The following podcast may contain strong language
listeners. Question is advised. Hello and
2
00:00:16.000 --> 00:00:19.399
welcome to Hallmark of Greatness. Last
Orders, the podcast where we look back
3
00:00:19.399 --> 00:00:23.399
into the films are Hallmark Favorites.
Actors and directors would rather forget that they
4
00:00:23.399 --> 00:00:27.239
were ever involved with I'm Joe and
with me as always lovely and clean.
5
00:00:27.359 --> 00:00:31.640
After escaping from the Secret Room of
Blood, It's James, I was so
6
00:00:31.760 --> 00:00:34.920
cold in there, That's what everybody
said about it. Should have put a
7
00:00:34.960 --> 00:00:40.600
top on and fresh from his police
alibi riddled trip to the deli for a
8
00:00:40.640 --> 00:00:44.799
pizza that is all onions. It's
plenty. I am managing a band of
9
00:00:44.880 --> 00:00:50.479
clowns. Bad. So if you
are follow us on Twitter at Hallmark of
10
00:00:50.520 --> 00:00:54.320
great all on words or Instagram and
Facebook at Hallmark of Greatness. If you
11
00:00:54.479 --> 00:00:57.679
have a film you think we should
watch because you hate us, send us
12
00:00:57.759 --> 00:01:00.719
an email at Hallmark great at g
mail dot com. How are we are
13
00:01:02.399 --> 00:01:04.719
brilliant? You're on holiday soon?
Well, I'm on I am. I'm
14
00:01:04.760 --> 00:01:08.879
I'm going on a on a big
metal bird. But I had a brilliant
15
00:01:08.959 --> 00:01:18.879
sky. I'm going on that big
golden one to the golden Cities of Yeah.
16
00:01:19.239 --> 00:01:22.120
All before your time. James,
Yeah, no, no, nothing
17
00:01:22.120 --> 00:01:25.959
of this, No, I just
yea. I hope you're going somewhere warm
18
00:01:26.040 --> 00:01:27.840
so that you don't actually have to, you know, burn money all the
19
00:01:27.879 --> 00:01:33.680
time. Yeah, I am,
but unfortunately I burned money on the holiday.
20
00:01:33.719 --> 00:01:38.519
So is that cost deficient? Let's
find out shaved all the dog's hair
21
00:01:38.560 --> 00:01:45.719
off and have woven it into a
blanket grows back very quickly. Right,
22
00:01:45.920 --> 00:01:49.400
let's do this week's film. It's
a good one for what. Yeah,
23
00:01:49.400 --> 00:02:06.159
it's got something going for it.
Night three's endgame are its original Titan endgame
24
00:02:06.319 --> 00:02:15.639
Bronx A Lot of Finale, which
I'm assuming means the final Bronx. Yeah,
25
00:02:15.680 --> 00:02:22.080
Bronx Final Fight. Ah yeah,
man if if Mick Hag, Mick
26
00:02:22.159 --> 00:02:28.039
Hagger, the mayor of Metro City
came out. Um, James, fire
27
00:02:28.199 --> 00:02:30.879
up the machine. Yeah. So
we've got this random plot generator that's driven
28
00:02:30.960 --> 00:02:36.080
by you, the fans, and
it's decided today that it's called the Mecca
29
00:02:36.159 --> 00:02:39.599
Storyline Droid of Logic. It says
it's had to look at endgame Bronx A
30
00:02:39.599 --> 00:02:44.240
Lot of Finale, and it's come
up with Sandra. Endgame is a rural
31
00:02:44.360 --> 00:02:47.759
baby shower planner who must battle rival
martial artists on Fight Island or else,
32
00:02:47.840 --> 00:02:52.719
you will face unknown numbers of intruders
on her property. Along the way,
33
00:02:53.039 --> 00:02:57.479
Sandra encounters Raymond Rugg, a singer
of Sweet Sweet Melodies who doubles as a
34
00:02:57.520 --> 00:03:00.879
drummer in a skifful band. Things
get going when an asteroid hits planet Earth,
35
00:03:01.000 --> 00:03:05.159
and the unlikely duo must work together. Will they come out of this
36
00:03:05.319 --> 00:03:09.240
financially secure to some extent? Yes? An unknown amount of intruders is the
37
00:03:09.360 --> 00:03:15.719
worst amount of intruders? Ye have, don't. That's kind of inspired by
38
00:03:15.800 --> 00:03:19.919
Empire of the Dark. The other
bit that I saw sort of leachd in
39
00:03:20.039 --> 00:03:23.719
from previous episodes is the Fight Island. I think the island is blood Sport
40
00:03:23.800 --> 00:03:25.840
to blood Fist two. Yeah,
good fist too. Sorry not blood Sport,
41
00:03:27.599 --> 00:03:30.039
yes, yes, I think shitter
yeah in the Philippines, and you're
42
00:03:30.080 --> 00:03:35.560
there. Blood Fist two is a
masterpiece, much better. That's where That's
43
00:03:35.560 --> 00:03:38.599
where we got the polls, all
the poll facts. Yeah, it's good.
44
00:03:38.680 --> 00:03:40.960
It's good. Ship. It must
be somewhere more street than I feel.
45
00:03:42.199 --> 00:03:46.479
The actual synopsis, A telepathic mutant
recruits a post World War three TV
46
00:03:46.759 --> 00:03:52.159
game show warrior to lead her band
of mutants to safety. There's a lot
47
00:03:52.159 --> 00:03:57.319
of hyphens in that, and a
lot of too futuristic. The best bit
48
00:03:57.520 --> 00:04:01.479
is the tagline on the actual post
as an end game champion in the year
49
00:04:02.719 --> 00:04:10.199
There's only one way to live dangerously
and I'm based on this film, everything
50
00:04:10.319 --> 00:04:17.160
is dangerous? Do thou want to
live dangerously? I mean I loved this,
51
00:04:17.439 --> 00:04:20.600
to be fair, I liked this
because it reminded me of films I
52
00:04:20.720 --> 00:04:25.720
love. Yeah, it was like
a low budget version of other films.
53
00:04:25.920 --> 00:04:30.600
Yeah, all filmed in what appears
to be an abandoned milk bottle processing.
54
00:04:31.279 --> 00:04:35.240
I didn't expect them to go into
a room somewhere and they be Fallout style
55
00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:41.360
turrets for them to read stories of
what happened to the previous owners. No,
56
00:04:41.439 --> 00:04:45.480
hope, none of that. Just
lots and lots of quarry based actions.
57
00:04:46.319 --> 00:04:49.560
You know. I love a quarry
in a film. We open up
58
00:04:50.600 --> 00:04:57.240
with two did I write them down? And was laughing of the production companies?
59
00:04:57.439 --> 00:05:00.199
Oh yeah, one of them's film
arrage, which is good. That's
60
00:05:00.240 --> 00:05:04.920
because it fills me with rage or
that filmy rage that you get out of
61
00:05:04.959 --> 00:05:09.920
there. These titles look like threads. Didn't it look like a much more
62
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:14.120
serious film. Well it was over
explosion in the background, over a big
63
00:05:14.199 --> 00:05:17.759
mushroom cloudy. Also, music in
this is cracking. It's like someone watched
64
00:05:17.800 --> 00:05:20.519
The Warriors and then when I'm going
to get hit in the head a lot
65
00:05:20.560 --> 00:05:24.959
with a cricket bat and then try
and recreate that. That's the sweet sound
66
00:05:25.000 --> 00:05:30.120
of Carlo Maria Cordio on a Chroma
road synthesizer. I've been told, yeah,
67
00:05:30.639 --> 00:05:33.439
yeah, he did do a brilliant
job. I have no qualms about
68
00:05:33.519 --> 00:05:38.560
the music. It was great.
One bit. I think where they were
69
00:05:38.639 --> 00:05:44.519
driving the Bedford Rascal off it went
a bit and I was like, it's
70
00:05:44.519 --> 00:05:48.120
supposed to be a serious film of
the future here, but we are introduced
71
00:05:48.199 --> 00:05:53.959
to a city. Yes, it's
the Bronx, but it doesn't say that.
72
00:05:54.079 --> 00:05:56.759
It never says it's the Bronx because
it isn't the Bronx. Is that
73
00:05:56.879 --> 00:06:04.040
the titles around the world confirmed it's
an announcers though that it's so not much
74
00:06:04.120 --> 00:06:08.600
longer to go, and actually I
think we are about seventy five of the
75
00:06:08.680 --> 00:06:14.439
way towards the nuclear winter that it
envisages. Yeah, but it also says
76
00:06:14.560 --> 00:06:19.639
that the end Game tournament started in
But this is the one. So do
77
00:06:19.720 --> 00:06:25.480
they do like leap years. Yeah, there's like a winter summer sort of
78
00:06:25.519 --> 00:06:30.680
style Olympics, like Winter end game
and then Summer end game and then Champion
79
00:06:30.720 --> 00:06:39.040
of Champions. It's like and we're
told that the end game. Well,
80
00:06:39.079 --> 00:06:42.439
no, we're sorry. We come
across some mutants. I thought it was
81
00:06:42.439 --> 00:06:46.399
an old chrone. Everyone in this
film who was a mutant looks like a
82
00:06:46.480 --> 00:06:51.639
Russian babushka. Yeah, it makes
weird craven noises. Yeah, scuttling around,
83
00:06:51.680 --> 00:06:57.199
it's brilliant. There's this there's this
tasty looking corpse. Isn't that that's
84
00:06:57.240 --> 00:07:00.040
quite blately just a dummy and these
two, these two people grab it and
85
00:07:00.160 --> 00:07:03.000
pull it, pull it aside,
and in the next shot it's it's a
86
00:07:03.120 --> 00:07:06.079
human. It's an actor, and
it looks nothing like it. And I
87
00:07:06.279 --> 00:07:11.560
was question mark alive. I thought
that because they were knocking rats off it
88
00:07:11.759 --> 00:07:15.040
like left, right and center,
and then the next minute I thought they
89
00:07:15.079 --> 00:07:19.079
were eating it. But then yeah, and it was moving. I was
90
00:07:19.120 --> 00:07:27.839
giggling. The rats were very wet. It was very much. It gave
91
00:07:27.920 --> 00:07:31.439
me give me feelings of a really
annoying little child in a fucking plague tail
92
00:07:31.519 --> 00:07:36.079
game. I thought you'd been activating
like a Manchurian candidate though, were very
93
00:07:36.160 --> 00:07:43.680
wet. Yeah. Please. Fan
rocks up at this point looking for mutants,
94
00:07:43.720 --> 00:07:47.480
and they've got a special mutants scanner
says. This fan looked like it
95
00:07:47.600 --> 00:07:53.800
was made out of Pickford boxes,
and again I was like, why are
96
00:07:53.839 --> 00:07:58.360
they driving around in an ice cream
van? They were very proud of that.
97
00:07:59.279 --> 00:08:03.439
They got it into almost every shot
that the s S Security Services turn
98
00:08:03.519 --> 00:08:07.600
up it. How did they get
that through SS? It was Italy?
99
00:08:11.720 --> 00:08:18.199
I mean nothing changed topical and they've
all got big leather trench. I mean
100
00:08:18.439 --> 00:08:22.160
it's not actual leather, but they've
got big planet coats and they've got masks
101
00:08:22.279 --> 00:08:26.680
on. They see two of those
pariahs run out for no reason and then
102
00:08:26.720 --> 00:08:33.960
get shot, and then a heroine
Lilith, Lilith of the medieval Quite headband.
103
00:08:35.240 --> 00:08:39.799
Yeah, just looks this. I
mean this, this mutant detected gun
104
00:08:39.279 --> 00:08:43.879
very limited ranges off that day,
need to slip about a bit onside and
105
00:08:43.679 --> 00:08:48.279
sent them to a concrete and the
whole thing falls apart. They run off.
106
00:08:48.840 --> 00:08:56.480
The police officers had very big Have
you played um we happy few No,
107
00:08:56.639 --> 00:08:58.720
I've watched a bit of a playthrough
on it. It gave big vibes
108
00:08:58.759 --> 00:09:03.879
of obviously it isn't. But yeah, they chase his mutes down and then
109
00:09:03.919 --> 00:09:07.200
they shoot them. The line he
uses is we don't have anything to fear
110
00:09:07.279 --> 00:09:13.080
from them except contamination, which could
kill you, so surely you should be
111
00:09:13.320 --> 00:09:16.679
fearful of them. I also like
this class of the pariahs. There's a
112
00:09:16.759 --> 00:09:20.440
lot of world building in the first
third right that. Then it goes completely
113
00:09:20.519 --> 00:09:26.879
unheeded for the worry about it later
to a lot of brons too mucho mucho
114
00:09:26.960 --> 00:09:31.840
bronx. Yeah, so we're introduced
at this point, announcement says that it's
115
00:09:31.879 --> 00:09:37.240
the end game. It sort of
cuts to Ron Shannon, who is the
116
00:09:37.279 --> 00:09:41.720
twenty two season long winners. He
said, and non union David Harbor,
117
00:09:43.480 --> 00:09:48.480
have you got one? I didn't. I was too busy just writing down
118
00:09:48.480 --> 00:09:50.240
because I was very pleased with myself. He's painting his face because he's in
119
00:09:50.279 --> 00:09:54.480
the names. It's some kind of
unspoken rule that we've got that this is
120
00:09:54.519 --> 00:09:58.399
what we do now. It's the
future. So you've got to put makeup
121
00:09:58.440 --> 00:10:01.399
on, like because when you go
to the scary bar later, everyone's got
122
00:10:01.519 --> 00:10:09.159
makeup on? Was run Shannon not
a Dell Shannon your things. I was
123
00:10:09.159 --> 00:10:15.159
actually thinking of a wrestler, but
okay, oh yeah, that sounds about
124
00:10:15.279 --> 00:10:18.200
right, and he is the So, from what I can grasp, end
125
00:10:18.320 --> 00:10:24.759
game, right is one person is
on the lamb is running and the other
126
00:10:24.879 --> 00:10:26.840
three people are trying to find them
and kill them. So it's sort of
127
00:10:26.919 --> 00:10:31.559
like Running Man. It's exactly like
Running Man. And also the hinter Lands
128
00:10:31.600 --> 00:10:39.440
a shadow kingdom that can only sustain
a provost or deny it. It's all
129
00:10:39.600 --> 00:10:43.480
like made up stuff like that,
but there's people involved in that. Yeah,
130
00:10:43.519 --> 00:10:46.159
there's a three hundred people in the
league, but that wasn't very clear
131
00:10:46.200 --> 00:10:50.799
at this point. And they're each
given one firearm and then two other weapons,
132
00:10:50.840 --> 00:10:56.159
and if you're found with another weapon, you're disqualified. Yeah, if
133
00:10:56.200 --> 00:11:00.039
you're being hunted, you can hide, hide, No, you can and
134
00:11:00.159 --> 00:11:03.879
yourself in, but you lose points. You have to go for undiscovered for
135
00:11:03.960 --> 00:11:07.600
six hours and then you can hand
yourself in. It's so confusing, but
136
00:11:07.720 --> 00:11:09.440
you don't get any of the loot
for doing that. The loot is that
137
00:11:09.519 --> 00:11:13.799
the other people putting the hunters put
in I guess, so yeah, yeah,
138
00:11:13.960 --> 00:11:16.879
so they are betting against the fact
that you're gonna they're betting on themselves.
139
00:11:18.039 --> 00:11:22.559
Really Yeah, but it was just
very strange. But so del Shannon
140
00:11:22.080 --> 00:11:26.320
has has has has got his pistol, his trust, these cities about to
141
00:11:26.399 --> 00:11:31.399
run away. Yeah, he's got
a whip Indiana Jones style, and he's
142
00:11:31.440 --> 00:11:35.559
got like a boot knife. It's
a cool guy. He's got cool like
143
00:11:37.080 --> 00:11:39.919
new rock goth boots on. I
quite want a pair of them, because
144
00:11:39.919 --> 00:11:45.679
they like you're in Ramstid stomping them
out with them and we're introduced to the
145
00:11:45.840 --> 00:11:50.679
other hunters. Oh my right.
And I like the names. I like
146
00:11:50.840 --> 00:11:56.080
the fact that all get to like
get changed in a bull's eye winning Carolans.
147
00:11:58.360 --> 00:12:01.480
Yeah, his opponents. Woody old
Ridge is the first one. He's
148
00:12:01.519 --> 00:12:07.039
the one that's dressed like a dragon
lord from fucking sky Rim. Yeah.
149
00:12:07.080 --> 00:12:11.240
I called him Alan Featherboy Jones.
That's a good game. It quickly turned
150
00:12:11.279 --> 00:12:13.440
out that it didn't matter that I
named any of these. The last one
151
00:12:13.480 --> 00:12:18.159
who I put the most effort into
the end game is very quickly over.
152
00:12:18.519 --> 00:12:24.399
That's that's Arnold Vishlu from from the
Mummy and Die dark Man, Die the
153
00:12:24.639 --> 00:12:30.200
dark Man. Next up, we've
got gate Man tracks. I've just put
154
00:12:30.519 --> 00:12:37.600
Deadly John Denver. I've put Kung
Fu Cliff Richard. I've got Booty Eizard
155
00:12:37.639 --> 00:12:43.159
because he reminded me a little bit
of Ed. He is a martial arts
156
00:12:43.240 --> 00:12:46.480
expert. I remember. That doesn't
matter, No, it does not matter.
157
00:12:46.399 --> 00:12:52.879
Oh, Gabe man tracks. It
sounds like one of Jeremy's fucking Jeremy
158
00:12:52.919 --> 00:12:56.919
and Superhands is made up man names. And then, last, but not
159
00:12:58.120 --> 00:13:01.960
least, we've got Kurt Karnak Chris
Rea. Yeah, I'm having that.
160
00:13:03.000 --> 00:13:07.159
I went with swarthy leathers and I've
stuck with that throughout. I actually had
161
00:13:07.200 --> 00:13:11.559
to just double check on Google that
it was okay to use the term swarthy,
162
00:13:11.759 --> 00:13:16.720
and I think we're in the clip
doesn't feel like it should be swarthy.
163
00:13:16.759 --> 00:13:18.399
He's fine, Yeah, yeah,
it's fine, it's fine. I've
164
00:13:18.440 --> 00:13:22.759
never heard it used it. I
will say that, like if he is
165
00:13:22.799 --> 00:13:26.120
supposed to be that he was.
He was builled as the number one book.
166
00:13:26.159 --> 00:13:28.840
He's odds book, his favorite to
win. Yeah. All his gear
167
00:13:28.879 --> 00:13:33.080
looked very new though, Like his
leather jacket like was was pristine by the
168
00:13:33.200 --> 00:13:39.440
leather warehouse. Yeah. Maybe he's
just doing so well that he money to
169
00:13:39.039 --> 00:13:43.519
get gear. He's been he's been
entreated yourself to some fine leather goods.
170
00:13:46.799 --> 00:13:52.000
I thought that the game begins.
Yeah, Shannon does a little run because
171
00:13:52.080 --> 00:13:56.879
used to pray. The guy checks
all the guns as well. There's one
172
00:13:56.919 --> 00:13:58.679
guy who's like, yeah, that's
very god and just passes them back to
173
00:13:58.759 --> 00:14:05.440
them either way. This host of
this of this telecast, non union,
174
00:14:05.039 --> 00:14:11.240

182
00:14:50.720 --> 00:14:56.960
you have one already on. Finally, what is going on with this meeting
183
00:14:56.000 --> 00:15:01.759
on the Death Star? By the
way, the this these old men having
184
00:15:01.799 --> 00:15:03.279
a meeting on the Death starf you're
part of tricks. Don't depress me,
185
00:15:03.399 --> 00:15:07.919
Lord Vader. It was I didn't
understand because I like, the end game
186
00:15:07.960 --> 00:15:11.879
has started now, so no one
will notice what I thought they were going
187
00:15:11.919 --> 00:15:16.960
to do something? Yeah, was
it they think was when they went and
188
00:15:16.080 --> 00:15:20.039
murdered all the poor people? Yeah, what their plan was? Because I
189
00:15:20.279 --> 00:15:24.120
couldn't figure it out. That's the
only thing I could think of was because
190
00:15:24.159 --> 00:15:31.320
they all far too old to get
out of those chairs. So pretty much
191
00:15:31.600 --> 00:15:35.200
so that the plan is that they're
going to go away and murder all of
192
00:15:35.320 --> 00:15:41.000
the poor people. And the basically
it's the Tory Party conference. Yes,
193
00:15:41.799 --> 00:15:48.000
let's date this any Tory Party conference. You can listen to this when they
194
00:15:48.000 --> 00:15:56.559
don't exist in two years. So
well, el Shannon Christopher Lambert is running
195
00:15:56.639 --> 00:16:00.240
through this one set that they've got, which I'm fairly sure it's from blood
196
00:16:00.279 --> 00:16:06.159
Fist as well. It looks like
the whare that that first opening bit these
197
00:16:06.399 --> 00:16:10.840
bad bastards the police basically because these
people are mutants, they're just poor,
198
00:16:11.480 --> 00:16:15.320
so they just like they just massacre
them. Yeah, this woman screams before
199
00:16:15.360 --> 00:16:18.840
they kick the door through, which
is really impressive. But then you realize
200
00:16:18.879 --> 00:16:22.679
that at least one of them is
probably knows it's coming. She could be
201
00:16:22.759 --> 00:16:29.840
a mutant telepath she could, Yeah, because don't they telepathy? Like Damien
202
00:16:29.919 --> 00:16:33.799
from the Omen is one of them. Yeah. Literally, the only ability
203
00:16:33.879 --> 00:16:37.960
they share is the ability to make
a medieval soup kitchen, which explains the
204
00:16:38.039 --> 00:16:42.720
heads bands. Yeah, all the
sort of lady in waiting hats that they're
205
00:16:42.759 --> 00:16:45.799
wearing. And a little bit later
on, the child's going to lift a
206
00:16:47.279 --> 00:16:48.960
X wing out of a swamp.
Oh could you know? He wouldn't and
207
00:16:48.960 --> 00:16:52.519
then he just throw it at someone. He's got a taste for blood,
208
00:16:52.559 --> 00:16:59.559
now, is mat Yeah? The
police murder all these people. What was
209
00:16:59.600 --> 00:17:03.279
he called. Jimmy Feathers Finds,
finds Del Shannon. They have a fight.
210
00:17:03.640 --> 00:17:07.960
They're shooting guns at each other from
like behind bins two ms away,
211
00:17:07.960 --> 00:17:14.000
and they run out of Spicy Club
and he's like this badass sort of spike
212
00:17:14.039 --> 00:17:15.119
with the nail in it. Yeah, yeah, planking with the nail in
213
00:17:15.200 --> 00:17:19.960
it. It looks like like if
a serial killer went on Scrappy Challenge.
214
00:17:21.960 --> 00:17:23.839
It's what they make. Robert the
Welling going, that's that's not a hot
215
00:17:25.000 --> 00:17:29.640
craft. And they have this fight
and he swings it and he ends up
216
00:17:29.720 --> 00:17:33.279
killing Jimmy Feathers swings it over the
top and Shannon stink around the back,
217
00:17:33.359 --> 00:17:37.960
stabs him. One hunter down and
he pulls the knife out and there's no
218
00:17:37.160 --> 00:17:41.000
blood on it. No, yeah, there is blood in this film,
219
00:17:41.039 --> 00:17:45.480
but yeah, they only when they
remember to put it in. And then
220
00:17:45.519 --> 00:17:49.400
his booty yerards to the second one. He jumps down, shouting ha ha,
221
00:17:51.359 --> 00:17:55.000
kicks him about a bit. Oh
wait, just shooting. This kicking
222
00:17:55.119 --> 00:18:00.480
scene right goes on for ages.
I was watching and it went on and
223
00:18:00.720 --> 00:18:07.119
on, like evil Bill Gates just
really loves kicking people. He also does
224
00:18:07.279 --> 00:18:11.839
one of the best karate moves ever
where he springs back and then springs forward
225
00:18:11.920 --> 00:18:15.519
and kicks him like up her head, and I was like, that's impractical
226
00:18:15.599 --> 00:18:19.359
at best, isn't It was a
karate chop a bit later, which I
227
00:18:19.480 --> 00:18:22.960
really like that. That was straight
out of Star Trek. That was Shannon's
228
00:18:22.960 --> 00:18:30.319
preferred execution method for a while.
This but this, this is like a
229
00:18:30.480 --> 00:18:36.200
five six minute sequence of him just
booting him to fuck where Shannon is nearly
230
00:18:36.240 --> 00:18:38.079
dead and he goes up to him
and then it's time for even more booting
231
00:18:38.160 --> 00:18:41.799
him. Yeah. Well he boats
him, boots and boots him, and
232
00:18:41.839 --> 00:18:45.640
then he's goes to strangle him,
and Shannon, being the wily old sea
233
00:18:45.759 --> 00:18:51.079
dog that he is possibly pretends to
be injured, plays possum and then springs
234
00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:55.480
up, and then the kicking is
reversed and we get another five minutes of
235
00:18:55.599 --> 00:19:00.440
Shannon kicking fucking John Denver's facing.
I don't know why, Like it just
236
00:19:00.559 --> 00:19:04.279
felt we've got ten minutes to fill. Should we do like some choreographed fight
237
00:19:04.400 --> 00:19:08.279
sequences. We'll do that bit now
where we put the camera there and have
238
00:19:08.400 --> 00:19:11.200
him kick at the camera. So
it's like a p o V stort of
239
00:19:11.240 --> 00:19:15.519
thing, which I like because it's
you know, it's tested. It works.
