From Virtual Assistant to Speaker Strategist: Building a Business Through Connection

What if the only thing standing between you and your next big opportunity… is the right room?

In this episode of Unveiling Journeys, I sit down with Susie Moon, founder of Susie Moon Consulting, to talk about visibility, connection, and the real strategy behind landing speaking opportunities.

Susie shares her journey from growing up in Baraboo, Wisconsin (aka “Clown Town”) to starting her business as a virtual assistant — and eventually pivoting into helping experts get into the right rooms so they can grow their businesses through speaking.

Bio:
Susie Moon is the founder of Susie Moon Consulting, where she helps experts secure strategic speaking opportunities to grow their businesses through real relationships. After years in corporate roles—including recruiting speakers for seminars—she launched her business in 2019 and eventually shifted from virtual assistant work to focusing fully on speaker strategy and connection. A natural connector from small-town Wisconsin, Susie thrives on putting the right people in the right rooms. Known as the “Mother Nudger,” she blends humor and accountability to ensure clients follow up and think bigger about their impact. She believes everyone is one powerful connection away from something extraordinary—and she’s built her work around making those introductions happen.
