speaker-0: I'm Alex, here's Jim. This is Tim, which I think is sort of Jim's look-alike with the beard.
speaker-1: I think you're flattering him massively though. Of course, yeah. We're in Germany. And we're in Germany at a rather bizarre event. ⁓ we're here with XPeng. By the way, this t this is Tim, Tim Barnes Clay. ⁓ TV's Tim Barnes Clay. Radio's Tim Barnes Clay. Radio's Tim Barnes Clay. We've got Tim in the house today. How's it going, braid mate?
speaker-2: There you go. going really well although I'm more confused than you two because I've kind of really only just landed today and you got here the other day.
speaker-1: Newsweather, weather travel. ⁓ yeah, so we got here yesterday, you got here today, and ⁓ I've been to quite a lot of events, but in one to one quite like this before.
speaker-2: Yeah, I mean, I'm kind of not really sure what's going on. kind of understood more after you WhatsApp me a few things on my flight via Dusseldorf to Munich. Yeah. Okay. And now we're in the same hotel, but do we know why we're in this hotel?
speaker-1: No. ⁓ so ⁓ we're we're basically here with X Paint and ⁓ we was had some time yesterday to film a static ⁓ car. So basically y when you see those studio shoots, you don't get to drive the car, you just get to have like a first look. And very late the night before we got a spec sheet for the car. We turned up at the event, we had a briefing for which we missed the first half of because someone left us, ⁓ outside a a lock. door for about 15 minutes ⁓ on a different floor of the building and luckily someone texted us to say that they were in a briefing. And we went in and all the stats were completely different to the ones on well not all of them only 80% of them. And then we went to film and they said ⁓ you know we've got half an hour. Could could you make that like to 15 minutes instead? And I said, no.
speaker-0: Sounds made up, doesn't
speaker-1: And it was like twenty minutes. I was like, all right, twenty minutes, I'll do it in twenty minutes. ⁓ the lighting was atrocious. The car was reasonably well lit, the rest wasn't. I was in so much of a rush I left the polarising filter on my camera, so the video looks awful. And then we came to the interactive workshops this afternoon, which are actually presentations. So I can't really make a video on those.
speaker-2: Sounds like a bit of a tragedy that I missed out there.
speaker-1: But we it's been good company and everything. ⁓ it's just like three days to do this is tough when you're self employed. I've left my phone on schoolboy era. ⁓ it it is a bit tough when you're self employed and it's your sole source of income. Mm. Mm. So I I actually thought the car was really nice.
speaker-0: Hi everyone at Paul.
speaker-2: me
speaker-0: Yeah, so we can actually talk about it because this episode will go out after the embargo.
speaker-1: I'd I'm I don't know the embargo, don't ⁓
speaker-0: Tomorrow.
speaker-2: I didn't know that either.
speaker-0: so it's the X Peng L zero three, which is actually a really good looking car.
speaker-1: ⁓ yeah, 'cause I really don't like the look of the G six. ⁓ what d have you had the G six? ⁓
speaker-2: had the G6 in its original form and then it kind of was updated really soon after, wasn't it?
speaker-1: Yeah. So I've had the updated one. ⁓ and I after seeing the P seven ⁓ Munich show last year, I thought the P seven looked amazing. And I've seen the G nine out here and that looks great. And X Peng is so like tech heavy and sort of kind of pushing everything. And I thought the G six is like ⁓ it was just a bit of a pound land Tesla.
speaker-2: bit like that but well that's what they're aiming for isn't it the Tesla Model Y.
speaker-1: Yeah, but like the the Tesla Model Y is many things, but a good looking car it's not. Yeah. And you've got the chance to make a better looking sort of inspired by and instead they've sort of made a worse looking inspired by, I thought.
speaker-2: know what you mean and I'm slightly behind both of you in the fact that I've not actually seen the L03 yet, you know.
