Welcome the episode #20!
My guest today is Jerad Armijo, also known as “Away I Flew”. Jerad lives in New Mexico and shoots landscapes like you have never seen before. Seriously. His photographs are like abstract paintings, often with a pastel color palette, and soft light. But there’s an unseen chord that strings these visuals together – Synesthesia, Jerad’s secret superpower. His camera doesn’t just capture landscapes; it explores the unvoiced rhythm of nature, drawing out a harmony that lies hidden in the everyday view.

"Misfit," a piece featured on Super Rare, which Jerad describes as a warm, happy piece that reflects his acceptance of being a misfit, with a colorful array of puzzled pieces shaping his circular soul1.
"Bloom," a single exposure shot that defies the common assumption about composite photography, showcasing Jerad's skill in painting with color to create abstract landscapes.
