Four guests canceled. Hours before a show about problem solving, Master Happiness had a real problem on his hands. So Marty Jalove solved it. Live.
His answer was already in the building. Jill, a returning guest with ten minutes' notice, said "Sure," skipped dinner, and scribbled her own BACON acronym on the spot. What follows feels like two friends thinking out loud over coffee: quick laughs, honest stories, and real wisdom.
Marty pulls lessons from the debate classroom, the sales floor, and a cancer diagnosis delivered like a game show prize. Jill keeps it grounded, generous, and funny. Together they build a problem solving mindset that turns panic into a plan.
Life doesn't hand out calm, problem-free stretches. It hands out puzzles. How you solve them shapes your happiness and fulfillment, one decision at a time.
What you'll learn:
- Discover how to find the real problem hiding behind the symptom
- Learn why your first idea is the fastest one, not the best one
- Understand how a pre-mortem takes the fear out of the worst case
- Reframe repeat frustrations by solving the pattern, not the moment
- Recognize when stepping back or walking away is the smartest path to leadership and success
The BACON method for problem solving:
Break down the problem before the solution. Ask for better ideas than the first one. Consider the worst case before it happens. Observe patterns and borrow answers. Notice when to step back or step away.
