Entrepreneur, marketer, and founder of Big Appetite, Jenna Davies, was just 27 years old when she received the phone call no child ever wants to hear: “Jenna, your mum is dead.”
In this episode, Jenna opens up about navigating immense loss through the uncertainty of the pandemic, the emotional chaos that followed, and how structure, therapy, discipline, and self-awareness became the foundation that slowly helped her rebuild herself.
Together, Geoff and Jenna explore grief, anxiety, entrepreneurship, spirituality, AI, burnout, and the pressure so many people feel to keep performing while silently struggling underneath it all.
Jenna shares how years of achievement and external success still couldn’t shield her from disconnection and unresolved pain — and why learning to slow down, trust herself, and reconnect to what actually mattered changed the trajectory of her life.
The conversation also dives into the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence, the future of work and creativity, and why human connection, intuition, and authenticity may become more important than ever in the years ahead.
Jenna also recounts surviving meningococcal disease overseas and being placed into an induced coma over Christmas in London — an experience that profoundly shifted the way she views ambition, health, and purpose.
This episode is a conversation about grief, resilience, identity, and learning how to rebuild yourself after life completely changes.
