What Could Have Been: Groundhog Day

What if Groundhog Day had a completely different ending—or an actual explanation for the time loop? From the original dark script and a deleted “jilted lover curse” origin, to the real-life fallout between Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, this is the behind-the-scenes story of how the film almost turned out very differently. Featuring scrapped ideas, alternate casting with Tom Hanks, and the infamous Murray vs Ramis feud, this is what Groundhog Day was originally supposed to be.
