ACC TIPOFF BUZZ: Pitt’s Naithan George, Wake's Jamari McDowell, and JJ Jackson BREAK DOWN Season OUTLOOK

ACC basketball heats up as the Duke Blue Devils look unstoppable under John Scheyer, while transfer standouts Naithan George (Pitt) and Jamari McDowell (Wake Forest) aim to reshape the conference’s power dynamic. Can Pitt’s new-look roster and Wake Forest’s gritty mentality end long NCAA tournament droughts, or will Duke’s depth and experience keep them atop the ACC?

Key storylines include Naithan George’s floor general leadership at Pitt, McDowell’s arrival from Kansas to boost Wake Forest’s swagger, and insights into Duke’s strategic shift from one-and-done stars to transfer portal aces such as John Blackwell. The conversation examines coaching turnover across ACC programs, eligibility questions surrounding high-profile transfers, and whether perennial contenders such as North Carolina poised for a resurgence. With the NCAA tournament expanding and conference supremacy on the line, which ACC team has the formula for March Madness glory?
