The Ten Commandments Aren’t What You Think | From Rules to a Life with God

What if the Ten Commandments were never meant to be just a list of rules? In this episode of The Aldersgate Experience, Pastors Bob Kaylor and Jeff Markey explore Exodus 20, Matthew 21, and Philippians 3 to uncover the deeper purpose behind God’s covenant: learning to love God, love others, and become the kind of people God calls us to be. They discuss why the religious leaders “forgot they were tenants,” how Jesus becomes the rejected stone and cornerstone, and why Paul ultimately considered his religious résumé worthless compared with knowing Christ. From tablets of stone to the law written on our hearts, this conversation explores obedience, sanctification, spiritual growth, and what it means to keep pressing forward in Christ.