240
00:19:17.559 --> 00:19:19.720
My problem with all of this is
that it was in within about twenty
241
00:19:19.759 --> 00:19:23.799
square meters of the same industrial setting. It did have a nice backdrop that
242
00:19:23.839 --> 00:19:30.119
said no credit. I don't know
if they wrote if it was just already
243
00:19:30.160 --> 00:19:33.920
there, but all supposed to take
over all the end game happens over like
244
00:19:34.079 --> 00:19:38.240
one block by that. Yeah,
I thought it was going to be this
245
00:19:38.400 --> 00:19:45.279
fast labyrinth then like a Running Man
style situation stopping them all ganging up together
246
00:19:45.400 --> 00:19:48.160
and tweating. You don't get the
credits. Then they'd have to turn on
247
00:19:49.440 --> 00:19:52.920
killing. The hunters can't kill each
other, can they. That's not in
248
00:19:52.960 --> 00:19:59.720
the guard, but the night something
if you know the egg is blue right
249
00:19:59.759 --> 00:20:04.119
to let us like the official end
game rules. I do see this coming
250
00:20:04.160 --> 00:20:08.400
to BBC next year with Paddy McGinnis
hosting it. Yeah, Danny Dyer,
251
00:20:11.079 --> 00:20:18.319
Danny Dyer's end game muse slags.
It would be great field with a big
252
00:20:18.440 --> 00:20:27.400
thing in the background. Become prey
for coins, wanking for coins, climbing
253
00:20:27.440 --> 00:20:34.440
for dollars. But yes, so
he murders John Denver and then Kirk Karnak
254
00:20:34.960 --> 00:20:41.200
strolls around the carnus shouting away He's
got Shannon, Shannon, come on,
255
00:20:41.559 --> 00:20:47.160
Shannon, and I'm like, just
dog, is he easy? Looking for
256
00:20:47.240 --> 00:20:52.440
a little girl that's been hidden under
a bed in West York? Shanon,
257
00:20:52.720 --> 00:21:00.200
come on, Niche references there Yorkshire
based crimes. Yeah, he actually is.
258
00:21:00.240 --> 00:21:04.000
Just to get him trapped in another
subcomplex of this very tiny area,
259
00:21:04.240 --> 00:21:07.640
and Shannon runs into it. He
does another little bit of a run and
260
00:21:07.839 --> 00:21:12.319
Lilas is there and announces that he's
in a bit of a trap and she
261
00:21:12.559 --> 00:21:19.200
can help because she's psychic and apparently
psychic works both ways. Yeah, which
262
00:21:19.279 --> 00:21:23.079
I don't think that's true, is
it? Like no other psychic in cinema
263
00:21:23.160 --> 00:21:26.720
has ever been like. It works
like a walkie talky over. It leads
264
00:21:26.759 --> 00:21:32.000
to some wonderful bit of dialogue because
then swarthy Leathers comes in and does a
265
00:21:32.039 --> 00:21:34.799
little nod like this, because she's
still stood there and don't who you are?
266
00:21:36.640 --> 00:21:41.160
Which is visible? Could she make
herself go invisible? Because why would
267
00:21:41.160 --> 00:21:44.079
they? You have just killed her
anywhere because he's not there to kill her.
268
00:21:44.720 --> 00:21:48.000
No, he doesn't get any money
out of that. Again, maybe
269
00:21:48.039 --> 00:21:52.799
you're not allowed to do collateral damage. But he's doing a hide somewhere I
270
00:21:52.839 --> 00:21:56.720
can't see where. And she says
to him telepathically, he has death in
271
00:21:56.799 --> 00:21:59.920
his mind, your death. And
then he goes, are you a muse?
272
00:22:00.680 --> 00:22:07.039
And she goes yes, And you've
got like the dead pan faces as
273
00:22:07.160 --> 00:22:10.720
that's that thought has just played.
It's probably because none of these people can
274
00:22:10.799 --> 00:22:15.079
act to James, if I'm honest, how dare you Al Cliver non Union
275
00:22:15.119 --> 00:22:19.880
Orange Cassidy. It's tremendous as Ron
Shannon of just being like an off brand
276
00:22:19.960 --> 00:22:23.640
clearly eastward squinting into the middle distance. Oh, there's a lot of that.
277
00:22:23.799 --> 00:22:27.599
There's a lot of Sergio Leone rip
offs later on. Yeah, but
278
00:22:27.640 --> 00:22:30.799
you've got a very much well This
is the version that we watches, the
279
00:22:30.839 --> 00:22:33.279
dubbed version, because I'm assuming this
was originally recorded in Italian. Oh yes,
280
00:22:33.519 --> 00:22:37.240
yeah, because when we get to
meet Carnac's mate later on, hey,
281
00:22:37.359 --> 00:22:42.160
you're wise guys. Really my favorite
he should have had should have been
282
00:22:42.160 --> 00:22:47.319
in this. He should have been
that guy in the movie. So anyway,
283
00:22:47.359 --> 00:22:48.960
he says, all right, well
I'm I'm trapped, and she's like,
284
00:22:49.200 --> 00:22:52.279
listen to my advice, and then
she just go and he whips the
285
00:22:52.319 --> 00:22:57.519
gun out of Carl of Carnac's hand
and then they have a rumble. It's
286
00:22:57.519 --> 00:23:04.480
a mad barrel action going. We
just goes donkey kong on him, high
287
00:23:04.519 --> 00:23:08.319
in them down this thing. It
was clearly set up for that, and
288
00:23:08.359 --> 00:23:14.640
then the delivery of it was so
like cluster like kick him Channing and he's
289
00:23:14.680 --> 00:23:19.200
like, oh my uncle, I've
done so much kicking. It's with it.
290
00:23:19.559 --> 00:23:22.920
There's a lot of barrel action because
when we meet I think he's mate.
291
00:23:23.000 --> 00:23:26.839
Later on he throws the barrel at
him. We were all throwing barrels
292
00:23:26.839 --> 00:23:30.759
in the Eighth. I wish I
could go back. You don't mention that
293
00:23:30.799 --> 00:23:34.839
in that song, did they with
respectably? The eight used to throw barrels
294
00:23:34.839 --> 00:23:40.359
at people and he gets Karnak down
and he pulls his knife on him and
295
00:23:40.480 --> 00:23:45.240
he's like and the camera crew with
two camera men covered in ductor. For
296
00:23:45.359 --> 00:23:48.559
some reason, they come up because
this is the only death, but that
297
00:23:48.759 --> 00:23:53.160
wasn't coincidentally near CCTV so that they
could capture it anyway to found the one
298
00:23:53.279 --> 00:23:56.880
spot that was and they said,
we've got cameras all around the city and
299
00:23:56.000 --> 00:24:04.400
remote control cameras and two guys dressed
like make your own KKK outfits disco KKK
300
00:24:06.000 --> 00:24:11.480
yes, redneck um and they like, do it kill him? And Shannon
301
00:24:11.599 --> 00:24:17.119
goes, no, I've I've one. He yields, so I think I
302
00:24:17.480 --> 00:24:21.480
get the prize, and they oh, he's the new favorite of the championship
303
00:24:22.319 --> 00:24:26.880
game. Championship game that never ends. It should be called never ending games.
304
00:24:27.680 --> 00:24:32.759
Yeah, he doesn't confusing rules.
He doesn't drink his life plus,
305
00:24:32.839 --> 00:24:36.200
which has been handed to him,
which looks a lot like water. Boom
306
00:24:36.240 --> 00:24:41.799
boom guys. He hears lights calling
for help. In his mind goons are
307
00:24:41.839 --> 00:24:45.359
taking her away, hired goons,
so he drops his life. I think,
308
00:24:45.359 --> 00:24:48.119
actually I think he hands the drink. He goes, He goes,
309
00:24:48.319 --> 00:24:52.880
you drink it. And hands it
to Jerry Seinfeld. Yeah, and then
310
00:24:52.920 --> 00:24:57.480
he runs off these two hired goons
dragging little off. He does it,
311
00:24:57.559 --> 00:25:00.519
he tries to do it like a
pithy thing to them. They're like,
312
00:25:00.680 --> 00:25:02.960
you can't tell us what to do, and he just boops him in the
313
00:25:03.039 --> 00:25:08.039
stone. Not one for subtle thing, No James Bond style oneliners from Shannon.
314
00:25:08.240 --> 00:25:11.720
No, it's just booth to the
stack to the yam bag. There's
315
00:25:11.880 --> 00:25:15.920
another little bit with the General's as
well. They say that they want to
316
00:25:15.960 --> 00:25:22.119
get him back and also an unspecified
child or and I quote they will fail.
317
00:25:22.279 --> 00:25:27.880
I want to be any more specific. Says I need to hire you
318
00:25:29.240 --> 00:25:33.920
to get me and some other mutants
out of the city to a safe location.
319
00:25:33.279 --> 00:25:37.119
And he goes, nah, fuck
you, I'm not doing that.
320
00:25:37.319 --> 00:25:41.000
I'm Ron Shannon Um. And she
goes, what if I introduce you to
321
00:25:41.880 --> 00:25:53.799
the head teacher from Boy Meets World, Will ned Flanders. Yeah, he's
322
00:25:53.799 --> 00:25:57.200
got a turtle there and he that's
oh yeah, he's rocking that look.
323
00:25:57.519 --> 00:26:03.279
And she shows him his room with
Mr Feeney and the boy in a caravan.
324
00:26:03.440 --> 00:26:07.640
It's another one. It's just made
up of caravan. This caravan was
325
00:26:07.680 --> 00:26:12.640
the exact same layout as my granddad's
in the eighties and very familiar one.
326
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:17.200
But yeah, the rest of the
city did actually look like skegness. Why
327
00:26:17.279 --> 00:26:26.920
not end game beating each other the
death of sticks a rock And he's like,
328
00:26:26.640 --> 00:26:32.279
we can't stay here because like the
bad bastards are after us. Don't
329
00:26:32.359 --> 00:26:38.160
use that toilet into which we don't
past. Yeah, he's not gone back
330
00:26:38.240 --> 00:26:44.200
to my apartment. Yeah, and
then it explains that Mr Feeney isn't a
331
00:26:44.279 --> 00:26:47.759
mute and wishes he was one.
He's well up for that though. He
332
00:26:47.799 --> 00:26:51.480
wants to establish a race that's telepathic
and then they can conquer the world and
333
00:26:51.640 --> 00:26:56.480
then the universe universe. And I
was like, that's not good, is
334
00:26:56.519 --> 00:27:00.960
it. Conquering? Conquering is not
the word I would use, like assimilating
335
00:27:00.039 --> 00:27:03.680
into the rest of the world,
like making the world a better place.
336
00:27:03.880 --> 00:27:07.359
Conquer is not a good word unless
it's on a No, it's not done
337
00:27:07.359 --> 00:27:12.480
in a German accent either. He
agrees. He sort of agrees because Li
338
00:27:12.839 --> 00:27:15.599
is like, oh, go on, I'll let you have a go on
339
00:27:15.680 --> 00:27:18.640
the front these and he's like,
all right, then, I guess I
340
00:27:18.720 --> 00:27:22.519
need to put a group together.
Though for some reason we get the best
341
00:27:22.759 --> 00:27:30.240
Dirty Dozen style recruitments. Yeah,
we go to Bulls Jim. I think
342
00:27:30.319 --> 00:27:33.960
it is. It is. Every
kind of fighting happens in Bulls gym.
343
00:27:34.200 --> 00:27:37.799
There's no rules in Bulls gym as
long as you bring your own underpants and
344
00:27:37.880 --> 00:27:42.640
you're fighting. Nothing else. Only
I may wear an eyepad that nobody else
345
00:27:42.720 --> 00:27:48.000
is allowed. The reason for that
being is that Bull is pirates having a
346
00:27:48.160 --> 00:27:53.960
bar dem Yes, yeah, he's
great because he's Shannon's like, I need
347
00:27:55.039 --> 00:27:57.720
to put a group together. Bull
says, now, all these people in
348
00:27:57.759 --> 00:28:02.480
there a fannies, you don't want
them? And he goes, what about
349
00:28:02.480 --> 00:28:07.079
that dude just stood there flexing like
the older met warrior And he goes,
350
00:28:07.200 --> 00:28:15.119
oh him, Ninja, And I'm
like, I did get eliminator feels from
351
00:28:15.200 --> 00:28:25.400
this particular character, the one Ninja
Mr and Mrs Ninja. Did you create
352
00:28:25.519 --> 00:28:30.759
the air fryer? The big expensive
push to do one with those got one?
353
00:28:30.799 --> 00:28:33.720
It's lush, the one that's got
the steam and grill, just the
354
00:28:33.759 --> 00:28:41.039
lot, just the who sponsored by
again Life plus Men among Men by Life
355
00:28:41.039 --> 00:28:49.240
Plus Drink, Life plus and paste
blood. Yeah, so bull who owns
356
00:28:49.359 --> 00:28:53.799
the gym Bulls Jim. He orders
a man to attack the Ninja. Sorry,
357
00:28:53.920 --> 00:29:00.519
Ninja, so he could noting he's
not a definite art just so he
358
00:29:00.559 --> 00:29:03.440
can show off his skills, and
Ninja just straight up burders a dude.
359
00:29:03.759 --> 00:29:06.279
Pull right. This was a bit
that I was worried about because bulls Jim
360
00:29:06.400 --> 00:29:08.880
is not a safe place to train
because that punching bag he was punching,
361
00:29:10.079 --> 00:29:12.680
that's the fucking machette hidden in it. And if you punch that wrong.
362
00:29:14.400 --> 00:29:18.000
Yeah, but he goes, maybe
he'll fight if he's attacked. All right,
363
00:29:18.119 --> 00:29:27.880
random kids attack him, random bloke
makes a noise that he goes and
364
00:29:29.039 --> 00:29:33.400
then yeah, Ninja just murders him, goes back to flexing. Bull goes
365
00:29:33.400 --> 00:29:37.680
to check his pulse and Ninja goes, there is no point he's dead.
366
00:29:37.559 --> 00:29:44.559
Man's was just working out. It
was like day for fox sake. So
367
00:29:44.720 --> 00:29:48.480
if your top advice from Last Orders, if you're ever in a gym and
368
00:29:48.759 --> 00:29:52.759
someone gets you to attack someone else, don't because they will murder you.
369
00:29:52.039 --> 00:29:56.599
Don't start on the one dude who
looks like his name is don't. Don't
370
00:29:56.680 --> 00:30:03.119
start with the one guy who's name
who is named the Killers. Oh but
371
00:30:03.319 --> 00:30:04.359
yeah, and so he's like,
right, do you want'll be on my
372
00:30:04.480 --> 00:30:08.440
team, and he goes, yeah, all right, it's the weirdest bit.
373
00:30:08.640 --> 00:30:11.599
But then we get to the best
bit. Oh yeah, where he
374
00:30:11.759 --> 00:30:18.880
pulled Ron Shannon and his little golf
car pulls up to an abandoned like office
375
00:30:18.960 --> 00:30:26.359
building home to several rolling barrels.
It's almost like tumbleweed. As he's walking
376
00:30:26.440 --> 00:30:30.279
along, a barrel rolls across and
he goes and a guy behind him in
377
00:30:30.359 --> 00:30:34.160
like a pink ball camouflage outfit comes
out and he whips the gun out of
378
00:30:34.200 --> 00:30:38.880
his hand. But then we're introduced
to Kovak, Kovacs Mate, and Mr
379
00:30:40.240 --> 00:30:45.400
I've got that weapon that Feathers McGraw
had to befar and Kovacs Mate is the
380
00:30:45.519 --> 00:30:53.079
best guy in this All three stooges
rolled into one. This Kovac in his
381
00:30:53.200 --> 00:30:56.319
gang looked like Dad's army if it
was setting the D and D universe.
382
00:31:00.279 --> 00:31:03.839
For some reason, they live in
the Heidi high set. Figure any of
383
00:31:03.960 --> 00:31:08.880
this out, He gets something,
isn't it? Yeah? But I don't
384
00:31:08.920 --> 00:31:12.000
even know his name, Kovacs Mate. It's like I'm the king around He
385
00:31:12.240 --> 00:31:18.359
sc and he's going and like Shannon
just ignores him, like he's not even
386
00:31:18.519 --> 00:31:22.480
attaining this break, and he goes
are you Kovak and he goes, yeah,
387
00:31:22.519 --> 00:31:26.519
I am, and I hear you're
very strong. Kovacs mate, He's
388
00:31:26.559 --> 00:31:33.799
like pay attention and then he just
like if you say another thing to maybe
389
00:31:33.839 --> 00:31:37.359
the last thing you ever say.
And then they just recruit Kovak. They
390
00:31:37.440 --> 00:31:40.119
never get to see Kovac's mate again. They could have done with his mates
391
00:31:40.200 --> 00:31:48.319
as well. He's a loose canon
ay Covac's mate, high pitch Mario Gabag.
392
00:31:51.160 --> 00:31:55.160
And then we get to a dive
bar that's playing generic Dr Hugh music
393
00:31:55.240 --> 00:32:00.200
in the background. In the future
there is still pinball, yes, and
394
00:32:00.559 --> 00:32:06.640
and bar's limaide because that's all that
Kovac's drinks. I didn't spark. He's
395
00:32:06.680 --> 00:32:12.160
just got this this this glass of
green pop. Yeah, that's all the
396
00:32:12.279 --> 00:32:17.400
names drink, isn't it. It's
that swepts ginger ale again Gership. The
397
00:32:17.519 --> 00:32:23.000
crew are sat down scheming and jaw. I think his name is non union
398
00:32:23.039 --> 00:32:27.119
Ian McShane. I've got him down. Oh very good. I don't know
399
00:32:27.160 --> 00:32:29.680
why he's got a Japanese name.
Anyway, he walks in and they throw
400
00:32:29.720 --> 00:32:34.200
a knife at him and he throws
it right back. Test test his reactions
401
00:32:34.759 --> 00:32:39.039
and that there's better ways. Pinball
machine there. Yeah, see how can
402
00:32:39.160 --> 00:32:43.759
use it? Slaps He's no,
he just picks out was it at the
403
00:32:43.799 --> 00:32:45.839
table, and then they all do
a big thumbs up and they're like,
404
00:32:45.880 --> 00:32:50.039
welcome to the team, random dude. Um, So that's that's another piece
405
00:32:50.079 --> 00:32:52.000
of advice from us that if you
ever get any projectile thrown at you in
406
00:32:52.079 --> 00:32:55.079
a pub, you throw it right
back. Yeah, being a job in
407
00:32:55.119 --> 00:33:00.440
it for you. He offers them
all he's going to be paid a big
408
00:33:00.519 --> 00:33:04.920
box of gold. Yeah, And
he says he'll give them two bars of
409
00:33:05.039 --> 00:33:07.920
gold each for help, knowing full
well that they're not gonna No one's gonna
410
00:33:07.920 --> 00:33:13.160
make it's suicide mission. This has
been a bit suspicious about the bars of
411
00:33:13.240 --> 00:33:15.240
gold because that sounds like a very
generic treasure, doesn't it. But it's
412
00:33:15.319 --> 00:33:21.079
spot on the money. This doesn't
skimp in treasure is actually he says,
413
00:33:21.359 --> 00:33:23.880
there's no money up front. We're
doing this on on on, like an
414
00:33:23.920 --> 00:33:30.039
honor system. And we cut to
Karnak in a shooting range with a shotgun,
415
00:33:30.359 --> 00:33:35.240
just peppering the funk out of everything
with it shooting through this these moving
416
00:33:35.720 --> 00:33:37.960
things. I'm like, wow,
you are very good at this, Yes,
417
00:33:38.079 --> 00:33:43.079
but with a shotgun not known for
their accuracy really get that range as
418
00:33:43.119 --> 00:33:46.920
well. But bless him, he's
having fun with it. Like the general
419
00:33:47.079 --> 00:33:53.359
guy comes in. I put him
down as Captain Morgan. It's not Colonel
420
00:33:53.440 --> 00:34:02.079
Morgan. I think Major Morgan.
There's a reference from Niche and he's like,
421
00:34:02.599 --> 00:34:06.200
they're going to move a load of
mutants out of the city and Shannon's
422
00:34:06.240 --> 00:34:08.039
involved and like he made you look
like a right fanny and he's like,
423
00:34:08.199 --> 00:34:12.039
I don't care. And he's like, oh, go and do it and
424
00:34:12.119 --> 00:34:14.559
we'll you know, we'll give you
a heart or an eye patch something.
425
00:34:14.639 --> 00:34:19.239
I don't know people's motivation, and
this is very wully. Shannons is fine.
426
00:34:19.280 --> 00:34:22.360
He's doing it for gold all of
like the dirty doesn't. He's got,
427
00:34:22.440 --> 00:34:25.480
he's put together, the crew he's
put together. He wouldn't trust even
428
00:34:25.519 --> 00:34:28.639
that they'd be like, oh yeah, we get paid at the end.
429
00:34:28.880 --> 00:34:32.320
Like there's no like, oh well, he's king of the end game.
430
00:34:32.480 --> 00:34:35.840
I know, but from his point
of view on the top of the end
431
00:34:35.880 --> 00:34:39.599
game Premiership, he's not in the
end game besa homes league, is he
432
00:34:39.760 --> 00:34:44.360
Like? It's so I guess like
the star struck by it as well.
433
00:34:44.599 --> 00:34:46.559
I don't know. I don't think
they know how motivation works in this field.
434
00:34:46.599 --> 00:34:51.320
But I'll get to another bit where
there's Yeah, Lilath gathers all the
435
00:34:51.400 --> 00:34:53.880
mutants, all ten of them as
ten. Yeah, and they marched past
436
00:34:53.920 --> 00:34:59.039
the local idiots and skeletons and cages
to the crew who don't look at them.
437
00:34:59.079 --> 00:35:01.760
I think it's like shields. They
don't know what cargo they're transporting,
438
00:35:01.920 --> 00:35:06.599
which is at what point of the
Channon hasn't Shannon hasn't told them their mutants.
439
00:35:06.719 --> 00:35:08.719
No, he's just told them they're
transporting something out into the desert.
440
00:35:08.760 --> 00:35:12.320
I think I'm sure he said it's
people. There's people that want out of
441
00:35:12.360 --> 00:35:15.960
the city. Yeah, not not
mutants. You don't care about them.
442
00:35:15.079 --> 00:35:20.159
Yeah, all the old nanners and
people, a lot of wet rats in
443
00:35:20.239 --> 00:35:25.079
the bag. It's just reminded me
of that knitted fernannas and at the Russian
444
00:35:25.159 --> 00:35:30.239
Eurovision entry as well. Yeah,
is not the one the year after with
445
00:35:30.360 --> 00:35:36.719
all the bounty ladies. Yeah,
it's from one extreme to another, that
446
00:35:36.880 --> 00:35:44.719
wasn't it. So they traveled cross
country the load of Bedford Rascal. It's
447
00:35:44.760 --> 00:35:47.039
got some it's got some miles on
it. What they've used there, Oh,
448
00:35:47.199 --> 00:35:51.639
it's it's a beautiful it's like it's
not even a transit. It's Yeah,
449
00:35:52.079 --> 00:35:54.320
but they've put like a goodess nest
on the top, and there's a
450
00:35:54.400 --> 00:36:00.559
ladder that falls off constantly. Yeah. Not secured that. They've got two
451
00:36:00.599 --> 00:36:04.440
bikes and a buggy as well,
which turns up a lot in this until
452
00:36:04.480 --> 00:36:09.039
it's fiery demise and act for a
buggy that can fire fire what never does?
453
00:36:09.440 --> 00:36:14.880
Yeah, was that there buggy or
was that something Else's? Probably that's
454
00:36:15.519 --> 00:36:20.119
Ron Shannon's buggy, a k a. The firebug. Yeah, but yeah,
455
00:36:20.119 --> 00:36:24.559
they set off on this this bewildering
quest in the no man's land and
456
00:36:24.639 --> 00:36:29.159
buy some screen to loot some corpses, the first of many screens. I
457
00:36:29.280 --> 00:36:30.760
was fair a lot of degree.
You must have been happy with that was
458
00:36:31.239 --> 00:36:34.920
It's been a while since we've had
screen. I think we have a gong
459
00:36:35.039 --> 00:36:42.320
sound for the screen. I'm not
using that system anymore. Kovacs says mutants
460
00:36:42.360 --> 00:36:45.800
and spits on him, which I
thought was a bit tactless given his new
461
00:36:45.840 --> 00:36:47.679
employer, But it makes sense now
that he did. He doesn't know and
462
00:36:47.840 --> 00:36:52.039
like little bites her tongue a bit, and she's not going to rain and
463
00:36:52.159 --> 00:36:59.039
go like, oh, it's not
worth it. Yeah. The Professor explains
464
00:36:59.079 --> 00:37:02.920
that their mutys that they see on
the corps as a regressive involution, not
465
00:37:04.920 --> 00:37:07.960
because one of them is blue and
it's got He's like when we were monkeys
466
00:37:07.039 --> 00:37:09.639
and I was like, one of
them looks like Planet the Ape, yet
467
00:37:10.039 --> 00:37:13.400
very much so. And then he's
like, from when we were aped,
468
00:37:13.559 --> 00:37:15.480
or even when we lived in the
sea, and I was like, we
469
00:37:15.559 --> 00:37:20.599
weren't more people were, No,
I don't think so, I don't know.
470
00:37:20.800 --> 00:37:23.719
I'm not child. Watching a lot
of ancient aliens on the History Channel,
471
00:37:24.280 --> 00:37:29.800
Jesus, a lot of those people
that are upset about this new mermaid
472
00:37:29.920 --> 00:37:34.440
being black would have been happy because
this mermaid man was green. That wouldn't
473
00:37:35.119 --> 00:37:39.559
I guess surely they'd be silvery though, because anyway, Fessor says that they're
474
00:37:39.639 --> 00:37:44.039
trying that. You know, he
says that mutants in general are a better
475
00:37:44.199 --> 00:37:47.199
race. I thought I should stop
saying that again. It gets a bit
476
00:37:47.760 --> 00:37:53.159
conquering master race. There is a
little bit here where it's all I could
477
00:37:53.239 --> 00:37:55.639
all I could see was when they're
talking about the child too old, the
478
00:37:55.719 --> 00:38:02.719
boy is training you cannot because it
is this the bit where he like Lilith
479
00:38:02.880 --> 00:38:07.800
and the boy mucking about nurse and
water. I think that's a bit later,
480
00:38:07.880 --> 00:38:10.199
but go on, it doesn't matter. I mean, we've got a
481
00:38:10.280 --> 00:38:14.440
fight before then, I think,
haven't we We've got the Blind Gang.
