The chants are back, the double headers delivered, and Thunder have made a very loud statement.
This week on Here If You Need - The Netball Pod, Emily and Nia talk through the final double header of the season in Liverpool, the atmosphere in the arena, and whether the NSL should do more of them.
We also get into the Malaysian Netball Super League, Laura Langman and Gretel Bueta’s appearance for Johor Jewels, and what that kind of investment could mean for the world game.
Plus, Emily talks about athletes returning to elite sport after pregnancy, including Paige Hadley, Gretel Bueta and Nat Metcalf, and why those comeback timelines are incredible but should not be seen as normal.
On court, we break down Panthers’ impressive first half against Loughborough, Forest’s huge win over Mavericks, Dragons edging Rhinos, and Thunder’s dominant performance against Pulse.
We also discuss:
- Why Panthers can take confidence from their best performance yet
- Forest all but securing fourth
- Dragons and Rhinos being so evenly matched
- Whether Pulse missed Alicia Scholes
- Thunder peaking at the right time
- The finals format
- Nia Knows
- Round 12 predictions
Here If You Need is hosted by Emily Wilson and Nia Jones - an independent netball podcast saying what everyone else is thinking. Keep the chants coming in (Nia might sing yours next week).
