Casting Dresden PT 2

Send us Fan Mail

Jen and Dagda continue their passionate dream casting of The Dresden Files live-action series! Part 2 dives deep into fan-favorite characters including the perfect Waldo Butters (spoiler: they both agree on Daniel Radcliffe!), debating Karen Murphy and Susan Rodriguez, and getting into heated disagreements over Nicodemus casting.

The hosts discuss honoring James Marsters (audiobook narrator) and Paul Blackthorne (original TV series star) with roles in the new adaptation, debate the merits of various actors for Molly Carpenter and Lara Raith, and imagine John Stamos as the lecherous Lord Raith. Expect tangents about Game of Thrones, series conclusions, and why this adaptation could rival HBO's biggest fantasy hit.

Whether you're a 20-year Dresden Files veteran or new to Jim Butcher's magical world, this episode delivers laughs, debates, and dream casting gold. Plus: why Henry Cavill MUST be in this series, the importance of getting Bigfoot right, and imagining Harry Potter screaming about polka music.