speaker-1: Yeah, but you will tomorrow, I guess. Maybe so, but we'll all case to be fair. So is it Yeah, it is, yeah. ⁓
speaker-2: Is it, I mean, is it nice?
speaker-0: So it's d it's basically the same size as the G six. It's ever so slightly ⁓ the same size. Like it's all it's yeah, pretty much the same size. It's weird. But it's it's a s it's a slightly cheaper car, apparently. But I thought it felt nicer.
speaker-1: I thought it was smaller. Yeah, so did I. I felt thought it felt a lot nicer inside.
speaker-0: It looks nicer. It the the interior's a lot better quality. But I just yeah, yeah, it's nice.
speaker-1: Mm-hmm. There you go. So that's the car reviewer Alex Slose, yes.
speaker-2: can visualize it. Have they told you the range yet?
speaker-1: Yeah, they've told us about seven different figures for the range.
speaker-0: It's about three hundred and twenty miles.
speaker-1: Up to depending on which of the three batteries. ⁓
speaker-2: That's not a lot different to the G6.
speaker-1: Is it? ⁓ I think the get the the G six is more, is it not? So
speaker-0: The main difference between these two cars is the the G six is eight hundred volt, which is usually more expensive. And this is four hundred volt. Yeah. So that that brings the price down.
speaker-1: They've got slow charging, but still it's not it's not slow, is it?
speaker-0: Up to two hundred and thirty something.
speaker-1: Yeah. So again, like take ⁓ every number we're giving you take with a pinch of salt because I I I promise you I'm we've seen how I don't know how many different numbers we've just And the research you did was different to the research I'd done.
speaker-0: Yeah. And there's also an extended ranger version with an engine that doesn't drive the wheels, it just charges
speaker-1: To be completely fair, I think some of this complexity comes from the fact that they're launching this car in sixty three countries at once. And probably lots of those have got different specs and lots of markets will say, Well, we want a cheaper car, so we'll have this battery or we want the yeah, so ⁓ probably a lot of the confusion's been caused by that, but the the comms around it haven't been wonderful.
speaker-2: So is the idea that it's going to be more accessible to people, it's going be cheaper?
speaker-0: Yes.
speaker-1: Yeah. Yep. Okay. And it's based on a Chinese car that was actually quite a bit cheaper, wasn't it? The Mona?
speaker-0: So it's a weird one. So like all no ch most Chinese companies, they all have subsidiaries. So this is from X Peng's subsidiary brand called Mona. And they just rebranded it as the X Peng for this outside of China, which is a more accessible brand. Yeah. But that brand is actually a collab between Alibaba and X Peng. So the software's completely different for various reasons. So
speaker-2: Do you like a Mona?
speaker-1: I've never met one. ⁓
speaker-2: ⁓ yeah. I mean moving swiftly on though, I what?
speaker-1: What ⁓ well we are going to go into Munich, we're gonna buy our own dinner and we're gonna watch the football.
speaker-2: do you later, by the You know what, we can't miss that, can we? No. Predictions?
speaker-1: No. No.
speaker-0: I haven't watched any of the games.
speaker-1: By the way, this is this is the World Cup semi final that we're talking about 'cause this will go out after the event. It will do. So we can do predictions here and ⁓ we'll see how on the nose we are or not.
speaker-2: So yeah, hopefully we'll get this semi and I'm thinking what will it be? What will it be? 3-1 I'm predicting. 3-1, yeah. What would you predict Alex?
speaker-0: Let's two now.
speaker-1: Yeah. Engad. Engad.
speaker-2: to England, Obviously. Positive.
speaker-0: Yeah, got the fossil.
speaker-1: Hmm. I d I you know, it's difficult to predict a semi sometimes. ⁓ I mean, I ⁓ I think it'll definitely go to extra time and maybe penalties. And I'm most worried if it goes to penalties, but I think if it goes to extra time, maybe a three two England or a two one England. Yeah. ⁓ and you know what? I would happily sacrifice
speaker-2: I think they'll pull it.