482
00:38:14.599 --> 00:38:17.239
I'm sure it's before the Blind Gang
because things. I think it was there.
483
00:38:19.000 --> 00:38:22.119
He's levitating, levitating this rock with
his mind and Channon's like, what
484
00:38:22.360 --> 00:38:25.280
the funk is going on here,
and Lilith explains that, like, he
485
00:38:25.559 --> 00:38:30.400
is one of the better mutants because
he can move it, you control stuff
486
00:38:30.400 --> 00:38:35.519
with his mind and ship, but
she shields him with her mind to stop
487
00:38:35.599 --> 00:38:42.440
him feeling emotions or some ship that
would explain his blank expression to film the
488
00:38:42.519 --> 00:38:45.519
fact that yeah, he was literally
come on, it was only about nine
489
00:38:46.079 --> 00:38:57.559
the mil I think he's only got
one other acting credit for I don't remember
490
00:38:57.599 --> 00:39:00.480
what it was, but it wasn't
much long afterwards. And then you went
491
00:39:00.519 --> 00:39:02.960
off and became a dog, the
bounty hunter. I don't know he didn't
492
00:39:02.960 --> 00:39:07.280
do this, but yeah, they
explained that all the waters poisoned because the
493
00:39:07.360 --> 00:39:10.559
world is dinging because of the war, and it pans into this lake and
494
00:39:10.599 --> 00:39:15.400
then pans up and we've got a
card act just watching. Yeah, you
495
00:39:15.440 --> 00:39:19.800
shouldn't swim in that lake, by
the way, not because it's a radiated
496
00:39:20.079 --> 00:39:23.079
because it is a quarry. Don't
swim in top again, a lot of
497
00:39:23.159 --> 00:39:28.360
public safety advice today, no matter
how high it is. Don't swimming carries
498
00:39:28.440 --> 00:39:30.159
quarries because it's deeper than you think, it's colder than you think, and
499
00:39:30.199 --> 00:39:34.119
there's things that will touch your legs
in there. There's probably bodies in there.
500
00:39:34.320 --> 00:39:38.960
I think it's like a m deep
water where you can't see the bottom.
501
00:39:39.000 --> 00:39:43.480
Nope, thank you, Nope,
not for me. It's yeah,
502
00:39:43.519 --> 00:39:49.480
it's it's body soup. Essentially.
Around this time, they encounter a village
503
00:39:49.559 --> 00:39:52.159
and they decide that they're going to
go through it because there's no ring road
504
00:39:52.239 --> 00:39:57.679
for the settlement, so they decided
to send two bikes into the town square.
505
00:39:57.960 --> 00:40:01.599
What happens next they it's this is
a blur to me. It's the
506
00:40:01.719 --> 00:40:07.079
longest scene in the whole film,
But like, what is going on with
507
00:40:07.199 --> 00:40:12.840
these blind men? So many of
these monks of the Lord as they call
508
00:40:12.920 --> 00:40:15.039
them. So yeah, they're still
they're going, all right, we're in
509
00:40:15.159 --> 00:40:21.320
this like barracks again. Looks familiar, can because your Kovac is your mate
510
00:40:21.360 --> 00:40:25.840
knocking them out here, and he's
like, but this. This dude all
511
00:40:25.920 --> 00:40:29.920
in black, black cape up,
face covered, comes out and he's like,
512
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:36.440
welcome friends, I am spooky Jeremy. Let me you know. Do
513
00:40:36.639 --> 00:40:40.159
you have we are? It's like
he's he's their monks. I believe they're
514
00:40:40.159 --> 00:40:45.199
supposed to be. And he's like, but do not worry because we cannot
515
00:40:45.199 --> 00:40:49.360
see. It's example, he's got
like cataract eyes. What are you selling?
516
00:40:49.519 --> 00:40:52.159
What are you selling? It's I
proved that he is blind. Shannon
517
00:40:52.199 --> 00:40:59.719
waves a gun at Yeah. They
want food or the trade? Have you
518
00:40:59.760 --> 00:41:04.280
brought food? Have you brought provisions? And as he's saying this, thousands
519
00:41:04.360 --> 00:41:09.760
more of these appear, like the
cloak manufacturer and that village. She must
520
00:41:09.760 --> 00:41:15.280
be doing a roaring trade. Yeah
either. At this point, explains that
521
00:41:15.360 --> 00:41:19.039
they have a telepathic prisoner who tells
them stuff. How can they see?
522
00:41:19.440 --> 00:41:22.079
They see through his eyes, but
he's in a he can't see them.
523
00:41:23.119 --> 00:41:30.880
He's looking at a wall. We
see later on the motivation. He's been
524
00:41:30.960 --> 00:41:34.440
captured by them and strong up.
He looks like one of the Lost Boys
525
00:41:34.480 --> 00:41:37.159
as well, didn't he He does
look to come from and that gets pushed
526
00:41:37.159 --> 00:41:43.639
into the bathtub and explodes. The
darkest timeline one so anyway, as they
527
00:41:43.719 --> 00:41:46.880
get closer and closer, all these
lads with Swards and Darth vadercapes on.
528
00:41:47.199 --> 00:41:52.559
Just shooting happens right, and everyone
shooting. Everyone got loads of grenades.
529
00:41:53.079 --> 00:41:57.960
It is brilliant, which only blow
up one person at a time, and
530
00:41:58.000 --> 00:42:02.639
then everyone else runs away because the
telepathic man has been like, oh there's
531
00:42:02.639 --> 00:42:07.280
been an explosion there, run away
over there, you're getting shot at.
532
00:42:07.440 --> 00:42:10.719
Hide behind this barrel. He must
be coordinating like dozens of people at a
533
00:42:10.840 --> 00:42:15.679
time. It doesn't make any sense. It's a powerful but it works.
534
00:42:15.920 --> 00:42:20.440
It works because they start to swarm
the van, killing a crewman I think
535
00:42:20.920 --> 00:42:23.800
some random dudy we don't know about. Channon does a sweet ramp of a
536
00:42:23.880 --> 00:42:29.519
bike like I don't know why because
it was there. You he got like
537
00:42:29.599 --> 00:42:32.440
two foot of air at that time. Ninja results to kicking, just kicking.
538
00:42:34.559 --> 00:42:36.719
Well, he uses a gun for
a bit, but then he's got
539
00:42:36.800 --> 00:42:43.679
like a crossbow gauntlet fingers that yeah, yeah, he's got a I'd called
540
00:42:43.719 --> 00:42:50.480
it yeah because and then trademark like
Kovacs just smashing people, bombing him on
541
00:42:50.519 --> 00:42:53.960
the head comedy style with these giant
hands. Someone I don't know who it
542
00:42:54.079 --> 00:42:57.599
is. I can't remember what he's
called. The guy that's up on the
543
00:42:57.679 --> 00:43:00.840
turret with like the inspector gadget coat
on, and that the bandoliers because he
544
00:43:00.920 --> 00:43:05.440
features quite prominently. Yes, but
he hasn't given he's never we never meet
545
00:43:05.519 --> 00:43:10.000
him. Infinite infinite bullets by the
way, in this in this truck,
546
00:43:10.079 --> 00:43:14.079
as we discover later in the film, if you look closely and the belt
547
00:43:14.119 --> 00:43:19.760
doesn't feed through. But he's just
going off the top of this thing.
548
00:43:20.239 --> 00:43:22.800
Um Shannon being the hero, he's
like, well, we have to destroy
549
00:43:23.119 --> 00:43:27.360
the mutant and then they'll be blind. So he finds the mutant, does
550
00:43:27.480 --> 00:43:30.159
some spin cakes, shoot some people
with his never ending bullet gun, and
551
00:43:30.239 --> 00:43:34.360
then like freeze the mutant. No, no, he loves an axe at
552
00:43:34.400 --> 00:43:37.199
his head. He kills him.
He kills him out right right. I
553
00:43:37.280 --> 00:43:39.880
missed that because I must have been
doing with you laughing, because I think
554
00:43:39.920 --> 00:43:45.039
at one point they make the he
man laser noise and I was like,
555
00:43:45.159 --> 00:43:50.599
that's and then everyone goes then have
on the rest of the monks. They
556
00:43:51.159 --> 00:43:55.920
and blind. It's all gone dark, yeah, and then they're staggering around.
557
00:43:57.360 --> 00:44:00.079
It was like that before you couldn't
see you can only see what the
558
00:44:00.280 --> 00:44:04.480
newtant saw and he couldn't see anything. Listen, right, the mutant side
559
00:44:04.639 --> 00:44:07.559
like telepathy thing and this is sketchy
at best. Best not to poke around
560
00:44:07.639 --> 00:44:12.039
in that murky swamp and what was
this splevation? Anyway, he was chained
561
00:44:12.079 --> 00:44:15.559
up by them, So you know
they just then step around all these blind
562
00:44:15.719 --> 00:44:19.960
monks again. Yeah, they just
like fuck you, why are they all
563
00:44:20.039 --> 00:44:24.400
blind? As well? That's never
fully but I do like effects us all
564
00:44:24.440 --> 00:44:28.960
in the stereos phase. I like
that they thought about, well, you
565
00:44:29.039 --> 00:44:31.320
know, the combat potential of a
mutant, it's just paired well with a
566
00:44:31.360 --> 00:44:35.000
society of blind people. Didn't really
work, but I like that they were
567
00:44:35.039 --> 00:44:38.519
thinking about it. Look at ages
to trap him. I did think that
568
00:44:38.639 --> 00:44:42.320
as well. With the curvy swords, they just formed a ring. But
569
00:44:42.599 --> 00:44:45.519
yeah, they peel out, they
get onto the bikes and the buggy that
570
00:44:45.639 --> 00:44:49.199
the Bedford Rascal pulls out knocks one
of them over and runs his head over.
571
00:44:49.440 --> 00:44:52.679
Yeah. I thought was gratuitous but
fun. Yeah, and that was
572
00:44:52.760 --> 00:44:57.639
the that was the that was the
tagline for the films beyond and that was
573
00:44:57.840 --> 00:45:00.599
that was the fight. That was
the the Black Monk fight. Yeah,
574
00:45:01.480 --> 00:45:07.039
at this point where about sixty minutes
into this ninety four minute film, it
575
00:45:07.159 --> 00:45:12.000
moves along at a breakneck pace.
Now yeah, they start approaching a building
576
00:45:12.079 --> 00:45:15.800
with Son of Death written on it, which is full of dead and sacrifice
577
00:45:15.880 --> 00:45:19.519
people, one with a boob out. I mean, yeah, this,
578
00:45:19.880 --> 00:45:22.840
we're getting to the boob section of
the film, now we are, because
579
00:45:22.880 --> 00:45:27.760
there has to be once, you
know, exploitation film. They're driving along
580
00:45:28.119 --> 00:45:32.159
and all of a sudden, every
dirt bike in Italy shows in Morton Joe
581
00:45:32.199 --> 00:45:43.559
and his junior kickstarters aquatic Mr malsatian
Um. Yeah, he's driving along,
582
00:45:43.639 --> 00:45:47.400
big blue fish boy with two women
with no tops on but like the string
583
00:45:47.639 --> 00:45:52.880
under their boobs, which I thought
was yeah choice. Also, one of
584
00:45:52.920 --> 00:45:57.039
the sacrificed boob ladies from the start
wakes up. Suddenly it was all the
585
00:45:57.079 --> 00:46:02.719
trap Whipps, Whipps, Shannon up, the all the corps has come to
586
00:46:02.840 --> 00:46:12.320
life. He gets murdered up right
through his acrylic jumper since the last day
587
00:46:12.400 --> 00:46:15.360
before, and he's like, it
could have been a beautiful world. Some
588
00:46:15.519 --> 00:46:21.440
ship. I don't know. That's
something about saving the mutants. They expires
589
00:46:21.719 --> 00:46:24.320
and they were all like, well
he was a bit racist, but they
590
00:46:24.360 --> 00:46:30.960
always are. Academics and then this
big society, the big fight ensues,
591
00:46:30.239 --> 00:46:34.559
another big fight, because again this
film is mostly fights at the point.
592
00:46:34.639 --> 00:46:38.639
Now, um so everyone facts as
well. He gets suspicion suspicious of Lilith
593
00:46:38.679 --> 00:46:42.440
because I think he's only just met
her. She must have jumped out of
594
00:46:42.440 --> 00:46:45.400
the van or something, and then
says that they're all mutants. So he
595
00:46:45.519 --> 00:46:50.159
kind of cottons on very quickly what's
going on? And they're transport mutants And
596
00:46:50.760 --> 00:46:53.159
he's got a very strong moral code
to co facts and it doesn't extend to
597
00:46:53.280 --> 00:46:59.360
mutants apparently, So yes, it's
got a very high tolerance for sound thresholds
598
00:46:59.360 --> 00:47:04.440
hanging out with his mate but not
mutes where and then this, yeah,
599
00:47:04.840 --> 00:47:07.719
infinite amount of dirt bike people come
in and get shot. Got confused by
600
00:47:07.760 --> 00:47:10.960
this because we're just swarming around.
Yeah, a lot of people doing like
601
00:47:12.159 --> 00:47:16.079
skids through puddles, a lot of
people just falling off bikes. One guy
602
00:47:16.239 --> 00:47:19.800
with a leopard skin hat as well. Oh there's a guy with like a
603
00:47:19.920 --> 00:47:23.960
winged thor helmet. It's great,
a fleecy bike. There's a lot of
604
00:47:24.559 --> 00:47:28.840
sellotape to bikes in this, which
all the fun of the fair. I
605
00:47:28.920 --> 00:47:32.000
thought it was filmed in the factory
from RoboCop. This, Yes, it
606
00:47:32.079 --> 00:47:36.639
has very big like just sad industrial
zone vibes, doesn't it. It was
607
00:47:36.760 --> 00:47:39.519
very good. I loved all the
locations of this. It's like scher just
608
00:47:39.719 --> 00:47:47.079
like Draba post Apocalypse at Scenery Italy
was where it was like could you shooting
609
00:47:47.159 --> 00:47:51.840
people? He shoots one guy who
then crashes his dirt bike into a wall
610
00:47:51.880 --> 00:47:52.960
behind him, which I don't think
was meant to happen, but it was
611
00:47:53.039 --> 00:47:57.920
funny. And then there's just a
load of people, yeah, shooting,
612
00:47:57.920 --> 00:48:00.719
shoot in shooting. Some of them
grabbed Lila as well, and then she
613
00:48:00.880 --> 00:48:04.320
tries to get into the Bedford Rascal
and starts, but being a woman,
614
00:48:05.079 --> 00:48:09.280
she can't um and so she gets
kidnapped. The two boobie women help hold
615
00:48:09.320 --> 00:48:13.599
her down, which I was like
solidarity sisters, but whatever, it's the
616
00:48:13.639 --> 00:48:19.119
future. And then they peel off
with Shannon's doing Shannon stuff, ramping his
617
00:48:19.280 --> 00:48:22.360
bike off things and you know,
striking poses left, right and center.
618
00:48:22.519 --> 00:48:25.679
I think his plan was to make
other people run out of Ammo, which
619
00:48:25.719 --> 00:48:30.599
actually his his his tactic in the
end game itself, which I'm not sure
620
00:48:30.800 --> 00:48:35.159
is over, but yeah, yeah, he's nit. The fleecy bike must
621
00:48:35.199 --> 00:48:38.039
be because it looked like spring or
possibly winter. He must have quite liked
622
00:48:38.079 --> 00:48:43.360
that fleecy bike underneath him warm.
He drives it down this this this kinel
623
00:48:43.599 --> 00:48:45.280
and he's like trying to put bullets
in, but people keep attacking him.
624
00:48:45.280 --> 00:48:47.760
So he's like, ah, this
is a nightmare. I can't remember which
625
00:48:47.760 --> 00:48:52.639
ones are used which ones. And
now by this point, Ninja is doing
626
00:48:52.679 --> 00:48:54.199
his kicking at the side of a
road. He fires his gun, his
627
00:48:54.320 --> 00:48:58.039
gun jams, he takes his sword
out, stabs one dude, and then
628
00:48:58.039 --> 00:49:00.639
immediately gets smirked like it was like, you're not very good at Ninja.
629
00:49:00.960 --> 00:49:07.000
But Shannon is trapped in this kind
all the bad slags they're driving down in
630
00:49:07.159 --> 00:49:08.719
his buggy. I think it is
with the flamethrower on it. Yeah,
631
00:49:08.960 --> 00:49:12.199
that's why I've got confused. I
thought it was theirs, But yeah,
632
00:49:12.599 --> 00:49:15.880
I just love nicking. But then
here I go steal it again. But
633
00:49:15.000 --> 00:49:21.400
then Ninja appears in a car like
and just basically does like a fucking dom
634
00:49:21.519 --> 00:49:24.400
from Gears of War and just crashes
into this thing, killing himself in the
635
00:49:24.480 --> 00:49:31.840
process. And again, but I
did look, if you looked closely,
636
00:49:32.039 --> 00:49:36.079
in the driver's seat, there was
a little guy in the head like in
637
00:49:36.800 --> 00:49:38.280
the model or whatever it was,
Yeah, which I thought it was nice.
638
00:49:38.679 --> 00:49:43.440
M Shannon doesn't even stop to go
thanks or anything like, or even
639
00:49:43.519 --> 00:49:45.760
like give him a little prayer or
anything. Now he's fucking straight off back
640
00:49:45.800 --> 00:49:51.119
on the dirt, like he's off. Karnak has appeared and he's helping them
641
00:49:51.159 --> 00:49:54.760
now for some reason. Yeah,
he's sort of like skulking in the Yeah,
642
00:49:54.800 --> 00:49:58.239
he's sort of skulking for a while. He's caught up with them,
643
00:49:58.280 --> 00:50:01.039
but he pretends to be on Shannon's
side, which I can't believe Shannon was
644
00:50:01.360 --> 00:50:07.079
taken in by that. But he
takes the Bedford Rascal. He suggests,
645
00:50:07.159 --> 00:50:09.840
he suggests that he's going to help
um, and that's something I think.
646
00:50:09.840 --> 00:50:14.599
It's kind of like the greater good
greater. And then a little bit later
647
00:50:14.719 --> 00:50:17.079
on there's a there's a mention from
Layla where it's kind of like should I
648
00:50:17.159 --> 00:50:22.639
trust him his intentions are not right
or something like that, just a nemesis
649
00:50:22.719 --> 00:50:25.719
in't anyway, they tell the others
to take the fan and go to the
650
00:50:25.800 --> 00:50:30.880
rendezvous. Well, he, Shannon
and Swarthy Leathers go back to the it's
651
00:50:30.960 --> 00:50:34.800
it's a prison, but it looks
a lot like a brick works, and
652
00:50:34.920 --> 00:50:37.840
it does say brick works on one
of the wars. Yes, but also
653
00:50:39.159 --> 00:50:45.800
it has ant world. I got
nuclear fuck and animals, and I can't
654
00:50:45.840 --> 00:50:52.760
make a sentence out of that.
Fuck nuclear animals, I mean all of
655
00:50:52.800 --> 00:50:57.199
these things and then antworks. Yeah. Oh, Also, Kovac has been
656
00:50:57.760 --> 00:51:00.800
kidnapped. He's been he's been taken
prisoner and for some reason they have sealed
657
00:51:00.880 --> 00:51:08.280
him up in a wall first like
a like a we go into this layer
658
00:51:08.559 --> 00:51:13.679
with them all sleeping, and it
was massive Jabber's palace rip off stuff,
659
00:51:14.000 --> 00:51:17.119
including the fact that he had been
put in carbonite, or at least Italian
660
00:51:17.159 --> 00:51:22.199
American carbonite. I guess quick Setting
is in exactly the same place as Jimmy
661
00:51:22.239 --> 00:51:28.000
Hoffer. You would have had held
him in position well, it did that
662
00:51:28.280 --> 00:51:30.760
and then held him for a bit
longer, it's like. And also concrete
663
00:51:30.760 --> 00:51:34.360
heats soup anyway, so you would
have cooked. Yeah, and without meaning
664
00:51:34.400 --> 00:51:37.119
to steal a James fact. I
know you'll have this one, James that
665
00:51:37.239 --> 00:51:42.559
if you were to bury somebody in
concrete, the concrete sucks out all the
666
00:51:42.719 --> 00:51:45.719
moisture in your body, actually causing
your body to explode. I think you've
667
00:51:45.880 --> 00:51:50.840
way overestimated, So you could have
had that one for free. You just
668
00:51:50.920 --> 00:51:52.519
had to tell the listeners. Of
course I had one, yeah, but
669
00:51:52.880 --> 00:51:57.320
because I was when when they were
planning around the room with everyone being asleep,
670
00:51:57.800 --> 00:52:00.039
I was like, why is there
a man in the wall? And
671
00:52:00.039 --> 00:52:01.079
then I was like, oh,
oh, I hope it's not what I
672
00:52:01.159 --> 00:52:06.679
think it is. I hope he
doesn't get his head turned upside down,
673
00:52:07.199 --> 00:52:10.480
no wonder he's begging for death.
But you can't see the other side of
674
00:52:10.519 --> 00:52:19.599
that wall. Somewhere to park your
bike if nothing else. The old jokes
675
00:52:19.639 --> 00:52:22.960
are the best. But they can't
get through because there's a fence there.
676
00:52:23.280 --> 00:52:28.639
So they decide to find some rope
and climb over it. For some reason,
677
00:52:28.719 --> 00:52:31.480
the blue fish man has like trapped
a little you know, like jab
678
00:52:31.599 --> 00:52:36.519
I had the gold chains on my
this guy bit of string, same thing,
679
00:52:36.599 --> 00:52:38.719
and it's you know, work with
what you've got. So they find
680
00:52:38.760 --> 00:52:42.119
some rope, they throw it over
things, and then they climb up and
681
00:52:42.119 --> 00:52:45.599
they climb and they're like as they're
climbing down, some guy sort of wakes
682
00:52:45.679 --> 00:52:52.800
up a bit yeah America before he
got big yeah yeah. For some reason
683
00:52:52.920 --> 00:52:54.960
he and he goes swarthy leathers.
You take him out, I'll get the
684
00:52:55.079 --> 00:52:58.760
gol. That's what the leathers is. Like, okay, but we could
685
00:52:58.800 --> 00:53:00.960
just leave. Laitly goes back to
sleep and then do it like because everyone's
686
00:53:00.960 --> 00:53:06.280
like sleep, it's no go and
gently tickle him with a knife. So
687
00:53:06.440 --> 00:53:09.480
they takes Shannon ages to climb down
that fucking rope as well. It's swarthy
688
00:53:09.559 --> 00:53:14.440
leathers, like two hands and he's
down there. The guy in the like
689
00:53:14.679 --> 00:53:16.599
the mutant in the car thing,
just grabs the bottle of wine as a
690
00:53:16.679 --> 00:53:22.039
drink, goes back to sleep.
Yeah, it's over. Karla just comes
691
00:53:22.079 --> 00:53:25.039
over like puts his hand on his
mouth and then like gently taps his neck
692
00:53:25.119 --> 00:53:28.320
with the knife and then he's dead. And I was like, is it
693
00:53:28.320 --> 00:53:31.760
a magic knife? And then he
very conscientiously puts his beer down very carefully
694
00:53:31.840 --> 00:53:38.280
next to him. That Shannon rescues
Lilith and they climb back. He's like,
695
00:53:38.480 --> 00:53:42.039
you get out of here, climb
up the rope. So they both
696
00:53:42.119 --> 00:53:45.960
climb up, Shannon taking fucking ages
like me climbing up should have tied knots
697
00:53:45.000 --> 00:53:50.599
in it. And then they go
up there and then as Karen acts about
698
00:53:50.639 --> 00:53:52.760
to climb it. Oh no,
they see sorry, they see Kovac and
699
00:53:52.840 --> 00:53:59.760
he goes he wants to die,
so he can't make any noise, never
700
00:53:59.840 --> 00:54:01.159
one wake up. Yeah, but
he doesn't even whisper. I think he
701
00:54:01.280 --> 00:54:06.400
can't be. He subjected to some
form of cruel and unusual punishment. Anyway,
702
00:54:06.880 --> 00:54:10.800
he's in a wall front and back
mate, the human finger trap.
703
00:54:13.119 --> 00:54:15.679
Yeah, little goes, he's begging
for death. Carnick not missing a beat.
704
00:54:15.719 --> 00:54:20.559
I'll fucking do it. You get
out of it. I just love
705
00:54:20.679 --> 00:54:23.239
killing. That clock needs to be
pointing to one o'clock about now, doesn't
706
00:54:23.280 --> 00:54:28.440
it and fixes it and yeah,
yeah, just grabs his head and roll
707
00:54:28.480 --> 00:54:30.400
taste it. And I was like, cause us a lot of blood and
708
00:54:30.559 --> 00:54:34.360
dribble. Yeah yeah, well,
and I didn't under think where the blood
709
00:54:34.400 --> 00:54:37.239
would come from because he just broke
his neck. But anyway, one of
710
00:54:37.280 --> 00:54:40.679
the mutants underneath wakes up, but
he's like, it's all sticky. I
711
00:54:40.719 --> 00:54:45.760
shouldn't have fallen asleep under this human
glory hole. And then he shoots the
712
00:54:45.880 --> 00:54:49.480
rope as Carlos climbing up, and
I'm like, you can hit a fucking
713
00:54:49.599 --> 00:54:52.599
rope, but you can't hit a
bloke that stood there. This is the
714
00:54:52.679 --> 00:54:57.960
problem with humans My next favorite bit
of dialogue. At this point, Shannon
715
00:54:58.039 --> 00:55:01.880
and Lilith are running away and they
hear unfire and then Lila says, he's
716
00:55:01.920 --> 00:55:09.280
not dead, but I sense he's
in trouble. Oh is there anyone here
717
00:55:09.280 --> 00:55:15.639
whose name begins with S? I
think, to which Shannon responds with the
718
00:55:15.760 --> 00:55:19.960
end game makes its own rules or
something along those lines. I'm like,
719
00:55:20.159 --> 00:55:22.679
yes, its fucking all the way
through this film it does. But he
720
00:55:22.840 --> 00:55:27.639
yeah, he's he's they're all setting
on him and he didn't do him shooting.
