Next 12 months will be about repair and restore, so wellbeing will be very high on the list, as will safeguarding.

Top 5 areas to focus on are:

Wellbeing

Sonia Mainstone Cotton – lots of great books; Dr Mine Conkbayir and neuroscience can help us understand what trauma does to the brain

Resilience

Annie Davy Routes to Resilience, Julie Revels risk factors, Dr Louise Mansell (psychologist)

Safeguarding

Continue to make the most of the outdoors

Prof Jan White and Early Childhood Outdoors which I’m delighted to be collaborating with;

Staff Morale and team building

Shana Laffy, Sandi Phoenix

Three main developments for 2021:

Global – learn direct from Scandinavia on Forest schools or Pikler approach from Hungary, Reggio Emilia in Italy, Te Whakiri in New Zealand

More specialist providers and niche training because you now have a global audience

Quality of training, so rather than just sit and watch, have groups working together online, peer mentoring, mixture of input and live interactions
