What does 30 years inside the NBA teach you about pressure, decision-making, and winning at the highest level with Tommy Sheppard.

What does 30 years inside the NBA teach you about pressure, decision-making, and winning at the highest level?

In this episode of Wired to Win, we sit down with Tommy Sheppard a man who spent three decades inside NBA front offices, building teams, evaluating talent, and making decisions where one move can shift an entire franchise.

Now, he’s working with executives, leaders, and high performers—teaching them how to operate with clarity when everything is on the line.

This is not a conversation about basketball.

This is a masterclass on how elite decision-makers think under pressure.

We break down:

• What separates great talent evaluators from average ones
• How elite leaders filter noise and focus on what actually matters
• The hidden cost of hesitation in high-stakes environments
• Why most people miss opportunities that are right in front of them
• How front offices make decisions when there is no perfect data

Tommy shares real stories from inside the NBA: draft rooms, trade decisions, leadership dynamics—and translates them into principles that apply to athletes, founders, and anyone operating in high-pressure environments.

This episode connects directly to one of the most important performance concepts we’ve been breaking down:

You are not seeing reality. You are seeing what your brain allows you to see.

And at the highest level, the game is not just about making the right decision.

It is about seeing the right information: faster, clearer, and with less noise.

If you want to understand how elite leaders process the game within the game…

This episode will change how you see everything.
