop, boop, boop. Creepy. Or something happened to you.
00:38:22
Speaker 3: Like, it was a dude at a stop sign, and the guy was walking across the street, and the guy had stopped, but the dude was giving him the finger, being mad. And I looked up, and bam, he ran into the... No, when Kanye West walked into.
00:38:36
Speaker 2: That stop sign... Catholic Church. I love watching people get hurt, bro.
00:38:53
Speaker 3: It's got to be a word for that. Watching somebody get hurt brings me joy. Now, I don't want you to get hurt while you're dead or something.
00:39:02
Speaker 2: No, not that.
00:39:02
Speaker 3: If I know you're alive, if I know you're alive, I think I know the word they call it.
00:39:10
Speaker 2: It's called disturbed. That's what we are. Okay, I can take that. I'm a little disturbed. Yeah. If I thought you were alive, I'm like, all right, dude. I'm still laughing. Because if it.
00:39:19
Speaker 3: Happened to me, I hope you laugh. Somebody need to laugh out of this. Yeah, I hope you laugh, man. If my dumb ass decide I'm going to ride the bull and it throw me up against the wall. wall like spaghetti, hey, man, I'm okay with you laughing.
00:39:34
Speaker 1: That's why we don't do those things. That's why we don't get on bulls. We don't try to skateboard downstairs. We don't try to run across the street while traffic's... Nah, we don't do none of that, man.
00:39:47
Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
00:39:47
Speaker 3: I remember the one time it was a club downtown called The Attic.
00:39:53
Speaker 2: And The Attic got a stage, and the stage is up real high. Yeah. And this was during my seven and seven days. Oh, seven and seven. And I had a blackjack. And I was headlining. I had three of them.
00:40:06
Speaker 3: Ooh. I got on stage. I'm talking like that. And I did the midget joke when I spin the midget.
00:40:13
Speaker 2: Yeah. And my foot missed the stage. And I fell in the audience. Oh, you crowd surfed on accident. Hey, man. Surf boy. Did the crowd catch you? No, I fell on that table. Damn.
00:40:30
Speaker 3: Straight on that table. And everybody just gasped. And they just gasped. And they just gasped. They helped me up. They helped me up. It was just silence. And I don't even remember who finished the show.
00:40:43
Speaker 2: I don't remember. All I remember is I woke up the next morning and I was bruised.
00:40:48
Speaker 3: And I was like, what the? And the girl that took me home was like, yeah, yeah, you got drunk. And you did the little joke and you fell off stage. But I called that book of 14 times apologizing.
00:41:00
Speaker 2: And he wasn't a booker book.
00:41:02
Speaker 3: He just somebody on the club. He was like, hey, man, that's the funniest thing that's ever happened to my club.
00:41:06
Speaker 2: You all right with me, Kid Miller? You all right with me? He said the audience loved it. He said, man.
00:41:13
Speaker 3: He was actually more apologetic. He said, man, I shouldn't have been feeding you the drinks.
00:41:17
Speaker 2: One. Two, the show was long. So I'm waiting. So they got a show. You know what I mean?
00:41:23
Speaker 3: They still got a show, but I'm the headliner. It's two hours. 20 comedians done went up and finally I'm closing the show.
00:41:30
Speaker 2: I'm closing the show out.
00:41:31
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:41:32
Speaker 2: Yeah. I did. I did the Spinner Rooney. Spinner Rooney. Not Spinner Rooney.
00:41:39
Speaker 3: I did the Spinner Rooney right into the audience, bro.
00:41:42
Speaker 2: Woke up with the girl.
00:41:43
Speaker 3: I was like, well, did we do something last night at least? She said, no, you were too busy throwing up everywhere. I was going to say, yeah, you did something. Hey, you had your head in that toilet. That's where you had your head in. Yeah.
00:41:56
Speaker 2: I did something. That's something. Yeah, man.
00:41:59
Speaker 3: But I love watching people get hurt, man. So you got video and you want to send it to us, send it to us. Somebody get hurt. We'll post it on our page.
00:42:06
Speaker 2: We will post it on our page. Yeah.
00:42:09
Speaker 3: Cause I give a damn boy. I love watching people get hurt. It's my favorite.
00:42:14
Speaker 2: Thing, dog. That is funny. Well, Ken, we got about a minute and a half to go, brother.
00:42:17
Speaker 1: Where are you going to be performing next so these good people can come out and support you?
00:42:21

00:11:15

00:11:49

00:17:54
Speaker 1: And I'm going to leave it at that. You never know what Miguel's up to. It might be illegal in two states, but hey.

00:20:30
Speaker 2: And all that and all that. So, you know, you know, we Gen X's be bro. We different. We different.
00:20:36
Speaker 3: Yeah. We different than a mug, bro. We was working at like 10. We just wanted our own money, our own freedom. We wanted to do whatever we want. Because for us to get money and go buy an outfit. To go buy an outfit, bro. Y'all, let me tell y'all something. For us to go make some money and go to City Trends or Burlington Coat Factory.
00:21:04
Speaker 2: Or go to Burlington Coat Factory....
00:21:08
Speaker 3: You know, some place, some dealers, some place to have, we call it, y'all, y'all, we call it urban wear.
00:21:13
Speaker 2: Yes, we do.
00:21:14
Stop.
00:21:40
00:40:43
