In this episode of frankly..., Rachel and Dan sit down with Taylor Mae, founder, event strategist, community builder and creative entrepreneur, to talk about the magic of gathering, the power of intuition, and how Detroit’s creative ecosystem is thriving.
Taylor shares her journey from choreographing neighborhood shows in her childhood garage to Hosting CreativeMornings/Detroit, launching Permission Group and now her newest project, Creatively Detroit, a lifestyle brand that celebrates the city’s creative frequency.
We talk about the importance of building events that create belonging, what it takes to operationalize creativity, how Michigan Central is becoming a world-class venue for connection, and why sometimes you just need to launch — even when it’s not perfect.
Whether you’re a founder, community builder, or someone with a whisper of an idea you haven’t acted on yet, this episode will inspire you to trust yourself and start.
