Comic Crusaders Podcast #636 – Neil Kleid & Alex Cormack talk Medieval

Medieval arrives from Comixology Originals with the force of a warhammer crashing into a castle gate. Writer Neil Kleid and artist/colorist Alex Cormack bring an intensity, world-building sharpness, and visual brutality rarely seen in modern fantasy comics. We sat down with the creative team for a high-energy, WEPA-fueled conversation about forging this new world and the personal journeys that brought them here.

Kleid brings narrative precision, emotional tension, and the grounded realism that makes the world of Medieval feel lived-inand dangerous. Cormack amplifies every page with gritty textures, kinetic movement, and color choices that plunge readers directly into the story's chaos and atmosphere.

Throughout the interview, the creators discussed not only the craft behind the book, but the emotional stakes, risks, and collaborative chemistry that shaped it. From humorous behind-the-scenes stories to unexpected creative challenges, Medieval reflects two creators pushing themselves into new artistic territory.

Whether you're a longtime fan of fantasy comics or discovering genre-bending work for the first time, Medieval is a standout release that demands attention.
