While a lot of niche titles have found success with not just a new audience, but the ability to play these niche games online. And some even get side tournament play at major FGC events. However, there is one franchise that was important to the transition to 3D fighting games as well as the one of the first console exclusive fighting games. Battle Arena Toshinden was the first fighting game published and released for the Sony PlayStation.
