MetaOptics Technologies CFO Alex Chu joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s latest milestone as it expands its presence in the United States. The company has officially commenced trading of its American Depositary Shares (ADSs) on the OTCQX market under the ticker symbol MOTLY, while maintaining its primary listing on Singapore’s Catalist exchange under SGX:9MT.
Chu explained that the OTCQX listing is designed to enhance the company’s visibility among North American investors and provide U.S.-based institutions and retail investors with a more convenient avenue to participate in MetaOptics’ growth story. He emphasized that the ADS program is not expected to have any material impact on existing shareholders but is intended to broaden the company’s investor base and improve market accessibility.
The move comes as MetaOptics continues to deepen its engagement with customers, industry partners, and institutional investors in the United States. Following its successful Singapore listing in 2025, the company showcased its technology at CES 2025 and CES 2026 and conducted a series of U.S. roadshows that helped validate its commercialization strategy and growth ambitions.
A key component of that strategy is the establishment of MetaOptics’ first U.S.-based front-end semiconductor fabrication facility. The planned facility will feature advanced 12-inch DUV immersion photolithography equipment and is expected to support the large-scale production of the company’s proprietary metalenses and optical modules.
MetaOptics specializes in glass-based metalens technology enhanced by AI-powered image processing. Its semiconductor optics platform is designed to address growing demand across several high-growth sectors, including co-packaged optics (CPO), mobile devices, augmented and virtual reality, automotive applications, and other emerging technology markets.
Chu said the OTCQX listing represents another step in the company’s international growth strategy, helping align its capital markets presence with its expanding U.S. commercial operations. Management believes greater access to U.S. investors will become increasingly important as the company enters its next phase of technology commercialization, manufacturing scale-up, and global market expansion.