speaker-1: ⁓ let's say Madouake, because he's been completely toilet in the first minute just to go and break Messi's legs.
speaker-2: Bit of drama is what we want, it? I mean, do you think France would go?
speaker-1: Well. What against Argentina? ⁓ it it's hard, isn't it? 'Cause it's like the first time that the top four seats have ended up has the last four teams in it. And so you can't anyone can beat anyone really.
speaker-0: Sporting status, UK's leading football podcast. Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah. It isn't the football is an E V though, 'cause it's got some kind of like magic computer sensor thing in it.
speaker-0: Well, they haven't got the little Volkswagen this this time, have they? Last time they had an ID four bubble car, I think. So that was quite fun.
speaker-1: But no. No. I drove that about that far once. But I'm not allowed to talk about it. Well no, there's only two people in the UK that that were licensed or in the world I think that were licensed to drive it because of the public liability.
speaker-0: Okay. Okay. All right.
speaker-2: Thank I would kind of like watch this space.
speaker-1: And ⁓ the bloke put the remote control down when I was at something and I went
speaker-0: Mm-hmm.
speaker-2: We might learn more about
speaker-1: Hm. We might. Possibly, yeah, you never know. Have a chat. Yeah. Well you've we so far I've learnt more about it from my peers.
speaker-2: Well, likewise. I didn't know is it the LO3 or the L03 I had to ask.
speaker-1: By the way, I don't want to say I'm ungrateful. Like I appreciate the fact that I've been invited to this, but I don't appreciate the fact that I've feel like I've had my time wasted a little
speaker-0: Yeah. Like we've flown out here to have like eighteen minutes.
speaker-1: Yeah, and we're here amongst ⁓ influencer types as well that are clearly being paid for their time. I don't want to be paid for my time, I want to come here and be a journalism. Yeah, a jo a journalism. I want to do a journalism. Yeah. Well Yeah, you need to Yeah
speaker-2: person. I need to do one of those as well. Basically interview somebody this week now on Friday.
speaker-1: They're like, Well, who who who is it? And you're like, Well, I'm s you're supposed to have an interview set up for me and they're like, I'm just trying my best
speaker-2: I I'm sure I'll get an interview with somebody, won't I? At some point in the next, what, two and a half, three days?
speaker-0: So
speaker-1: So by the way, if you like this behind the scenes podcast type chat, go and check out Kickin' Time.
speaker-2: Yes, kick in with outer G, kick in tires. It is, yeah, because we're down with the kids. Yeah, sort of. And yeah, kick in tires. Yeah, that's with myself and Adam Gray.
speaker-1: Is that to appeal to the kids? He's got a lovely head of hair, hasn't he? Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, at least yours falls out in the correct places. Yeah, but it doesn't you don't look like Google Earth.
speaker-2: I feel well jealous don't you? Yeah. Yeah, well, that may to be fair. More than just that.
speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah. No, we'll put we'll put the links to kicking tires in the in the show notes and YouTube description, that sort of stuff.
speaker-1: Yeah. And and your ⁓ your your other things, Timothy.
speaker-2: Yeah, like for what it's worth, like my Instagram, at T Barnes Clay. ⁓ I mentioned that then. And, ⁓ and like my insta, but not my, I've said Instagram, my TikTok that my very young daughter forced me to do. ⁓ right. And I quite enjoy it now. want it. I don't get many people following it, but I quite
speaker-1: And your only phones?
speaker-0: Of course, yeah.
speaker-2: ⁓ my only fans. Yeah. Well, that, that, you know, I keep that on the down low. That's a different podcast.
speaker-1: Yeah. When you first told me I assumed you'd started up like an air conditioning website, but
speaker-2: ⁓ I need to be fair. It is getting more traction than my motoring stuff. I get loads more money. That funds my motoring. Independently wealthy.