721
00:55:27.880 --> 00:55:31.039
They drive off because of course the
fuck do, and they catch up
722
00:55:31.119 --> 00:55:36.360
with the Bedford Rascal, which is
another quarry, which is another fucking quarry
723
00:55:36.480 --> 00:55:40.400
has gone from a series of quarries
in the location, which is all houses
724
00:55:40.400 --> 00:55:45.960
will be quarry based, just quarry
after quarry after quarry. The Redford Rascal
725
00:55:45.039 --> 00:55:47.519
drives to a big puddle and I
was concerned that it was going to get
726
00:55:47.599 --> 00:55:52.719
stuck, and Shannon ramps down the
side of this thing and looks quite cool
727
00:55:52.760 --> 00:55:57.400
on his third life, and then
we get we're near the end now people,
728
00:55:57.440 --> 00:56:00.880
so you know now, now's when
the plot kicks, and yeah,
729
00:56:00.920 --> 00:56:05.800
because everybody turns up at this point
to police riot vans show up the big
730
00:56:05.880 --> 00:56:08.480
box thing from before, and yeah, Channon does what he does best,
731
00:56:08.559 --> 00:56:12.840
goes off on his bike, gets
you know, shot at for a while,
732
00:56:13.239 --> 00:56:15.760
does does some jumping over stuff,
sweet does a one eight, does
733
00:56:15.800 --> 00:56:23.119
some kick flips. It's very you
shut myself, but one of the Colonel
734
00:56:23.199 --> 00:56:27.920
Morgan is there and he's like,
you bastard. For some reason, I
735
00:56:28.039 --> 00:56:30.119
hate you and I don't know why
because it's never been fully explained, and
736
00:56:30.239 --> 00:56:34.079
force some mutants out of the van
as well, getting to line up along
737
00:56:34.119 --> 00:56:37.920
the van divibes about where this is
going, and then with the access we
738
00:56:38.079 --> 00:56:44.800
get Shannon, using his newly acquired
psychic powers, goes, Tommy, can
739
00:56:44.920 --> 00:56:52.920
you hear me? Yeah? I
think Army can you hear? Lilith acts
740
00:56:52.920 --> 00:56:57.159
as are kind of like intermediary telepaths, so yeah, I was hoping they
741
00:56:57.159 --> 00:57:00.679
could be all sorts of the string
between their hooting cans. Tommy, can
742
00:57:00.719 --> 00:57:05.960
you hear me? No, this
is KEYTHM there. Can you put Tommy
743
00:57:06.000 --> 00:57:09.039
on? And he's like, Tommy, now is your time to shine fuck
744
00:57:09.119 --> 00:57:15.920
him up? Son, and Tommy
goes right activate the wind machine and yeah,
745
00:57:16.000 --> 00:57:22.239
basically he psychically controls the infinite gun
shoots a load of them, but
746
00:57:22.400 --> 00:57:24.599
not in any sort of order,
if that would make sense, because the
747
00:57:24.679 --> 00:57:28.199
one at the back falls over and
on the front falls over, and like,
748
00:57:28.280 --> 00:57:30.800
that's not how bullets work. But
it's fine. It's the future.
749
00:57:30.440 --> 00:57:35.880
Some of the future police try and
climb up some screen, but get bowlders
750
00:57:35.960 --> 00:57:39.440
dropped on them, which I thought
was dying. Yeah, like something styrofoam
751
00:57:39.480 --> 00:57:45.039
bowlders folding. That's nice in it's
pretty much rocking those cars that they have
752
00:57:45.159 --> 00:57:49.480
at the end of Takeshi's Castle,
aren't they at the end game is you've
753
00:57:49.480 --> 00:57:54.039
got to try and break the paper
ring. He drops a car on some
754
00:57:54.159 --> 00:57:59.679
of the other policemen as well,
very slowly and very carefully lowers it onto
755
00:57:59.760 --> 00:58:02.360
the of her list. They've done
the risk assessment that day. Um,
756
00:58:02.559 --> 00:58:06.880
and then he's like, um,
Colonel Morgan is doing great. Oh no,
757
00:58:07.119 --> 00:58:10.280
my hands betraying me acting. And
then for some reason, instead of
758
00:58:10.320 --> 00:58:14.000
keeping his mouth closed, opens his
mouth and choose myself in the head.
759
00:58:14.719 --> 00:58:16.199
I don't know what difference he would
have made, but I just thought it
760
00:58:16.280 --> 00:58:22.079
was a strange thing that and then
all that stuffs, and then I genuinely
761
00:58:22.159 --> 00:58:23.679
thought, oh, what the funk
now, because he's like, all right,
762
00:58:23.719 --> 00:58:28.400
we're all cool and safe now.
And then a helicopter comes in and
763
00:58:28.519 --> 00:58:30.760
it gets alarmingly close to that wall
of the quarry. I thought, oh
764
00:58:30.960 --> 00:58:35.639
fuck, am I going to watch
one of those Faces of Death style situations
765
00:58:35.719 --> 00:58:40.039
here? But no, it just
it just lands. It really needed twilight
766
00:58:40.159 --> 00:58:49.880
zone. Two lads carry this fucking
like ammunitions case full of gold over which
767
00:58:49.920 --> 00:58:52.840
I'm fair that helicopter wouldn't be able
to take off with that, but it
768
00:58:52.920 --> 00:59:00.599
also takes off with about seven thousand
We are no mutants to hollow inside um.
769
00:59:00.239 --> 00:59:02.960
They gave it him and they go
cheers for that, as promised,
770
00:59:04.360 --> 00:59:09.079
and Shannon just goes so he does. He just squints, and they go
771
00:59:09.679 --> 00:59:14.119
right by and goes you come with
us if you want, and he's like,
772
00:59:14.360 --> 00:59:19.480
no, all right, then come
on. He's got some actual dialogue
773
00:59:19.480 --> 00:59:22.360
at that bit. He says,
Lilas, look inside of me, read
774
00:59:22.480 --> 00:59:25.920
my thoughts. You are the future. I am the past, and could
775
00:59:25.960 --> 00:59:30.599
have added, oh, I know
he's stabbing be useless and this new mutant
776
00:59:30.719 --> 00:59:35.800
rate, where are you going anyway? Society? Is there room in the
777
00:59:35.840 --> 00:59:40.000
new mutant society for a bloke who
just rasses round on dirt lines, probably
778
00:59:40.400 --> 00:59:46.719
delivery guys. Hello, is that
the pizza shop? No, Tommy,
779
00:59:46.760 --> 00:59:52.880
it's me again. Get out of
my brain. Be a nightmare, won't
780
00:59:52.039 --> 00:59:55.199
everyone could read each other stoughts?
If be a fucking nightmare? So yeah,
781
00:59:55.360 --> 01:00:00.000
like all ten of these mutants and
the two guys getting this very small
782
01:00:00.199 --> 01:00:07.880
mash style helicopter, super sad,
and then who should appear but Karnak.
783
01:00:08.039 --> 01:00:14.360
He survived somehow, He's not dead, but he is in danger and they
784
01:00:14.440 --> 01:00:16.360
both start to stare at each other. He says, we haven't played the
785
01:00:16.440 --> 01:00:21.239
final round of end game yet because
it's not ended. I thought I had
786
01:00:21.599 --> 01:00:25.360
never had no end to look at
the ball, it's gonna move, don't
787
01:00:25.400 --> 01:00:30.280
think about the event. And then
like he pulls his knife out. He
788
01:00:30.360 --> 01:00:34.559
pulls his knife out, and then
it's like the end of Rocky. Yeah,
789
01:00:34.760 --> 01:00:38.840
they've charged at each other in this
quarry freeze frame credits beautiful, and
790
01:00:38.960 --> 01:00:43.119
I was like, I enjoyed that. It was just the right level of
791
01:00:43.199 --> 01:00:47.800
silliness. Yeah, I enjoyed it. I'm ready to give it a rating
792
01:00:49.400 --> 01:00:54.559
for I'm going to go for three
silver crates of golden ingots, but they're
793
01:00:54.559 --> 01:00:59.760
still silver Man I can't work like
that. That's that's alchemy. Yeah,
794
01:00:59.880 --> 01:01:01.920
I put it as middle and like
I didn't like it as much as say,
795
01:01:02.159 --> 01:01:07.159
Into Zone. Into Zone was another
Italian film on the podcast few months
796
01:01:07.199 --> 01:01:10.559
back, had me that had me
entertained with the special effects and everything.
797
01:01:12.480 --> 01:01:16.679
But yeah, there is a whole
series of these Italian mad matches, so
798
01:01:17.039 --> 01:01:21.360
that might be it might be a
season going forward. I am going to
799
01:01:21.440 --> 01:01:28.599
give this five silver mutant detectors that
have a limited radius of like two centimeters,
800
01:01:29.039 --> 01:01:32.559
four wet rats. I was going
to go with life plus tablets.
801
01:01:34.480 --> 01:01:39.800
Oh he refuses to drink it at
one points. Yeah, that behavior.
802
01:01:40.039 --> 01:01:53.000
Always drink your lifeless men among men
bless. Okay. So that was three's
803
01:01:53.280 --> 01:01:58.719
endgame Bronx Ladder Finale, which means
Bronx Final Fight, although it was never
804
01:01:58.840 --> 01:02:01.920
released in Italy and initially on the
HS. I think it was a bit
805
01:02:02.039 --> 01:02:07.400
longer for that to matter their loss
m. It was also known as the
806
01:02:07.480 --> 01:02:13.280
Gladiator of the Future in France,
the last game in the Hungarian and the
807
01:02:13.440 --> 01:02:19.079
last game with death. Wow,
that's good. It makes more sense than
808
01:02:19.239 --> 01:02:25.480
Endgame Bronx. A lot of Fenale, but yeah, yeah, that was
809
01:02:25.559 --> 01:02:32.599
released same year as Return of the
Jedi, Ox Pussy, Superman three,
810
01:02:34.280 --> 01:02:37.960
all of those, but it was
mainly a mad Max rip off. It
811
01:02:37.159 --> 01:02:43.239
was produced by Film Rage, who
went on to produce troll To, which
812
01:02:43.320 --> 01:02:46.400
is widely rated as one of the
worst films ever. Yeah, we're not
813
01:02:46.480 --> 01:02:50.159
going to cover it. One of
the people have done it better. It
814
01:02:50.280 --> 01:02:53.920
was directed by Stephen Benson, not
his real name. He also goes by
815
01:02:54.000 --> 01:02:59.880
Joe Armato. That's not his real
name either, which is christ what will
816
01:03:00.039 --> 01:03:02.000
within wheels? None since his day? What's Joe? Had the matter with
817
01:03:02.119 --> 01:03:09.000
you? Even I ris dd a
massa guessie, I've got to have a
818
01:03:09.079 --> 01:03:15.920
stab at his name with We've got
this theory that you know, the more
819
01:03:15.079 --> 01:03:22.039
names that the film has the worst
is Yeah. He is a direct well,
820
01:03:22.079 --> 01:03:24.400
he was a director, produced nearly
two hundred direct credits overall, a
821
01:03:24.519 --> 01:03:31.800
hundred and twenty of those being porno
films, including Porno Holocaust and his Yeah,
822
01:03:32.000 --> 01:03:39.760
and his first credit in two was
More Sexy Canterbury Tales where mid season
823
01:03:39.880 --> 01:03:45.960
the film do you like Canterbury Tales? Do you want more the Catholic Church?
824
01:03:46.039 --> 01:03:49.760
We've made a few changes. Um. Yeah. He was the producer
825
01:03:49.800 --> 01:03:52.519
for inter Zone that we watched a
while back. So if there is a
826
01:03:52.559 --> 01:03:58.119
similarity, I mean it does make
sense. Mid eighties Italian budget films is
827
01:03:58.280 --> 01:04:01.800
very much as Ballpark said, I'm
genuinely another Ballpark. Yeah it's different.
828
01:04:02.199 --> 01:04:06.639
Is that one of these the Ballpark? Probably? It's Yeah. I am
829
01:04:06.679 --> 01:04:12.440
feeling that they just went out to
locations and shot stuff all the same time.
830
01:04:12.679 --> 01:04:15.280
Yeah, pretty much, and then
cut it into different films. Of
831
01:04:15.360 --> 01:04:18.400
all the movies, he said that
he liked this one the best. I've
832
01:04:18.400 --> 01:04:20.960
got a quote here. Each time
I make a movie, it's a little
833
01:04:20.960 --> 01:04:25.280
bit better than the last. I'm
not young, but I'm very enthusiastic.
834
01:04:25.679 --> 01:04:31.239
And then he said in response to
what about Endgame and I know Gladiators of
835
01:04:31.239 --> 01:04:35.480
the Future which was shot simultaneously,
and he said those two films were made
836
01:04:35.519 --> 01:04:40.320
to exploit the success of Mad Max. So there you go. There's no
837
01:04:40.559 --> 01:04:45.960
love lost. So I don't feel
like he was a man that had much.
838
01:04:45.639 --> 01:04:50.519
Shannon was played by our Cliverer real
name Pierre Luigi Conti, which is
839
01:04:50.559 --> 01:04:54.760
the most Italian name I think I've
ever read. Had a bit of French
840
01:04:54.840 --> 01:04:58.639
throwing there as well. Why is
everyone a k A in this fucking film?
841
01:04:59.199 --> 01:05:03.480
Yeah? Literally, he gave up
acting in the ninety nineties to go
842
01:05:03.599 --> 01:05:10.199
and bind sell furniture. In two
thousand and four, absolutely true. In
843
01:05:10.280 --> 01:05:13.039
two thousand and four he was listed
as working at a flea market in Rome,
844
01:05:13.440 --> 01:05:16.559
and now you can stay with him
in a luxury villa in Bali called
845
01:05:16.639 --> 01:05:26.960
Bali Vini, which is which is
described as affordable. Um, yeah,
846
01:05:29.119 --> 01:05:31.519
on your holiday, like it's there. I would, I mean, I
847
01:05:31.639 --> 01:05:35.719
would, how much it is?
That's holiday. I couldn't find it.
848
01:05:35.920 --> 01:05:40.559
I was very much tempted to write
in and it's got lots of reviews on
849
01:05:40.679 --> 01:05:45.920
things like trip Advisor and everything saying
that Luigi the host and his wife Brenda,
850
01:05:45.000 --> 01:05:51.320
I think, but very red from
us. It was. I'd have
851
01:05:51.480 --> 01:05:56.239
more questions for her, to be
honest, but yeah, yeah, they
852
01:05:56.280 --> 01:05:58.920
seemed like quite pleasant. My husband
was in the end game and there were
853
01:05:59.000 --> 01:06:06.719
no Christmas tree. Lilith was played
by Lorette Marcia Gemzer. She was born
854
01:06:06.760 --> 01:06:13.119
in Indonesia and cast by Stephen Benson
Joe Armato pick a name, any name
855
01:06:13.599 --> 01:06:17.800
in the Emmanuel series in the seventies
and was a long time softcore actress,
856
01:06:18.079 --> 01:06:21.840
and she later drifted into costume design, which was clearly a mistake because then
857
01:06:21.880 --> 01:06:27.920
she then provided the costume design and
coordination for troll Too, and then I
858
01:06:28.039 --> 01:06:32.000
think did nothing after that. All
her quotes on IMDb for her films feel
859
01:06:32.079 --> 01:06:36.000
like she's very confused about that period
of time, which makes me feel very
860
01:06:36.039 --> 01:06:43.519
sad about her career. Drug Ninja
was played by Haruhiko Yamanucci, and he
861
01:06:43.599 --> 01:06:46.039
began his career as a mine.
He also starred in The Life Aquatic in
862
01:06:46.079 --> 01:06:50.400
two thousand and four, which is
probably as biggest credit today, just a
863
01:06:50.440 --> 01:06:56.559
couple more Karnak swarthy leathers. That
was George Eastman, not his real name,
864
01:06:57.119 --> 01:07:00.480
Luigi Montefiori. He also co wrote
this scripts. He's now a well
865
01:07:00.559 --> 01:07:05.719
regarded author in Italian television and acts
only occasionally. He later said the idea
866
01:07:05.800 --> 01:07:09.719
was all right, like all the
others, it was made on two smaller
867
01:07:09.760 --> 01:07:13.079
budget. These post atomic films,
which were made in the wake of various
868
01:07:13.119 --> 01:07:15.599
mad Max films, were decidedly crummy. Set designs were poor, and the
869
01:07:15.719 --> 01:07:20.000
genre met the swift and well deserved
death. And apparently he did the DVD
870
01:07:20.559 --> 01:07:25.840
extras. There's a fifteen minute interview
with him, apparently, and he's highly
871
01:07:25.960 --> 01:07:30.199
critical of the stunts and a bit
of a downer, but then we'll pick
872
01:07:30.239 --> 01:07:38.360
it back up with Captain Morgan Gordon
Mitchell real name. I thought he was
873
01:07:38.400 --> 01:07:44.760
going to be called like Semi Balost. I don't know that it's his actual
874
01:07:44.840 --> 01:07:47.519
actual name, but he's not an
Italian um. So he actually served in
875
01:07:47.639 --> 01:07:53.159
World War Two on the Allied side
and he was he was actually at the
876
01:07:53.159 --> 01:07:56.840
Battle of the Bulge where he was
captured, so he had what a story
877
01:07:56.960 --> 01:08:00.440
to tell. Later served in career, became a bodybuilder. Arnold Schwarzenegger attended
878
01:08:00.480 --> 01:08:04.039
his funeral memorial service and he has
a hundred and fifty two acting credits,
879
01:08:04.239 --> 01:08:09.679
including a bit part in Spartacus I
mean as one of like many in the
880
01:08:09.760 --> 01:08:15.199
crowd going um. He later went
on to star in Terror Force Commando,
881
01:08:15.399 --> 01:08:19.960
which is about Camerooneese police officer and
a CIA agent who tried to prevent the
882
01:08:20.039 --> 01:08:26.359
Pope from being assassinated by Italian terrorists
during his African tour. That sounds like
883
01:08:26.439 --> 01:08:30.199
a lot of words, there isn't
it. Yeah, there's a lot of
884
01:08:30.399 --> 01:08:35.560
locations in the Cameroon and Italian terrorists
and the pope should eat the pope.
885
01:08:39.159 --> 01:08:44.600
Yeah, And then Katie had suggested
that Martha Harrison directed it, daughter of
886
01:08:44.680 --> 01:08:46.760
George Harrison, and said that it
was better than anything her dad ever did,
887
01:08:46.960 --> 01:08:49.199
And I was like, I'll try
and pass that offers a fact,
888
01:08:49.239 --> 01:09:04.560
then charline, okay, and then
your facts. Reviews for this overwhelmingly positive,
889
01:09:04.680 --> 01:09:10.079
and I can see why it is
a little nice slice of cult nonsense.
890
01:09:10.800 --> 01:09:14.880
But I will find I'm sure we've
had before this reviewer. No God's
891
01:09:14.920 --> 01:09:18.119
no Masters to six. It sounds
familiar to me, with a four out
892
01:09:18.159 --> 01:09:21.880
of ten. End Game is an
event where three guys hunt another guy in
893
01:09:21.960 --> 01:09:26.960
an urban environment. Ron Shannon is
being hunted in Wins. In this post
894
01:09:27.000 --> 01:09:30.319
atomic world, mutants are being killed. One such mutant as telepathic abilities and
895
01:09:30.439 --> 01:09:33.399
needs to leave the cities. She
hires Run and his cohorts to get her
896
01:09:33.439 --> 01:09:36.640
party out as they enter a mad
Max type of world. This is a
897
01:09:36.760 --> 01:09:41.119
me to film and was not done
well. Really couldn't get into it.
898
01:09:41.520 --> 01:09:45.239
That's not a review. That's tell
me what happens in the film. But
899
01:09:45.399 --> 01:09:48.880
yeah, and everything else was like
glowingly positive. I mean, I don't
900
01:09:48.960 --> 01:09:53.399
understand that one because I thought the
start of that was probably the best bit
901
01:09:53.479 --> 01:09:58.560
of it, and then it just
when the film was called Endgame. It
902
01:09:58.600 --> 01:10:01.000
should have been about end Game.
It's like if you watch Running Man and
903
01:10:01.039 --> 01:10:04.039
all the running Man stuffs over in
the first half hour, and then schwatz
904
01:10:04.119 --> 01:10:09.399
Nigger sets up a fucking jam shop
somewhere. It's it doesn't make sense,
905
01:10:09.680 --> 01:10:13.479
like make them two separate films Endgame, have them play Catton Mouse in an
906
01:10:13.600 --> 01:10:17.560
urban environment, and then have Endgame
to Let's talk about in a quarry only
907
01:10:17.600 --> 01:10:25.600
in Italian, so it sounds classia
nine out of ten. One of the
908
01:10:25.680 --> 01:10:30.800
best of the genre, Dirk to
End Game, is set in a holid
909
01:10:30.840 --> 01:10:35.840
out metropolis in the year futuristic people
are entertained by the ultimate reality show called
910
01:10:36.000 --> 01:10:42.199
Endgame. It's really what Survivor should
be confusing RN Shannon his end Games greatest
911
01:10:42.279 --> 01:10:45.399
champ. Karnak is his bitter rival
during the game and even helps Shannon to
912
01:10:45.439 --> 01:10:49.000
defeat Karnac, but spares his life. Bad move, question mark. Shannon
913
01:10:49.119 --> 01:10:51.600
is then enlisted by a band of
means sensca the city. Of course,
914
01:10:51.640 --> 01:10:55.279
a suitcase full of gold sweets the
deal and he rounds with a band of
915
01:10:55.319 --> 01:10:59.199
cutthroats, including Ninja, the coolest
guy in the film, but he dies
916
01:10:59.279 --> 01:11:02.159
too quick. There are many great
fight scenes, one involving blind monks and
917
01:11:02.239 --> 01:11:08.439
another with a gang led by a
man who is half fish, a very
918
01:11:08.520 --> 01:11:12.239
disturbing scene that we blosted over.
Eventually, the number of the group is
919
01:11:12.279 --> 01:11:15.520
whittled down to Shannon, but the
mission gets accomplished anyway. Shannon is asked
920
01:11:15.600 --> 01:11:18.920
to join the mutants, which he
doesn't do. Not too smart because Lois
921
01:11:19.119 --> 01:11:23.079
is pretty hot, wouldn't you know
it. As the chopper flies out,
922
01:11:23.279 --> 01:11:27.680
some outcomes can actor battle Shannon for
the gold. The movie ends just as
923
01:11:27.720 --> 01:11:30.000
the battle starts, which is actually
a very cool way to finish. I
924
01:11:30.119 --> 01:11:32.680
love this movie a lot. The
first third is a bit slow, but
925
01:11:32.720 --> 01:11:35.600
once they leave the city, the
action is NonStop. The battle with the
926
01:11:35.640 --> 01:11:42.640
blind monks is amazing and exciting.
Motorcycles and gunplay highlight the scene, as
927
01:11:42.720 --> 01:11:45.800
all the scene is is motorbikes just
crash an interview other in it. The
928
01:11:45.880 --> 01:11:48.039
next battle with a group of mutants
is just as cool, except Ninja dies
929
01:11:48.119 --> 01:11:51.159
here and I must say that blows
big time. It's a big bonk on
930
01:11:51.239 --> 01:11:57.119
for Ninja. This lad who did
nothing really did like two kickings. End
931
01:11:57.199 --> 01:12:00.319
game also has a very depressing feel
to it. It really is very bleak.
932
01:12:00.640 --> 01:12:03.159
This was the bit I picked this
one for. Man seems to be
933
01:12:03.239 --> 01:12:08.279
digressing by way of mutations, and
while Lillis group seems to be advanced,
934
01:12:08.439 --> 01:12:12.079
they are hunted down out of fear. To be honest, this bleakness is
935
01:12:12.119 --> 01:12:16.359
what appeals to me. Ron Shannon
is paid by Al Cliver and his performance
936
01:12:16.560 --> 01:12:21.960
is It's understated at best, but
it works here. The real show stealer
937
01:12:23.079 --> 01:12:27.000
is George Eastman as Kirk Karnak.
He dives into his role with flair.
938
01:12:27.199 --> 01:12:30.880
He's ruthless and amoral, just what
a post nuclear world needs. I mean,
939
01:12:31.079 --> 01:12:36.079
thanks for your dissertation there, Dirty
six. It was more of the
940
01:12:36.600 --> 01:12:42.600
It was more than I like the
fact this world is awful, But what
941
01:12:42.760 --> 01:12:47.119
does that say about me? I
mean he described the monk situation as amazing.
942
01:12:47.199 --> 01:12:50.000
I would have said that it was
incredible and that you couldn't credit it
943
01:12:50.159 --> 01:12:56.640
at all. Is a bewildering series
of events that happened. I mean,
944
01:12:56.880 --> 01:12:59.920
that's it. There is no more
to say about this film. In conclusion,
945
01:13:00.199 --> 01:13:04.560
that was three end game, A
end game, the Final Fight also
946
01:13:04.680 --> 01:13:09.720
known as what was it? Gladiators
of the Future Meet Death, the Last
947
01:13:09.800 --> 01:13:15.800
Game with Death Also yeah, it
goes by many names, A good romp
948
01:13:15.960 --> 01:13:18.479
worth worth hunting down if you want
to watch, you know a lot of
949
01:13:18.600 --> 01:13:24.239
dudes on dirt bike's popping wheel is
constantly Who doesn't your favorite your favorite lines
950
01:13:24.279 --> 01:13:31.000
from the film You Were Mutant?
Yes, we also glassed over the line
951
01:13:31.039 --> 01:13:34.600
where the blue mutant says, you
really know how to turn me on?
952
01:13:39.640 --> 01:13:43.880
Look at me while I abuse you. Damn it. Yeah, I sense
953
01:13:44.000 --> 01:13:50.039
he's in trouble, but he's not
dead. Good Bye everybody, bye.
