INFORMAZIONI SU QUESTO EPISODIO
I’ve been finding more ways to use AI to keep track of everyday things, like booking Pilates and staying on top of appointments. And the more I use these tools, the more I want to understand what’s actually happening when I ask them to do something.
This week, I discuss Sheila Lirio Marcelo, the founder of Care.com, which helped me find support in my own life. Her latest company, Ohai.ai, helps families manage schedules and all the details someone has to remember. We use that idea to explain how an AI system works, following a busy mom whose day off gets interrupted by a school email about early pickup.
This is the patch:
How I’m using Codex workflows, skills, and automations to bring more order to my routines
Sheila’s story and what led her to build Care.com and Ohai
How an AI system reads information, figures out what matters, and uses it to take an action
How APIs let apps communicate, what you’re allowing through permissions, and why checking that something actually happened matters
What Stanford’s 2025 AI Index tells us about falling AI processing costs and what that makes possible for developers
In the lifestyle segment, the Care.com conversation got me thinking about housekeeping and how good it feels to have your place together. So we’re talking winter sheets, fluffy duvets, Lola blankets, and making your bed feel like the hotel bed you never want to leave.