speaker-1: Yeah, yeah. Fantastic. Is it you're a strong, powerful man, Tim? Well Friends of ours. That's your hand at Lord. Strong, powerful man. Strong, powerful man. Yeah, I like that.
speaker-2: It's all that.
speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ bringing back to E V, this is old news. I had I had to go on a line bike yesterday and today. Yeah, you did. This is so cool.
speaker-1: Right, hold on. We cut the there's something we need to cover here. We've obviously disappeared. We've obviously spoken quite a lot about Alex's ⁓ dependence on on Greg's. I'm not gonna say fondness, it's become a dependence. Right. So I'll do I'll go out of my way to go like if there's an independent coffee shop over there and I'm next to a Starbucks and a Costa and whatever else, I'll go the independent one and like a bakery or something. I'll I'll seek out an independent one. ⁓ Because they're a bit different and you know. ⁓ Alex is not only is he a chain man, but a very specific chain man, but he's an absolute Greg's whore. Are you?
speaker-0: Not really, no. Just to make this
speaker-1: And yesterday he decided last night he decided to just bugger off on a line bike and ⁓ he's going past all these amazing little pavement cafes and things like that. ⁓ close. Where where do you reckon he went? McDonald's. And he said, I said, why do we why did did you go to McDonald's? And he said, I want a cake.
speaker-2: a Greggs.
speaker-0: Jimmy. McDonald's is a has a different experience in every country you go to. There's a different menu.
speaker-2: sort of a German Big Mac.
speaker-0: Get little cake pops and that sort of stuff.
speaker-2: So he's great, I've learnt something, he says Greg's only in the UK is it? I reckon it won't be long before they expand do you?
speaker-1: Not in the I mean who who in Europe's gonna go to Gregg's? You know if you go we went in the bakery this morning, it's like a thing of beauty, it's like it's like an art gallery.
speaker-2: those folded over things with bit of meat in it. don't want some of that in general.
speaker-1: No, like a baked bean surprise or something, or whatever they do. Yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah. Anyway, the the line bike. ⁓ I don't think line bikes really work that well in London because there's a lack of cycle lanes and that sort of stuff. But everywhere, even in the suburbs around here in Munich, it feels so safe. Yeah. 'Cause you're a bit worried they might be a little bit dangerous, but it it feels really, really safe.
speaker-1: That's the whole vibe of Munich though, isn't it? I mean, we were there earlier. You go into a bar and it's quite a lot of people in there and there's just a nice bit of gentle conversation. Seems like a chilled out place. People are all going about their business. You don't get like big gangs of chavs with antisocial behaviour. You don't feel like you're gonna get stabbed when you walk down the road. ⁓ you know. It's a it it is a nice place with a nice vibe to it.
speaker-2: Yeah, that is not. I've been here a few times and I'd agree on that. It's not like going to Bogner. No. Do know what I mean? No, no. I feel like you're...
speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ great, yeah, I'm a great
speaker-2: Yeah, good old Thetford. I mean to be fair, King's Lynn's quite rough as well.
speaker-1: I was born and raised in Kingsland. Yeah. Yeah.
speaker-0: Expensive.
speaker-2: I mean, the mood might turn tonight depending on the outcome of the football match.
speaker-1: That's something we got in common, isn't it, Tim? Wow from Norfolk. ⁓ yeah.
speaker-2: It's not on map enough on car launches is it?
speaker-1: N no. That's because it's difficult to get cars that
speaker-2: Well yeah it is, but then they make us drives of places like Northumberland and other places. I reckon more car launch events in Norwich.
speaker-0: It's a very long drive from anywhere.
speaker-2: to Norwich. Yeah. It is. No, I agree on that. I want you there. It's great, isn't it? Yeah.
speaker-0: It's quite boring.
speaker-1: Yes, Nor Norwich is actually a really nice city, I think. It does, yeah.
