ANGELS POSTCAST: Yusei Kikuchi STRUGGLES as Halos fail to sweep Seattle Mariners in 7-2 Loss

Yusei Kikuchi's command struggles and costly walks overshadowed the Los Angeles Angels' shot at a series sweep, resulting in a 7-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Gavin Carlson highlights Kikuchi's inconsistent outing, raising questions about his role as a rotation mainstay despite being one of the roster's highest-paid arms. The first segment examines whether Kikuchi's recent stretch and advancing age could spell trouble for the Angels' pitching plans in the upcoming season.

Carlson then spotlights the offense, where Denzer Guzman delivered a standout 4-for-5 performance but was let down by the Angels' inability to convert chances—stranding 14 runners while going just 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. The discussion also recognizes Mo Ballesteros’ hot streak, but underscores how missed opportunities and rally-killing outs from hitters like Jose Siri and Christian Moore prevented the Angels’ solid at-bats from turning into a comeback. Can the Angels find the balance needed as they push to avoid 100 losses?
