Did you ever wonder what your pastor didn't say on Sunday? This is The Afterthought Show, a podcast from Canyon Ridge Baptist Church in San Diego, California, featuring hosts Zane Garza and Pastor Chris Chadwick. Inspired to help Christians walk with Jesus throughout the week, they dive into biblical truths that didn't make it into Sunday morning's expositional preaching message. In this episode, Zane and Pastor Chadwick break down Revelation 2:12-17 and the letter to the church at Pergamos, exploring what it means to be a compromised, worldly church. They unpack the reality of the two-edged sword of God's Word, the historical background of Satan's seat, and practical steps believers can take to pursue personal accountability, private worship, and holiness. They also share a helpful perspective from Burnie on avoiding distractions, recap recent football highlights, and tease an upcoming custom fountain pen project.
