SPURS POSTCAST: Amen Thompson Silences Wembanyama Late as Rockets Edge Spurs in Austin Heartbreaker

Casey Viera and NBA champion Devin Brown break down the Spurs' defeat to Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, as San Antonio drops to 0-2 on the season.

Victor Wembanyama totaled a team-high 25 points and 13 rebounds but had his game-tying dunk attempt blocked by Houston's Amen Thompson in the closing moments.

The defensive play serving as the exclamation point to a 20-point evening for Thompson.

Alperen Sengun added 29 points and 10 rebounds while Durant recorded 20.

Dylan Harper (20), De'Aaron Fox (19) and Stephon Castle (15) combined for 54 points for San Antonio in their second game as the starting backcourt trio.

The Spurs try to avoid an 0-3 start Saturday in Dallas taking on Cooper Flagg, Kyrie Irving and the Mavericks.
