Hearabouts – Interview with Tony Nguyen (Part 2)

Right in time for the Year of the Fire Horse, this 104th episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio, we continue our conversation with filmmaker and documentarian Tony Nguyen, whose film Year of the Cat (2025) was screened at Indiana University in November last year. In today’s episode, we continue our discussion on how displacement continues to shape the lives of refugees’ children, and what Tony thinks are ways to developing one’s artistry while drawing from lived experience.
