"Carter McCoy is on borrowed time. The only thing that could get him to hit the road is a call for help from a friend. When that call comes in, he doesn't hesitate. Loading his dog Chester and his best friend, Ivana, into his truck, they head for California to help in a way only Carter can."
Eric Beetner joins the show to talk about his final Carter McCoy novel A Wound That Will Not Heal, which addresses contemporary political themes while maintaining noir tradition. We also discuss essential noir texts, conference recommendations for mystery writers, and the craft of editing in both film and prose and much more!
