What happens when you stop trying to fit into someone else’s musical box and start creating a sound that is uniquely your own?
Tonight on Teatime with Miss Liz, we turn up the music and welcome Amanda Page Cornett, a singer, songwriter, performer, actress and multi-creative whose journey began before she was nine years old.
Originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, and now living in Nashville, Tennessee, Amanda has built a creative life around storytelling, music and staying true to who she is. Her signature sound, Southern Rock ’n’ Soul, blends the flavours of country, rock, blues, and soul.
Amanda’s musical journey has taken her from early performances through songwriting and recording, including her album Front Porch Rebel, recorded at NuttHouse Studio in Sheffield, Alabama, with songs written at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals.
She has worked with accomplished songwriters including Mark Narmore, Spooner Oldham, Rich Fagan, Will Rambeaux, Greg Lawson and Kirsti Manna, and has participated in Kirsti Manna’s Songwriter Girl Camp.
Now Amanda is bringing another piece of her creative world to listeners with her newest release:

☕ FOOD FOR THOUGHT
What would you say to the person who has a song, story, painting, performance or dream inside them—but is still waiting for permission to share it?
Is it ever too late to begin creating?
Perhaps the answer is simply to start.
Create something.
Make it truthful.
Let people feel it.
And don't be afraid of the crazy dream.
Thank you, Amanda Page Cornett, for bringing your music, creativity and Southern Rock ’n’ Soul to the Teatime table.
Grab your cup and join Miss Liz for another conversation about creativity, courage, dreams and being uniquely yourself.