speaker-2: Well, Delia Smith thinks so, doesn't she? Yeah. And a others, Alan Partridge and all that lot. Yeah.
speaker-1: No more cherries.
speaker-2: I'm to smell these cheeseburgers soon.
speaker-1: McDonald's cheese birds.
speaker-2: So you reckon one of those bikes I need to get on?
speaker-0: ⁓ cool. Yeah, they're awesome. Mm. They're quite cheap, they're quite fast.
speaker-1: How much do you need to peddle it? Because
speaker-0: No no. ⁓
speaker-1: ⁓ yeah, I can't do a scooter. ⁓ right. I'll fall off it. And I can't pedal a bike because my knees will explode.
speaker-0: ⁓ so Right, so the the scooters are literally he's cold.
speaker-1: forty eight.
speaker-2: That's so yummy, isn't it?
speaker-1: Wow. The yeah you're you're old enough to be his granddad, mate. Yeah. Jesus. Yeah, he's twenty seven. Tim. You are
speaker-2: ⁓ my stya
speaker-0: There's
speaker-2: Yeah. I mean, in Great Yarmouth, I literally am. I'm about to be his grandpa.
speaker-1: Yeah you are, yeah. Great grandfather in Yarnus.
speaker-2: I'm Alex, cut.
speaker-0: The scooters you don't have to pedal at all. They just you push off with But the bikes, I believe, they're power assisted. Yeah. Because our friend Darius was rider.
speaker-1: Yeah, but I I've got no balance. I think you said
speaker-2: Yeah, just his drone pull.
speaker-0: ⁓ my god, yeah. So ⁓ I'll put his channel in the description, Darius Darius. Really good videos actually.
speaker-1: ⁓ Tech. Traditionally it's been mostly mobile phone stuff, and it's started doing some car videos and they absolutely put mine to shame massively.
speaker-0: But yeah, we were out on the bikes and he left his little drone. I don't know if you've seen this. He's got a drone that's the size of your hand, and you can press a button and talk to it and then just wave at it, it will fly away and come back to you. Yeah. It's amazing. And he left it in a bike and it disappeared. Gutted. It's gutted. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, no, I I I think this city has been really geared up for bicycles and then concentrate scooters. It just feels so safe. Yeah. I wouldn't I wouldn't dream of doing it in London. It just feels sketchy, I think.
speaker-1: Awesome. ⁓ We we should talk to our guest about our guest. Yes. Yeah. So you used to be on the telly then, Timbo. Yeah, years ago. And obviously will be again soon. ⁓ god.
speaker-2: Absolutely. Well, this is the equivalent of it now, isn't it? Of course it is. Yeah, years ago, Central TV. That was great. Before that, Heart FM and before that, Trent FM. yeah, great. So before that I was at... Yeah, so it was. What? Hospital Radio, Hospital Radio. Hospital Radio Norwich. was. Yeah. Norwich. Norwich. Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you ever do any ⁓ hospital rating? Lot of soft teas in there. You you worked on Radio Norfolk as well, didn't you? Well y was you you was working with ⁓ Keith Skipper, wasn't it? Keith Skipper. Is that right?
speaker-2: I was already in all football here. I don't know if he's around anymore. He's got a whole... ...boy. Hey, a lot of those old boys, they stay in that radio station. Yeah. That's it. You get famous in that kind of nice little fishbowl you're in and you stay there.
speaker-1: What he'd be an old boy now, wouldn't he? My my mum won ⁓ Roy Waller's phone in ⁓ general knowledge quiz, whatever it was called. It was like a tea time thing. And she ⁓ she had to go up to Radio Norfolk for the final.
speaker-2: Was that to Norfolk Tower? Yeah, he's gone now. Yeah, he's gone.
speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ I used to love his commentary.
speaker-2: He was a good old boy.
speaker-1: Yeah, he was so like not unbiased.
speaker-2: And yeah. And do you remember ⁓ Radio Broadland? No. Yeah, I was on that. That was the ILR station, independent local radio. was there for a little bit years ago.
