Speaker 1: Warren Davidson and Jay Ratliff on tomorrow. In the meantime, welcome back to the 55KRC Morning Show. From all accounts, doing a really great job as the chair of the Hamilton County Republican Party. Josh Gerth, good to have you back on the show.
00:00:11
Speaker 2: Hey, Brian. Good morning. How are you?
00:00:13
Speaker 1: I'm doing fine, except for what the hell's going on in my neighborhood, Sims Township. We've got a bunch of vandals going around stealing GOP signs, although the Enquirer doesn't focus on that. They focus on the Democrat signs that have been torn down. What's the story on this one?
00:00:26
Speaker 2: Well, absolutely. You're right. Yes, there was some vandalism that happened to several GOP signs up in your neck of the woods. And God forbid that this doesn't turn into a major story in the Enquirer. I'm actually, as we speak, going back and forth with one of the reporters at the Enquirer who first reported on a Democrat candidate whose signs were targeted, coordinated targeting, as they reported. And reached out to me, didn't take my comment. They did get a hold of Ted Winkler and got a comment from him. But when it happens to our side, all of a sudden it's not a story. And, again, if you don't think that this inquire and the way they report stories isn't biased, it's just this is the perfect example. If it's going to happen to us as well, let's make it a big story. I mean, signs, signs, everywhere are signs. Let's start talking about signs, which you know and I know are kind of ridiculous. Yeah. Yeah.
00:01:21
Speaker 1: And it's so childish to go around and knock down yard signs. I mean, Lord Almighty, grow up. But, I mean, to the extent you think you're bringing it to my listening audience's attention that the Enquirer is biased politically, trust me, Josh Gerth, they already got the memo. Yeah, I know.
00:01:37
Speaker 2: That's why, I mean, again, say what you want about social media. It's why I'm online, kind of railing against these people, because I think people do, right, wrong, or indifferent, we all have our opinions about social media, it does get more coverage. And I think it's important to call out this BS when it happens. And there's a clear bias when the Enquirer reports about a stupid sign incident that and makes it front-page news and doesn't do it when it happens to us. It's ridiculous.
00:02:08
Speaker 1: Obviously, that is in an effort to label the Republicans as the evil vandals in the world when, in fact, we know what's going on, perhaps even larger to the extent on Republican yard signs. Anyway, don't be that guy. Josh Gerth, head of the Hamilton County Republican Party. We've got a real challenge on our hands here in Hamilton County. We all understand the political dynamics going on here, and I don't know that it's necessarily time to bring the flag out and give up completely. But the judicial races are so damn important, and so many people of all political stripes are not defund the police, get rid of law enforcement, and, of course, light on crime, notably in the juvenile court system, where we have Carrie Bloom, who apparently does not believe in holding juveniles accountable. Now, I think this is an issue that crosses political lines. If I live in any neighborhood, if I'm any color person, doesn't matter, I want a safe neighborhood. And you need a strong criminal justice system to serve as a warning shot over the bow of these young people that they will suffer consequences. Carrie Bloom, she doesn't have that philosophy. She lets these kids out all the time.
00:03:10
Speaker 2: It's crazy. And it's a foundation of what is normal and safe and reasonable in our county. I mean, I don't understand. And I'm talking to Republicans out there since I know most of the people listening to your station are. If you don't go vote, between now and November 3rd, you are terrible. You're part of the problem. We have lawlessness. We have children getting raped and murdered. It's ridiculous because of what is happening in one specific court. If we change that court alone, it changes the trajectory of law and order in our county for years to come. It literally changes what is happening. And if you want to know what exactly we're talking about, Go to the Hamilton County Republican Facebook page or go to our Twitter account and watch what the Republican Party just put out about Carrie Bloom. It is very powerful, very powerful. Watch it. I put out a statement about it, which, again, I think kind of hits people between the eyes of what is going on in this county. If you need some evidence, and this is evidence, factual stuff, go and watch that video and read the report on the website.
00:04:21
Speaker 1: I mean, there's multiple cases you break down here. Let's give my listeners one of the illustrations in case they're not inclined to go over and check it out themselves. Back when Dieters was Hamilton County prosecutor, victims, police, and prosecutors agreed to keep a teenager with a multi-jurisdiction crime spree in a juvenile system, a mandatory six-year term with no early release, rather than trying him as an adult where he could have faced up to 60 years in prison. You can do that. So they agreed to this plea deal, guaranteed, mandatory, no early release, Six years. What did she do, Josh Gerth? She released him.
00:04:56
Speaker 2: Let him out.
00:04:58
Speaker 1: Let him out. Unbelievable. There are multiple illustrations of this, one after another after another for all to see with the quotes from the people. I'm glad you put this out. I guess I can only hope that my listeners, you know, grab the report and then widely share it on social media because they're certainly not going to read about something like this in any of our local news outlets, are they?
00:05:19
Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely not. FireJudgeBloom.com. Go there. Check it out. You will be shocked. And if you're not shocked, then I don't know what to tell you. But that's why we need Susan Lucan elected as the juvenile judge. All of our judges are important. We've got a great slate. There's nine total. You have to go down the ballot and vote for all these people. Go to the Board of Elections. I know you had Sherry Poland on earlier. She is awesome. What they do there is awesome. It's so easy. The Democrats are kicking our butt again in terms of early voting. But the good news, Brian, is that people are going to vote early, which means that a lot of our people are coming on board, too. And obviously, we always have a rally towards election day. day. That's just kind of how we are. But I'm encouraged by the fact that the voting turnout so far is significantly more, which is important in these midterm elections. It gives me hope that people are paying attention and going to go get our common sense people elected.
00:06:17
Speaker 1: No question about it. And the choice is Lukin. See, Lukin. Vote Luke and not Bloom. Vote Luke. It'll be evident when you get the ballot. You see Bloom. No, I don't want Bloom. Who's the alternative? You can't remember Luke. It'll be the person who's not Bloom.
00:06:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, and beyond the judges, you know we've got great candidates. You just talked to Pearson. He's a great common-sense candidate. I was at an event last night with Eric Conroy. He's doing great. They're getting ready to pump a lot more money into his race. He just announced that last night. Very exciting stuff.
00:06:51
Speaker 1: Oh, good, because that runs counter to the narrative the New York Times poured out the other day, which said some of the super PACs are pulling funding from his campaign, I guess, giving up and thinking Greg Lansman's a foregone conclusion. That's not the case, is it, Josh?
00:07:04
Speaker 2: No, no. The district that we're in is slightly Republican-favored. Eric's doing everything he should, and he has the backing. He just announced last night we're talking seven-figure investment into his campaign. This thing is not over. Go vote for Eric Conroy. Go vote for the Republican ticket, GOPjudges.com. Let's go, folks. Get out there and do this.
00:07:24
Speaker 1: I appreciate your enthusiasm, Josh Garth. We can save the county from itself. That will be our job to do it. Josh Garth, keep up the great work. We'll have you on the program again real soon, I hope.
00:07:35
Speaker 2: Thanks, Brian.
00:07:36
Speaker 1: My pleasure. Just shy of 855-55-KRC, the talk station. Jack Atherton, always brilliant.