954
01:14:00.079 --> 01:14:02.199
Yeah. What if I set it
on a dragon? What if I set
955
01:14:02.279 --> 01:14:04.319
on that dragon that those blokes are
singing about

into the films are Hallmark Favorites.
Actors and directors would rather forget that they
4
00:00:23.399 --> 00:00:27.239
were ever involved with I'm Joe and
with me as always lovely and clean.
5
00:00:27.359 --> 00:00:31.640
After escaping from the Secret Room of
Blood, It's James, I was so
6
00:00:31.760 --> 00:00:34.920
cold in there, That's what everybody
said about it. Should have put a
7
00:00:34.960 --> 00:00:40.600
top on and fresh from his police
alibi riddled trip to the deli for a
8
00:00:40.640 --> 00:00:44.799
pizza that is all onions. It's
plenty. I am managing a band of
9
00:00:44.880 --> 00:00:50.479
clowns. Bad. So if you
are follow us on Twitter at Hallmark of
10

great all on words or Instagram and
Facebook at Hallmark of Greatness. If you
11
00:00:54.479 --> 00:00:57.679
have a film you think we should
watch because you hate us, send us
12
00:00:57.759 --> 00:01:00.719
an email at Hallmark great at g
mail dot com. How are we are
13
00:01:02.399 --> 00:01:04.719
brilliant? You're on holiday soon?
Well, I'm on I am. I'm
14
00:01:04.760 --> 00:01:08.879
I'm going on a on a big
metal bird. But I had a brilliant
15
00:01:08.959 --> 00:01:18.879
sky. I'm going on that big
golden one to the golden Cities of Yeah.
16
00:01:19.239 --> 00:01:22.120
All before your time. James,
Yeah, no, no, nothing
17
00:01:22.120 --> 00:01:25.959
of this, No, I just
yea. I hope you're going somewhere warm
18
00:01:26.040 --> 00:01:27.840
so that you don't actually have to, you know, burn money all the
19
00:01:27.879 --> 00:01:33.680
time. Yeah, I am,
but unfortunately I burned money on the holiday.
20
00:01:33.719 --> 00:01:38.519
So is that cost deficient? Let's
find out shaved all the dog's hair
21
00:01:38.560 --> 00:01:45.719
off and have woven it into a
blanket grows back very quickly. Right,
22
00:01:45.920 --> 00:01:49.400
let's do this week's film. It's
a good one for what. Yeah,
23
00:01:49.400 --> 00:02:06.159
it's got something going for it.
Night three's endgame are its original Titan endgame
24
00:02:06.319 --> 00:02:15.639
Bronx A Lot of Finale, which
I'm assuming means the final Bronx. Yeah,
25
00:02:15.680 --> 00:02:22.080
Bronx Final Fight. Ah yeah,
man if if Mick Hag, Mick
26
00:02:22.159 --> 00:02:28.039
Hagger, the mayor of Metro City
came out. Um, James, fire
27
00:02:28.199 --> 00:02:30.879
up the machine. Yeah. So
we've got this random plot generator that's driven
28
00:02:30.960 --> 00:02:36.080
by you, the fans, and
it's decided today that it's called the Mecca
29
00:02:36.159 --> 00:02:39.599
Storyline Droid of Logic. It says
it's had to look at endgame Bronx A
30
00:02:39.599 --> 00:02:44.240
Lot of Finale, and it's come
up with Sandra. Endgame is a rural
31
00:02:44.360 --> 00:02:47.759
baby shower planner who must battle rival
martial artists on Fight Island or else,
32
00:02:47.840 --> 00:02:52.719
you will face unknown numbers of intruders
on her property. Along the way,
33
00:02:53.039 --> 00:02:57.479
Sandra encounters Raymond Rugg, a singer
of Sweet Sweet Melodies who doubles as a
34
00:02:57.520 --> 00:03:00.879
drummer in a skifful band. Things
get going when an asteroid hits planet Earth,
35
00:03:01.000 --> 00:03:05.159
and the unlikely duo must work together. Will they come out of this
36
00:03:05.319 --> 00:03:09.240
financially secure to some extent? Yes? An unknown amount of intruders is the
37
00:03:09.360 --> 00:03:15.719
worst amount of intruders? Ye have, don't. That's kind of inspired by
38
00:03:15.800 --> 00:03:19.919
Empire of the Dark. The other
bit that I saw sort of leachd in
39
00:03:20.039 --> 00:03:23.719
from previous episodes is the Fight Island. I think the island is blood Sport
40
00:03:23.800 --> 00:03:25.840
to blood Fist two. Yeah,
good fist too. Sorry not blood Sport,
41
00:03:27.599 --> 00:03:30.039
yes, yes, I think shitter
yeah in the Philippines, and you're
42
00:03:30.080 --> 00:03:35.560
there. Blood Fist two is a
masterpiece, much better. That's where That's
43
00:03:35.560 --> 00:03:38.599
where we got the polls, all
the poll facts. Yeah, it's good.
44
00:03:38.680 --> 00:03:40.960
It's good. Ship. It must
be somewhere more street than I feel.
45
00:03:42.199 --> 00:03:46.479
The actual synopsis, A telepathic mutant
recruits a post World War three TV
46
00:03:46.759 --> 00:03:52.159
game show warrior to lead her band
of mutants to safety. There's a lot
47
00:03:52.159 --> 00:03:57.319
of hyphens in that, and a
lot of too futuristic. The best bit
48
00:03:57.520 --> 00:04:01.479
is the tagline on the actual post
as an end game champion in the year
49
00:04:02.719 --> 00:04:10.199
There's only one way to live dangerously
and I'm based on this film, everything
50
00:04:10.319 --> 00:04:17.160
is dangerous? Do thou want to
live dangerously? I mean I loved this,
51
00:04:17.439 --> 00:04:20.600
to be fair, I liked this
because it reminded me of films I
52
00:04:20.720 --> 00:04:25.720
love. Yeah, it was like
a low budget version of other films.
53
00:04:25.920 --> 00:04:30.600
Yeah, all filmed in what appears
to be an abandoned milk bottle processing.
54
00:04:31.279 --> 00:04:35.240
I didn't expect them to go into
a room somewhere and they be Fallout style
55
00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:41.360
turrets for them to read stories of
what happened to the previous owners. No,
56
00:04:41.439 --> 00:04:45.480
hope, none of that. Just
lots and lots of quarry based actions.
57
00:04:46.319 --> 00:04:49.560
You know. I love a quarry
in a film. We open up
58
00:04:50.600 --> 00:04:57.240
with two did I write them down? And was laughing of the production companies?
59
00:04:57.439 --> 00:05:00.199
Oh yeah, one of them's film
arrage, which is good. That's
60
00:05:00.240 --> 00:05:04.920
because it fills me with rage or
that filmy rage that you get out of
61
00:05:04.959 --> 00:05:09.920
there. These titles look like threads. Didn't it look like a much more
62
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:14.120
serious film. Well it was over
explosion in the background, over a big
63
00:05:14.199 --> 00:05:17.759
mushroom cloudy. Also, music in
this is cracking. It's like someone watched
64
00:05:17.800 --> 00:05:20.519
The Warriors and then when I'm going
to get hit in the head a lot
65
00:05:20.560 --> 00:05:24.959
with a cricket bat and then try
and recreate that. That's the sweet sound
66
00:05:25.000 --> 00:05:30.120
of Carlo Maria Cordio on a Chroma
road synthesizer. I've been told, yeah,
67
00:05:30.639 --> 00:05:33.439
yeah, he did do a brilliant
job. I have no qualms about
68
00:05:33.519 --> 00:05:38.560
the music. It was great.
One bit. I think where they were
69
00:05:38.639 --> 00:05:44.519
driving the Bedford Rascal off it went
a bit and I was like, it's
70
00:05:44.519 --> 00:05:48.120
supposed to be a serious film of
the future here, but we are introduced
71
00:05:48.199 --> 00:05:53.959
to a city. Yes, it's
the Bronx, but it doesn't say that.
72
00:05:54.079 --> 00:05:56.759
It never says it's the Bronx because
it isn't the Bronx. Is that
73
00:05:56.879 --> 00:06:04.040
the titles around the world confirmed it's
an announcers though that it's so not much
74
00:06:04.120 --> 00:06:08.600
longer to go, and actually I
think we are about seventy five of the
75
00:06:08.680 --> 00:06:14.439
way towards the nuclear winter that it
envisages. Yeah, but it also says
76
00:06:14.560 --> 00:06:19.639
that the end Game tournament started in
But this is the one. So do
77
00:06:19.720 --> 00:06:25.480
they do like leap years. Yeah, there's like a winter summer sort of
78
00:06:25.519 --> 00:06:30.680
style Olympics, like Winter end game
and then Summer end game and then Champion
79
00:06:30.720 --> 00:06:39.040
of Champions. It's like and we're
told that the end game. Well,
80
00:06:39.079 --> 00:06:42.439
no, we're sorry. We come
across some mutants. I thought it was
81
00:06:42.439 --> 00:06:46.399
an old chrone. Everyone in this
film who was a mutant looks like a
82
00:06:46.480 --> 00:06:51.639
Russian babushka. Yeah, it makes
weird craven noises. Yeah, scuttling around,
83
00:06:51.680 --> 00:06:57.199
it's brilliant. There's this there's this
tasty looking corpse. Isn't that that's
84
00:06:57.240 --> 00:07:00.040
quite blately just a dummy and these
two, these two people grab it and
85
00:07:00.160 --> 00:07:03.000
pull it, pull it aside,
and in the next shot it's it's a
86
00:07:03.120 --> 00:07:06.079
human. It's an actor, and
it looks nothing like it. And I
87
00:07:06.279 --> 00:07:11.560
was question mark alive. I thought
that because they were knocking rats off it
88
00:07:11.759 --> 00:07:15.040
like left, right and center,
and then the next minute I thought they
89
00:07:15.079 --> 00:07:19.079
were eating it. But then yeah, and it was moving. I was
90
00:07:19.120 --> 00:07:27.839
giggling. The rats were very wet. It was very much. It gave
91
00:07:27.920 --> 00:07:31.439
me give me feelings of a really
annoying little child in a fucking plague tail
92
00:07:31.519 --> 00:07:36.079
game. I thought you'd been activating
like a Manchurian candidate though, were very
93
00:07:36.160 --> 00:07:43.680
wet. Yeah. Please. Fan
rocks up at this point looking for mutants,
94
00:07:43.720 --> 00:07:47.480
and they've got a special mutants scanner
says. This fan looked like it
95
00:07:47.600 --> 00:07:53.800
was made out of Pickford boxes,
and again I was like, why are
96
00:07:53.839 --> 00:07:58.360
they driving around in an ice cream
van? They were very proud of that.
97
00:07:59.279 --> 00:08:03.439
They got it into almost every shot
that the s S Security Services turn
98
00:08:03.519 --> 00:08:07.600
up it. How did they get
that through SS? It was Italy?
99
00:08:11.720 --> 00:08:18.199
I mean nothing changed topical and they've
all got big leather trench. I mean
100
00:08:18.439 --> 00:08:22.160
it's not actual leather, but they've
got big planet coats and they've got masks
101
00:08:22.279 --> 00:08:26.680
on. They see two of those
pariahs run out for no reason and then
102
00:08:26.720 --> 00:08:33.960
get shot, and then a heroine
Lilith, Lilith of the medieval Quite headband.
103
00:08:35.240 --> 00:08:39.799
Yeah, just looks this. I
mean this, this mutant detected gun
104
00:08:39.279 --> 00:08:43.879
very limited ranges off that day,
need to slip about a bit onside and
105
00:08:43.679 --> 00:08:48.279
sent them to a concrete and the
whole thing falls apart. They run off.
106
00:08:48.840 --> 00:08:56.480
The police officers had very big Have
you played um we happy few No,
107
00:08:56.639 --> 00:08:58.720
I've watched a bit of a playthrough
on it. It gave big vibes
108
00:08:58.759 --> 00:09:03.879
of obviously it isn't. But yeah, they chase his mutes down and then
109
00:09:03.919 --> 00:09:07.200
they shoot them. The line he
uses is we don't have anything to fear
110
00:09:07.279 --> 00:09:13.080
from them except contamination, which could
kill you, so surely you should be
111
00:09:13.320 --> 00:09:16.679
fearful of them. I also like
this class of the pariahs. There's a
112
00:09:16.759 --> 00:09:20.440
lot of world building in the first
third right that. Then it goes completely
113
00:09:20.519 --> 00:09:26.879
unheeded for the worry about it later
to a lot of brons too mucho mucho
114
00:09:26.960 --> 00:09:31.840
bronx. Yeah, so we're introduced
at this point, announcement says that it's
115
00:09:31.879 --> 00:09:37.240
the end game. It sort of
cuts to Ron Shannon, who is the
116
00:09:37.279 --> 00:09:41.720
twenty two season long winners. He
said, and non union David Harbor,
117
00:09:43.480 --> 00:09:48.480
have you got one? I didn't. I was too busy just writing down
118
00:09:48.480 --> 00:09:50.240
because I was very pleased with myself. He's painting his face because he's in
119
00:09:50.279 --> 00:09:54.480
the names. It's some kind of
unspoken rule that we've got that this is
120
00:09:54.519 --> 00:09:58.399
what we do now. It's the
future. So you've got to put makeup
121
00:09:58.440 --> 00:10:01.399
on, like because when you go
to the scary bar later, everyone's got
122
00:10:01.519 --> 00:10:09.159
makeup on? Was run Shannon not
a Dell Shannon your things. I was
123
00:10:09.159 --> 00:10:15.159
actually thinking of a wrestler, but
okay, oh yeah, that sounds about
124
00:10:15.279 --> 00:10:18.200
right, and he is the So, from what I can grasp, end
125
00:10:18.320 --> 00:10:24.759
game, right is one person is
on the lamb is running and the other
126
00:10:24.879 --> 00:10:26.840
three people are trying to find them
and kill them. So it's sort of
127
00:10:26.919 --> 00:10:31.559
like Running Man. It's exactly like
Running Man. And also the hinter Lands
128
00:10:31.600 --> 00:10:39.440
a shadow kingdom that can only sustain
a provost or deny it. It's all
129
00:10:39.600 --> 00:10:43.480
like made up stuff like that,
but there's people involved in that. Yeah,
130
00:10:43.519 --> 00:10:46.159
there's a three hundred people in the
league, but that wasn't very clear
131
00:10:46.200 --> 00:10:50.799
at this point. And they're each
given one firearm and then two other weapons,
132
00:10:50.840 --> 00:10:56.159
and if you're found with another weapon, you're disqualified. Yeah, if
133
00:10:56.200 --> 00:11:00.039
you're being hunted, you can hide, hide, No, you can and
134
00:11:00.159 --> 00:11:03.879
yourself in, but you lose points. You have to go for undiscovered for
135
00:11:03.960 --> 00:11:07.600
six hours and then you can hand
yourself in. It's so confusing, but
136
00:11:07.720 --> 00:11:09.440
you don't get any of the loot
for doing that. The loot is that
137
00:11:09.519 --> 00:11:13.799
the other people putting the hunters put
in I guess, so yeah, yeah,
138
00:11:13.960 --> 00:11:16.879
so they are betting against the fact
that you're gonna they're betting on themselves.
139
00:11:18.039 --> 00:11:22.559
Really Yeah, but it was just
very strange. But so del Shannon
140
00:11:22.080 --> 00:11:26.320
has has has has got his pistol, his trust, these cities about to
141
00:11:26.399 --> 00:11:31.399
run away. Yeah, he's got
a whip Indiana Jones style, and he's
142
00:11:31.440 --> 00:11:35.559
got like a boot knife. It's
a cool guy. He's got cool like
143
00:11:37.080 --> 00:11:39.919
new rock goth boots on. I
quite want a pair of them, because
144
00:11:39.919 --> 00:11:45.679
they like you're in Ramstid stomping them
out with them and we're introduced to the
145
00:11:45.840 --> 00:11:50.679
other hunters. Oh my right.
And I like the names. I like
146
00:11:50.840 --> 00:11:56.080
the fact that all get to like
get changed in a bull's eye winning Carolans.
147
00:11:58.360 --> 00:12:01.480
Yeah, his opponents. Woody old
Ridge is the first one. He's
148
00:12:01.519 --> 00:12:07.039
the one that's dressed like a dragon
lord from fucking sky Rim. Yeah.
149
00:12:07.080 --> 00:12:11.240
I called him Alan Featherboy Jones.
That's a good game. It quickly turned
150
00:12:11.279 --> 00:12:13.440
out that it didn't matter that I
named any of these. The last one
151
00:12:13.480 --> 00:12:18.159
who I put the most effort into
the end game is very quickly over.
152
00:12:18.519 --> 00:12:24.399
That's that's Arnold Vishlu from from the
Mummy and Die dark Man, Die the
153
00:12:24.639 --> 00:12:30.200
dark Man. Next up, we've
got gate Man tracks. I've just put
154
00:12:30.519 --> 00:12:37.600
Deadly John Denver. I've put Kung
Fu Cliff Richard. I've got Booty Eizard
155
00:12:37.639 --> 00:12:43.159
because he reminded me a little bit
of Ed. He is a martial arts
156
00:12:43.240 --> 00:12:46.480
expert. I remember. That doesn't
matter, No, it does not matter.
157
00:12:46.399 --> 00:12:52.879
Oh, Gabe man tracks. It
sounds like one of Jeremy's fucking Jeremy
158
00:12:52.919 --> 00:12:56.919
and Superhands is made up man names. And then, last, but not
159
00:12:58.120 --> 00:13:01.960
least, we've got Kurt Karnak Chris
Rea. Yeah, I'm having that.
160
00:13:03.000 --> 00:13:07.159
I went with swarthy leathers and I've
stuck with that throughout. I actually had
161
00:13:07.200 --> 00:13:11.559
to just double check on Google that
it was okay to use the term swarthy,
162
00:13:11.759 --> 00:13:16.720
and I think we're in the clip
doesn't feel like it should be swarthy.
163
00:13:16.759 --> 00:13:18.399
He's fine, Yeah, yeah,
it's fine, it's fine. I've
164
00:13:18.440 --> 00:13:22.759
never heard it used it. I
will say that, like if he is
165
00:13:22.799 --> 00:13:26.120
supposed to be that he was.
He was builled as the number one book.
166
00:13:26.159 --> 00:13:28.840
He's odds book, his favorite to
win. Yeah. All his gear
167
00:13:28.879 --> 00:13:33.080
looked very new though, Like his
leather jacket like was was pristine by the
168
00:13:33.200 --> 00:13:39.440
leather warehouse. Yeah. Maybe he's
just doing so well that he money to
169
00:13:39.039 --> 00:13:43.519
get gear. He's been he's been
entreated yourself to some fine leather goods.
170
00:13:46.799 --> 00:13:52.000
I thought that the game begins.
Yeah, Shannon does a little run because
171
00:13:52.080 --> 00:13:56.879
used to pray. The guy checks
all the guns as well. There's one
172
00:13:56.919 --> 00:13:58.679
guy who's like, yeah, that's
very god and just passes them back to
173
00:13:58.759 --> 00:14:05.440
them either way. This host of
this of this telecast, non union,
174
00:14:05.039 --> 00:14:11.240
Jerry Seinfeld, was was advertising Life
Plus. Well, if you would like
175
00:14:11.320 --> 00:14:15.960

183
00:14:56.000 --> 00:15:01.759
on the Death Star? By the
way, the this these old men having
184
00:15:01.799 --> 00:15:03.279
a meeting on the Death starf you're
part of tricks. Don't depress me,
185
00:15:03.399 --> 00:15:07.919
Lord Vader. It was I didn't
understand because I like, the end game
186
00:15:07.960 --> 00:15:11.879
has started now, so no one
will notice what I thought they were going
187
00:15:11.919 --> 00:15:16.960
to do something? Yeah, was
it they think was when they went and
188
00:15:16.080 --> 00:15:20.039
murdered all the poor people? Yeah, what their plan was? Because I
189
00:15:20.279 --> 00:15:24.120
couldn't figure it out. That's the
only thing I could think of was because
190
00:15:24.159 --> 00:15:31.320
they all far too old to get
out of those chairs. So pretty much
191
00:15:31.600 --> 00:15:35.200
so that the plan is that they're
going to go away and murder all of
192
00:15:35.320 --> 00:15:41.000
the poor people. And the basically
it's the Tory Party conference. Yes,
193
00:15:41.799 --> 00:15:48.000
let's date this any Tory Party conference. You can listen to this when they
194
00:15:48.000 --> 00:15:56.559
don't exist in two years. So
well, el Shannon Christopher Lambert is running
195
00:15:56.639 --> 00:16:00.240
through this one set that they've got, which I'm fairly sure it's from blood
196
00:16:00.279 --> 00:16:06.159
Fist as well. It looks like
the whare that that first opening bit these
197
00:16:06.399 --> 00:16:10.840
bad bastards the police basically because these
people are mutants, they're just poor,
198
00:16:11.480 --> 00:16:15.320
so they just like they just massacre
them. Yeah, this woman screams before
199
00:16:15.360 --> 00:16:18.840
they kick the door through, which
is really impressive. But then you realize
200
00:16:18.879 --> 00:16:22.679
that at least one of them is
probably knows it's coming. She could be
201
00:16:22.759 --> 00:16:29.840
a mutant telepath she could, Yeah, because don't they telepathy? Like Damien
202
00:16:29.919 --> 00:16:33.799
from the Omen is one of them. Yeah. Literally, the only ability
203
00:16:33.879 --> 00:16:37.960
they share is the ability to make
a medieval soup kitchen, which explains the
204
00:16:38.039 --> 00:16:42.720
heads bands. Yeah, all the
sort of lady in waiting hats that they're
205
00:16:42.759 --> 00:16:45.799
wearing. And a little bit later
on, the child's going to lift a
206
00:16:47.279 --> 00:16:48.960
X wing out of a swamp.
Oh could you know? He wouldn't and
207
00:16:48.960 --> 00:16:52.519
then he just throw it at someone. He's got a taste for blood,
208
00:16:52.559 --> 00:16:59.559
now, is mat Yeah? The
police murder all these people. What was
209
00:16:59.600 --> 00:17:03.279
he called. Jimmy Feathers Finds,
finds Del Shannon. They have a fight.
210
00:17:03.640 --> 00:17:07.960
They're shooting guns at each other from
like behind bins two ms away,
211
00:17:07.960 --> 00:17:14.000
and they run out of Spicy Club
and he's like this badass sort of spike
212
00:17:14.039 --> 00:17:15.119
with the nail in it. Yeah, yeah, planking with the nail in
213
00:17:15.200 --> 00:17:19.960
it. It looks like like if
a serial killer went on Scrappy Challenge.
214
00:17:21.960 --> 00:17:23.839
It's what they make. Robert the
Welling going, that's that's not a hot
215
00:17:25.000 --> 00:17:29.640
craft. And they have this fight
and he swings it and he ends up
216
00:17:29.720 --> 00:17:33.279
killing Jimmy Feathers swings it over the
top and Shannon stink around the back,
217
00:17:33.359 --> 00:17:37.960
stabs him. One hunter down and
he pulls the knife out and there's no
218
00:17:37.160 --> 00:17:41.000
blood on it. No, yeah, there is blood in this film,
219
00:17:41.039 --> 00:17:45.480
but yeah, they only when they
remember to put it in. And then
220
00:17:45.519 --> 00:17:49.400
his booty yerards to the second one. He jumps down, shouting ha ha,
221
00:17:51.359 --> 00:17:55.000
kicks him about a bit. Oh
wait, just shooting. This kicking
222
00:17:55.119 --> 00:18:00.480
scene right goes on for ages.
I was watching and it went on and
223
00:18:00.720 --> 00:18:07.119
on, like evil Bill Gates just
really loves kicking people. He also does
224
00:18:07.279 --> 00:18:11.839
one of the best karate moves ever
where he springs back and then springs forward
225
00:18:11.920 --> 00:18:15.519
and kicks him like up her head, and I was like, that's impractical
226
00:18:15.599 --> 00:18:19.359
at best, isn't It was a
karate chop a bit later, which I
227
00:18:19.480 --> 00:18:22.960
really like that. That was straight
out of Star Trek. That was Shannon's
228
00:18:22.960 --> 00:18:30.319
preferred execution method for a while.
This but this, this is like a
229
00:18:30.480 --> 00:18:36.200
five six minute sequence of him just
booting him to fuck where Shannon is nearly
230
00:18:36.240 --> 00:18:38.079
dead and he goes up to him
and then it's time for even more booting
231
00:18:38.160 --> 00:18:41.799
him. Yeah. Well he boats
him, boots and boots him, and
232
00:18:41.839 --> 00:18:45.640
then he's goes to strangle him,
and Shannon, being the wily old sea
233
00:18:45.759 --> 00:18:51.079
dog that he is possibly pretends to
be injured, plays possum and then springs
234
00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:55.480
up, and then the kicking is
reversed and we get another five minutes of
235
00:18:55.599 --> 00:19:00.440
Shannon kicking fucking John Denver's facing.
I don't know why, Like it just
236
00:19:00.559 --> 00:19:04.279
felt we've got ten minutes to fill. Should we do like some choreographed fight
237
00:19:04.400 --> 00:19:08.279
sequences. We'll do that bit now
where we put the camera there and have
238
00:19:08.400 --> 00:19:11.200
him kick at the camera. So
it's like a p o V stort of
239
00:19:11.240 --> 00:19:15.519
thing, which I like because it's
you know, it's tested. It works.
240
00:19:17.559 --> 00:19:19.720
My problem with all of this is
that it was in within about twenty
241
00:19:19.759 --> 00:19:23.799
square meters of the same industrial setting. It did have a nice backdrop that
242
00:19:23.839 --> 00:19:30.119
said no credit. I don't know
if they wrote if it was just already
243
00:19:30.160 --> 00:19:33.920
there, but all supposed to take
over all the end game happens over like
244
00:19:34.079 --> 00:19:38.240
one block by that. Yeah,
I thought it was going to be this
245
00:19:38.400 --> 00:19:45.279
fast labyrinth then like a Running Man
style situation stopping them all ganging up together
246
00:19:45.400 --> 00:19:48.160
and tweating. You don't get the
credits. Then they'd have to turn on
247
00:19:49.440 --> 00:19:52.920
killing. The hunters can't kill each
other, can they. That's not in
248
00:19:52.960 --> 00:19:59.720
the guard, but the night something
if you know the egg is blue right
249
00:19:59.759 --> 00:20:04.119
to let us like the official end
game rules. I do see this coming
250
00:20:04.160 --> 00:20:08.400
to BBC next year with Paddy McGinnis
hosting it. Yeah, Danny Dyer,
251
00:20:11.079 --> 00:20:18.319
Danny Dyer's end game muse slags.