speaker-1: No, I don't I yeah. I we probably didn't get it in Humpston. No. ⁓ two C R
speaker-2: What's you get in, ⁓ didn't you get a KLFM as well?
speaker-1: Yeah, K L F ⁓ Yeah, yeah, yeah.
speaker-2: Nothing to do with the KLF though, was it? No. Last train to Transyf.
speaker-1: 'Cause I always thought it sounded like a mercenary group. Like the KLF ⁓ 'cause obviously when I was there it was like during the days of the Troubles and things and it sounded like another one of those organizations. No, no.
speaker-2: No, it'll be, you're probably thinking what are we on about at this point? Only if you're from Norfolk will you get it, especially from West Norfolk. But yeah, no, it's great. Cutting my teeth, cut my teeth in TV, radio. then of course, moving into motoring journalism and then into pretty much anything to do with motoring, lifestyle, you name it. Yeah. It's good. I'm enjoying it. Well, obviously. Clearly. Look at this, it's fashion. Yeah. So I fit. That's right. Yeah. That's in black, bald heads. ⁓ yeah, multimedia stuff. all I made is like black glasses from upstairs. You need to put a little wig on your chin. Yeah. You'd salted.
speaker-1: Yeah. Us in black ball red. Yeah. Yeah, we could ⁓ if we put our heads together. Well
speaker-2: You know, big hits. Yeah, definitely.
speaker-1: Yeah, if we put our heads together we all all sorts of opportunities would present themselves.
speaker-2: Hey, where were they? Collaboration. ⁓ That's what we need, it? Yeah. If you want to be the best, collaboration. ⁓
speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ well, that's ⁓ Roy Carlson, yeah.
speaker-0: I don't know, they may
speaker-1: No, no. No, it's dedication, not collaboration. Dedication's what you need if you want to be a record breaker. Yeah.
speaker-2: is what you need. There you go. It's true. And you're thinking what the hell? Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah, yeah. So I'm really sorry about the quality of this podcast today, but we're we're like a bit fried and ⁓ a little bit frustrated and we're just not messing about.
speaker-2: You've all lost the plot. mean, you two must have lost the plot more than me because you've been here 24 hours longer than me. ⁓ I actually.
speaker-1: Yeah, but Yeah, well yeah, we landed at about half two, didn't we, yesterday? I think yeah.
speaker-0: Sorry.
speaker-2: Yeah. And I got in about, I don't know, half one, half two here maybe. And I'm just, yeah, in following your wake.
speaker-1: Mm. So what what what have you got planned for tomorrow?
speaker-2: Well, I'm going to wake up. You just don't. It's true. I mean, it's just a bonus to know you're breathing. And then once you're up and about, well, once I'm up and about, I'm kind of hoping to go and sniff out an interview. Yeah. And then when I get that,
speaker-1: Never know what I'm Relax. I think you should ⁓ try and get an interview with Jackie Goo. Jackie Goo? He's the technical guy who we've just watched do an interview with. Was he good? But ⁓ he's he's absolutely full of information. There you go. ⁓ and he's kind of s behind a lot of the AI stuff and so maybe
speaker-0: Drive training stuff. He's got a master's in, I think. Yes, I think.
speaker-1: So that's the that's an interesting guy rather than just, you know, marketing person who's gonna give you the press release. ⁓ someone someone like Jackie.
speaker-2: Maybe you can point him out to me tonight. If you see him. Wander agains the round Munich.
speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ tomorrow even. Th they also had there was a guy here that I think headed up the German expense. Yeah, I can't remember that. That would be good. He was talking about, you know, what they're doing sales wise and where they yeah intend to be and blah blah blah.
speaker-2: I'll corner somebody somewhere and then get someone to take a few pictures. Because you two are off tomorrow, aren't you?
