Creative Curiosity with Dana Batho

Dana Batho is an artist, teacher, and veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. After a training injury ended her career as a RCAF Intelligence Officer, she returned to her artistic roots as a way to heal and help inspire others to be creative. Having recently returned to oil painting after a 15 year hiatus in addition to having to adapt her practice around her injury, Dana finds joy in creating objects of beauty that enliven others. She also specializes in vintage-inspired botanical illustrations and surface pattern designs, and spent many years designing sassy cross stitch patterns. Having exhibited her art in Canada, Japan, and also at the prestigious New Zealand Portrait Gallery, Dana now lives in Victoria, British Columbia, where the beauty surrounding her inspires her every day.
