In this episode of the eTech49 Podcast, Ryan Maughan is joined by Dr Steve Lambert, Chief Technology Officer at Protean Electric, a pioneer in in-wheel motor technology for electric vehicles.
We start by disucssing Steve's career journey, how he became involved in engineering ultra high performance electric vehicle powertrain for in Formula 1 and some other great experiences leading up to his move to Protean developing and scaling the production of state-of-the-art in-wheel motor technology.
Steve then shares his deep insights into the evolution of electric powertrains, the unique challenges of in-wheel motors and how Protean is helping to push the boundaries of vehicle architecture, efficiency and e-mobility and is now finding commercial success with major automotive OEM's.