speaker-1: Yeah, but not not until quite late, are we? And one other really annoying thing is they're doing drives outside. ⁓ I know. And and I've asked about that. You know, is that something we can get involved in so I could do a video of that? She's like, No. Well it's no reasonable. It was by invitation only. Do you want invite me? No. And that that was the respon response. Do you want to invite me? No.
speaker-0: In afternoon, I think. Well, 'cause I went out to get some lunch about an hour or so ago. ⁓ and I saw one of the cars. I was like, ⁓ I didn't think they were But they were on PL plates. I think that's Poland, I think, isn't it? Or Portugal. It's a bit That's what I thought.
speaker-1: Poland, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, well it is for us. It is for us.
speaker-2: it go me? ⁓ Yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah. Yeah. But it was nice to sit on the rose. Like it wasn't camouflaged or anything. It looks it looks
speaker-1: ⁓ so the the ones I saw were camo. Right.
speaker-0: Yeah, this one was a turtle. Is it greater?
speaker-2: Quite shiny and yeah
speaker-0: Also I quite like all of them have yellow brake calipers. Which so that's a bit of fuss a bit fun, isn't
speaker-1: Yeah, which it's the the car's got a few things that are not dissimilar to Polestar design I think on the outside and obviously the yellow canopy.
speaker-0: She thinks funnies a lot.
speaker-2: Have they got gold stripes in the seat belts and things like that? Be very polite.
speaker-0: ⁓ I didn't notice.
speaker-1: Don't I don't think yeah, I don't think they have. But
speaker-2: jealous now we've got behind the wheel. Maybe there's still time for us to do that.
speaker-1: ⁓ no, apparently not. ⁓ No. No. No, we're we're just not. It's not something that's available to us. Okay. Yeah. Okay.
speaker-2: Well, we'll have to live with that until we can.
speaker-1: Yeah. Still I think check out the hotel tomorrow's about twelve and our flights at about seven. So ⁓ I don't know. I'm I might try becoming a local character tomorrow afternoon. I might get drunk and sit in the street. Well
speaker-2: Tonight, depending on the school, you could still be out. To be fair.
speaker-1: Mm. ⁓ yeah. That's a that's a very good point. ⁓
speaker-2: know you could be taking a long while to come out your hotel room because you're so depressed. mean just
speaker-1: Yeah. I am I must admit, if it if we win tonight I'll be a a complete wild man. ⁓ I I just live on the edge with these kind of things. Obviously I've got to be back in time to take my blood pressure tablet. But No.
speaker-2: You won't care about that, be fair. You'll be so wired and will you care? Alex? One way or the other?
speaker-0: Yeah, it'd be quite nice, I suppose. There you go.
speaker-2: Okay.
speaker-1: When we said we're gonna watch the football tonight, Alex said, ⁓ do you mean association football? And ⁓ Is that what that is? He said, Is that the the game where groups of men kick a ball around ⁓ a field in an attempt to put it into ⁓ a net that sits behind some some posts? Yeah. That Yeah No, what I'm trying to get across is I don't think Alex is a big football fan.
speaker-2: special bag of wind spherical shape
speaker-0: I watched the World Cup of chaos.
speaker-1: How Harry Kane could play for England and Bayern Munich. ⁓
speaker-0: Yeah.
speaker-2: Yeah. mean, fair play.
speaker-1: Hmm.
speaker-0: Well anyway.
speaker-2: I just want to know one thing. Do we know when this L03 is coming to the UK? ⁓
speaker-0: Yes.
speaker-1: Funny you should say that, Tim. No.
speaker-0: Yeah. I don't know how much it's gonna be, are there?
speaker-2: But definitely is coming to the isn't it?
speaker-0: Holmes.
speaker-1: ⁓ unless it's unless it the there's a change of plac.
speaker-2: I had a colleague that I mentioned earlier, Adam Gray, who does that podcast, Kicking Time, who was in China with you.
