Leviathan (Ep. 042)

On this episode of the MacGuffin Guild, we’re gonna bring some questionable cargo back to our mining base in the depths of the ocean — in Leviathan.

This 1989 Body Horror Sci-Fi Thriller was Directed by George P. Cosmatos and stars Peter Weller, Richard Crenna, Amanda Pays, Daniel Stern, Hector Elizondo, Meg Foster and Ernie Hudson as the arguably cooler Justin Jones.

We're gonna talk some turkey, drink some sea water, and explore whether or not this film is a rip-off.

We'll discuss Stan Winston Studios, Robo’s Oreos and witness an Editor’s worst nightmare.

We'll get into other underwater films, blackberry brandy backwash, Tube Worms, and discuss finding the joy in Caligula.

I'm Pat Dougherty and as always I'll be joined by my fellow MacGuffin's Justin Jones and Mike Antonio.  Our theme song was written and performed by Jordan Vincent.

Now cue the happy music and let’s take a deep dive into… Leviathan.