It would be great field with a big
252
00:20:18.440 --> 00:20:27.400
thing in the background. Become prey
for coins, wanking for coins, climbing
253
00:20:27.440 --> 00:20:34.440
for dollars. But yes, so
he murders John Denver and then Kirk Karnak
254
00:20:34.960 --> 00:20:41.200
strolls around the carnus shouting away He's
got Shannon, Shannon, come on,
255
00:20:41.559 --> 00:20:47.160
Shannon, and I'm like, just
dog, is he easy? Looking for
256
00:20:47.240 --> 00:20:52.440
a little girl that's been hidden under
a bed in West York? Shanon,
257
00:20:52.720 --> 00:21:00.200
come on, Niche references there Yorkshire
based crimes. Yeah, he actually is.
258
00:21:00.240 --> 00:21:04.000
Just to get him trapped in another
subcomplex of this very tiny area,
259
00:21:04.240 --> 00:21:07.640
and Shannon runs into it. He
does another little bit of a run and
260
00:21:07.839 --> 00:21:12.319
Lilas is there and announces that he's
in a bit of a trap and she
261
00:21:12.559 --> 00:21:19.200
can help because she's psychic and apparently
psychic works both ways. Yeah, which
262
00:21:19.279 --> 00:21:23.079
I don't think that's true, is
it? Like no other psychic in cinema
263
00:21:23.160 --> 00:21:26.720
has ever been like. It works
like a walkie talky over. It leads
264
00:21:26.759 --> 00:21:32.000
to some wonderful bit of dialogue because
then swarthy Leathers comes in and does a
265
00:21:32.039 --> 00:21:34.799
little nod like this, because she's
still stood there and don't who you are?
266
00:21:36.640 --> 00:21:41.160
Which is visible? Could she make
herself go invisible? Because why would
267
00:21:41.160 --> 00:21:44.079
they? You have just killed her
anywhere because he's not there to kill her.
268
00:21:44.720 --> 00:21:48.000
No, he doesn't get any money
out of that. Again, maybe
269
00:21:48.039 --> 00:21:52.799
you're not allowed to do collateral damage. But he's doing a hide somewhere I
270
00:21:52.839 --> 00:21:56.720
can't see where. And she says
to him telepathically, he has death in
271
00:21:56.799 --> 00:21:59.920
his mind, your death. And
then he goes, are you a muse?
272
00:22:00.680 --> 00:22:07.039
And she goes yes, And you've
got like the dead pan faces as
273
00:22:07.160 --> 00:22:10.720
that's that thought has just played.
It's probably because none of these people can
274
00:22:10.799 --> 00:22:15.079
act to James, if I'm honest, how dare you Al Cliver non Union
275
00:22:15.119 --> 00:22:19.880
Orange Cassidy. It's tremendous as Ron
Shannon of just being like an off brand
276
00:22:19.960 --> 00:22:23.640
clearly eastward squinting into the middle distance. Oh, there's a lot of that.
277
00:22:23.799 --> 00:22:27.599
There's a lot of Sergio Leone rip
offs later on. Yeah, but
278
00:22:27.640 --> 00:22:30.799
you've got a very much well This
is the version that we watches, the
279
00:22:30.839 --> 00:22:33.279
dubbed version, because I'm assuming this
was originally recorded in Italian. Oh yes,
280
00:22:33.519 --> 00:22:37.240
yeah, because when we get to
meet Carnac's mate later on, hey,
281
00:22:37.359 --> 00:22:42.160
you're wise guys. Really my favorite
he should have had should have been
282
00:22:42.160 --> 00:22:47.319
in this. He should have been
that guy in the movie. So anyway,
283
00:22:47.359 --> 00:22:48.960
he says, all right, well
I'm I'm trapped, and she's like,
284
00:22:49.200 --> 00:22:52.279
listen to my advice, and then
she just go and he whips the
285
00:22:52.319 --> 00:22:57.519
gun out of Carl of Carnac's hand
and then they have a rumble. It's
286
00:22:57.519 --> 00:23:04.480
a mad barrel action going. We
just goes donkey kong on him, high
287
00:23:04.519 --> 00:23:08.319
in them down this thing. It
was clearly set up for that, and
288
00:23:08.359 --> 00:23:14.640
then the delivery of it was so
like cluster like kick him Channing and he's
289
00:23:14.680 --> 00:23:19.200
like, oh my uncle, I've
done so much kicking. It's with it.
290
00:23:19.559 --> 00:23:22.920
There's a lot of barrel action because
when we meet I think he's mate.
291
00:23:23.000 --> 00:23:26.839
Later on he throws the barrel at
him. We were all throwing barrels
292
00:23:26.839 --> 00:23:30.759
in the Eighth. I wish I
could go back. You don't mention that
293
00:23:30.799 --> 00:23:34.839
in that song, did they with
respectably? The eight used to throw barrels
294
00:23:34.839 --> 00:23:40.359
at people and he gets Karnak down
and he pulls his knife on him and
295
00:23:40.480 --> 00:23:45.240
he's like and the camera crew with
two camera men covered in ductor. For
296
00:23:45.359 --> 00:23:48.559
some reason, they come up because
this is the only death, but that
297
00:23:48.759 --> 00:23:53.160
wasn't coincidentally near CCTV so that they
could capture it anyway to found the one
298
00:23:53.279 --> 00:23:56.880
spot that was and they said,
we've got cameras all around the city and
299
00:23:56.000 --> 00:24:04.400
remote control cameras and two guys dressed
like make your own KKK outfits disco KKK
300
00:24:06.000 --> 00:24:11.480
yes, redneck um and they like, do it kill him? And Shannon
301
00:24:11.599 --> 00:24:17.119
goes, no, I've I've one. He yields, so I think I
302
00:24:17.480 --> 00:24:21.480
get the prize, and they oh, he's the new favorite of the championship
303
00:24:22.319 --> 00:24:26.880
game. Championship game that never ends. It should be called never ending games.
304
00:24:27.680 --> 00:24:32.759
Yeah, he doesn't confusing rules.
He doesn't drink his life plus,
305
00:24:32.839 --> 00:24:36.200
which has been handed to him,
which looks a lot like water. Boom
306
00:24:36.240 --> 00:24:41.799
boom guys. He hears lights calling
for help. In his mind goons are
307
00:24:41.839 --> 00:24:45.359
taking her away, hired goons,
so he drops his life. I think,
308
00:24:45.359 --> 00:24:48.119
actually I think he hands the drink. He goes, He goes,
309
00:24:48.319 --> 00:24:52.880
you drink it. And hands it
to Jerry Seinfeld. Yeah, and then
310
00:24:52.920 --> 00:24:57.480
he runs off these two hired goons
dragging little off. He does it,
311
00:24:57.559 --> 00:25:00.519
he tries to do it like a
pithy thing to them. They're like,
312
00:25:00.680 --> 00:25:02.960
you can't tell us what to do, and he just boops him in the
313
00:25:03.039 --> 00:25:08.039
stone. Not one for subtle thing, No James Bond style oneliners from Shannon.
314
00:25:08.240 --> 00:25:11.720
No, it's just booth to the
stack to the yam bag. There's
315
00:25:11.880 --> 00:25:15.920
another little bit with the General's as
well. They say that they want to
316
00:25:15.960 --> 00:25:22.119
get him back and also an unspecified
child or and I quote they will fail.
317
00:25:22.279 --> 00:25:27.880
I want to be any more specific. Says I need to hire you
318
00:25:29.240 --> 00:25:33.920
to get me and some other mutants
out of the city to a safe location.
319
00:25:33.279 --> 00:25:37.119
And he goes, nah, fuck
you, I'm not doing that.
320
00:25:37.319 --> 00:25:41.000
I'm Ron Shannon Um. And she
goes, what if I introduce you to
321
00:25:41.880 --> 00:25:53.799
the head teacher from Boy Meets World, Will ned Flanders. Yeah, he's
322
00:25:53.799 --> 00:25:57.200
got a turtle there and he that's
oh yeah, he's rocking that look.
323
00:25:57.519 --> 00:26:03.279
And she shows him his room with
Mr Feeney and the boy in a caravan.
324
00:26:03.440 --> 00:26:07.640
It's another one. It's just made
up of caravan. This caravan was
325
00:26:07.680 --> 00:26:12.640
the exact same layout as my granddad's
in the eighties and very familiar one.
326
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:17.200
But yeah, the rest of the
city did actually look like skegness. Why
327
00:26:17.279 --> 00:26:26.920
not end game beating each other the
death of sticks a rock And he's like,
328
00:26:26.640 --> 00:26:32.279
we can't stay here because like the
bad bastards are after us. Don't
329
00:26:32.359 --> 00:26:38.160
use that toilet into which we don't
past. Yeah, he's not gone back
330
00:26:38.240 --> 00:26:44.200
to my apartment. Yeah, and
then it explains that Mr Feeney isn't a
331
00:26:44.279 --> 00:26:47.759
mute and wishes he was one.
He's well up for that though. He
332
00:26:47.799 --> 00:26:51.480
wants to establish a race that's telepathic
and then they can conquer the world and
333
00:26:51.640 --> 00:26:56.480
then the universe universe. And I
was like, that's not good, is
334
00:26:56.519 --> 00:27:00.960
it. Conquering? Conquering is not
the word I would use, like assimilating
335
00:27:00.039 --> 00:27:03.680
into the rest of the world,
like making the world a better place.
336
00:27:03.880 --> 00:27:07.359
Conquer is not a good word unless
it's on a No, it's not done
337
00:27:07.359 --> 00:27:12.480
in a German accent either. He
agrees. He sort of agrees because Li
338
00:27:12.839 --> 00:27:15.599
is like, oh, go on, I'll let you have a go on
339
00:27:15.680 --> 00:27:18.640
the front these and he's like,
all right, then, I guess I
340
00:27:18.720 --> 00:27:22.519
need to put a group together.
Though for some reason we get the best
341
00:27:22.759 --> 00:27:30.240
Dirty Dozen style recruitments. Yeah,
we go to Bulls Jim. I think
342
00:27:30.319 --> 00:27:33.960
it is. It is. Every
kind of fighting happens in Bulls gym.
343
00:27:34.200 --> 00:27:37.799
There's no rules in Bulls gym as
long as you bring your own underpants and
344
00:27:37.880 --> 00:27:42.640
you're fighting. Nothing else. Only
I may wear an eyepad that nobody else
345
00:27:42.720 --> 00:27:48.000
is allowed. The reason for that
being is that Bull is pirates having a
346
00:27:48.160 --> 00:27:53.960
bar dem Yes, yeah, he's
great because he's Shannon's like, I need
347
00:27:55.039 --> 00:27:57.720
to put a group together. Bull
says, now, all these people in
348
00:27:57.759 --> 00:28:02.480
there a fannies, you don't want
them? And he goes, what about
349
00:28:02.480 --> 00:28:07.079
that dude just stood there flexing like
the older met warrior And he goes,
350
00:28:07.200 --> 00:28:15.119
oh him, Ninja, And I'm
like, I did get eliminator feels from
351
00:28:15.200 --> 00:28:25.400
this particular character, the one Ninja
Mr and Mrs Ninja. Did you create
352
00:28:25.519 --> 00:28:30.759
the air fryer? The big expensive
push to do one with those got one?
353
00:28:30.799 --> 00:28:33.720
It's lush, the one that's got
the steam and grill, just the
354
00:28:33.759 --> 00:28:41.039
lot, just the who sponsored by
again Life plus Men among Men by Life
355
00:28:41.039 --> 00:28:49.240
Plus Drink, Life plus and paste
blood. Yeah, so bull who owns
356
00:28:49.359 --> 00:28:53.799
the gym Bulls Jim. He orders
a man to attack the Ninja. Sorry,
357
00:28:53.920 --> 00:29:00.519
Ninja, so he could noting he's
not a definite art just so he
358
00:29:00.559 --> 00:29:03.440
can show off his skills, and
Ninja just straight up burders a dude.
359
00:29:03.759 --> 00:29:06.279
Pull right. This was a bit
that I was worried about because bulls Jim
360
00:29:06.400 --> 00:29:08.880
is not a safe place to train
because that punching bag he was punching,
361
00:29:10.079 --> 00:29:12.680
that's the fucking machette hidden in it. And if you punch that wrong.
362
00:29:14.400 --> 00:29:18.000
Yeah, but he goes, maybe
he'll fight if he's attacked. All right,
363
00:29:18.119 --> 00:29:27.880
random kids attack him, random bloke
makes a noise that he goes and
364
00:29:29.039 --> 00:29:33.400
then yeah, Ninja just murders him, goes back to flexing. Bull goes
365
00:29:33.400 --> 00:29:37.680
to check his pulse and Ninja goes, there is no point he's dead.
366
00:29:37.559 --> 00:29:44.559
Man's was just working out. It
was like day for fox sake. So
367
00:29:44.720 --> 00:29:48.480
if your top advice from Last Orders, if you're ever in a gym and
368
00:29:48.759 --> 00:29:52.759
someone gets you to attack someone else, don't because they will murder you.
369
00:29:52.039 --> 00:29:56.599
Don't start on the one dude who
looks like his name is don't. Don't
370
00:29:56.680 --> 00:30:03.119
start with the one guy who's name
who is named the Killers. Oh but
371
00:30:03.319 --> 00:30:04.359
yeah, and so he's like,
right, do you want'll be on my
372
00:30:04.480 --> 00:30:08.440
team, and he goes, yeah, all right, it's the weirdest bit.
373
00:30:08.640 --> 00:30:11.599
But then we get to the best
bit. Oh yeah, where he
374
00:30:11.759 --> 00:30:18.880
pulled Ron Shannon and his little golf
car pulls up to an abandoned like office
375
00:30:18.960 --> 00:30:26.359
building home to several rolling barrels.
It's almost like tumbleweed. As he's walking
376
00:30:26.440 --> 00:30:30.279
along, a barrel rolls across and
he goes and a guy behind him in
377
00:30:30.359 --> 00:30:34.160
like a pink ball camouflage outfit comes
out and he whips the gun out of
378
00:30:34.200 --> 00:30:38.880
his hand. But then we're introduced
to Kovak, Kovacs Mate, and Mr
379
00:30:40.240 --> 00:30:45.400
I've got that weapon that Feathers McGraw
had to befar and Kovacs Mate is the
380
00:30:45.519 --> 00:30:53.079
best guy in this All three stooges
rolled into one. This Kovac in his
381
00:30:53.200 --> 00:30:56.319
gang looked like Dad's army if it
was setting the D and D universe.
382
00:31:00.279 --> 00:31:03.839
For some reason, they live in
the Heidi high set. Figure any of
383
00:31:03.960 --> 00:31:08.880
this out, He gets something,
isn't it? Yeah? But I don't
384
00:31:08.920 --> 00:31:12.000
even know his name, Kovacs Mate. It's like I'm the king around He
385
00:31:12.240 --> 00:31:18.359
sc and he's going and like Shannon
just ignores him, like he's not even
386
00:31:18.519 --> 00:31:22.480
attaining this break, and he goes
are you Kovak and he goes, yeah,
387
00:31:22.519 --> 00:31:26.519
I am, and I hear you're
very strong. Kovacs mate, He's
388
00:31:26.559 --> 00:31:33.799
like pay attention and then he just
like if you say another thing to maybe
389
00:31:33.839 --> 00:31:37.359
the last thing you ever say.
And then they just recruit Kovak. They
390
00:31:37.440 --> 00:31:40.119
never get to see Kovac's mate again. They could have done with his mates
391
00:31:40.200 --> 00:31:48.319
as well. He's a loose canon
ay Covac's mate, high pitch Mario Gabag.
392
00:31:51.160 --> 00:31:55.160
And then we get to a dive
bar that's playing generic Dr Hugh music
393
00:31:55.240 --> 00:32:00.200
in the background. In the future
there is still pinball, yes, and
394
00:32:00.559 --> 00:32:06.640
and bar's limaide because that's all that
Kovac's drinks. I didn't spark. He's
395
00:32:06.680 --> 00:32:12.160
just got this this this glass of
green pop. Yeah, that's all the
396
00:32:12.279 --> 00:32:17.400
names drink, isn't it. It's
that swepts ginger ale again Gership. The
397
00:32:17.519 --> 00:32:23.000
crew are sat down scheming and jaw. I think his name is non union
398
00:32:23.039 --> 00:32:27.119
Ian McShane. I've got him down. Oh very good. I don't know
399
00:32:27.160 --> 00:32:29.680
why he's got a Japanese name.
Anyway, he walks in and they throw
400
00:32:29.720 --> 00:32:34.200
a knife at him and he throws
it right back. Test test his reactions
401
00:32:34.759 --> 00:32:39.039
and that there's better ways. Pinball
machine there. Yeah, see how can
402
00:32:39.160 --> 00:32:43.759
use it? Slaps He's no,
he just picks out was it at the
403
00:32:43.799 --> 00:32:45.839
table, and then they all do
a big thumbs up and they're like,
404
00:32:45.880 --> 00:32:50.039
welcome to the team, random dude. Um, So that's that's another piece
405
00:32:50.079 --> 00:32:52.000
of advice from us that if you
ever get any projectile thrown at you in
406
00:32:52.079 --> 00:32:55.079
a pub, you throw it right
back. Yeah, being a job in
407
00:32:55.119 --> 00:33:00.440
it for you. He offers them
all he's going to be paid a big
408
00:33:00.519 --> 00:33:04.920
box of gold. Yeah, And
he says he'll give them two bars of
409
00:33:05.039 --> 00:33:07.920
gold each for help, knowing full
well that they're not gonna No one's gonna
410
00:33:07.920 --> 00:33:13.160
make it's suicide mission. This has
been a bit suspicious about the bars of
411
00:33:13.240 --> 00:33:15.240
gold because that sounds like a very
generic treasure, doesn't it. But it's
412
00:33:15.319 --> 00:33:21.079
spot on the money. This doesn't
skimp in treasure is actually he says,
413
00:33:21.359 --> 00:33:23.880
there's no money up front. We're
doing this on on on, like an
414
00:33:23.920 --> 00:33:30.039
honor system. And we cut to
Karnak in a shooting range with a shotgun,
415
00:33:30.359 --> 00:33:35.240
just peppering the funk out of everything
with it shooting through this these moving
416
00:33:35.720 --> 00:33:37.960
things. I'm like, wow,
you are very good at this, Yes,
417
00:33:38.079 --> 00:33:43.079
but with a shotgun not known for
their accuracy really get that range as
418
00:33:43.119 --> 00:33:46.920
well. But bless him, he's
having fun with it. Like the general
419
00:33:47.079 --> 00:33:53.359
guy comes in. I put him
down as Captain Morgan. It's not Colonel
420
00:33:53.440 --> 00:34:02.079
Morgan. I think Major Morgan.
There's a reference from Niche and he's like,
421
00:34:02.599 --> 00:34:06.200
they're going to move a load of
mutants out of the city and Shannon's
422
00:34:06.240 --> 00:34:08.039
involved and like he made you look
like a right fanny and he's like,
423
00:34:08.199 --> 00:34:12.039
I don't care. And he's like, oh, go and do it and
424
00:34:12.119 --> 00:34:14.559
we'll you know, we'll give you
a heart or an eye patch something.
425
00:34:14.639 --> 00:34:19.239
I don't know people's motivation, and
this is very wully. Shannons is fine.
426
00:34:19.280 --> 00:34:22.360
He's doing it for gold all of
like the dirty doesn't. He's got,
427
00:34:22.440 --> 00:34:25.480
he's put together, the crew he's
put together. He wouldn't trust even
428
00:34:25.519 --> 00:34:28.639
that they'd be like, oh yeah, we get paid at the end.
429
00:34:28.880 --> 00:34:32.320
Like there's no like, oh well, he's king of the end game.
430
00:34:32.480 --> 00:34:35.840
I know, but from his point
of view on the top of the end
431
00:34:35.880 --> 00:34:39.599
game Premiership, he's not in the
end game besa homes league, is he
432
00:34:39.760 --> 00:34:44.360
Like? It's so I guess like
the star struck by it as well.
433
00:34:44.599 --> 00:34:46.559
I don't know. I don't think
they know how motivation works in this field.
434
00:34:46.599 --> 00:34:51.320
But I'll get to another bit where
there's Yeah, Lilath gathers all the
435
00:34:51.400 --> 00:34:53.880
mutants, all ten of them as
ten. Yeah, and they marched past
436
00:34:53.920 --> 00:34:59.039
the local idiots and skeletons and cages
to the crew who don't look at them.
437
00:34:59.079 --> 00:35:01.760
I think it's like shields. They
don't know what cargo they're transporting,
438
00:35:01.920 --> 00:35:06.599
which is at what point of the
Channon hasn't Shannon hasn't told them their mutants.
439
00:35:06.719 --> 00:35:08.719
No, he's just told them they're
transporting something out into the desert.
440
00:35:08.760 --> 00:35:12.320
I think I'm sure he said it's
people. There's people that want out of
441
00:35:12.360 --> 00:35:15.960
the city. Yeah, not not
mutants. You don't care about them.
442
00:35:15.079 --> 00:35:20.159
Yeah, all the old nanners and
people, a lot of wet rats in
443
00:35:20.239 --> 00:35:25.079
the bag. It's just reminded me
of that knitted fernannas and at the Russian
444
00:35:25.159 --> 00:35:30.239
Eurovision entry as well. Yeah,
is not the one the year after with
445
00:35:30.360 --> 00:35:36.719
all the bounty ladies. Yeah,
it's from one extreme to another, that
446
00:35:36.880 --> 00:35:44.719
wasn't it. So they traveled cross
country the load of Bedford Rascal. It's
447
00:35:44.760 --> 00:35:47.039
got some it's got some miles on
it. What they've used there, Oh,
448
00:35:47.199 --> 00:35:51.639
it's it's a beautiful it's like it's
not even a transit. It's Yeah,
449
00:35:52.079 --> 00:35:54.320
but they've put like a goodess nest
on the top, and there's a
450
00:35:54.400 --> 00:36:00.559
ladder that falls off constantly. Yeah. Not secured that. They've got two
451
00:36:00.599 --> 00:36:04.440
bikes and a buggy as well,
which turns up a lot in this until
452
00:36:04.480 --> 00:36:09.039
it's fiery demise and act for a
buggy that can fire fire what never does?
453
00:36:09.440 --> 00:36:14.880
Yeah, was that there buggy or
was that something Else's? Probably that's
454
00:36:15.519 --> 00:36:20.119
Ron Shannon's buggy, a k a. The firebug. Yeah, but yeah,
455
00:36:20.119 --> 00:36:24.559
they set off on this this bewildering
quest in the no man's land and
456
00:36:24.639 --> 00:36:29.159
buy some screen to loot some corpses, the first of many screens. I
457
00:36:29.280 --> 00:36:30.760
was fair a lot of degree.
You must have been happy with that was
458
00:36:31.239 --> 00:36:34.920
It's been a while since we've had
screen. I think we have a gong
459
00:36:35.039 --> 00:36:42.320
sound for the screen. I'm not
using that system anymore. Kovacs says mutants
460
00:36:42.360 --> 00:36:45.800
and spits on him, which I
thought was a bit tactless given his new
461
00:36:45.840 --> 00:36:47.679
employer, But it makes sense now
that he did. He doesn't know and
462
00:36:47.840 --> 00:36:52.039
like little bites her tongue a bit, and she's not going to rain and
463
00:36:52.159 --> 00:36:59.039
go like, oh, it's not
worth it. Yeah. The Professor explains
464
00:36:59.079 --> 00:37:02.920
that their mutys that they see on
the corps as a regressive involution, not
465
00:37:04.920 --> 00:37:07.960
because one of them is blue and
it's got He's like when we were monkeys
466
00:37:07.039 --> 00:37:09.639
and I was like, one of
them looks like Planet the Ape, yet
467
00:37:10.039 --> 00:37:13.400
very much so. And then he's
like, from when we were aped,
468
00:37:13.559 --> 00:37:15.480
or even when we lived in the
sea, and I was like, we
469
00:37:15.559 --> 00:37:20.599
weren't more people were, No,
I don't think so, I don't know.
470
00:37:20.800 --> 00:37:23.719
I'm not child. Watching a lot
of ancient aliens on the History Channel,
471
00:37:24.280 --> 00:37:29.800
Jesus, a lot of those people
that are upset about this new mermaid
472
00:37:29.920 --> 00:37:34.440
being black would have been happy because
this mermaid man was green. That wouldn't
473
00:37:35.119 --> 00:37:39.559
I guess surely they'd be silvery though, because anyway, Fessor says that they're
474
00:37:39.639 --> 00:37:44.039
trying that. You know, he
says that mutants in general are a better
475
00:37:44.199 --> 00:37:47.199
race. I thought I should stop
saying that again. It gets a bit
476
00:37:47.760 --> 00:37:53.159
conquering master race. There is a
little bit here where it's all I could
477
00:37:53.239 --> 00:37:55.639
all I could see was when they're
talking about the child too old, the
478
00:37:55.719 --> 00:38:02.719
boy is training you cannot because it
is this the bit where he like Lilith
479
00:38:02.880 --> 00:38:07.800
and the boy mucking about nurse and
water. I think that's a bit later,
480
00:38:07.880 --> 00:38:10.199
but go on, it doesn't matter. I mean, we've got a
481
00:38:10.280 --> 00:38:14.440
fight before then, I think,
haven't we We've got the Blind Gang.
482
00:38:14.599 --> 00:38:17.239
I'm sure it's before the Blind Gang
because things. I think it was there.
