abu ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi (Arabic: أبو إبراهيم الهاشمي القرشي; born Amir Mohammed Abdul Rahman al-Mawli al-Salbi in October 1976) is an Iraqi Islamist who is the second and current leader of the Islamic State. His appointment by a shura council was announced by the Islamic State media on 31 October 2019, less than a week after the death of previous leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.The U.S. Rewards for Justice Program is offering up to $10 million in exchange for information leading to al-Qurashi's apprehension.

At the time he was announced as the successor of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, little was known about al-Hashimi, but his Arabic onomastic ("nisbah"), al-Qurashi, suggested that he, like Baghdadi, claimed a lineage to Muhammad's tribe of Quraysh, a position that offers legitimacy in some quarters.
