Electro House and Millennial Dance Classics collide in BackSpin 2024 Volume 3, a set focused on big club hits and festival-ready remixes from the 2005–2006 era. This installment hunts the era’s dominant Rock Dance and Electro House flavors while spotlighting key producers and remixes that defined the floor — think Jacques Lu Cont’s Thin White Duke take on The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” and Axwell’s Electro House revision of Roger Sanchez’s “Turn On the Music.”
Highlights include early David Guetta outings, Bob Sinclar’s singalong anthems like “Love Generation” and “World Hold On,” and Peter Rauhofer’s hallmark reworks for Christina Aguilera, Seal, and Nelly Furtado. Also on the mix: Freemasons’ club-ready edits for Beyoncé and Faith Evans, the Martijn Ten Velden remix of “Perfect (Exceeder),” and Cascada’s crossover hit “Everytime We Touch.” The set closes with Madonna’s “Sorry” to tie the energy together and nod to the period’s club diversity.
