このエピソードについて
There are places in Britain where the world feels… different.
Where the air is still. Where the path seems to shift beneath your feet. Where something unseen lingers just beyond the edge of sight.
In this episode of Mythic Albion, we step into the hidden realm of the Fae — a world once deeply feared, respected, and believed to exist alongside our own.
From the courts of the Seelie Court and the Unseelie Court… to the wandering trickery of pixies and fair folk… to the quiet presence of brownies within the home…
We explore the origins, nature, and enduring mystery of these ancient beings.
But not all of the Fae are playful.
Some are watchers. Some are warnings. And some… are something far darker.
We descend into the folklore of:
- The headless rider — the Dullahan
- The horrific Nuckelavee, bringer of plague and famine
- The restless dead of the Sluagh
- And the blood-soaked terror of Redcaps and goblins lurking in ruined places
These are not simply stories.
They are echoes of a time when the world was not fully understood…
And the line between reality and myth was far thinner.
From ancient pagan origins, to Christian reinterpretation, to modern folklore — this episode explores not just what the Fae are…
But what they represent.
Because perhaps the Fae did not disappear.
Perhaps we simply stopped seeing them.
Mythic Albion — where the old world is never as far away as it seems.
