Scream

In this special episode of Small Town Cinema, we’re celebrating 30 years of the horror classic Scream — the film that changed the slasher genre forever. Directed by the late, great Wes Craven, Scream didn’t just revive horror in the ’90s — it reinvented it with self-aware humor, brutal kills, and one of the most iconic villains in movie history.

We dive into what made the film such a cultural phenomenon, from its clever script and unforgettable opening scene to the performances that launched a new generation of horror stars. We also talk about how Scream influenced decades of horror films that followed, and why it still holds up as one of the smartest and most entertaining slashers ever made.

If you love horror, nostalgia, or just a good whodunit with a knife and a phone call, this is one celebration you won’t want to miss.
