In this episode of Better in Bucharest, we explore one of life’s most difficult questions: If God is all-powerful and loving, why does suffering exist?
Our guest is Dr. Robert Koons, professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, a leading Christian thinker known for his work on metaphysics, the philosophy of religion, and the interface between faith and reason. With clarity, wisdom, and deep compassion, Dr. Koons walks us through a theological and philosophical journey into the heart of the problem of suffering.
From reflections on free will and the nature of evil to the hope of redemption through Christ, this episode offers a powerful and thoughtful framework for understanding how pain fits into God’s larger story—and what it means for us today.
Whether you’re a believer facing doubt, a skeptic seeking answers, or someone simply navigating your own suffering, this episode will challenge and encourage you.
Topics include:
- Why God didn’t create a world without pain