483
00:38:19.000 --> 00:38:22.119
He's levitating, levitating this rock with
his mind and Channon's like, what
484
00:38:22.360 --> 00:38:25.280
the funk is going on here,
and Lilith explains that, like, he
485
00:38:25.559 --> 00:38:30.400
is one of the better mutants because
he can move it, you control stuff
486
00:38:30.400 --> 00:38:35.519
with his mind and ship, but
she shields him with her mind to stop
487
00:38:35.599 --> 00:38:42.440
him feeling emotions or some ship that
would explain his blank expression to film the
488
00:38:42.519 --> 00:38:45.519
fact that yeah, he was literally
come on, it was only about nine
489
00:38:46.079 --> 00:38:57.559
the mil I think he's only got
one other acting credit for I don't remember
490
00:38:57.599 --> 00:39:00.480
what it was, but it wasn't
much long afterwards. And then you went
491
00:39:00.519 --> 00:39:02.960
off and became a dog, the
bounty hunter. I don't know he didn't
492
00:39:02.960 --> 00:39:07.280
do this, but yeah, they
explained that all the waters poisoned because the
493
00:39:07.360 --> 00:39:10.559
world is dinging because of the war, and it pans into this lake and
494
00:39:10.599 --> 00:39:15.400
then pans up and we've got a
card act just watching. Yeah, you
495
00:39:15.440 --> 00:39:19.800
shouldn't swim in that lake, by
the way, not because it's a radiated
496
00:39:20.079 --> 00:39:23.079
because it is a quarry. Don't
swim in top again, a lot of
497
00:39:23.159 --> 00:39:28.360
public safety advice today, no matter
how high it is. Don't swimming carries
498
00:39:28.440 --> 00:39:30.159
quarries because it's deeper than you think, it's colder than you think, and
499
00:39:30.199 --> 00:39:34.119
there's things that will touch your legs
in there. There's probably bodies in there.
500
00:39:34.320 --> 00:39:38.960
I think it's like a m deep
water where you can't see the bottom.
501
00:39:39.000 --> 00:39:43.480
Nope, thank you, Nope,
not for me. It's yeah,
502
00:39:43.519 --> 00:39:49.480
it's it's body soup. Essentially.
Around this time, they encounter a village
503
00:39:49.559 --> 00:39:52.159
and they decide that they're going to
go through it because there's no ring road
504
00:39:52.239 --> 00:39:57.679
for the settlement, so they decided
to send two bikes into the town square.
505
00:39:57.960 --> 00:40:01.599
What happens next they it's this is
a blur to me. It's the
506
00:40:01.719 --> 00:40:07.079
longest scene in the whole film,
But like, what is going on with
507
00:40:07.199 --> 00:40:12.840
these blind men? So many of
these monks of the Lord as they call
508
00:40:12.920 --> 00:40:15.039
them. So yeah, they're still
they're going, all right, we're in
509
00:40:15.159 --> 00:40:21.320
this like barracks again. Looks familiar, can because your Kovac is your mate
510
00:40:21.360 --> 00:40:25.840
knocking them out here, and he's
like, but this. This dude all
511
00:40:25.920 --> 00:40:29.920
in black, black cape up,
face covered, comes out and he's like,
512
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:36.440
welcome friends, I am spooky Jeremy. Let me you know. Do
513
00:40:36.639 --> 00:40:40.159
you have we are? It's like
he's he's their monks. I believe they're
514
00:40:40.159 --> 00:40:45.199
supposed to be. And he's like, but do not worry because we cannot
515
00:40:45.199 --> 00:40:49.360
see. It's example, he's got
like cataract eyes. What are you selling?
516
00:40:49.519 --> 00:40:52.159
What are you selling? It's I
proved that he is blind. Shannon
517
00:40:52.199 --> 00:40:59.719
waves a gun at Yeah. They
want food or the trade? Have you
518
00:40:59.760 --> 00:41:04.280
brought food? Have you brought provisions? And as he's saying this, thousands
519
00:41:04.360 --> 00:41:09.760
more of these appear, like the
cloak manufacturer and that village. She must
520
00:41:09.760 --> 00:41:15.280
be doing a roaring trade. Yeah
either. At this point, explains that
521
00:41:15.360 --> 00:41:19.039
they have a telepathic prisoner who tells
them stuff. How can they see?
522
00:41:19.440 --> 00:41:22.079
They see through his eyes, but
he's in a he can't see them.
523
00:41:23.119 --> 00:41:30.880
He's looking at a wall. We
see later on the motivation. He's been
524
00:41:30.960 --> 00:41:34.440
captured by them and strong up.
He looks like one of the Lost Boys
525
00:41:34.480 --> 00:41:37.159
as well, didn't he He does
look to come from and that gets pushed
526
00:41:37.159 --> 00:41:43.639
into the bathtub and explodes. The
darkest timeline one so anyway, as they
527
00:41:43.719 --> 00:41:46.880
get closer and closer, all these
lads with Swards and Darth vadercapes on.
528
00:41:47.199 --> 00:41:52.559
Just shooting happens right, and everyone
shooting. Everyone got loads of grenades.
529
00:41:53.079 --> 00:41:57.960
It is brilliant, which only blow
up one person at a time, and
530
00:41:58.000 --> 00:42:02.639
then everyone else runs away because the
telepathic man has been like, oh there's
531
00:42:02.639 --> 00:42:07.280
been an explosion there, run away
over there, you're getting shot at.
532
00:42:07.440 --> 00:42:10.719
Hide behind this barrel. He must
be coordinating like dozens of people at a
533
00:42:10.840 --> 00:42:15.679
time. It doesn't make any sense. It's a powerful but it works.
534
00:42:15.920 --> 00:42:20.440
It works because they start to swarm
the van, killing a crewman I think
535
00:42:20.920 --> 00:42:23.800
some random dudy we don't know about. Channon does a sweet ramp of a
536
00:42:23.880 --> 00:42:29.519
bike like I don't know why because
it was there. You he got like
537
00:42:29.599 --> 00:42:32.440
two foot of air at that time. Ninja results to kicking, just kicking.
538
00:42:34.559 --> 00:42:36.719
Well, he uses a gun for
a bit, but then he's got
539
00:42:36.800 --> 00:42:43.679
like a crossbow gauntlet fingers that yeah, yeah, he's got a I'd called
540
00:42:43.719 --> 00:42:50.480
it yeah because and then trademark like
Kovacs just smashing people, bombing him on
541
00:42:50.519 --> 00:42:53.960
the head comedy style with these giant
hands. Someone I don't know who it
542
00:42:54.079 --> 00:42:57.599
is. I can't remember what he's
called. The guy that's up on the
543
00:42:57.679 --> 00:43:00.840
turret with like the inspector gadget coat
on, and that the bandoliers because he
544
00:43:00.920 --> 00:43:05.440
features quite prominently. Yes, but
he hasn't given he's never we never meet
545
00:43:05.519 --> 00:43:10.000
him. Infinite infinite bullets by the
way, in this in this truck,
546
00:43:10.079 --> 00:43:14.079
as we discover later in the film, if you look closely and the belt
547
00:43:14.119 --> 00:43:19.760
doesn't feed through. But he's just
going off the top of this thing.
548
00:43:20.239 --> 00:43:22.800
Um Shannon being the hero, he's
like, well, we have to destroy
549
00:43:23.119 --> 00:43:27.360
the mutant and then they'll be blind. So he finds the mutant, does
550
00:43:27.480 --> 00:43:30.159
some spin cakes, shoot some people
with his never ending bullet gun, and
551
00:43:30.239 --> 00:43:34.360
then like freeze the mutant. No, no, he loves an axe at
552
00:43:34.400 --> 00:43:37.199
his head. He kills him.
He kills him out right right. I
553
00:43:37.280 --> 00:43:39.880
missed that because I must have been
doing with you laughing, because I think
554
00:43:39.920 --> 00:43:45.039
at one point they make the he
man laser noise and I was like,
555
00:43:45.159 --> 00:43:50.599
that's and then everyone goes then have
on the rest of the monks. They
556
00:43:51.159 --> 00:43:55.920
and blind. It's all gone dark, yeah, and then they're staggering around.
557
00:43:57.360 --> 00:44:00.079
It was like that before you couldn't
see you can only see what the
558
00:44:00.280 --> 00:44:04.480
newtant saw and he couldn't see anything. Listen, right, the mutant side
559
00:44:04.639 --> 00:44:07.559
like telepathy thing and this is sketchy
at best. Best not to poke around
560
00:44:07.639 --> 00:44:12.039
in that murky swamp and what was
this splevation? Anyway, he was chained
561
00:44:12.079 --> 00:44:15.559
up by them, So you know
they just then step around all these blind
562
00:44:15.719 --> 00:44:19.960
monks again. Yeah, they just
like fuck you, why are they all
563
00:44:20.039 --> 00:44:24.400
blind? As well? That's never
fully but I do like effects us all
564
00:44:24.440 --> 00:44:28.960
in the stereos phase. I like
that they thought about, well, you
565
00:44:29.039 --> 00:44:31.320
know, the combat potential of a
mutant, it's just paired well with a
566
00:44:31.360 --> 00:44:35.000
society of blind people. Didn't really
work, but I like that they were
567
00:44:35.039 --> 00:44:38.519
thinking about it. Look at ages
to trap him. I did think that
568
00:44:38.639 --> 00:44:42.320
as well. With the curvy swords, they just formed a ring. But
569
00:44:42.599 --> 00:44:45.519
yeah, they peel out, they
get onto the bikes and the buggy that
570
00:44:45.639 --> 00:44:49.199
the Bedford Rascal pulls out knocks one
of them over and runs his head over.
571
00:44:49.440 --> 00:44:52.679
Yeah. I thought was gratuitous but
fun. Yeah, and that was
572
00:44:52.760 --> 00:44:57.639
the that was the that was the
tagline for the films beyond and that was
573
00:44:57.840 --> 00:45:00.599
that was the fight. That was
the the Black Monk fight. Yeah,
574
00:45:01.480 --> 00:45:07.039
at this point where about sixty minutes
into this ninety four minute film, it
575
00:45:07.159 --> 00:45:12.000
moves along at a breakneck pace.
Now yeah, they start approaching a building
576
00:45:12.079 --> 00:45:15.800
with Son of Death written on it, which is full of dead and sacrifice
577
00:45:15.880 --> 00:45:19.519
people, one with a boob out. I mean, yeah, this,
578
00:45:19.880 --> 00:45:22.840
we're getting to the boob section of
the film, now we are, because
579
00:45:22.880 --> 00:45:27.760
there has to be once, you
know, exploitation film. They're driving along
580
00:45:28.119 --> 00:45:32.159
and all of a sudden, every
dirt bike in Italy shows in Morton Joe
581
00:45:32.199 --> 00:45:43.559
and his junior kickstarters aquatic Mr malsatian
Um. Yeah, he's driving along,
582
00:45:43.639 --> 00:45:47.400
big blue fish boy with two women
with no tops on but like the string
583
00:45:47.639 --> 00:45:52.880
under their boobs, which I thought
was yeah choice. Also, one of
584
00:45:52.920 --> 00:45:57.039
the sacrificed boob ladies from the start
wakes up. Suddenly it was all the
585
00:45:57.079 --> 00:46:02.719
trap Whipps, Whipps, Shannon up, the all the corps has come to
586
00:46:02.840 --> 00:46:12.320
life. He gets murdered up right
through his acrylic jumper since the last day
587
00:46:12.400 --> 00:46:15.360
before, and he's like, it
could have been a beautiful world. Some
588
00:46:15.519 --> 00:46:21.440
ship. I don't know. That's
something about saving the mutants. They expires
589
00:46:21.719 --> 00:46:24.320
and they were all like, well
he was a bit racist, but they
590
00:46:24.360 --> 00:46:30.960
always are. Academics and then this
big society, the big fight ensues,
591
00:46:30.239 --> 00:46:34.559
another big fight, because again this
film is mostly fights at the point.
592
00:46:34.639 --> 00:46:38.639
Now, um so everyone facts as
well. He gets suspicion suspicious of Lilith
593
00:46:38.679 --> 00:46:42.440
because I think he's only just met
her. She must have jumped out of
594
00:46:42.440 --> 00:46:45.400
the van or something, and then
says that they're all mutants. So he
595
00:46:45.519 --> 00:46:50.159
kind of cottons on very quickly what's
going on? And they're transport mutants And
596
00:46:50.760 --> 00:46:53.159
he's got a very strong moral code
to co facts and it doesn't extend to
597
00:46:53.280 --> 00:46:59.360
mutants apparently, So yes, it's
got a very high tolerance for sound thresholds
598
00:46:59.360 --> 00:47:04.440
hanging out with his mate but not
mutes where and then this, yeah,
599
00:47:04.840 --> 00:47:07.719
infinite amount of dirt bike people come
in and get shot. Got confused by
600
00:47:07.760 --> 00:47:10.960
this because we're just swarming around.
Yeah, a lot of people doing like
601
00:47:12.159 --> 00:47:16.079
skids through puddles, a lot of
people just falling off bikes. One guy
602
00:47:16.239 --> 00:47:19.800
with a leopard skin hat as well. Oh there's a guy with like a
603
00:47:19.920 --> 00:47:23.960
winged thor helmet. It's great,
a fleecy bike. There's a lot of
604
00:47:24.559 --> 00:47:28.840
sellotape to bikes in this, which
all the fun of the fair. I
605
00:47:28.920 --> 00:47:32.000
thought it was filmed in the factory
from RoboCop. This, Yes, it
606
00:47:32.079 --> 00:47:36.639
has very big like just sad industrial
zone vibes, doesn't it. It was
607
00:47:36.760 --> 00:47:39.519
very good. I loved all the
locations of this. It's like scher just
608
00:47:39.719 --> 00:47:47.079
like Draba post Apocalypse at Scenery Italy
was where it was like could you shooting
609
00:47:47.159 --> 00:47:51.840
people? He shoots one guy who
then crashes his dirt bike into a wall
610
00:47:51.880 --> 00:47:52.960
behind him, which I don't think
was meant to happen, but it was
611
00:47:53.039 --> 00:47:57.920
funny. And then there's just a
load of people, yeah, shooting,
612
00:47:57.920 --> 00:48:00.719
shoot in shooting. Some of them
grabbed Lila as well, and then she
613
00:48:00.880 --> 00:48:04.320
tries to get into the Bedford Rascal
and starts, but being a woman,
614
00:48:05.079 --> 00:48:09.280
she can't um and so she gets
kidnapped. The two boobie women help hold
615
00:48:09.320 --> 00:48:13.599
her down, which I was like
solidarity sisters, but whatever, it's the
616
00:48:13.639 --> 00:48:19.119
future. And then they peel off
with Shannon's doing Shannon stuff, ramping his
617
00:48:19.280 --> 00:48:22.360
bike off things and you know,
striking poses left, right and center.
618
00:48:22.519 --> 00:48:25.679
I think his plan was to make
other people run out of Ammo, which
619
00:48:25.719 --> 00:48:30.599
actually his his his tactic in the
end game itself, which I'm not sure
620
00:48:30.800 --> 00:48:35.159
is over, but yeah, yeah, he's nit. The fleecy bike must
621
00:48:35.199 --> 00:48:38.039
be because it looked like spring or
possibly winter. He must have quite liked
622
00:48:38.079 --> 00:48:43.360
that fleecy bike underneath him warm.
He drives it down this this this kinel
623
00:48:43.599 --> 00:48:45.280
and he's like trying to put bullets
in, but people keep attacking him.
624
00:48:45.280 --> 00:48:47.760
So he's like, ah, this
is a nightmare. I can't remember which
625
00:48:47.760 --> 00:48:52.639
ones are used which ones. And
now by this point, Ninja is doing
626
00:48:52.679 --> 00:48:54.199
his kicking at the side of a
road. He fires his gun, his
627
00:48:54.320 --> 00:48:58.039
gun jams, he takes his sword
out, stabs one dude, and then
628
00:48:58.039 --> 00:49:00.639
immediately gets smirked like it was like, you're not very good at Ninja.
629
00:49:00.960 --> 00:49:07.000
But Shannon is trapped in this kind
all the bad slags they're driving down in
630
00:49:07.159 --> 00:49:08.719
his buggy. I think it is
with the flamethrower on it. Yeah,
631
00:49:08.960 --> 00:49:12.199
that's why I've got confused. I
thought it was theirs, But yeah,
632
00:49:12.599 --> 00:49:15.880
I just love nicking. But then
here I go steal it again. But
633
00:49:15.000 --> 00:49:21.400
then Ninja appears in a car like
and just basically does like a fucking dom
634
00:49:21.519 --> 00:49:24.400
from Gears of War and just crashes
into this thing, killing himself in the
635
00:49:24.480 --> 00:49:31.840
process. And again, but I
did look, if you looked closely,
636
00:49:32.039 --> 00:49:36.079
in the driver's seat, there was
a little guy in the head like in
637
00:49:36.800 --> 00:49:38.280
the model or whatever it was,
Yeah, which I thought it was nice.
638
00:49:38.679 --> 00:49:43.440
M Shannon doesn't even stop to go
thanks or anything like, or even
639
00:49:43.519 --> 00:49:45.760
like give him a little prayer or
anything. Now he's fucking straight off back
640
00:49:45.800 --> 00:49:51.119
on the dirt, like he's off. Karnak has appeared and he's helping them
641
00:49:51.159 --> 00:49:54.760
now for some reason. Yeah,
he's sort of like skulking in the Yeah,
642
00:49:54.800 --> 00:49:58.239
he's sort of skulking for a while. He's caught up with them,
643
00:49:58.280 --> 00:50:01.039
but he pretends to be on Shannon's
side, which I can't believe Shannon was
644
00:50:01.360 --> 00:50:07.079
taken in by that. But he
takes the Bedford Rascal. He suggests,
645
00:50:07.159 --> 00:50:09.840
he suggests that he's going to help
um, and that's something I think.
646
00:50:09.840 --> 00:50:14.599
It's kind of like the greater good
greater. And then a little bit later
647
00:50:14.719 --> 00:50:17.079
on there's a there's a mention from
Layla where it's kind of like should I
648
00:50:17.159 --> 00:50:22.639
trust him his intentions are not right
or something like that, just a nemesis
649
00:50:22.719 --> 00:50:25.719
in't anyway, they tell the others
to take the fan and go to the
650
00:50:25.800 --> 00:50:30.880
rendezvous. Well, he, Shannon
and Swarthy Leathers go back to the it's
651
00:50:30.960 --> 00:50:34.800
it's a prison, but it looks
a lot like a brick works, and
652
00:50:34.920 --> 00:50:37.840
it does say brick works on one
of the wars. Yes, but also
653
00:50:39.159 --> 00:50:45.800
it has ant world. I got
nuclear fuck and animals, and I can't
654
00:50:45.840 --> 00:50:52.760
make a sentence out of that.
Fuck nuclear animals, I mean all of
655
00:50:52.800 --> 00:50:57.199
these things and then antworks. Yeah. Oh, Also, Kovac has been
656
00:50:57.760 --> 00:51:00.800
kidnapped. He's been he's been taken
prisoner and for some reason they have sealed
657
00:51:00.880 --> 00:51:08.280
him up in a wall first like
a like a we go into this layer
658
00:51:08.559 --> 00:51:13.679
with them all sleeping, and it
was massive Jabber's palace rip off stuff,
659
00:51:14.000 --> 00:51:17.119
including the fact that he had been
put in carbonite, or at least Italian
660
00:51:17.159 --> 00:51:22.199
American carbonite. I guess quick Setting
is in exactly the same place as Jimmy
661
00:51:22.239 --> 00:51:28.000
Hoffer. You would have had held
him in position well, it did that
662
00:51:28.280 --> 00:51:30.760
and then held him for a bit
longer, it's like. And also concrete
663
00:51:30.760 --> 00:51:34.360
heats soup anyway, so you would
have cooked. Yeah, and without meaning
664
00:51:34.400 --> 00:51:37.119
to steal a James fact. I
know you'll have this one, James that
665
00:51:37.239 --> 00:51:42.559
if you were to bury somebody in
concrete, the concrete sucks out all the
666
00:51:42.719 --> 00:51:45.719
moisture in your body, actually causing
your body to explode. I think you've
667
00:51:45.880 --> 00:51:50.840
way overestimated, So you could have
had that one for free. You just
668
00:51:50.920 --> 00:51:52.519
had to tell the listeners. Of
course I had one, yeah, but
669
00:51:52.880 --> 00:51:57.320
because I was when when they were
planning around the room with everyone being asleep,
670
00:51:57.800 --> 00:52:00.039
I was like, why is there
a man in the wall? And
671
00:52:00.039 --> 00:52:01.079
then I was like, oh,
oh, I hope it's not what I
672
00:52:01.159 --> 00:52:06.679
think it is. I hope he
doesn't get his head turned upside down,
673
00:52:07.199 --> 00:52:10.480
no wonder he's begging for death.
But you can't see the other side of
674
00:52:10.519 --> 00:52:19.599
that wall. Somewhere to park your
bike if nothing else. The old jokes
675
00:52:19.639 --> 00:52:22.960
are the best. But they can't
get through because there's a fence there.
676
00:52:23.280 --> 00:52:28.639
So they decide to find some rope
and climb over it. For some reason,
677
00:52:28.719 --> 00:52:31.480
the blue fish man has like trapped
a little you know, like jab
678
00:52:31.599 --> 00:52:36.519
I had the gold chains on my
this guy bit of string, same thing,
679
00:52:36.599 --> 00:52:38.719
and it's you know, work with
what you've got. So they find
680
00:52:38.760 --> 00:52:42.119
some rope, they throw it over
things, and then they climb up and
681
00:52:42.119 --> 00:52:45.599
they climb and they're like as they're
climbing down, some guy sort of wakes
682
00:52:45.679 --> 00:52:52.800
up a bit yeah America before he
got big yeah yeah. For some reason
683
00:52:52.920 --> 00:52:54.960
he and he goes swarthy leathers.
You take him out, I'll get the
684
00:52:55.079 --> 00:52:58.760
gol. That's what the leathers is. Like, okay, but we could
685
00:52:58.800 --> 00:53:00.960
just leave. Laitly goes back to
sleep and then do it like because everyone's
686
00:53:00.960 --> 00:53:06.280
like sleep, it's no go and
gently tickle him with a knife. So
687
00:53:06.440 --> 00:53:09.480
they takes Shannon ages to climb down
that fucking rope as well. It's swarthy
688
00:53:09.559 --> 00:53:14.440
leathers, like two hands and he's
down there. The guy in the like
689
00:53:14.679 --> 00:53:16.599
the mutant in the car thing,
just grabs the bottle of wine as a
690
00:53:16.679 --> 00:53:22.039
drink, goes back to sleep.
Yeah, it's over. Karla just comes
691
00:53:22.079 --> 00:53:25.039
over like puts his hand on his
mouth and then like gently taps his neck
692
00:53:25.119 --> 00:53:28.320
with the knife and then he's dead. And I was like, is it
693
00:53:28.320 --> 00:53:31.760
a magic knife? And then he
very conscientiously puts his beer down very carefully
694
00:53:31.840 --> 00:53:38.280
next to him. That Shannon rescues
Lilith and they climb back. He's like,
695
00:53:38.480 --> 00:53:42.039
you get out of here, climb
up the rope. So they both
696
00:53:42.119 --> 00:53:45.960
climb up, Shannon taking fucking ages
like me climbing up should have tied knots
697
00:53:45.000 --> 00:53:50.599
in it. And then they go
up there and then as Karen acts about
698
00:53:50.639 --> 00:53:52.760
to climb it. Oh no,
they see sorry, they see Kovac and
699
00:53:52.840 --> 00:53:59.760
he goes he wants to die,
so he can't make any noise, never
700
00:53:59.840 --> 00:54:01.159
one wake up. Yeah, but
he doesn't even whisper. I think he
701
00:54:01.280 --> 00:54:06.400
can't be. He subjected to some
form of cruel and unusual punishment. Anyway,
702
00:54:06.880 --> 00:54:10.800
he's in a wall front and back
mate, the human finger trap.
703
00:54:13.119 --> 00:54:15.679
Yeah, little goes, he's begging
for death. Carnick not missing a beat.
704
00:54:15.719 --> 00:54:20.559
I'll fucking do it. You get
out of it. I just love
705
00:54:20.679 --> 00:54:23.239
killing. That clock needs to be
pointing to one o'clock about now, doesn't
706
00:54:23.280 --> 00:54:28.440
it and fixes it and yeah,
yeah, just grabs his head and roll
707
00:54:28.480 --> 00:54:30.400
taste it. And I was like, cause us a lot of blood and
708
00:54:30.559 --> 00:54:34.360
dribble. Yeah yeah, well,
and I didn't under think where the blood
709
00:54:34.400 --> 00:54:37.239
would come from because he just broke
his neck. But anyway, one of
710
00:54:37.280 --> 00:54:40.679
the mutants underneath wakes up, but
he's like, it's all sticky. I
711
00:54:40.719 --> 00:54:45.760
shouldn't have fallen asleep under this human
glory hole. And then he shoots the
712
00:54:45.880 --> 00:54:49.480
rope as Carlos climbing up, and
I'm like, you can hit a fucking
713
00:54:49.599 --> 00:54:52.599
rope, but you can't hit a
bloke that stood there. This is the
714
00:54:52.679 --> 00:54:57.960
problem with humans My next favorite bit
of dialogue. At this point, Shannon
715
00:54:58.039 --> 00:55:01.880
and Lilith are running away and they
hear unfire and then Lila says, he's
716
00:55:01.920 --> 00:55:09.280
not dead, but I sense he's
in trouble. Oh is there anyone here
717
00:55:09.280 --> 00:55:15.639
whose name begins with S? I
think, to which Shannon responds with the
718
00:55:15.760 --> 00:55:19.960
end game makes its own rules or
something along those lines. I'm like,
719
00:55:20.159 --> 00:55:22.679
yes, its fucking all the way
through this film it does. But he
720
00:55:22.840 --> 00:55:27.639
yeah, he's he's they're all setting
on him and he didn't do him shooting.
