This week on The Book Fix Podcast, Yajaira and Cheli are diving headfirst into medieval horror with Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. Set during the Black Death, the story follows Thomas, a disgraced knight who reluctantly becomes the protector of Delphine, a young orphan who claims she can communicate with angels. Together, they set off across plague-ravaged France on a journey involving demonic forces, terrifying creatures, religious horror, and a possible war between Heaven and Hell.

So, can a disgraced knight, an angel-talking orphan, demonic monsters, the Black Death, and one absolutely unhinged Pope fix Yajaira and Cheli’s lives? Or did this medieval horror journey send them straight into reading purgatory? Join the conversation and find out!
