Beyond Synth - 450 - Catching Up With Betamaxx

This episode of Beyond Synth catches up with OG scene mainstay Betamaxx, aka Nick Morey, for a loose, funny, and reflective conversation about how much has changed since his earliest appearances on the show. What starts as a trip down memory lane turns into a wide-ranging talk about aging, creative momentum, old-school radio frustration, scene identity, social media burnout, and how the excitement around synthwave shifted after the pandemic. Along the way,
Betamaxx talks about recent and upcoming music, collaborations with FM Attack and Michael Weber, the possibility of playing live again, and finding fresh inspiration through a strange Soviet-era Russian synthesizer,