721
00:55:27.880 --> 00:55:31.039
They drive off because of course the
fuck do, and they catch up
722
00:55:31.119 --> 00:55:36.360
with the Bedford Rascal, which is
another quarry, which is another fucking quarry
723
00:55:36.480 --> 00:55:40.400
has gone from a series of quarries
in the location, which is all houses
724
00:55:40.400 --> 00:55:45.960
will be quarry based, just quarry
after quarry after quarry. The Redford Rascal
725
00:55:45.039 --> 00:55:47.519
drives to a big puddle and I
was concerned that it was going to get
726
00:55:47.599 --> 00:55:52.719
stuck, and Shannon ramps down the
side of this thing and looks quite cool
727
00:55:52.760 --> 00:55:57.400
on his third life, and then
we get we're near the end now people,
728
00:55:57.440 --> 00:56:00.880
so you know now, now's when
the plot kicks, and yeah,
729
00:56:00.920 --> 00:56:05.800
because everybody turns up at this point
to police riot vans show up the big
730
00:56:05.880 --> 00:56:08.480
box thing from before, and yeah, Channon does what he does best,
731
00:56:08.559 --> 00:56:12.840
goes off on his bike, gets
you know, shot at for a while,
732
00:56:13.239 --> 00:56:15.760
does does some jumping over stuff,
sweet does a one eight, does
733
00:56:15.800 --> 00:56:23.119
some kick flips. It's very you
shut myself, but one of the Colonel
734
00:56:23.199 --> 00:56:27.920
Morgan is there and he's like,
you bastard. For some reason, I
735
00:56:28.039 --> 00:56:30.119
hate you and I don't know why
because it's never been fully explained, and
736
00:56:30.239 --> 00:56:34.079
force some mutants out of the van
as well, getting to line up along
737
00:56:34.119 --> 00:56:37.920
the van divibes about where this is
going, and then with the access we
738
00:56:38.079 --> 00:56:44.800
get Shannon, using his newly acquired
psychic powers, goes, Tommy, can
739
00:56:44.920 --> 00:56:52.920
you hear me? Yeah? I
think Army can you hear? Lilith acts
740
00:56:52.920 --> 00:56:57.159
as are kind of like intermediary telepaths, so yeah, I was hoping they
741
00:56:57.159 --> 00:57:00.679
could be all sorts of the string
between their hooting cans. Tommy, can
742
00:57:00.719 --> 00:57:05.960
you hear me? No, this
is KEYTHM there. Can you put Tommy
743
00:57:06.000 --> 00:57:09.039
on? And he's like, Tommy, now is your time to shine fuck
744
00:57:09.119 --> 00:57:15.920
him up? Son, and Tommy
goes right activate the wind machine and yeah,
745
00:57:16.000 --> 00:57:22.239
basically he psychically controls the infinite gun
shoots a load of them, but
746
00:57:22.400 --> 00:57:24.599
not in any sort of order,
if that would make sense, because the
747
00:57:24.679 --> 00:57:28.199
one at the back falls over and
on the front falls over, and like,
748
00:57:28.280 --> 00:57:30.800
that's not how bullets work. But
it's fine. It's the future.
749
00:57:30.440 --> 00:57:35.880
Some of the future police try and
climb up some screen, but get bowlders
750
00:57:35.960 --> 00:57:39.440
dropped on them, which I thought
was dying. Yeah, like something styrofoam
751
00:57:39.480 --> 00:57:45.039
bowlders folding. That's nice in it's
pretty much rocking those cars that they have
752
00:57:45.159 --> 00:57:49.480
at the end of Takeshi's Castle,
aren't they at the end game is you've
753
00:57:49.480 --> 00:57:54.039
got to try and break the paper
ring. He drops a car on some
754
00:57:54.159 --> 00:57:59.679
of the other policemen as well,
very slowly and very carefully lowers it onto
755
00:57:59.760 --> 00:58:02.360
the of her list. They've done
the risk assessment that day. Um,
756
00:58:02.559 --> 00:58:06.880
and then he's like, um,
Colonel Morgan is doing great. Oh no,
757
00:58:07.119 --> 00:58:10.280
my hands betraying me acting. And
then for some reason, instead of
758
00:58:10.320 --> 00:58:14.000
keeping his mouth closed, opens his
mouth and choose myself in the head.
759
00:58:14.719 --> 00:58:16.199
I don't know what difference he would
have made, but I just thought it
760
00:58:16.280 --> 00:58:22.079
was a strange thing that and then
all that stuffs, and then I genuinely
761
00:58:22.159 --> 00:58:23.679
thought, oh, what the funk
now, because he's like, all right,
762
00:58:23.719 --> 00:58:28.400
we're all cool and safe now.
And then a helicopter comes in and
763
00:58:28.519 --> 00:58:30.760
it gets alarmingly close to that wall
of the quarry. I thought, oh
764
00:58:30.960 --> 00:58:35.639
fuck, am I going to watch
one of those Faces of Death style situations
765
00:58:35.719 --> 00:58:40.039
here? But no, it just
it just lands. It really needed twilight
766
00:58:40.159 --> 00:58:49.880
zone. Two lads carry this fucking
like ammunitions case full of gold over which
767
00:58:49.920 --> 00:58:52.840
I'm fair that helicopter wouldn't be able
to take off with that, but it
768
00:58:52.920 --> 00:59:00.599
also takes off with about seven thousand
We are no mutants to hollow inside um.
769
00:59:00.239 --> 00:59:02.960
They gave it him and they go
cheers for that, as promised,
770
00:59:04.360 --> 00:59:09.079
and Shannon just goes so he does. He just squints, and they go
771
00:59:09.679 --> 00:59:14.119
right by and goes you come with
us if you want, and he's like,
772
00:59:14.360 --> 00:59:19.480
no, all right, then come
on. He's got some actual dialogue
773
00:59:19.480 --> 00:59:22.360
at that bit. He says,
Lilas, look inside of me, read
774
00:59:22.480 --> 00:59:25.920
my thoughts. You are the future. I am the past, and could
775
00:59:25.960 --> 00:59:30.599
have added, oh, I know
he's stabbing be useless and this new mutant
776
00:59:30.719 --> 00:59:35.800
rate, where are you going anyway? Society? Is there room in the
777
00:59:35.840 --> 00:59:40.000
new mutant society for a bloke who
just rasses round on dirt lines, probably
778
00:59:40.400 --> 00:59:46.719
delivery guys. Hello, is that
the pizza shop? No, Tommy,
779
00:59:46.760 --> 00:59:52.880
it's me again. Get out of
my brain. Be a nightmare, won't
780
00:59:52.039 --> 00:59:55.199
everyone could read each other stoughts?
If be a fucking nightmare? So yeah,
781
00:59:55.360 --> 01:00:00.000
like all ten of these mutants and
the two guys getting this very small
782
01:00:00.199 --> 01:00:07.880
mash style helicopter, super sad,
and then who should appear but Karnak.
783
01:00:08.039 --> 01:00:14.360
He survived somehow, He's not dead, but he is in danger and they
784
01:00:14.440 --> 01:00:16.360
both start to stare at each other. He says, we haven't played the
785
01:00:16.440 --> 01:00:21.239
final round of end game yet because
it's not ended. I thought I had
786
01:00:21.599 --> 01:00:25.360
never had no end to look at
the ball, it's gonna move, don't
787
01:00:25.400 --> 01:00:30.280
think about the event. And then
like he pulls his knife out. He
788
01:00:30.360 --> 01:00:34.559
pulls his knife out, and then
it's like the end of Rocky. Yeah,
789
01:00:34.760 --> 01:00:38.840
they've charged at each other in this
quarry freeze frame credits beautiful, and
790
01:00:38.960 --> 01:00:43.119
I was like, I enjoyed that. It was just the right level of
791
01:00:43.199 --> 01:00:47.800
silliness. Yeah, I enjoyed it. I'm ready to give it a rating
792
01:00:49.400 --> 01:00:54.559
for I'm going to go for three
silver crates of golden ingots, but they're
793
01:00:54.559 --> 01:00:59.760
still silver Man I can't work like
that. That's that's alchemy. Yeah,
794
01:00:59.880 --> 01:01:01.920
I put it as middle and like
I didn't like it as much as say,
795
01:01:02.159 --> 01:01:07.159
Into Zone. Into Zone was another
Italian film on the podcast few months
796
01:01:07.199 --> 01:01:10.559
back, had me that had me
entertained with the special effects and everything.
797
01:01:12.480 --> 01:01:16.679
But yeah, there is a whole
series of these Italian mad matches, so
798
01:01:17.039 --> 01:01:21.360
that might be it might be a
season going forward. I am going to
799
01:01:21.440 --> 01:01:28.599
give this five silver mutant detectors that
have a limited radius of like two centimeters,
800
01:01:29.039 --> 01:01:32.559
four wet rats. I was going
to go with life plus tablets.
801
01:01:34.480 --> 01:01:39.800
Oh he refuses to drink it at
one points. Yeah, that behavior.
802
01:01:40.039 --> 01:01:53.000
Always drink your lifeless men among men
bless. Okay. So that was three's
803
01:01:53.280 --> 01:01:58.719
endgame Bronx Ladder Finale, which means
Bronx Final Fight, although it was never
804
01:01:58.840 --> 01:02:01.920
released in Italy and initially on the
HS. I think it was a bit
805
01:02:02.039 --> 01:02:07.400
longer for that to matter their loss
m. It was also known as the
806
01:02:07.480 --> 01:02:13.280
Gladiator of the Future in France,
the last game in the Hungarian and the
807
01:02:13.440 --> 01:02:19.079
last game with death. Wow,
that's good. It makes more sense than
808
01:02:19.239 --> 01:02:25.480
Endgame Bronx. A lot of Fenale, but yeah, yeah, that was
809
01:02:25.559 --> 01:02:32.599
released same year as Return of the
Jedi, Ox Pussy, Superman three,
810
01:02:34.280 --> 01:02:37.960
all of those, but it was
mainly a mad Max rip off. It
811
01:02:37.159 --> 01:02:43.239
was produced by Film Rage, who
went on to produce troll To, which
812
01:02:43.320 --> 01:02:46.400
is widely rated as one of the
worst films ever. Yeah, we're not
813
01:02:46.480 --> 01:02:50.159
going to cover it. One of
the people have done it better. It
814
01:02:50.280 --> 01:02:53.920
was directed by Stephen Benson, not
his real name. He also goes by
815
01:02:54.000 --> 01:02:59.880
Joe Armato. That's not his real
name either, which is christ what will
816
01:03:00.039 --> 01:03:02.000
within wheels? None since his day? What's Joe? Had the matter with
817
01:03:02.119 --> 01:03:09.000
you? Even I ris dd a
massa guessie, I've got to have a
818
01:03:09.079 --> 01:03:15.920
stab at his name with We've got
this theory that you know, the more
819
01:03:15.079 --> 01:03:22.039
names that the film has the worst
is Yeah. He is a direct well,
820
01:03:22.079 --> 01:03:24.400
he was a director, produced nearly
two hundred direct credits overall, a
821
01:03:24.519 --> 01:03:31.800
hundred and twenty of those being porno
films, including Porno Holocaust and his Yeah,
822
01:03:32.000 --> 01:03:39.760
and his first credit in two was
More Sexy Canterbury Tales where mid season
823
01:03:39.880 --> 01:03:45.960
the film do you like Canterbury Tales? Do you want more the Catholic Church?
824
01:03:46.039 --> 01:03:49.760
We've made a few changes. Um. Yeah. He was the producer
825
01:03:49.800 --> 01:03:52.519
for inter Zone that we watched a
while back. So if there is a
826
01:03:52.559 --> 01:03:58.119
similarity, I mean it does make
sense. Mid eighties Italian budget films is
827
01:03:58.280 --> 01:04:01.800
very much as Ballpark said, I'm
genuinely another Ballpark. Yeah it's different.
828
01:04:02.199 --> 01:04:06.639
Is that one of these the Ballpark? Probably? It's Yeah. I am
829
01:04:06.679 --> 01:04:12.440
feeling that they just went out to
locations and shot stuff all the same time.
830
01:04:12.679 --> 01:04:15.280
Yeah, pretty much, and then
cut it into different films. Of
831
01:04:15.360 --> 01:04:18.400
all the movies, he said that
he liked this one the best. I've
832
01:04:18.400 --> 01:04:20.960
got a quote here. Each time
I make a movie, it's a little
833
01:04:20.960 --> 01:04:25.280
bit better than the last. I'm
not young, but I'm very enthusiastic.
834
01:04:25.679 --> 01:04:31.239
And then he said in response to
what about Endgame and I know Gladiators of
835
01:04:31.239 --> 01:04:35.480
the Future which was shot simultaneously,
and he said those two films were made
836
01:04:35.519 --> 01:04:40.320
to exploit the success of Mad Max. So there you go. There's no
837
01:04:40.559 --> 01:04:45.960
love lost. So I don't feel
like he was a man that had much.
838
01:04:45.639 --> 01:04:50.519
Shannon was played by our Cliverer real
name Pierre Luigi Conti, which is
839
01:04:50.559 --> 01:04:54.760
the most Italian name I think I've
ever read. Had a bit of French
840
01:04:54.840 --> 01:04:58.639
throwing there as well. Why is
everyone a k A in this fucking film?
841
01:04:59.199 --> 01:05:03.480
Yeah? Literally, he gave up
acting in the ninety nineties to go
842
01:05:03.599 --> 01:05:10.199
and bind sell furniture. In two
thousand and four, absolutely true. In
843
01:05:10.280 --> 01:05:13.039
two thousand and four he was listed
as working at a flea market in Rome,
844
01:05:13.440 --> 01:05:16.559
and now you can stay with him
in a luxury villa in Bali called
845
01:05:16.639 --> 01:05:26.960
Bali Vini, which is which is
described as affordable. Um, yeah,
846
01:05:29.119 --> 01:05:31.519
on your holiday, like it's there. I would, I mean, I
847
01:05:31.639 --> 01:05:35.719
would, how much it is?
That's holiday. I couldn't find it.
848
01:05:35.920 --> 01:05:40.559
I was very much tempted to write
in and it's got lots of reviews on
849
01:05:40.679 --> 01:05:45.920
things like trip Advisor and everything saying
that Luigi the host and his wife Brenda,
850
01:05:45.000 --> 01:05:51.320
I think, but very red from
us. It was. I'd have
851
01:05:51.480 --> 01:05:56.239
more questions for her, to be
honest, but yeah, yeah, they
852
01:05:56.280 --> 01:05:58.920
seemed like quite pleasant. My husband
was in the end game and there were
853
01:05:59.000 --> 01:06:06.719
no Christmas tree. Lilith was played
by Lorette Marcia Gemzer. She was born
854
01:06:06.760 --> 01:06:13.119
in Indonesia and cast by Stephen Benson
Joe Armato pick a name, any name
855
01:06:13.599 --> 01:06:17.800
in the Emmanuel series in the seventies
and was a long time softcore actress,
856
01:06:18.079 --> 01:06:21.840
and she later drifted into costume design, which was clearly a mistake because then
857
01:06:21.880 --> 01:06:27.920
she then provided the costume design and
coordination for troll Too, and then I
858
01:06:28.039 --> 01:06:32.000
think did nothing after that. All
her quotes on IMDb for her films feel
859
01:06:32.079 --> 01:06:36.000
like she's very confused about that period
of time, which makes me feel very
860
01:06:36.039 --> 01:06:43.519
sad about her career. Drug Ninja
was played by Haruhiko Yamanucci, and he
861
01:06:43.599 --> 01:06:46.039
began his career as a mine.
He also starred in The Life Aquatic in
862
01:06:46.079 --> 01:06:50.400
two thousand and four, which is
probably as biggest credit today, just a
863
01:06:50.440 --> 01:06:56.559
couple more Karnak swarthy leathers. That
was George Eastman, not his real name,
864
01:06:57.119 --> 01:07:00.480
Luigi Montefiori. He also co wrote
this scripts. He's now a well
865
01:07:00.559 --> 01:07:05.719
regarded author in Italian television and acts
only occasionally. He later said the idea
866
01:07:05.800 --> 01:07:09.719
was all right, like all the
others, it was made on two smaller
867
01:07:09.760 --> 01:07:13.079
budget. These post atomic films,
which were made in the wake of various
868
01:07:13.119 --> 01:07:15.599
mad Max films, were decidedly crummy. Set designs were poor, and the
869
01:07:15.719 --> 01:07:20.000
genre met the swift and well deserved
death. And apparently he did the DVD
870
01:07:20.559 --> 01:07:25.840
extras. There's a fifteen minute interview
with him, apparently, and he's highly
871
01:07:25.960 --> 01:07:30.199
critical of the stunts and a bit
of a downer, but then we'll pick
872
01:07:30.239 --> 01:07:38.360
it back up with Captain Morgan Gordon
Mitchell real name. I thought he was
873
01:07:38.400 --> 01:07:44.760
going to be called like Semi Balost. I don't know that it's his actual
874
01:07:44.840 --> 01:07:47.519
actual name, but he's not an
Italian um. So he actually served in
875
01:07:47.639 --> 01:07:53.159
World War Two on the Allied side
and he was he was actually at the
876
01:07:53.159 --> 01:07:56.840
Battle of the Bulge where he was
captured, so he had what a story
877
01:07:56.960 --> 01:08:00.440
to tell. Later served in career, became a bodybuilder. Arnold Schwarzenegger attended
878
01:08:00.480 --> 01:08:04.039
his funeral memorial service and he has
a hundred and fifty two acting credits,
879
01:08:04.239 --> 01:08:09.679
including a bit part in Spartacus I
mean as one of like many in the
880
01:08:09.760 --> 01:08:15.199
crowd going um. He later went
on to star in Terror Force Commando,
881
01:08:15.399 --> 01:08:19.960
which is about Camerooneese police officer and
a CIA agent who tried to prevent the
882
01:08:20.039 --> 01:08:26.359
Pope from being assassinated by Italian terrorists
during his African tour. That sounds like
883
01:08:26.439 --> 01:08:30.199
a lot of words, there isn't
it. Yeah, there's a lot of
884
01:08:30.399 --> 01:08:35.560
locations in the Cameroon and Italian terrorists
and the pope should eat the pope.
885
01:08:39.159 --> 01:08:44.600
Yeah, And then Katie had suggested
that Martha Harrison directed it, daughter of
886
01:08:44.680 --> 01:08:46.760
George Harrison, and said that it
was better than anything her dad ever did,
887
01:08:46.960 --> 01:08:49.199
And I was like, I'll try
and pass that offers a fact,
888
01:08:49.239 --> 01:09:04.560
then charline, okay, and then
your facts. Reviews for this overwhelmingly positive,
889
01:09:04.680 --> 01:09:10.079
and I can see why it is
a little nice slice of cult nonsense.
890
01:09:10.800 --> 01:09:14.880
But I will find I'm sure we've
had before this reviewer. No God's
891
01:09:14.920 --> 01:09:18.119
no Masters to six. It sounds
familiar to me, with a four out
892
01:09:18.159 --> 01:09:21.880
of ten. End Game is an
event where three guys hunt another guy in
893
01:09:21.960 --> 01:09:26.960
an urban environment. Ron Shannon is
being hunted in Wins. In this post
894
01:09:27.000 --> 01:09:30.319
atomic world, mutants are being killed. One such mutant as telepathic abilities and
895
01:09:30.439 --> 01:09:33.399
needs to leave the cities. She
hires Run and his cohorts to get her
896
01:09:33.439 --> 01:09:36.640
party out as they enter a mad
Max type of world. This is a
897
01:09:36.760 --> 01:09:41.119
me to film and was not done
well. Really couldn't get into it.
898
01:09:41.520 --> 01:09:45.239
That's not a review. That's tell
me what happens in the film. But
899
01:09:45.399 --> 01:09:48.880
yeah, and everything else was like
glowingly positive. I mean, I don't
900
01:09:48.960 --> 01:09:53.399
understand that one because I thought the
start of that was probably the best bit
901
01:09:53.479 --> 01:09:58.560
of it, and then it just
when the film was called Endgame. It
902
01:09:58.600 --> 01:10:01.000
should have been about end Game.
It's like if you watch Running Man and
903
01:10:01.039 --> 01:10:04.039
all the running Man stuffs over in
the first half hour, and then schwatz
904
01:10:04.119 --> 01:10:09.399
Nigger sets up a fucking jam shop
somewhere. It's it doesn't make sense,
905
01:10:09.680 --> 01:10:13.479
like make them two separate films Endgame, have them play Catton Mouse in an
906
01:10:13.600 --> 01:10:17.560
urban environment, and then have Endgame
to Let's talk about in a quarry only
907
01:10:17.600 --> 01:10:25.600
in Italian, so it sounds classia
nine out of ten. One of the
908
01:10:25.680 --> 01:10:30.800
best of the genre, Dirk to
End Game, is set in a holid
909
01:10:30.840 --> 01:10:35.840
out metropolis in the year futuristic people
are entertained by the ultimate reality show called
910
01:10:36.000 --> 01:10:42.199
Endgame. It's really what Survivor should
be confusing RN Shannon his end Games greatest
911
01:10:42.279 --> 01:10:45.399
champ. Karnak is his bitter rival
during the game and even helps Shannon to
912
01:10:45.439 --> 01:10:49.000
defeat Karnac, but spares his life. Bad move, question mark. Shannon
913
01:10:49.119 --> 01:10:51.600
is then enlisted by a band of
means sensca the city. Of course,
914
01:10:51.640 --> 01:10:55.279
a suitcase full of gold sweets the
deal and he rounds with a band of
915
01:10:55.319 --> 01:10:59.199
cutthroats, including Ninja, the coolest
guy in the film, but he dies
916
01:10:59.279 --> 01:11:02.159
too quick. There are many great
fight scenes, one involving blind monks and
917
01:11:02.239 --> 01:11:08.439
another with a gang led by a
man who is half fish, a very
918
01:11:08.520 --> 01:11:12.239
disturbing scene that we blosted over.
Eventually, the number of the group is
919
01:11:12.279 --> 01:11:15.520
whittled down to Shannon, but the
mission gets accomplished anyway. Shannon is asked
920
01:11:15.600 --> 01:11:18.920
to join the mutants, which he
doesn't do. Not too smart because Lois
921
01:11:19.119 --> 01:11:23.079
is pretty hot, wouldn't you know
it. As the chopper flies out,
922
01:11:23.279 --> 01:11:27.680
some outcomes can actor battle Shannon for
the gold. The movie ends just as
923
01:11:27.720 --> 01:11:30.000
the battle starts, which is actually
a very cool way to finish. I
924
01:11:30.119 --> 01:11:32.680
love this movie a lot. The
first third is a bit slow, but
925
01:11:32.720 --> 01:11:35.600
once they leave the city, the
action is NonStop. The battle with the
926
01:11:35.640 --> 01:11:42.640
blind monks is amazing and exciting.
Motorcycles and gunplay highlight the scene, as
927
01:11:42.720 --> 01:11:45.800
all the scene is is motorbikes just
crash an interview other in it. The
928
01:11:45.880 --> 01:11:48.039
next battle with a group of mutants
is just as cool, except Ninja dies
929
01:11:48.119 --> 01:11:51.159
here and I must say that blows
big time. It's a big bonk on
930
01:11:51.239 --> 01:11:57.119
for Ninja. This lad who did
nothing really did like two kickings. End
931
01:11:57.199 --> 01:12:00.319
game also has a very depressing feel
to it. It really is very bleak.
932
01:12:00.640 --> 01:12:03.159
This was the bit I picked this
one for. Man seems to be
933
01:12:03.239 --> 01:12:08.279
digressing by way of mutations, and
while Lillis group seems to be advanced,
934
01:12:08.439 --> 01:12:12.079
they are hunted down out of fear. To be honest, this bleakness is
935
01:12:12.119 --> 01:12:16.359
what appeals to me. Ron Shannon
is paid by Al Cliver and his performance
936
01:12:16.560 --> 01:12:21.960
is It's understated at best, but
it works here. The real show stealer
937
01:12:23.079 --> 01:12:27.000
is George Eastman as Kirk Karnak.
He dives into his role with flair.
938
01:12:27.199 --> 01:12:30.880
He's ruthless and amoral, just what
a post nuclear world needs. I mean,
939
01:12:31.079 --> 01:12:36.079
thanks for your dissertation there, Dirty
six. It was more of the
940
01:12:36.600 --> 01:12:42.600
It was more than I like the
fact this world is awful, But what
941
01:12:42.760 --> 01:12:47.119
does that say about me? I
mean he described the monk situation as amazing.
942
01:12:47.199 --> 01:12:50.000
I would have said that it was
incredible and that you couldn't credit it
943
01:12:50.159 --> 01:12:56.640
at all. Is a bewildering series
of events that happened. I mean,
944
01:12:56.880 --> 01:12:59.920
that's it. There is no more
to say about this film. In conclusion,
945
01:13:00.199 --> 01:13:04.560
that was three end game, A
end game, the Final Fight also
946
01:13:04.680 --> 01:13:09.720
known as what was it? Gladiators
of the Future Meet Death, the Last
947
01:13:09.800 --> 01:13:15.800
Game with Death Also yeah, it
goes by many names, A good romp
948
01:13:15.960 --> 01:13:18.479
worth worth hunting down if you want
to watch, you know a lot of
949
01:13:18.600 --> 01:13:24.239
dudes on dirt bike's popping wheel is
constantly Who doesn't your favorite your favorite lines
950
01:13:24.279 --> 01:13:31.000
from the film You Were Mutant?
Yes, we also glassed over the line
951
01:13:31.039 --> 01:13:34.600
where the blue mutant says, you
really know how to turn me on?
952
01:13:39.640 --> 01:13:43.880
Look at me while I abuse you. Damn it. Yeah, I sense
953
01:13:44.000 --> 01:13:50.039
he's in trouble, but he's not
dead. Good Bye everybody, bye.
954
01:14:00.079 --> 01:14:02.199
Yeah. What if I set it
on a dragon? What if I set
955
01:14:02.279 --> 01:14:04.319
on that dragon that those blokes are
singing about