speaker-0: That's the one. I went to China to drive the La Paz L eight.
speaker-1: No, I didn't go. Did you go? No.
speaker-2: Are you eating? Well, Adam was in China this year, not last year, and he was saying that he was told the L03 wasn't coming to the UK then. Brilliant. But obviously they've changed their minds.
speaker-1: There they're also a group coming over today from the UK with X Pen UK. Yeah. So they might actually have a lot more information than us because we were invited by X Pen Global, weren't we? We weren't all for us. Yeah. I hope so. ⁓ that'll make our content look so much better.
speaker-2: So they might shine a Will and do you guys have a press release yet?
speaker-1: Well, we we had the info sheet that was wrong. It was wrong.
speaker-0: No, so no, not really. So no.
speaker-2: So let's go and get that. That's what we can do tomorrow. Go and get the UK spec sheet and press sheet and everything else.
speaker-0: See how long it is compared to what the phone will differ. Yeah. Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
speaker-2: Yeah. I mean, one way or the other, we'll get some content. Well, this is some content for start, isn't it?
speaker-0: Yeah. It's there's certainly something.
speaker-2: And we're paid handsomely for I am being paid by you guys to appear as your guest on here. Handsomely.
speaker-1: Hell yeah, ⁓ about that. This this is the only show where we charge an appearance fee to you. Didn't I make that quite clear earlier?
speaker-2: I'm gonna be a hard-bo-a-yew-n-a-me- When you said fee, I thought I was being paid. No, but no, I've got to pay you. Okay. But I guess it's all f***er, isn't it?
speaker-1: I mean yeah, we call it a pack of what sits and we we swear but that'd be fine.
speaker-2: Yeah, well mates aren't we?
speaker-1: Yeah.
speaker-0: Mm. Anyway, I think that's probably probably it for this episode.
speaker-1: Yeah, we'll try and do something more like car related and another time maybe and maybe a little bit more sensible, but ⁓ this is just a result of some blokes that are a bit at the moment. Yeah, I think. Yeah. Yeah. To be fair. Yeah, very much so
speaker-2: I think we're all spent now, aren't we? That was
speaker-1: Thanks for coming along, Timothy.
speaker-2: ⁓ That's lovely. It's been cool, Timothy. He's like a father figure to me, know? Yeah. I like that. Well, I'd love to get some more guests on. I'm speaking for your podcast here. Out of turn.
speaker-0: And me as well.
speaker-1: I can see you talking about Alex earlier, actually. Shall I just go now?
speaker-2: Shall I? I'll have to bring Jim on as a guest now and again. ⁓ brilliant. Well, does say that wasn't as human, can you?
speaker-0: Jim's buggered off now, so I'll try and do it on my own. ⁓ if you want to find out more about the podcast, you can subscribe on on YouTube, also on Apple Podcasts as well. And where can people find YouTube?
speaker-2: find me on Instagram at tbarnsclay.com. can see me on LinkedIn and you can find me on Tim also on the school.
speaker-0: Okay. And where do you publish your threat?
speaker-2: stuff pretty much anyone that pays me but at the moment I'm doing this one for a reddit and also I will be doing this for a few printed milk scenes.
speaker-0: Okay.
speaker-1: Sorry.
speaker-0: Very nice. So yeah, I'll put some links to your stuff in the description down below and we'll see you again next time.
speaker-1: I think you're flattering him massively though.
⁓ I know. And and I've asked about that. speaker-1: ⁓ so the the ones I saw were camo. Right.
speaker-0: Yeah, this one was a turtle.
But

speaker-1: Mm.
speaker-0: Yeah.

speaker-1: No, I didn't go. Did you go? No.
speaker-2: Are you eating?
It was wrong.

speaker-1: I mean yeah, we call it a pack of what sits and we we swear but that'd be fine.
speaker-2: Yeah, well mates aren't we?
speaker-1: Yeah.
speaker-0: Mm.
That was
