Have you ever wondered what would happen if you gave up your smartphone and computer, not for a day but for six whole weeks, in the middle of a tech-saturated city like San Francisco?
In this episode, we are joined by Colin Parsons, a software engineer who stepped away from the digital world to see what life feels like without screens. What began as an experiment quickly became a journey of unraveling habits, confronting boredom, and rediscovering presence. For Colin, time offline mirrored a psychedelic journey: disorienting at first, then expansive, and ultimately transformative.
We explore what it means to live without constant connection, the parallels between psychedelic experiences and digital detox, and the surprising ways that slowness and boredom can open up new forms of creativity and growth. Colin also shares his perspective on how AI and technology are shaping our future and how we might navigate those shifts with more awareness.
This thought-provoking conversation is for anyone drawn to the overlap between psychedelics and technology, and how both shape the way we connect with ourselves and others.
